Yes, you should for sure send a support ticket in so they're aware of the issue.

    Here's the support link: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us

If you have any proof of the ownership of these skins, that would also help them with returning them to you! If not, they'll still find a way to figure it out.

  • @se05239 said:

For some reason, Behavior decided to put time-locks on each tome after the first one.

It was so people don't automatically finish the entire tome set and have nothing to use towards the next Rift. (That, and they'd have nothing to do afterwards until a completely new tome set is released.)

If you completed every tome than you'd have way more Rift Fragments than you'd need to complete The Rift... also, its to give them time to create more lore bits if they haven't already.

  • @Herman_CMH

If you don't believe me for some reason, here's the proof to listen for yourself.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWK7ieKRrYE

Skip to 0:42 to hear and I quote "The Tome is always available and can be completed at any time."

They did this so new player who're just getting into the game can play the Tomes we got to play at the start. The only thing that ends is The Rift seasons... once those end the charms in there will be lost forever, the skins will make their way to the shop eventually.

    Also, no problemo!

  • @P0S5E5SION

It works like this, you can skip ahead to the end of Tome l or you can finish the entire thing. You can take as long as you want to complete Tome l it's up to you.

Tome ll won't release until November 13, the same day the event ends. You can find the other release dates for Tome lll and Tome lV in the news section within the game itself (Load into the game, click news below on the main menu, than scroll down to The Archives part in the patch notes.)

Do you mean the level 1 will last for 6x days? Even at time the level 2 released?

No... I mean the tome, part 1, level 1, whatever you want to call it... will last for as long The Archives will exist...

They're always there to go back to and finish whenever you want to go and do them...

  • @Fibijean

If you want an exact date for the next tome, its November 13th. That's the same day the event will end.

You can find all the information on the rest of the tomes releases in the news section within the game itself (Scroll down to The Archives part.)

  • @Herman_CMH

It lasts for as long as you want to finish it... You can either finish the entire thing or skip right to the end, its entirely up to you and you can always go back to it.

The next part (Tome ll) won't release until November 13th, the same day the event ends.

  • @TheGhostFaceMain

The issue seems to be caused by either DBD or your PS4, since I don't play on PS4 I can't suggest you any fixes sadly. The best I can do... or anyone can do, is suggest you go to the support link and submit a ticket about your issue.

If anyone knows how to fix this issue, the support team will.

Ah, alright, thanks for your help!

I'll assume it was either the game breaking, or maybe a bug with the passive phasing add-on? Just a hunch. Also, I do not remember what add-ons she was running, that was just a guess.

    No problemo.

    @FireHazard

Hi, I did read the patch notes and I didn't see anything about it, that's why I was confused.

Have you played against her since the last patch? I just want to make sure in case this is just something that Behaviour decided not to/forgot to put into the patch notes.

Yes I've played against a lot of spirits since the last patch... sadly..............*cri-

Anyways, yes I've played against her before and after the patch... nothing has change... sadly...

  • @Merlin said:

Who did you use for kill all survivors? Most I've gotten is two with the pig

Wraith which is like one of the worst Killers to use if you're going for a 4k at Red Ranks. But I like the challenge... or I mean I DID like the challenge cause I finished it.

  • @HatCreature said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/803342#Comment_803342

Ok so it is how I was thinking when I mentioned Clown and Legion, Clown would benefit from Enduring because his gas slows people down and he would naturally attempt a swing at the pallet. Legion's FF stun is 4 seconds but if he gets pallet stunned out of it then it's 1 second. So it really depends on the Killer you play, that helps out a lot and makes sense, thanks :)

No problem, and yes Enduring would work with Legion since you can take a pallet stun and cut the stun down to a second.

And yes, Clown also can use Enduring for that scenario you said. If you don't have enduring or decide not to use it... than Brutal Strength also works because he too relies on M1s to down Survivors.

  • @Nutty_Professor

If my memory is correct since I'm not in-game at the moment... you just need to kill 4 Survivors by any means (It says so in the challenge itself.)

So you can mori them, sacrifice them, or in Cakes case a DC also counts... for some reason?

