this is a bad time for an event to happen at the end of a month cycle. killers are trying to rank up to iri 1 or close to it so they are going for wins.

Try and play some killer matches and be the fun killer.

For whatever reason both sides are playing more competitive and less fun or funny ways.

Yea didnt think about the date and i mean that might be true. Its just that they are toxic i mean slugging the 3rd survivor and just to get me then slugging me for 3 - 4 at the end :D that havent happened in months. One more thing yes i do play killer and mess around during the event ^^ dont worry!

I haven’t confirmed it yet, but the killer might be moving faster than survivors inside snowmen.

Also, due to the way the killer moves in general compared to the survivor, a snowman turning but not actually moving is a dead giveaway.

Though I’ve also not confirmed whether that is true.

no both move at 15% The turning thing tho is true

'You are so entitled that you are 100% blind. I would bet everything you NEVER actually play survivor.'

Mister "killer should let survivors win by design or for personal reasons in a 3 gen scenario because my moral compass say so" calling me entitled and blind... please, tell me you are a troll or buy a mirror.

'Then at the very end when exit gates are prepared - make single big mistake and the game can end in 4K.'

LOL In what other situation that isn't "Killer has NOED or miraculously succeed to evade all the body blocking and get a second hit on an injured survivor, hook it, and then the other 3 survivors decides to become the hero of the game and start gathering in the hook because every single one of them have the absolute need to pass through the exit gates happily hopping and holding hands with the other 3" that can happen? And that is not making a "single mistake" and losing the game, that is making the first mistake of "getting in hero mode x 3" and all the consequent mistakes that leads to not only not saving that first survivors but let the killer get even more. But even if anything of what you have said here was true or made any sense... what is your point? What part of it contradicts the fact that every mistake a killer does is at minimum a couple of seconds lost that can lead to that last gen done before you can even try to do your second hook? Because that was my point, that killer mistakes also punish him and punish him hard, not that mistake survivors do can't throw a game.

'Have you ever heard about camping and tunneling? It's actually killers that abuse base gameplay mechanics and these 2 tactics are being complained about for several years now. Yet it still remains part of the game.'

You mean the two things for which they already have taken action more than once in form of perks or the modification and addition of base game mechanics, like the safeguard after being unhook they added recently? Oh no yeah, I have heard about them. But yet again, care to explain how camping or tunneling is an abuse of the game mechanics or why this contradicts that some abusable game mechanics need to change? Because using your logic, it precisely proves my point, as they already did that to fight tunneling and as far as I know they are testing new mechanics against "slugging". But of course, what I proposed in the other post I made is fighting against something that survivors do and take advantage, so you don't like it even if solving it would also address what you are complaining for. Remember me how I'm the biased one here...

'You clearly didn't play the game back when it in fact was heavily survivor sided.'

And your point is? Apart from it being like me saying "Economy is f up right now for this reasons" and you responding "You should have lived the 1929 crisis, that was really bad!"... true, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong. And of course, that doesn't contradicts in any way that now survivors, same as killers, have perks and utilities they didn't have before and play the game differently so they need to change game mechanics to adapt to this new ways. But hey, you do you.

'You just conveniently want to forget that killer and survivor ARE NOT THE SAME.'

And you just want to conveniently forget how the biggest advantage of being 4 survivors is coordination and communication because that is what I f-ing said and explained. Being 4 is not the great advantage, what survivors can do by being 4 is. And if being able to "fly, dash, teleport or do any of the things killer has" was such a big advantage in comparation to be a team of 4 able to coordinate as you believe then killers should be winning all the games. So all what you say here is just another example of your "killer is able to do a basic attack, is so op" mentality.

    'That's how asymmetrical games work.'

Noooo, really? I didn't notice! God, you are such a GENIUS!... but if this is "how it should be" then why are you non-stop complaining about how much OP killers are? Just curious.

'About your balance. It all boils down to which team wins more.' 'Taking into account best killers only, it's 61% of the time. Meaning killer actually IS OP.'

Oh my f-ing god... no IT NOT F-ING BOIL DOWN TO THAT. That's the stupidest thing you said in all the time we had being talking, first because it has nothing to do with the point of the argument (some game mechanics are being abused which lead to unfair and disliked situations for everybody and should be changed) and second because is an stupidity to say by itself. Are you serious right now? Have you any notion of how game balancing work? ANY? Of game design you don't, obviously, but I didn't think I would have to explain something every fan of any competitive scenario you can imagine can figure out by himself. But seeing how things are, I will dumb it for you:

If I begin fighting in 1v4 fights against toddlers, I think we can all agree that I and most people will have a guaranteed 99% winrate across all fights. Using your bs logic, I'm OP and someone should break my legs to make it fair. But if I started doing 1v4 against heavyweight boxers I will be lucky if I get out of the first fight alive, more so if you finally broke my legs so toddlers have a chance against me.

And if you didn't get it by now, WINRATE BY ITSELF MEANS NOTHING and you can't balance a game guided by it. And thank god BHVR itself stated so in the post you get this data from because for a moment you made me think that's what they were doing:

"It’s worth noting that many factors are taken into account when it comes to balancing killer powers and character perks, not only data."

