No, the challenge specifically requires you break pallets or damage generators with a normal kick with Brutal Strength in your perk slot...
Breaking pallets with a chainsaw doesn't count since you're not actively breaking them in the normal way with the perk... as the challenge intended.
short answer
No, it doesn't work that way.
-
We can't really talk about this here, you can probably guess why since it wasn't officially announced...
-
Did you redeem the reward for the previous challenge and than tried to continue with that challenge?
If not, than no this isn't normal and you should contact support to see what they can do about it, i'll link you it below.
Here's the support link: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us
BUT, if you didn't do what I said above at the start of this post, you should go and try doing that than come back here and let me know... if nothing changes than it's probably bugged and won't let you continue for some reason.
If so, THAN file a support ticket... otherwise if you do what I said and it works than you're fine.

This is how the hatch spawn works for how many Survivors and generators are done within the trial during a match.
- 4 Survivors remaining: 5 repaired Generators / Exit Gates are powered
- 3 Survivors remaining: 4 repaired Generators / 1 Generator left
- 2 Survivors remaining: 3 repaired Generators / 2 Generators left
- 1 Survivor remaining: Spawns and opens regardless of how many generators remain.
From what you said, you killed two Survivors, than you hooked a 3rd while 2 generators were left.
So... this correlates with the 3rd point above "2 Survivors remaining: 3 repaired Generators / 2 Generators left." So this lines up exactly with what you said, there was 2 Survivors left, 2 generators left, and since there is 5 generators in total and 3 of them repaired... than that means the conditions to spawn the hatch were met.
The 2nd Survivor that wasn't hooked must of found the hatch and opened it with a key and left, leaving the last Survivor for dead.

I'm not 100% on this as I don't tamper with the files in-general to avoid a EAC ban. I'll @MandyTalk @Peanits and @Rizzo90 to see if they know, otherwise... I wouldn't touch them until they or someone who knows responds.
my somewhat of an answer
Personally, if you're asking if you can make a save file copy than yes, that'll get you banned. Besides, that's not possible to do because the save files are on BHVRs cloud for DBDs systems...
If you're like, asking to just copy the entirety of your computer onto the ssd, than I don't see how that would really get you banned since you're not actively changing the files within DBD itself... So, for me personally i'd say no, but i'm not 100% so take what I said at face value...

So, it works like this. The skins and charms on the tome that's up for that season are exclusive until the tome is over. Once the tome ends, the charms are yours to keep of course and will no longer come back to that rift (Unless they like, re-introduce them but it's highly unlikely since they'll be making unique charms for each new tome that's out.)
As for the skins, the skins will reappear in the store after the tome closes (I think, it's either that or some time after the tome closes.) So no, the skins are not exclusive to The Rift forever, but the charms are exclusive to that tome and ONLY that tome.
So once you have em, they're yours to keep and nobody can receive them again after the tome closes. Hence the name "exclusive" they're a one time thing for people to get if they want to buy the premium pass. (I'm not 100% if the non-rare charms will be re-used, but the rare ones like the chibi Claudette, the nectar flower, and the vial at the 70th tier are not coming back... i'm not sure about some other charms there, but the non-rare ones are unknown to return or not.)
short answer
Once you get them on that tome, they're yours to keep forever. When that tome ends, you can't get those charms anymore. They're officially exclusive to that tome afterwards and every unique tome will be a one time thing.
So get em while you can! Or don't... up to you.

Thank you, while you're here, is this intended or is there a way to fix it?
No, and I wasn't there for when you asked this sorry.
Anyways no, you can't fix it yourself because the system doesn't exist. The only thing you can do is use the "recent discussions" tab on the top left corner of the forums under "discussions."
But that's it, and it only works on every discussion, not specific ones.
-
No, you can't do that on any sub-forum on the forums. The top post is the one with the most recent comment/time it was posted... that's it. If you want to find a post you need to search part of its name in the search bar, or the full name.
But otherwise no, there isn't a sorting system for posts.