  • @Sirena

What @Timtom24 is saying is that in the game itself if you go to the main menu when you load in and click the news section below you can than scroll down and see when the new tomes will release.

The next tome won't release until November 13th, the same day that the Halloween Event ends. (Note, the Halloween event... not the serums in The Rift. Those will last for 2 months for anyone to get long after the Event is over.)

  • @PNgamer

What @Boosted_Dwight said, it's just for the main game... custom games are mainly to just practice and test things out.

  • @AhoyWolf

Yes, it'll still pick up Survivors that're downed after 16 seconds... it heals a health state passively after 16 seconds.

The reason they changed the insta-heal in the first place is because of that exact issue... people would go up to a Survivor that just got downed, heal them, than negate everything the Killer did in that chase.

You can still use it on a dying survivor... it'll just take 16 seconds to heal them... which is kind of a waste tbh because in that 16 seconds they'll most likely be fully healed already for someone to just pick them up.

You can use it on them when you pick them up though... than they'll be healed to full health in 16 seconds... so that saves you some time!

  • @BegonetimeIamdbd

No of course not, the Archives is here to stay in DBD for many years to come! Don't be afraid to get those lore bits and challenges as well!

The only thing that ends within The Archives is the serums you'll get in the free track on The Rift... that's about it... and that doesn't end until like 2 months later.

  • @HatCreature

So, here's where the issue comes in with which saves more time...

For one, Brutal Strength breaks pallets 20% faster at its third tier... while Enduring can take 50% off of a stun when you're hit by a pallet!

To say which is better depends on the Killer you're using... for one, Brutal Strength is better to use on Killers like Trapper and Pig because they rely on their M1 as their primary means of downing people... the same can be said for Freddy, but the thing about Freddy is that he has Dream Pallets and Dream Snares to shorten a chase pretty quickly... So he doesn't really need it.

With Myers and GhostFace they have stealth to help them with getting downs and basic hits and they both can mind-game with that stealth...

Wraith does need Brutal Strength since he too relies on his primary attack to down people... but Enduring also works well with him because of how his power works after you uncloak... you can a burst of speed and you can hit someone while they're dropping a pallet and cut the stun in half.

Now, Killers like Billy and LF don't need Brutal Strength at all because they have chainsaws... but Enduring on the other hand is a god sent for them... pair that with Spirit Fury and they have a very scary combo to face.

    basically...

It all depends on the Killer and their strengths and weaknesses with these two perks... to say Enduring is better than Brutal Strength isn't showing how good Brutal Strength is on certain Killers... the same goes for Enduring as well.

Enduring USED to be better because it countered Pre-Patch DS which EVERYONE!!! used... But now that DS is nerfed and Enduring doesn't really change the stun... it isn't that way anymore.

The fact that you get exhausted, but doesn't trigger, because you got hit instead tells me it's unintential. And avoiding damage mid-animation is affected as well currently. It's just one of many things which doesn't work properly yet with the servers.

Than idk what to tell you, its obvious the tickrate is low from what you've explain... since a high tickrate would fix that issue.

Regardless, we won't see it being fixed until the next patch... or we might not see it fixed at all who knows.

  • @BunnyTheHutt said:

I know, but as I have said multiple times, there are ways too fix this. With dedicated servers they have said they can track those who suicide and DC, so they simply need too ban those who did it, and people would be less likely too do it. It won't stop the issue, people are gonna be jerks, but it would solve it for the most part.

And plants were never forced on you, you were never forced too do the plants, I do agree the plants took a very long time too drain, but it's something that is a very easy fix for. No problem during the event besides que times weren't fixable with some tweaking and changing.

Honestly I would still rather have the problems of last year then the current "event" it's nothing but a glorified bloody party streamers. An event should be special, not "gain an offering that gives more bloodpoints. Have fun." or "do a special gen for points, and put people on special hooks for point."

Again, to fix those issues they would have to think of a way to stay true to how the events theme is... while also not copy and pasting from the moonrise event that everyone wants to happen with other events also...