So before continue, let me clarify to you (as you obviously can't read or interpret data that goes against your "killer op" bias correctly) that those graphs show kill rates, no win rates, which means that on average all killers hook an average of 61% of the survivors in their games. But let imagine and impossible world where you would be right and that 61% meant won games... WON AGAINST WHO? What survivors? What perks did they had? How many of them in SWF squad? Where they using voicetalk? What prestige they were? What survivor rank they had? What survivor level? What item and addons were they using? What skill level? Did they used the perks they had correctly?...

That's how you balance a game and determine if something "is op", not by "bOiLiNg It DoWn To WiNrAtEs" and that 61% killrate could perfectly be in its majority the survivors that aren't "skillful tryhard perk build pro". But the most funny part of all this is that yet again, even if you were right would doesn't mean I'm wrong in anything I said about all the advantages survivors have and all the mechanics they abuse! Much less in the true point I made here and in my feedback post, which is that they need to change/rework the game mechanics that not only survivors are abusing right now, but are the true diseases that cause the symptoms everybody is complaining about: If the kill/win rate of killers were 30%, shouldn't BHVR have added the unhook guard mechanic to avoid tunneling? Then what the hell made you think that the killrate average of killers is "high" is a good point to make?

'[...] You just don't know how much you don't know about the game.'

Yet here you are, trying to teach lessons without a single clue about game balancing, game designing, and with a clear "killer op, nerf m1" survivor main bias to someone that taking in count what you said in another comment do the same hours you do in a month as a killer IN A WEEK by saying things that makes no sense and have nothing to do with what is really being discussed because you perceive it as a nerf to survivors, and god save us to ever nerf the totally defenseless survivors that doesn't have any tools to win and need to resort in abusing game mechanics to win. No, it's better to cry about how "85% of killers use Eruption" like I saw in another post instead of thinking "Why is every killer using Eruption right now? Maybe because is one of the few options a killer have to truly stop gen progression right now?".

So, for the last friking time: I'm not saying survivors are op, I'm not saying they should be nerfed, I'm not crying because I can't win games, I don't want to win 1000% of the games I play. I'm just saying that how the game is designed right now there are game mechanics being abused by survivors that gives them an unfair advantage and are provoking a lot of other things that make playing the game awful for everybody and should be changed. I know your bias make you impossible to understand this simple premise but trust me, is all what I'm saying.

who is entitled? even otz agrees on the 1 survivor mistake throws the whole match... He is a killer main id say that im a survivor main and seems like the other guy in here also agrees so... I mean if you miss a swing at worst its a much longer chase but as he said if you mess up in the endgame it can easily snowball into a 4k...

(and no just because otz agrees doesnt mean its true) My point was that he plays more killer and tends to be more on the killer side and im more on the survivor side and basically everyone i play with also agrees. But i mean thats my opinion u can have your.

I agree, chasing a survivor for 2 minutes isn't gen rushing... now, explain to me how that is relevant or contradicts what I'm saying.

Again, gen rushing isn't a thing (didn't we agree on that? Now you say it is a thing, but not a problem?), what is a thing and it is the core to much of the things survivors and killers complain alike is what the game allow survivors do and abuse which leads to the previously mentioned situations (one of the big ones, if not the biggest there is right now, again, is what I already said many times including my first comment and a post I made earlier) , which forces killers to tunnel to get a survivor out of the picture as soon as posible, force them to slug them if they can't reach a hook because it is better to have them bleeding on the ground and lose points if they don't get back up that making you lose more time, and unless you can do any of this things forces you to keep an eye on the generators and hope you get an easy kill instead of going after the survivors because every second a generator get progress is a second you are more close to lose, which again, leads to lose / lose situations for the killer the majority of the time, including what people call "gen rushing".

And all you said about "what makes a good killer" is true and that's how it has to be in theory (again, Iridescent Rank 1 killer here! I didn't get it by not getting people in loops!)... that doesn't mean the game isn't unbalanced by design, and the way the game works right now all the pressure and all the odds are against the killer. And all of this without taking in count perks, tools and map generation, which only makes things worst and/or directly allows survivors to nullify killers good doing.

And answering your question, you won most of your games the same I won most of mine: Not all players are good, not all players have the right build, not all the players are coordinated full SWF with voice talk, and all players sooner or later will make a mistake no matter how skillful they are. This doesn't means that there isn't core game mechanics that maybe worked fine in the past, but right now only let survivors abuse them and get an unfair advantage. And just for the sake of being on-topic, @BlueHorkew suggestion would only exacerbate the problems he wants to fix with it.

No i mean that gen rushing was a thing when brand new part insta did gens. But i could say that its a thing if survivors bring 2 prove, hyperfocus and 4bnps sure...

iri 1 killer isnt a thing anymore... Either way as killer its really important to not give a single F about the first 2 gens maybe even 3 gens... Those gens are gonna get done. It doesnt matter how good or bad you are the only thing that can change that is if the survivors are bad. Yes i dont think this is a good solution because strong killer = guaranteed win... I mean i run bubba with meme perks no addons... Now i used to play a lot of nurse and twins and i mean sure i could go in with double recharge nurse, starstruck, pain res, etc. and win 99.9% of my matches.