A lot of people are reporting this problem on the forums, across multiple platforms. Hopefully it's something that the devs will be able to fix soon.
Ah, than @Mikey4Hire please do submit a support ticket so they're aware of your issue.
The link is there, but it's also right here in this comment.

I'm saving my cells until I reach level 70 then i'mma just get my cells back -shrugs-
But if this is a serious issue and could be happening to some people that is frightening...
That's a good way to do it, since you can get all 1k cells back if you finished the entire tome for that season.
I've been getting my cells back (I'm pretty sure I have been... I just haven't payed attention.) but if he hasn't it might just be bugged for him. But it's unknown if he's 100% on this.
If it is, it most likely is happening to him but might not happen to you of course. Don't be discouraged from buying the pass though (If you want to buy it of course.) It's good to be cautious though if it is bugged.
-
This is how it works, when you complete all 70 tiers for the free pass you can than have the option to buy the premium pass after you're done with the free pass.
If you do, you'll be given everything on the premium pass. It'll treat it as if you already owned the pass, and you'll be compensated for buying it after completing the entire tome for that season.
"short answer"
If you complete the free pass and buy the premium after, you'll still get all the rewards from the premium pass for how far in the tier list you went. So if you buy the premium pass when you're 50 tiers into the free pass, than you'll get all 50 tier rewards from the premium pass as well.
-
Are you sure? If you're not getting your Auric Cells back from the premium pass than that's an issue indeed. If you complete the whole pass you'll be given back all 1k of your Auric Cells you spent. It's a way to uh... reward a player for their commitment to that tome.
If you're absolutely sure you're not receiving your Auric Cells from each tier on the Premium track, than please click this link and file this with the support team so they're aware of this issue. It might be happening to others to, so they should know this and help you out if they can.
You need to be 100% on this though, it's just to make sure.

so how do you use the charms, is it something you can use?
You unlock them in The Rift, than equip them like you would equip any skin.
(Aka, the option to decorate your Survivors with charms or your Killers hooks is in the customization tab where you switch between skins.)

I am aware of the difference. Regardless it's a mechanic that promises you stealth at the cost of moving slower.
Yes... I does.
But it wasn't really useful except for like loops or faking dashes, or some stealth moments if you had time.

Tier 1 Myers has always been immune to OoO and other detection perks. Other stealth killers though, you have a point.
I don't remember if he was immune to OoO or not, that parts fuzzy because I've never been in Tier l for more than a minute. The latest I've had was 2 cause someone did try to loop me around a rock but failed cause it had low walls.
In-general, OoO sucks... and with Tier ll Myers it's kind of worse. And for GhostFace and Wraith it was like... don't cloak around the OoO user or you'll never catch them.

@Peasant said:

Just this morning I was using OoO and I got into a game with a new Pig player. I was feeling suicidal so I legit followed her with No Mither and Iron Will for the first minute of the match. I saw her crouch and uncrouch with OoO which meant to me at least that crouching was pointless.
Crouching is situational, it's not as important as like... a whole power like Wraith or GhostFaces, or a passive power like Myers which you can't turn off...

Now, to get trapper to hold his traps aswell
I think he did back in 2016, but i'm not 100% on that.

BHVR wants to make stealth killers more consistent for new players.
That, and perks like OoO destroyed Killers like Tier l Myers, Wraith when cloaked (Which made his power worthless against a Object user) and made using GhostFaces power against a solo OoO user or a SWFs with coms a nightmare...

why is tier 1 Myers affected by premonition and spine chill now? he should be the only killer that has 0 detection, at tier 1 at least, it's a nerf
I don't know as of the PTB, but in the PTB he was.
So unless the patch notes say he isn't (Which I didn't see anything on it) than he's still seen by premonition and Spine Chill.

A lot of good stuff this patch!
Indeed! I like the pig change personally, and the Styptic Change gives it more counter-play.
Of course all these changes are nice though, but those are my favorites. (And Plunderer's Instinct giving items auras.)