Making more moonrise event clones doesn't do anything but keeps things stale... You can argue the special hooks and generators are stale but at least they worked... they didn't cause a lot of suicide by hook or long queue times to just get vials...

Plus, this even allows you to get those serums for literally 2 months... that's 2 months to get all 60 serums... so nobody will miss out on it at all. How long did it take to get 60 serums for both sides? Almost the entire events time...

No, you weren't forced to get nectar... but that argument doesn't even make sense... it doesn't matter if you're forced to get the nectar or not... its an event! You're suggested to participate and that's up to you.

Saying its "easy to just track suicides and DCing" and "It's easy to think of something else" is easier to say... than it is to do it, please keep that in mind. The team has to think of new designs for those special hooks and generators too you know... they don't just have them on hand to put into the game.

In the future i'm sure they'll think of a interesting concept for another event... but for now this is what you get.

You're either satisfied or not, nobody is forcing you to be happy about it.

I would be pleased if it wasn't such a major downgrade compared too last years event. There really is no good reason too not fix the problems with Hallowed Blight and instead give us the most basic and boring thing that doesn't even effect gameplay like all other game events do.

They have done major things that I do enjoy, such as the archives and the servers (mostly) but if there is a flaw then I'm not gonna be quiet about it. This new "event" is a complete downgrade in every form from last year, and they didn't even bring the cool hooks from last year back, now we have these incredibly ugly, and almost untextured looking hooks and gens that are eye sores.

You can't fix the major issues that the pustula plants had in the first place. The 2nd objective was such a time waster and it also rewarded players that just completed their vials and died on first hook.

That was like 90% of the matches during the start of the event, people would bring offerings, get nectar, die, than repeat until you had 30 vials for that side... And the match making was also a nightmare for Killer. Not many Survivors were playing, the ones that were just died on the first hook... and most of the Killers had to wait for 10 minute + or 20 minute lobbies to even get a chance to complete a vial...

It was so bad that they just merged the vials together so people could finish it... I know you will say "But what about the moonrise event? Can't they just copy paste it from that instead of giving us a boring mechanic for serums?"

Yes, they could. But, it would go with the event if you just grabbed serums in 3 seconds... the point of the Hallowed Blight was to collect serums from plants... that was its theme... you can't just copy and paste other events concepts into another events... it doesn't work that way.

  • @Tara

So, i'm going to assume since you bought the game 2 days ago that you're rank 20 or in the grey ranks, if you're farther than you're most likely in Yellow.

The way the match making system works is that it finds anyone that's in your rank to play with and matches you up with them! If it can't find anyone that's in your rank or the rank above, than it looks for ranks above those two ranks (Above Yellow and Grey.)

So for example, if nobody in your rank is searching for anyone to play with or they're in a match or whatever... than the system will take extra time to look for players above your rank to play with.

This is how it is on all the platforms, but for switch it's a bit different, switch came out a bit before or after the rank reset (which happens on the 13th of every new month.) So, because of this... many players have already gone past Yellow and Green ranks (the players that do play casually) and are no longer in that rank to pair with you.

So... it takes some time to find people that're above your rank and yellow because nobody in your rank or yellow is either playing at the moment... or they're in a match... or whatever. This is how it works... once you hit Green Ranks the queue times will improve drastically compared to Grey and Yellow ranks.

  • @Blu3_Phantom

It says on the news section in the game itself that Tome ll won't release until November 13th. November 13th is when the event ends itself but The Rift that has the serums will still be up for 2 months+

So basically, to get more Rift Fragments you need to just level up your player level... which you do so by just playing the game normally. I say player level, but each new rift fragment has its own agenda for how much exp you need to get another Fragment.

You can see how much EXP you need until the next Fragment is given by looking where your archives tab is on the right hand side with in the Survivor or Killer lobby.

    what does this mean?

It means you'll still be able to get the serums for about 2 months and after That Rift closes, you'll have 2 weeks to spend your serums before they expire.

Tome ll (The next part in the challenges tab) won't release until (like I said above) November 13th, which is when the event also ends... note, The Event, not The Rift that lets you collect the serums it's just the event that ends on that date.