So here is where i think we have split opinions...

"right now all the pressure and all the odds are against the killer" - it has always been like that... However a survivor mistake can throw the whole match a killer mistake isnt as punishing and most of the time you can recover. Not only that you can also tunnel people out, slug or camp which isnt a "bad" strategy and i dont really see anything wrong with it. I mean its kinda boring to get camped but whatever. There are also perks to prevent this. Eruption, pain res, surge/jolt, deadlock, chilling trem, corrupt intervention, dead mans switch. If you need more time at the end run no way out etc. So im summary there are tons of things you can do and if you do play all your chases correctly you will win without any problem i mean some people get 300 winstreaks (this also depends on which killer you play but they cant balance each killer to be at the same strength)

    Is gen rushing a thing?

As i understood it you think that gen rushing is a thing or well you thought but now you said we agreed it wasnt. I dont think gen rushing is a thing. I could settle with 4 bnps and like provethyself being gen rushing if i had too. I mean sure we can talk about it then. Back in the days gen rushing was a thing i mean before patch 1.5.3 (july 2017 or something like that) bnp insta did generators :p

what the game allow survivors do and abuse?

Abuse what... Killers are the ones who can abuse since most game breaking bugs happens for the killers. Tunneling, doing gens fast isnt abusing.

+ The thing you said with perks that can nullify killers good doings... Which perks? dead hard can be baited, off the record can be dealt with especially if youre close to the hook then its a easy tunnel... DS can be avoided and it sucks now so you catch up really quick, ooo is nerfed, prove thyself makes gens faster sure but if survivors sit with prove thyself they wont split up the pressure. COH can be a little problematic when combined with medkits sure... Reassurance countered by not camping, SB run mindbreaker/fearmonger or just bait it out and chase someone else or ignore them completely... "gen rushing" well run deadlock, pain res or perhaps no way out to buy yourself some extra time at the end...

Doing gens isn't gen rushing, getting two or more people to one gen and putting the killer in a lose / lose situation over and over until a gen is done is "gen rushing", as you would be able to complete / advance 2 or 3 generators at the same time while the killer only option is "lose time in a chase the guy with 150% speed and second chances perks or lose time camping a gen and try to catch the guy who only need less of a second to undo the kicking". And while this is less of a problem with a less coordinates group, mix this with 3-4 SWF squad with voicetalk and as a Rank 1 Iridescent killer I can guarantee you that you would be lucky to be able to facecamp one as a consolation price before they just go through the exit gates.

Again, what people perceive as "gen rushing" is just a symptom of how the game mechanics allow survivors to put killers in a situation where all the options are bad for him. And when this happens is when killers usually resort to things like facecamping and tunneling and survivors get mad at him. It's not easy to play killer, is frustrating, and you either play against a SoloQ "hero squad" where 3 people get around a hook and you kill them in one go, or the moment you play agains a 3-4 coordinated SWF you can say thanks if you can kill someone.

So, again, I don't think @BlueHorkew suggestion would really solve the problems, but BHVR need to look deeply in the "gen rush" problem without doubt.

gen rushing isnt a problem. How come i win almost all matches with meme perks? even when survivors run BNP? its all about the perks you choose, killer map (plays some part sure) but most importantly HOW YOU CHASE... You need to choose your chases wisely if a survior is really good DONT CHASE THEM. If you dont get a hit or pallet within 15 - 20 sec you've mad a mistake... (unless its like shack). Record your gameplay take time to analyze it what did you do wrong? what did the survivors do right? etc... You know when i started playing brand new parts INSTANTLY finished a generator so you could have 4 generators done before you even start your first chase THATS GEN RUSHING SURE!!! but you chasing a survivor for 2 minutes isnt gen rushing

Normal situations yes. But some killer, some perks and maps make it very easy. Hell, there videos now of a killer holding a 3 gen for 60 minutes. So it is possible

yea 3 gen = win (most of the time) i remember last year when i had an insane 3 gen on rotten field with clown it took like 15 sec to run between all 3 gens that match lasted 30 minutes because the survivors were hiding :p

Gen rushing is a thing, but despite what people think it is just a symptom, not the disease. The real problem is there isn't anything you can really do to stop someone to just keep fixing and fixing the same gen without losing a lot of time: Kick it, survivor get away. Chase him, the moment you aren't looking other survivor will come and at minimum stop the regression. Camp it, and then you are letting the others to just do whatever they want while you are trying to hunt one guy. Are you a survivor alone in one gen? Loop the killer and just tap the broken gen before you keep running, forcing the killer to stop to kick it again or keep losing time with you.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/357381/gen-speed-sugestion

So even if I don't think it is a bad idea (any survivor nerf is welcome) this won't really stop "gen rushing", it would more than probably just make it more painfully slow and not punish survivors for letting the killer have the most close up, easy to patrol gens.