Yes.
EDIT: Yes it's a part of the Plunderer's perk. I just realized how vague that sounded.
Than i'll edit it.
And also, did you guys read my post on that pig weapon thing or something? I wasn't expecting that from the patch :o
(By that I mean did you guys see my post on how her weapon is on her left arm in the main menu, now it's a trap to reflect how realistic it would be if she took the weapon off her arm and put it on her other arm)

@cetruzzo said:
are the items on the ground visible only if you have plunderer's perk?
I'll get back to you on that one after I check the perk itself and in-game (In a match as of writing this reponse)

I can dig it! Today has been remarkably fun for me as Killer ^0^ Dunno if I've jus been lucky with some potatoes, but the last handful of matches have been really chill, getting Archive Challenges completed, my Dailies and unlocking stuff. About halfway through the first Rift page/level and if this is the kind of pacing I can expect, give or take a lil.... Then I'm on board for this.
Now we can do things YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
@Superyoshiegg said:
By 'devotion level', do you mean each time you get your Player Level up in general?
I can't imagine a single Rift Shard being a compelling reward every 100 levels.
I meant player levels yes, I edited it above.
Each new player level gives you a rift fragment! I think higher the levels the more fragments (But that's unknown atm)
-
@Viracocha72 said:
That's cool but crap, I literally just got my first devotion level ever last night. I would have not played my last few game as if I knew this was going to be a thing.
No, I mean player levels i'll edit it sorry.

@Alice_pbg said:
Can I get my 100+ fragments now? XD
For past devotion levels no sadly not.
-
@GrootDude said:
Do I get them for my past devotion levels too? I’m still updating.
No, sadly not.
I mean, not really sadly cause... if we did we'd finish the entire tier list for this rift lol...
-
You have two options, you can 1, collect Rift Fragments which is the points that progress The Rift for the next tier of rewards...
OR, you can skip each tier for 100 Auric Cells each! It's always 100 Auric Cells for the next tier you buy.
-
If you mean the DCing issue, the new system hasn't been added yet. But eventually yet, they will be punished more severely and they'll detect it more often.

Makes me remember the good old days where games were taken hostage for 40+ minutes by a survivor who stealthily sneaked around the level instead of leaving. Such utter garbage.
I mean you can still stealth around the map with two people, it's just harder to pull off. Regardless, it was worse back then yeah.
We just have measures now like the EGC that will stop that from happening if one person is left...
-
@Herman_CMH said:
Follow-up questions, then will the perk also work with traps by the Trappers/Hags?
Yes, that was what it was mainly created for in the past. It will see both their traps and notify you within a 45 degree cone of view.
-
They announce it a bit before it's released after a day or two is left on the old Shrine Of Secrets.
Otherwise no, it's completely random to what will be on the next shrine, we just get to know what the random 4 perks will be a bit before it's out.
-
@se05239 said:
If the Killer is letting you bleed out, it's not taking the game hostage.
Right, if there is a definite end than it's not taking the game hostage.
-
@bomb1720 said:
these changes sound ridiculess, insta heals no longer insta heals. bad news for me as i don't usually take self care anymore.
Well, since Endurance gives you an effect that's literally the same as Mettle of Man, it's kind of like the same thing...
The only downside is that it doesn't heal you, it just gives you another hit if you were to be hit after using the Styptic Agent. Which is worse yes, but it's still the same in some regards with some counter-play to it now by waiting 15 seconds. And since most people did get hit a bit after using the instant heal... it's about the same-ish.
As for the Anti-Hemorrhagic Syringe, you can still heal fully after 8 seconds of using it... so if you're good around a loop and can survive 8 seconds than it's honestly not an issue at all.
Of course though, they're worse than they were before... they were just nerfed to actually have counter-play. As Peanits stated once "It was bad when you'd down someone after a long chase and someone would run up and instantly remove all that progress you did to down that one Survivor..." or something to that regard, not those exact words but it's the same meaning.
-
Define what you mean by this, because this could be interpreted to be many different things...
-
Unless he kept you there indefinitely until you DC'ed... like if you were stuck in a corner and he was blocking the corner so you couldn't get out, THAN that's keeping the game hostage because you're forced to do only one thing... and that's DC.
Because you died from waiting until you just bled out and than hooking you, there was a "definite end" so no. If you report him for that it'll do nothing i'm afraid. What he did was within the rules, so... yeah, sorry.
-
Nope it just makes it easier to get off the hook... despite the change being so small that it's hardly noticed. Even the "Considerable Increases Luck" offerings don't improve the percentages that much, it's still around like 7% because Vigo's Jar Of Salty Lips brings up the 4% by 3%. So the chalk pouches give even less except the green one (Which only gives that 3% to yourself)
It's like, hardly even noticeable.
-
What Fibijean said.
-
No, there is no current way to change servers at this time, and I doubt they'll ever change it because it's a region based system...
I doubt they'd change the servers to be optional to change, since if you're trying to go into a server that has insanely bad ping than it wouldn't work... It will most likely work off of regions and that's all, but we'll have to wait and see after the current test 2 is over.