  • @GoatyTCO

No, she hasn't been given any nerf. You can hear her footsteps if she's literally right next to you or about to be next to you by a very short distance.

It was probably just a trick of the mind or the game was freaking out idk. All I know is, no, she hasn't been nerfed or shadow nerfed in patch 3.3.1

  • @Freudentrauma said:

I can't remember them ever giving us any official number for the Tickrate. But like FireHazard said, it's probably a quite low one. Wouldn't be surprised, if a higher tickrate isn't possible for technical reasons.

@FireHazard tactical? It's just more broken and unintuitive.

Yes tactical, to extend a loop or to avoid damage mid-animation now.

It's debatable if that's a reasonable nerf or not, unintentional or intentional.

  • @Mesme

Ok so, i'm gonna shorten this entire answer to make it more simple and save myself some time.

Basically, rank reset was 2 weeks ago and anyone who was in your rank is no longer there. Yellow and Grey ranks (You're in Yellow) is pretty dead and the queue times take a really long time to get...

It won't improve until you hit Green Ranks my friend it's good you're in the US, but since those ranks are really late into the season... it's not gonna get better till you hit Green Ranks (For queue times.)

So, the system is trying to find you people to play with that're above your rank... that's why the queue takes so long... it's trying to find people that're in your rank and can't because there are none (possible.) Than it searches elsewhere in the higher ranks.

That's why you sometimes see Yellow Ranks paired with Red Ranks and Purple Ranks. It's because the queue prioritizes players that have been waiting a long time... so they get first dibs on a new lobby after waiting so long.

"Simplified and short." You get the idea though.

  • @Tills

So, the issue stems from how ranks and regions work with those ranks in-general...

So for example, you're rank 16 and your region is Europe... most of the time in Grey Rank or in your case Yellow... it is very dead (Grey more so dead.) it's very common for you to get long queue times because you're in such a dead part of the ranking system.

The reason behind this is that not many people are at Yellow or Grey rank due to the rank reset happening a few weeks ago... so... people won't be in that rank because they would of already gone ahead to the higher ranks...

What the Match Making algorithm does is that it searches for ranks that're equal to yours, and the same goes for the Killer of that rank... if it can't find anyone that's the same rank (Because they are either in another match or not many people in that rank are online or there in-general...) than you'll have to wait a lot longer for the MM to find someone who's above those ranks to pair you with..

That's kind of why Red Ranks get paired with Green and sometimes even Yellow ranks, because their queue times take priority over other people due to how long they've waited... so the MM will pair you with anyone it can find if it takes way too long.

  • @v3teran

What's your rank and region please.

    @FireHazard

A tickrate is a rate in which the Server updates the players position/action in hertz.

For example the dedicated servers from CS:GO update 64 times per second (64Hz)

In shooter games a low tickrate can cause, what I call "trades" or "kill kills". You kill eachother simultaneously, what you don't want. (HitReg games at least). On a faster tickrate things like the dead hard issue that I mentioned won't happen. Also the hits through pallets (if its not just hitboxes) can be negated that way.

If that's the case than the tickrate must be low, considering you still get hit from interesting lengths around windows and after pallets are dropped.

Also, if that's the case for Dead Hard than it must be low. Or, it's just Dedicated Servers causing DH to finally work in a more... tactical way, rather than just pressing a button and avoiding all damage in that dash.

  • @vkz

Because of how Dedicated Servers work, you no longer can just use Dead Hard at the last second to gain I-Frames and avoid every hit... you have to use it more tactically and more so to extend a loop, rather than using it to just avoid anything.

It's kind of a good thing this has happened, but this has been happening... probably because DH doesn't work off of the Killers connection anymore to dictate the I-Frames.

That, or it was an intentional change... either way it's a fair nerf.

Hah, i can accept that, and not to discredit you, but i will at least try to get a dev in. ๐Ÿ˜‹

    @Peanits @not_Queen

By all means, go right ahead.

  • @katerbater said:

Yes, that's correct. I should've gone into second stage but died instead.

Ok, do I need to send my logs or something? I'm not that tech savvy and don't know how to do that. But thank you so much, I will report it in the bug section.