However if you feel like youre being "gen rushed" there is somethings you can do

Gen rushing well isnt a thing. I mean sure if survivors bring bnp and Commodious maybe. But doing gens isnt gen rushing its doing the objective... There are also perks to prevent that eruption, pain res, surge. You can also 3 gen or try to get a 3 gen, run no way out...

Its a skill issue not a game issue killers have already recieved buffs compared. Its not even fun to play killer anymore because its way too easy...

  • @jamally093 said:

I stopped playing for a bit couple days really. First match is a camping Bubba who are my teammates well people who give up on hook when your very valuable on not doing that at all during the match because fun fact you literally waste his time. So explain why this basically helps me get paired with people my skill or fun fact why camping and I don't mean when you entered a chase and have to stay close to the hook I mean full on not moving staring at the survivor Insidious camping better yet remove Insidious it's probably the worst killer perk in the game. It makes Territorial actually good the only reason why people use Insidious is because they want to camp. If you want to so call "remove" camping first step remove Insidious or better yet rework it to something different because it requires you to not move. Why don't we look at a few perks that active by certain things have tohappening to gain undetectable. Tinkerer, a generator has to be at a certain amount to active. Beast of prey you have to enter tier one blood lust for it to activate. Dark devotion you have to hit your obsession to be undetectable. All of these perks have one thing is common you actually have to move and do something to help slow down the match or catch people off guard. Simple just remove Insidious it is the TINH of the killer perks.

This is dbd at the moment dont expect much more the game isnt what it was you know back in 2017 18 19 20 where you could play for hours and have fun as killer AND survivor... Killer is way too easy so it isnt fun to play at all. Survivor is way to hard thanks to mmr (soloQ) and its way to easy if you play with friends... There isnt really any enjoyable moments anymore they made flashlight saves easier even tho it was super easy before which just takes away a little when you do get flashlight saves. Killers camp in 40% of the matches, you never play against some killers and yet they keep getting nerfed (pig, twins etc.), survivors DC all the time bad killer = dc, bad map = dc, bad loop = dc. I had 3 games yesterday out of 10 with dcs one was with a double DC insta (blight), 1 was against a nurse, and one was random... Days before that i've had DCs all my games :p

The camping thing is well brain issue on the teammates part... Simple math 120 sec = kill & gen = 90 sec

3 gens will be done and the killer still has 30 sec to camp for which means that one gen will be 33% and another gen around 50% this is assuming that the killer catches the guy instantly and that you teleport to the gens instantly in a better scenario you can easily do 5 gens before the first guy is even dead.

  • @BlueHorkew said:

So what if gen speeds started slower at the beginning and became faster the longer a match goes on.

Basically trying to nerf early gen rush and holding the game hostage/ 3 gens

Would that concept be good for the game or bad?

gen rushing isnt a thing... Then we would just hide at the start... 3 gen can be prevented by survivors in 99.9% of the cases so everything here is skill issue

  • @Seraphor said:

You want DBD to feel like a scary movie?

You think killers have been buffed?

Sounds like you've just become too good a survivor.

Power creep has made survivor easier and less scary than ever. You can be stood 5m away from the killer and be completely invulnerable due to a range of second chances and strong pallets, and then just heal right back up again. That's why it's not scary.

killers has been hugely buffed... "be completely invulnerable due to a range of second chances and strong pallets, and then just heal right back up again" back in the days when i played killer survivors could heal after 2 pallets that is not the case... If thats a problem for you bring sloppy... killer is just to easy i play bubba with troll perks not even chasing correctly just messing around and i still win without any problem. Survivor is trash soloQ i lose 70% of my matches with friends i win 100% i havent lost a single 4swf match in a whole week the closest we were to losing was a 2 man escape which is a tie?

The game is more balanced sure. Yet they make updates no one wants. Why did they remove so you cant see your ping in the lobby? why lower the DC penalty? the 6.4.0 patch just made camping and tunneling even worse one time i had campers literally 60% of my matches. The devs doesnt even play their own game i mean have you seen them play?

Killers once said that it wasnt fun to play killer Mathieu responded with play something else haha. They dont listen to anybody they have started doing it now which is good but still. The knight DLC has broken the whole game dh doesnt work, you get weird animation bugs, the wiggle skillchecks are broken, the twins bug inst fixed etc.

(while this might sound all negative i still find the game enjoyable :p )

10% for eruption without incapacitated would make the perk near useless. (Against swf especially who are not phased by it)

Assuming that 10% takes from total repair and not from current progress done, it would mean it causes 9s of repair undone.

The full power of the perk on a single gen that had a survivor on it is 9s of progress loss plus 6.25s of additional loss from regressing for 25s. That is 15.25s of progress removed with a guarantee that repair wont restart for 25s.

If nobody was on the gen then the progress loss is only 9s and regression wont start.

Wanting the second option only would make the perk no longer useful in builds. It's purpose is to disrupt current repair and prevent it for a while.

If you balance a perk for soloq would make it non viable against swf.

Some middle ground would work like 10% progress loss as it is present in both scenarios , since it regresses in the first one and not in the second one take half of that which would be 3% of regression , and half the block from 25s to 12.5s.

