You use the default "power" button that all Killers use to use his Dream Snares or (With an add-on) his Dream Pallets.
For PC, you hold down M2 and than place the Dream Snare where you want it to be and just let go... it's the same button to place Hags Traps or Trappers Bear-Traps!

I'm mostly just being cheeky, but I suspect that the new upvote color is broadly more visible than any red shade, for colorblind viewers.
Possible, but I think it's because Orange is naturally more visible than Red anyways... especially since it was dark red.
You can now plainly see what number it is thanks to how bright the color is now.
-
As Boosted_Dwight has said, the release date for the rest of us isn't confirmed yet...
We'll have to wait and see until it's officially announced for the other regions!
-
That isn't confirmed yet, so we won't know until the next patch notes.
Since the next patch isn't out yet, I can say for sure it's not fixed yet...
-
We can't really know for sure who will be next... I for one would love an original Killer to be added next!
But we'll just have to wait and see.
-
It was changed to help make it more visible for forum users.
@Rydog said:
Forum design has higher standards for colorblind-players than the game does, confirmed. ?
And I don't think it has anything to do with color-blind forum members... It's most likely for what Mandy said above.
-
The only case where body blocking is bannable is when you're bodyblocking a player into the corner as a Survivor or ESPECIALLY as the Killer...
Either one will not let you escape the corner and the only choice you have is to DC or wait until the Killer hits that Survivor so you can move... if the Killer doesn't do it than that's bannable... and if the Killer body blocks you in a corner than it's considered "Taking the game hostage."
It's not bannable to block the Killer from going to the hook or hitting someone... the same goes for blocking someone from unhooking (Unless it's in a room that cannot be entered except for that one doorway... than that's considered trolling.)
-
No, like Edys said it only heals one health state and it does so passively...
Once 16 seconds are up than you'll be healed for one health state... the same goes for a downed Survivor as well. It was changed to counter-act the issue where Survivors would heal downed Survivors after a long chase and end any progress the Killer did in that chase right in-front of them...
It's better to just wait until a Survivor is picked up and THAN heal them with it... or for a chase you do it at a really good loop... not a small one.
-
This is a known issue on PS4 at the moment...
The best advice I can give you is to click the support link that i'll be linking below for you... there you can let the support team know about your issue!
Here's the support link: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us
Good luck!

Yes, its supposed to be pretty bright BUT also fairly dark in some areas...
May I see an example to how dark it is for you? Say... in a screenshot, a video, etc.

As Boosted_Dwight said, we have some in the works already.
Would I like a statue of Myers or Wraith or someone else? Sure... that's be a cool center piece to my desk.
-
Most likely not considering Playstations background with cross-platform games...
It might happen but... its unlikely it ever will. Now, will we have cross-platform come to DBD for some consoles and PC?... maybe? But again, because of certain skins, steam codes, licensed Survivors/Killers... its unlikely...
-
No, it usually counts any EXP you get in-game towards another Rift Fragment... it seems to be bugged for you... I suggest you use this link to submit a ticket and talk to them about it.

This thread made me look at my own achievements.
I don't think I'll be getting adept achievements ever since they changed the requirements for them a while ago now, for killers that is. I got Freddy, Hag, Clown, Plague and Demogorgon left :/
I'm also surprised I don't have "Wounded Healer" unlocked, I've been playing for a long time now.
Anyway, congrats on that milestone!
Thank you! And good luck to your road to 100% as well... if you ever decide to do it.

@Ghoste said:
That's some serious dedication! Congratulations. How many hours did it take you to do this? And what will you do now, go back to playing normally?
On a side note, I'll probably never 100% DBD because many of the achievements require you to intentionally play sub-optimally, like you pointed out. Hats off to you for going through the struggle!
Well, if it took a year to complete Taking One For The Team... it took about a year to get all my achievements (Doing it off and on since I first started in October 1st... when I first started playing in-general.)
And yes, the requirements for a lot of achievements require you to play... very poorly in comparison to the meta...
Glad its over though. (For now.)

Yeah it's a tough, but if you really want you can get these achievements easily, but now I don't even have time to play a game for longer than 2 hours xd
College life..
Makes sense.