No, you don't need to send your log info unless you were directly sending this to the devs. A simple description and will suffice, the format for how to make a bug report is in the red text box above in that sub-forum.

  • That's not an official date though, it's unknown if it does or not.

I wouldn't take leaked information as the right information...

  • @katerbater

So you kobed, than instead of going into the 2nd phase when you were downed again... you died instead?

That's not intentional no, it's not in the patch notes either because it's clearly a bug that's happening with the Survivor state. You should indeed file a bug report about this so they can find a way to fix it.

  • It's always been that way in the KYFs lobbies, there never was an explanation for it... it's just always been that way and nobody has really asked that question directly to the devs... until now I suppose.

I think I know why, when you're a Survivor you're lined up with the other Survivors in the lobby to make a neat little line... perhaps its the perspective that's fooling us (highly doubt it since you're too close to the Survivors.)

That's just a thought though, like I said, only a dev can really answer this question for you with 100% certainty.

Sadly, I can't help you out with this question unfortunately... unless you'd like to accept that it's just a strange design choice with no explanation given.

  • @CitrusCyanide

The Rift is bugged for some people at the moment, it doesn't give you the Auric Cells you unlocked for those tiers they were in... so it's currently being looked into.

The best you can do is submit a ticket to the support team and let them be aware of your issue.

    Here's the support link: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us

  • @Boss

I think they're taking inspiration from KYFs, since KYFs did this before the patch rolled out. (Especially when nobody was in the lobby yet, and the silhouettes were there instead.)

It's unknown why this was chosen during this patch, only a dev could tell you that.

  • @StargamerXD

I have no idea what a tickrate is, this is completely new to me.

@Peanits might know, otherwise I couldn't tell you... If you mean ping, the ping is based where you live... it gets better when you're closer to Canada I believe.

At least you're keeping that in mind when facing some Survivors that're not as good or... if like half or 75% of the team DC'ed because you're playing Spirit.

You don't have to do it, but it's nice that you do!

  • @Blueberry said:

Because most the other killers are weak and playing a bully simulator isn't fun. If they'd buff other killers we'd see other killers.

Yes, that's exactly what we're talking above in the posts above. It would increase the health of the game overall... and give all ranks a lot more diversity to use in any rank ESPECIALLY Red Ranks...

You can play any Killer you want, it's your Killer after all. It's just nice though to keep in mind that some people might not... like facing that Killer because of their mechanics... which are considered by most to be unfun to face.

I'm not saying go all out and let people farm or finish all 5 gens because 2 people DC'ed or something, but a small gesture like giving someone the hatch is good enough. Or don't do that... up to you.

  • @johnmwarner said:

Okay no Spirit, in response you as survivor agree not to loop my M1 killer around killer shack or any other "near infinite," loop right?

You're missing the point, it's not fun to face a Killer with broken mechanics, it's another thing to be looped around shack because you want to 1, stay in a losing chase. 2, you attempt to go against someone that'll waste a lot of your time to down. Or 3, avoiding to apply pressure by going after less skilled Survivors.

This is an entirely different argument with how M1 Killers face most loops in-general, lets keep it like... one at a time please...

  • @Spirit_Hag said:

Ill stop using the spirit when they buff other killers powers to be more viable against red 4 rank rank skilled survivors

By all means, go right ahead. Do keep in mind though to be a bit nice to people who're just trying to have fun, the same goes for you.

Just play the game normally, if you feel someone deserves the hatch at the end than why not? If you don't want to do any of this than that's 100% your choice too. Don't play the way I'd like you to or anyone else would... it's your Killer.

The trapper match I played was wack.. 2 people DC'd within 1 minute so the trapper just farmed with us. We also stepped in his traps and let him hit us and all that. So I guess we were lucky.

I did face Doctor 3 times though.. It didn't really make sense since I almost never see him, especially at purple ranks.

Doctor is like, the 2nd best farmer behind Legion now... That's probably why... some Killers had a lot of old offerings to use on him or something, or they're just looking for points and don't own Legions DLC...

    Either or.