    New eruption would be :

All kicked gens lose 13% percent of progress and are blocked for 12.5s regardless if anyone was working on them.

Its not the instant regress thats the problem its the incapacitated and the fact that it can pop on 1 gen 4 5 times within a minute if your teammates are bad enough

I would consider myself high mmr survivor based on the type of killers I face and sweaty teamates I get (sometimes of course this won't be the case and I will get your average self care Claudette and Bill who will run from the opposite side of the map to farm me) and the amount of times this perk straight up changed the outcome of the match is actually unbelievable and those were matches where everyone was doing good so the killer was not some noob and my teamates had a brain

it's basically at the most tense point of the match 1/2 gens left some people are on death hook, we have someone running the killer with limited pallets left and the rest of us are being smart by staying injured and just pushing those last 1/2 gens that are at 80-90% and then bam - the killer gets the down and 25 seconds no one can do #########

as everyone here with experience in this game knows, every second in the match is crucial, especially near the end where everyone must play perfectly if it's a close call.

This perk needs to change, it's way too powerful, it should be either just 10% off the gen or just the status effect, but both is borderline oppressive

Yea i had one game with the last gen being 99 4x and eruption popped last second EVERY SINGLE TIME almost lost the match

Jokes aside, we all know BHVR and their spaghetti code, maybe they broke something internally yet again by adding another Feng Min cosmetic.

Yea well thats what i think happened since iäve never gotten one after the hit validation and all of a sudden im getting exhausted on the ground several times a week :D

  • @AhoyWolf said:

I haven't got Exhausted on the ground ever since the rework happened.

Even tho the inputs feel a bit stiff at times due to the Perk now wanting you to actually run instead of just holding the run button it's quite amazing and can still save your life (buy your team some time) against the best Killers in the game.

Making Dead Hard work like it did before isn't the way to go, ever.

I dont want it buffed it was a joke... However before the knight released on live i have NEVER gotten exhausted on the ground since the hit validation now its EVERYTIME even with like 20 30 40 ms

i dont want it buffed it was a joke i wrote (fix) after... My point is we had hit validation now its 0.5sec? endurance it worked fine pre knight but after the knight dlc it doesnt work anymore so i dont know what they did to it they also removed so you cant see your ping in the lobby etc.

22,5 with UB and 7 seconds under any pallet with two other perks.

yea but ub rn is 20 sec so whatever. You can always run knock out or just not slug 4 players... I mean sure as a twins player i dont like this at all. I mean i do think it will favour killers during the end if there are like 2 players left or possibly 3. But against good survivors i think this will buff the crap out of them... (on the good side they will bleed out eventually and well they cant do gens)

  • tbh i dont think so dbd isnt as fun as it was back in 2017 18 19 20 even 21... they removed stretched, updated movement reworked perks, rebalanced the whole game... Yes killer is more balanced now which is good. But the game feels janky people camp 90% of the matches the mmr sucks, the devs to a little what they want and remove stuff that doesnt have to be removed (like winter cosmetics, jeryl :D, being able to see your ping in lobby etc.) I mean there is no reason at all to remove the seeing ping in the lobby it does NOTHING good for anyone. Yet even with all the balance changes the game is still survivor sided. (i mean the only reason i lose matches as survivor is because i play soloQ and play with legacy 3 claudettes running selfcare, bond, urban & iron will. I played like 10 matches soloQ yesterday had 2 escapes. But when i played with my friends (4 man) we got a 4 man escape EVERY SINGLE GAME besides 1 which were a 3 man... (and we played like 15 16 games)

  • @Phasmamain said:

I don’t talk about it because I’ve never had much issue tbh

We should be able to see killer ping in the lobby though. No excuse not to have that

yes we cant even see our own anymore i had a game yesterday where all survivors had 200ms and the killer its unplayable and not fun for anyone

  • @RuthlessDecay said:

Can you imagine the amount of attempted bullying….

    *Killer downs a survivor*

*Survivors with flashlights or flash bangs swarm in*

Then the killer is left with the predicament of attempting to pick up the downed survivor and risk getting flashlight stunned.

Or try scaring off the survivors with a successful m1 attack, and risk the downed survivor getting up with base UB.

    Just no.

its 45 seconds thats half a gen its a really long time i honestly thing this will favour killers more because now you can win really fast if you play something strong like iri head huntress ^^ and just proxy camp your slugs and hooks

So take note of his ping and play in the future, like you would with latency in any other game. It absolutely sucks, but as long as the ping is consistent you can adapt and do things like predrop appropriately, just always assume they're closer than they appear, and play more predicatively than reactive. Not the perfect response or reaction, but its the best one we can do individually.

Again, I agree with you, but they're unlikely to change their mind due to that reason, so the best I can offer is a way to minimize its impact.

yea i mean when i have bad ping i do predrop more often since stuns are incosistent but ive like never had a match with 200ms and the killer having 200ms sometimes on very very rare occasions i do get like 70 80 90 ping which i think is really high :D My point is a few months ago you could see your ping and you have been able to for years why did they remove it (in the lobby) like i dont really see any reason

  • @Ryuhi said:

I agree that all players should have their ping to the server visible, it would be far more useful information than things like prestige level.