On certain Killers its pretty hard to pull off yeah... (Aka LeatherFace at Red Ranks...)
I mean, its best to do them all at Rank Reset imo... but sometimes I don't feel like waiting.

Just think of it alrithmically and make sure not to add any conditions not stated by the challenge.
I mean, a lot of the challenges are vague so of course it can be interpreted in many different ways.

@Nobsyde said:

yes it would be - just like the This is Happening challenge can be completed without ever getting injured. It's not that the description is misleading, it's that we add an extra step in our mind.
I guess the challenge doesn't specifically say to stay injured for "This Is Not Happening."
But with a lot of things in this game when it comes to achievements, challenges, dailies... its kind of hyper-specific with some of them...
So idk, it may or may not work I have no idea... i'm just going off of logic with the description but the description might not be as black and white as it appears to be.
-
@Nobsyde said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/807111#Comment_807111
I think exactly the opposite :P
The challenge states "Sacrifice 1 Survivor to The Entity during the EGC"
Sacrifice = kill on hook ≠ hook a survivor
In other words: it should work if you hook a survivor before EGC, then start EGC before he dies... at least that's what the challenge states.
Its unknown if it does or not, if it does than it's a lot easier than the description leads it to believe.

EAC is owned by Epic Games, not Valve.
However within Steam platform EAC bans show up as game bans, https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=6899-IOSK-9514&l= -- whilst VAC bans show up as VAC bans. And this game does not use VAC.
And you may appeal your EAC bans if you are feeling lucky, https://easy.ac/en-us/support/game/contact/appeal/
I did not know that my bad.
Usually EAC bans are pretty hard to appeal anyways.
But the point still stands that it's not within BHVRs jurisdiction to appeal the ban themselves (if EAC files the ban for cheating.)