Didn't know about the map thing. Thanks for your answer mate.
No problemo! I'm just as surprised as you're about the map part, but I guess it's the same as Hags traps being seen on it...
So Freddy's Snares might also work in the same way, but I didn't get to test that part out unfortunately, only the pallet part.
-
It's mostly focusing on her base-kit being changed to require her blinks to charge for 3 seconds each... and all of her add-ons are also being reworked and changed to remove omega blinks and be more balanced overall...
But since the PTB is over, these changes are subject to change THEMSELVES! So this isn't 100%
-
Yes it works on both, interesting enough though that Windows Of Opportunity does not change the color of the pallets if they're dream pallets or not... it's still yellow for all of them, fake or real.
But maps do highlight fake pallets in red, and real pallets are not highlighted at all! So Small Game and Maps actually counter Dream Pallets and Small Game also counters Dream Snares!
-
No, you can't report him for holding the game hostage if that's what you're asking. There was a definite end to the match despite it being 5 minutes, so he technically didn't hold the game hostage... Holding the game hostage is when like... if the Pig trapped you in a corner of the map and didn't move from that spot until you DC'ed... than that's holding the game hostage.
But, you can report him for trolling since he was obviously throwing the match by sitting there, than he'd wait until you died from the trap (which you can't remove because he's blocking the Billy Box) and that's literally all he's doing...

I want to add another point to your thread that is semi-related. I've notied a new trend especially with survivors who will claim the game was boring or more often boooooorrriiiing. Whenever a game don't go their way. It can be a perfectly gg/good game with no tunneling/Bm/camping or whatnot, but all fair and fun, BUT if the killer comes out on top EVEN after a long struggle with an even match. Or they used a specific perk, NOED/Enduring/spirit fury. And even one guy that i caught with bloodwarden while he was my rancor obsession said it was "boring", like come on, i personally live for those Oh frick! Moments. Then the killer receives critcism of the match being boring in the end chat.
I don't understand why someone can genuinly think that is boring. Unless! Boring has become the new saying, when your just salty that you lost.
I've seen some killers say this aswell when the match is over to quick or they get looped half the game without dropping the chase, but mostly with survivors.
I think the common issue of "If I don't 4k or escape than I didn't win" argument is in play there.
Some people just don't want to lose no matter what.

I mean, I'm always polite and nice to the other side, regardless of the role I'm playing. I know what it's like to be that random the SWF is blaming for failing the game or the person being tunneled because the killer doesn't want them to do anything other than being chased. Luckily you can get emblems and points in other categories for being a distraction, essentially. The people who do those sorts of things are rarely the sort to listen to reason, though. If they're caught chasing you for 3+ gens, they're understandably hesitant to switch targets (especially if you're injured and someone else isn't). The people who hunt people down based off of the character they're playing are often memers who throw the game, too. I've seen people who tunneled and killed Dwights (even had a name with it and everything). They're just making an excuse to ruin someone else's game. That's their goal. They'd come up with another excuse. They're likely bitter and wanting to take out their bad games/day on someone else.
It's kind of sad that some people think and act on those feelings towards others... but I guess we'll always have people that act like that.
Everyone is redeemable though, it all depends on that first step! Or they don't want to change... it's up to them entirely. It's just better to be positive, since it actually might rub off on someone else you've faced against or played with.