That said, im sure they dont want to do it due to the fact it will rightfully lead to lobby shopping.

yea well atleast your own ping i mean that or remove dc penalty because there is no way in hell they can expect you to play with 200ms i men the bubba got a chainsaw hit on me like 6 meters away... Its unplayable for both sides and it happens like once every 100 game so

If you're just playing with friends for fun, why do you care if a change makes groups less powerful?

Because if they nerf survivors and balances the game based on SWF soloQ will lose 100% of all matches and I mean 100% soloQ is already bad as it is now... I have 5k hours and I get queued up with 21 hours or sometimes legacy 3s with 12k there is nothing balanced... Killers have already received enormous buffs I mean I get 4ks almost all matches with bubba irongrasp agitation madgrit. I run troll builds and I don't even try to play good yet I dominate my matches ^^ That's why

Yeah what is with all the killer powers not even working? I played Oni yesterday for a daily and couldn't even get Blood Fury to start even though I was mashing the L1 button like mad

i dont know what they have done i did 5 bubba matches (serious ones) 2 out of those i had my power randomly bugged so i just quit for the day... They have had bugs in the game for SOOOO LONNGGGG i mean nurse blink bug was around for YEARS!!!!!! (not 100% sure if its fixed i havent had it in a very long time) the knight speed bug was known during the ptb and before they even release the chapter to live servers they are super lazy when it comes to bug fixes

  • @Janeliet_Romeo said:

Why would it not be addressed? We’ve been getting so many balance changes lately to both survivors and killers, but the most unbalanced thing in the game has not been addressed. I don’t see why that should stay that way. As a killer, playing against 4 solo survivors is completely different than playing against a 4man swf

Ok so we're not allowed to have fun with friends... Fun world we all should be alone without friends i get it... Killer is dead soloQ is broken you get teammates with 20 hours or gods... Its unreliable as hell unless you play with friends

in no particular order, legion, blight, dredge, doctor, bubba, ghostface, and im currently learning deathslinger, spirit, and plague. Probably capping out with that group cuz thats a ton of killers.

Every single match today has had 2-3 survivors with prestige 75-100.

Every game has gens popping within 40 seconds of loading in the game on average i don't even understand that math.

Even the games where i just go afk because its obviously players too far above my skill level they still want to click and teabag and taunt.

why is the match making so ######### lately and why are all the survivors literally the worst humans ive ever met

Meh you can always bubba camp like me... Guaranteed 4k no sweating no efforts full toxicity after the games etc. I mean trying as killer is dead. It isnt fun even if you win. And the MMR is ######### youre either playing against 2 hour survivors or p100s... I've had bnp almost all my games where i do try to play serious my power bugs out i get stuck with twins and have to DC, my chainsaw on bubba gets struck in an infinite tantrum so i can only move around and m1 normally etc.

An unplayable game needs to be fixed.

I was playing a Garden of Joy match with the Trapper (actually the worst killer in dbd). I went against a 4 man swf with every perk and 4 ressurance and i couldn't do anything. Then look at the toxicity in the endgame chat. No words. Not anymore.

Yea its very boring when they removed stretched res the game became unplayable i only play killer for fun nurse looks like ######### without stretched... Toxicity wasnt as blatant back then either. I cant remember getting trash talked or trashtalking people back in 17 18. It was also much more simple wehad 7 blink nurse, infinites :( Now people play like its a mf comp game and they win $2000000 killers doesnt give hatch, killers camp and tunnel survivors are toxic after the games even if you're kind and give them hatch

You can find the survs, but let's be honest, if al you are doing is avoiding detection, that may be the easiest thing to do in the game. The game was not designed as a hide and seek simulator, it assumes players are going to try to progress the game (even if it means getting killed, ultimately). As a killer, finding two survs who are only trying to hide is a painful and near futile endeavor. On some maps it's near impossible, unless the survs really screw up.

Should it be bannable? Not permanently, but maybe. It certainly not on the same level as physically blocking someone into a corner.

The better solution is to cap game length at 30 minutes, maybe force EGC at 28 minutes regardless. Realistically, there's no good reason any game should progress beyond 30 minutes anyway. That would also head off any new hostage taking efforts by hackers.

Yea listen im not pro hiding :D but as you said i dont really think it should be bannable becuase in theory its possible to find them. EGC at 30 min is whatever sometimes games last 40 minutes+ (WITH ACTIVE GAMEPLAY from both survivors and killers) But yea its probably one of the better solutions

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3279912#Comment_3279912

It is from last I have heard. Let's say there's two survivors left with 3 gens left but not a 3 Gen lock.....the Killer does thier rounds patroling and none of the gens are being worked on because the Survivors are locker hoping or plain hiding to avoid afk crows. That is taking the game hostage because the Survivors are actively not progressing the game and the game can't end because the Killer can't find the Survivors.