developers were wrong, impossible, does not matter
I meant range addons, will they increase the movement speed during blink?
No, they don't. It just increases the range that you can go from A to B.
It doesn't increase the speed in any way.
-
@noneofyourbusiness said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/807123#Comment_807123
No, friend omegablink was both addons that give's you range, and they still exist look
Than they got it wrong because most of the community always referenced Omega Blinks as the 5 blink add-on Nurse.
Or, they got it right by they didn't mention the other Omega Blink Nurse. Either way, it doesn't really matter.
Please explain what you're even asking since you wrote your question by explaining some things and than asked the question at the end or something.
And, you still didn't explain what you meant by "Reappearance time"
-
@Nekoo said:
Wait until they nerf spirit,
rank 1 would be hell.
What you gonna do at rank 1 when every opponent holding toolbox and swf?
I'm still doing fine without her... I did fine without Nurse, I certainly won't need spirit.
I hate when people automatically assume that a certain rank like Red Ranks will be chaos because the most OP Killer is nerfed... if you know how to play Killer than you'll be fine...
Of course these killers are limited... it doesn't mean you'll still do bad EVERY time. If you want a balanced Killer that's still strong than play Billy... he's very well rounded and overall a good example for balance. Loopable, punishes, map pressure, mobility, and overall strong!
-
Your question is confusing since I have no idea what you're even asking... the current omega blink doesn't exist since omega blinks are dead now.
An omega blink was defined by the add-ons that increased how many blinks you were able to use when you were playing her... so for example... an omega blink is when a Nurse has add-ons that give her 5 blinks in total to use during a match...
What you're describing is the range increase add-ons... this isn't the omega blink... the omega blink is dead.
Also, what do you mean by "reappearance time" do you mean the charge speed increase those add-ons give?
-
Before they're hooked... it doesn't count if they die during the EGC when you hooked them and than closed the hatch...
You need to hook them after you closed the hatch, not before... It specifically says so in the challenge that it has to be during the EGC... that means if they're hooked before it'll take that as being before the EGC.
If for some reason it still counts it, than that's confusing and misleading... but that's for sure how it should work (Because it literally says so in the challenge description.)
-
For Killers
- Ruin. If left out for a long period of time it can devastate a teams progression towards generators.
- Pop Goes the Weasel. One of the more basic meta perks but it shouldn't be ignored in a match either... If you hook someone and kick their gen that was say... on 70%... if left alone that progress will greatly diminish until all that time was for nothing...
- Last, Nurse's Calling. Another basic Meta perk but let me explain. On most Killers it helps them with tracking healing and other such things... and while BBQ tracks Survivors in-general... I feel this perk is more "clutch" in that regard. On Myers and GhostFace you can easily sneak up on healing Survivors for easy downs or Exposed hits... And with Killers like Legion and Spirit it's ESPECIALLY dangerous on them since they can damage a team in seconds if they're good enough.
Now for Survivors
- Adrenaline. A perk that's used a lot in the meta for good reasons... if in a SWFs you can go and rescue a teammate and take a hit on your way their... Once you take that hit... your friend can finish a generator that's at 99 and heal you back to full with a speed boost to boot! In-general though, once 5 generators are complete you can clutch an escape or extend the loop when you're injured...
- Balanced Landing. I would put Dead Hard but that perk is unintentionally nerfed from Dedicated Servers right now... Balanced Landing overall though helps with basically all maps (except a few.) and can be especially dangerous on maps like Lampkin Lane, Hawkins, Lery's, Crotus, etc... This perk can really extend loops for awhile due to no stun from falling... and you can get easy AND fast escapes by balanced landing somewhere and hiding for a period of time...
- And last, Urban Evasion. I know, someones gonna hate me for adding this one... but let me explain. Urban Evasion on any Survivor can sneak past Killers with ease and it can especially fool them into thinking you're long gone when you're literally right next to the generator behind a rock... It's a very dangerous perk in the right hands and it can waste the Killers time trying to find you while the other Survivors are all working on generators, finding ruin, or unhooking someone...
That's my list, I guess. Hope it met your specifications!
-
I think you've gotten all the answers you need but i'll suggest something to.
Use Shred around long narrow loops so you can take a hit off them at a pallet, you can also use Shred at a lot of regular loops if you get a good line up at the loop as well... If you're attempting to shred someone in an open area, than your best option is to either get closer to do it or fake the shred out so they move around to avoid that hit that isn't even happening... than you can just hit them regularly...
The shred is also good at loops like shack pallet, if you go through the doorway leading to the inside of the shack pallet and ready it up in view of the window... you can determine if its a good time to hit them with it or not if you see they going into the vault animation.
You can tell when someones going through the vault animation when either... their item vanishes from their hand (if they had one), their character slides into position for the vault (Think of it as they're sliding towards it like they're on an ice rink...), and if the Survivor isn't looking behind them when they vault...
This can be used at any window, but the shack pallet suffers from it the most... especially if you're going around the side of the shack and you anticipate if they're going to move out of the way for the shred or not... you can than just fake it out or guess where they'll move for a risky hit... but you'll be rewarded with a lot of deviousness points.
Also, Demogorgon doesn't need add-ons to still be useful in a game, but if you want to use add-ons but not the really rare ones... than I suggest you use Rat Liver and Mew's Guts....
This will allow you to move into position for shreds easier with Rat Liver since it increases your movement speed while holding the shred... and Mew's Guts increases your portal size... so it's decent to use with Rat Liver... but that's just a side benefit... the real benefit is that if you miss a shred than you'll recover slightly faster from it!
-
It's best not to use scripts in game as you can get banned through EAC (Easy Anti Cheat) and that's out of BHVRs hands once you're banned through EAC...
EAC is a valve issued ban and BHVR has no jurisdiction over that type of game ban once you're banned through valves system... EACs are non-negotiable and you'll be in a sense... boned... if you get banned through their system.
The same goes for modifying game files to use new portraits for your Survivors and Killers, Great Skill Check scripts, etc.
Please, please, please! Don't use a struggle script unless you want to risk this.

You can report a cheater or other offense to the support team. There, you can give a detailed report on a player with proof or a description and they'll look into the account.

No, you can skip ahead to the end of the tome if you want and still go back to the previous challenges you missed in the past...
The tome never closes, so you can always return to that tome to finish those challenges... its up to the player to decide that though.
-
What Bobcat said, the times are right there for what he said and you can find the official dates within the game itself on the main menu... just click "news" than scroll down to The Archives part and you can find the next set of dates for the new tomes.
-
No, nothing has an effect against mending except the add-ons Legion uses to extend the mend timer.
Otherwise, Nurse's doesn't work on it, neither does Thanatophobia, Dying Light, etc... It's not a "healing action" despite the name suggesting it is. It's its own separate healing state that isn't changed by any perk... the only thing that changes it is Legions mend timer items.

It's easy too stay true too the event, keep the event and fix the major problems. They shouldn't copy from the Moonrise event IMO, but I would rather that then them copying the old motto for such a boring "event"
special gens and hooks don't work because now as killer you get gen rushed and games last 5 minutes without slow down perks. I would rather a moonrise clone because I could at least have fun in an event, not sweat out my rear just too get 2-3 kills and some bloodpoints.
It wasn't hard too get serum once they merged both sides, and a halloween event has no business lasting till December personally, it's why they only last 1-2 weeks.
It does make sense. If you don't want too get the serum then play the game normally. You said yourself that it's suggested too partake, it was never forced upon you.
It is easy for them too track it since they already do, they've said as such before, the problem was that without dedicated servers they couldn't tell if it was intentional or not. And as for the hooks and gens, why redesign them when they had perfectly good hooks already modeled, coded, rendered, etc in the game from last year? they only needed too make ones for gens.
Simply put, they should of just fixed the event and not done the safe and unfun "special hooks and gens" route. Plus you don't even get anything from the event offering besides bloodpoints. It's not even an event in my eyes since the serum is tied too the battle pass, not the event. As you said, I can still get the serum in December when it's time for Christmas.
Yes but that argument makes no sense, why does it matter if you're forced to do it or not. The special hooks are not forced upon you, neither is the special gens are not forced upon you... they're just there.
You could argue the pustula plants WERE forced upon you, otherwise you'd never get a vial and progress the Halloween event... the other ones are passive, its literally the opposite of what you're trying to say here.
Also, again. It's easier to say they can fix these major issues without actually handling it yourself. It's a small team, they've said that many times... this isn't a 50 man triple AAA title team working on DBD.
The part where they can track it NOW is true, but they couldn't before and that was the issue. Even if you could track DCing and suicides by hooks that doesn't REALLY fix the issue.. you'll still get people that Suicide for vials or DC when the game isn't going their way during the event... it fixes nothing but gets them banned for the next cycle of people to continue doing so.
The event was heavily flawed and the past proves it... copying from the moonrise event will not do anything but re-use old assets for an event. Yes, you can argue they're doing that exact thing with the events special hooks... but if you dig deeper they did a lot more than you think. We have lore bits now, challenges from the archives, serums are rewarded in The Rift, etc.
Unless you make a post suggesting a thought out process of what they could've done, I can't be on your side with this opinion my man. I mean that's ok though, conflicting opinions is fine. Cause, just saying they could've copied from one event and fixed issues with DCing and Suicides but people will still do them isn't really gonna fix the issue...
Plus, they merged the vials near the end of the event because the Killer queue times were insanely long to get vials... guess what happened after... people died on hooks to get vials again... or the Killers just farmed (Which BHVR isn't with farming in-general.)

Basically the same Except....
Pumpkinhead is a literal Demon.
Pumpkinhead is summoned to exact vengeance.
Pumpkinhead can't teleport.
Pumpkinhead is about 12' tall and can simply sense where his targets are.
Pumpkinhead is sentient and typically kills his victims slowly by mentally torturing with them then drawing out their deaths.
I tried to make him here:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/48592/killer-creation-licensed-the-avenger#latest
I mean it could still work, idk if they'd do it though cause they're not exactly similar but the concept is the same.
Its a beast Killer except ones a literal animal and the other is a demon that tortures its victims that it was summoned to exact vengeance on. "Almost the same" you get the idea... Beast Killers.

It costs 100 Auric Cells each to complete 1 tier, and that's always the same for multiple tiers. It's easier to just wait for the Tomes and do the leveling yourself.
So for example, if you bought 10 Tiers it would cost 1000 Auric Cells.

Didn't people do the math on that and even if you completed all challenges, you'd still be missing a good 340-ish Fragments?
For the first season? Well if it gave you about 20 tiers for the first tome, and there is 4, you'd have like 10 tiers left over I guess?

Short answer, no.
It says so in the description itself that the perk will turn the generator yellow for a few a set amount of seconds and than go back to red.
It must be a bug or something... I actually buffs it if you think about it.