Now I'm not sure on the amount of time that needs to pass to constitute as holding hostage but that is considered as such

ooh really? but i mean its not really holding the game hostage thats the thing you can find the survivors... But is it really enough to be bannable i mean shouldnt people be able to play how they want?

I get body blocking as a killer because there is nothing you can do as a survivor but a killer can def find the survivors

  • @Mandy said:

Hello, I am sorry that you've had this reply.

Can you give me more information on your support ticket please - ticket number, name of person who resolved this, thank you?

Hey mandy i hope you reply to this because i've been trying to figure this out for years :D

Is hiding AND NOT DOING GENS just hiding bannable?

As i see it that wouldn't be considered holding the game hostage because the killer can find you, right?

And please dont send me a screenshot from the rules becuase i've read them and i've seen tons of other people ask this but never really gotten an answer. So i would prefer a YES or a NO, Thanks!

  • @Grigerbest said:

    DH work only 0.5 sec.

If you're already in "deep wound" - DH will not work.

Some killers have a high ping.

    Other than that it's working.

    Thats all I could say...

Yea but my point is did they remove hit validation? because i havent gotten a single one since the hit validation and now i've had 4 within 2 days

LMAO killer hard buffed? are you playing another game perhaps? please, they received a couple of minor buffs, but the maps, items, addons and perks as basekit for survivor says all...

So you don't think the dh nerf was a huge buff? Less cooldown on a, hit less sprint duration longer gens? Do you think that's a survivor buff? I mean they've removed infinites, omega nurse and that yes but it was still a huge buff for killers compared to before... hahaha if you would have played in 2016 2017 you would have died... Survivors could heal themselves with selfcare after 2 pallets because "we will make it" worked on yourself, there were no window blocks, you could infinite loop with balanced landing, shack used to have 2 windows and it was IMPOSSIBLE to catch someone looping shack back then (obv tons of people didnt know how to use it properly but yea)...

  • @GlitchyGamer said:

It's that simple. This game is exhausting to play anymore. Almost every single match is unbalanced and toxic. Killers are buffed into infinity and survivors nerfed into the ground. The match making allows toxic swfs to bully the killer and killers to bully solo que/duoing survivors. The gameplay is repetitive. You have to hide your prestige/avoid your mains due to lobby shopping and tunneling. Nothing has been done to stop the camping or hitting on hook and tunneling is still easily done. The toxicity is rampant on both sides. Behavior wanted to shake things up and "Change the meta". They sure did. Welcome to the most miserable era of dbd. Don't be surprised when you realize your player base has evaporated. You can't expect people to want to play on what is clearly the losing side and not get tired of it.

i agree killers are op?!? well not really however i've seen a huge huge increase in DCs and suicides on first hook there is never a balanced match either i soloQ and lose due to teammates dying within 10 sec of a chase or i play with some friends and get a 4 man escape with like 1 or 2 hooks its NEVER AND I MEAN NNEEEVVVVVVEEEERRRRRR even matches

  • @Mechanix82 said:

So played a few games this morning. Played against a Freddy in Haddonfield, we all died with one gen left. For context none of us played well. I for sure played like crap i greeded the pallet in the center as it was early and took a down as two gens popped i believe i should of just extended the chase. After the game a 71 prestege feng says "they need to nerf freddy teleport tbh". WHAT?!?!?! Freddy OP NOW?!?

freddys model needs to be moved forward by a meter or 10 because his hits are goofy af always 10000 miles away

  • @dgbug said:

    legion is cool

hahhaa cool? aah yes nothing better than having 5 legions a day and 5 easy wins against a killer that makes you mend 80000000000000000000 times he sucks and he is so boring to play against

  • @EntitySpawn said:

    Suicide, DC, suicide, suicide.

That's been every game today :)

BHVR, fix this rubbish seriously. Start insta banning people if you must I just want to play a damn game... or give me a full refund on the couple hundred £ I have spent on this game just to not be able to actually play a SINGLE NORMAL GAME

i also have a ######### ton of DCs and suicides havent had any today but a few days ago i had it in well over half my matches :)

  • @espooked said:

I am on forums right now waiting out my penalty cus I disconnected from a match lol. one of my teammates (once again) dropped at 5 gens because they went down fast by the killer. I rather take a penalty, since I am forced to either play a 3v1, or go to the killer and give up, which is exhausting constantly doing this. The only thing that bothers me is that MY mmr drops cause we are forced to play a match that has a very small possibility of winning. its not fair that we're getting punished for our teammates. And sometimes the killer decides to show pity, and they will farm with us if they feel bad, which I dont like either. I wanna ggs go next, so disconnecting is the fastest. Btw, if I am the killer and the player decides to give up on hook because theyre salty, I let them bleed out <3. waste someone elses time, not ours. don't queue up if you gonna be a child. Usually their teammates agree with me and tbag their bodies on the ground

Yea but its one thing to DC becuase you have bad teammates i mean i remember DCing one match where 2 of my teammates died to a spirit within a span of like 30 sec... But when i have DCs its when they take the first chase and goes down quick. I dont know why but i would imagine its because they expect to chase for several gens gets mind gamed or something and dies within like 30 40 sec so they just decide that the match isnt worth playing...

And yes we can probably blame the MMR because no matches are equal or well balanced. Its never any good killers like skilled ones and rarely any good survivors but sometimes you get like 12000 hour gods its no consistency at all (now this example is a little overexaggerate but its not even remotely close to the balanced i had with the pip system)

  • @Turtlesrock said:

I don't have it as much. HOWEVER. my friend just bought dbd and started as killer. about 90% of the games i see are people quitting or killing themselves on the hook. Obv her mmr is low because shes brand new so shes being matched with lower skilled players. BUT it's not the new people shes facing. shes facing people that are new sure, BUT she's seeing people over lvl 20 prestige etc. So it isn't just new players. It's so frequent

yea i can imagine lower ranks especially killers DCing. I usually play with prestige 20 - 40s (doesnt necessairly reflect their mmr) and they are the ones that DC not the lower ones.

  • @Thusly_Boned said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3250481#Comment_3250481

Eh, I play mostly survivor and I see surv DCs in at least a third of my games, often on first hook/down, regardless of who or how the killer is playing. And I see survs disconnect at like a 20:1 (and I'm being conservative there) rate compared to killers, which is kind of to expected, given it's a 4v1 game.

So I would strongly disagree that's it's a "being driven to DC/suicide on hook by toxic/unfun play", and much, much more a temper tantrum rage quit issue the vast majority of the time.

yea its when they go down absurdly quick. Like they do a bad chase and dies faster than they expected themselves to go down and just decides to dip... Its not like they leave mid match or at the end its literally when they are the first down. Now i havent played killer in a long time but it also happens that killers DC but they are much more tolerant

Ego is the biggest problem in DbD, but it applies to most other games. In high mmr games, the ego is really spread and dominant

yea i think ego is the main problem... People join expect to play flawlessly gets a BS down and a ######### first chase and just decides to dip out

Yeah and watch DbD gain that much and more back as soon as the Halloween event starts.

yea but the halloween event is temporary players. That always happens...

While i dont think the game is gonna die anytime soon its def going down hill really quickly after the old DS dh nerf and all that. I mean it was a good change if you ask me but it cant be healthy to go from 5x as many surviors as killers to like 2 - 3x more killers than survivors and considering that survivors DC after the first down in half of my games i can imagine that most of them arent happy about the changes even after a few months ;)

  • @HaunterofShadows said:

    Hahahahahahaha no.

well i mean OP has a point its griefing. When i do fun ######### like this i always make sure we're a 4man swf beacuse well its griefing... But reportable yes bannable no. I mean you can report someone for anything ;)

  • @PB_TORCHer said:

We’re gonna get downed. I’ll never understand the suicidal players or DC on the first down. Iv’e played about 10 games today and these players are in half. NO exaggeration.

‘XD we get 3 hooks so I don’t see the point

I play survivor and i get teammates that DC alot it ruins the game for both sides it is what it is

and as you said its literally in half of the matches either a insta DC or a insta suicide on hook...

Strongest killer in the game? Idk I think nurse and blight are stronger than her. But it's just your opinion. I guess I never realised that it's kinda weird how you don't get a speed boost from plague. Bug maybe?

def not the strongest but could easily make top 5

  • @Veinslay said:

Because survivors love FOV teching and 360ing which completely screw over console killers while doing nothing to PC players. When the devs got rid of 360s with the animation changes, survivors threw a hissy fit that they quickly changed it back. Devs won't repeat the same mistake and add an FOV slider for killer!

360 isnt really removed you can still moon walk and do an almost as good as the old spin

Pretty much this. I posted about face camping a while ago and got told LOL REASSURANCE IS COMING. Yeah. Really sorted it didnt it. I said at the time it would solve nothing. 30 seconds extra is nothing to someone who wants to camp.

Camping im against. There is not a single perk you can bring that counters camping... I mean sure reassurance kinship kinda helps but as you said it wont do #########. off the record literally solves tunneling if you get tunneled and go down again after 80 sec thats 3 gens (well almost 3 gens) so the game should be done at that point GG you carried the game!

So to prevent it, we have to run meta perks.

Wasnt the whole point of the last big update to stop meta perks being meta?

Well you can also have good teammates that takes hit and you dont have to run meta perks... However if you wanna be 100% safe just run BT, DS or off the record problem solved... (or simply dont suck ass so the killer cant tunnel you out fast enough for it to be profitable)

I play DBD every day and in every Match the Killer is tunnelling.

    Why is nothing done there?

It takes the fun out of the Game. You can no longer escape because the killer is playing unfairly.

only recently are the killers all so that they play like that.

I've been playing dbd since release and love the game but now I'm on the verge of saying no I'm leaving the game.

The Match start Killer have fast one down and camp/tunnel this person. And the round is as good as lost.

every and every and every round.

how do you see it and what is your opinion on it?

tunneling is boring yea but you can atleast run perks to kinda prevent it... Camping on the other hand is pretty bruh. There isn't really anything you can do i mean yes Camaraderie works but thats about it
