Wraith running around pressuring survivors is always nice, gives me room to cook, pretty much a staple given how big the maps are, love playing him too

you can still use your phone for voice communication while playing on PS4.
Okay, so play without sound? That's not incredibly fun.

just look up for similar topics and you might find an answer
People already talk over Discord or party chat for whichever console they're on, it'll just make it easier for cross platform people, do you have cross platform friends? How do you communicate with them?
-
@Mooks said:
still haven’t found an actual tangible reason for voice chat existing
if you want to talk to your crossplay friends or on ps, there is still easy third party solutions on mobile for example. It’s even working between mobile and pc etc.
There is no need for it to exist in DbD, especially since it will require MUCH work to function well, would need moderation and the community would cry out because they would expect the game to be balanced around it since it’s an in-game feature.
I'm not playing on mobile, I'm playing on PS4.

Language difference, abuse, technical aspects to a game which has so thin spaghetti code that if you change a pixel on Nurse's character you'll freeze in position if you drop a pallet with Adam on Gideon etc.
There won't be any language difference or abuse between me and my friends on other platforms, the spaghetti code could be a reason why it doesn't exist but it's not a reason it shouldn't exist.

Just tested it three times for good measure, it seems to be 33.3333...
Was asking because that means new Vigil is going to be 30.76923... seconds as opposed to 28 seconds, still not that huge of a difference but interesting to know regardless
Have a nice day/night everyone :)

So just a random thought I had: Is the lightburn mechanic necessary? It seems old and outdated.
Should it be removed?
It doesn't affect the game often enough to even put effort into it imo.

This needs to be changed, if anything for being mapped to the same button for other actions. I would also like Saboteur to show the hook auras around a dying survivor - not only when they are picked up.
That's actually a really cool idea, definitely would make the perk a lot more fun.

yeah but the opponent already knows he has won. While in DBD a 3 man SWF could decide to forfeit because the killer is not playing a character they like or because they don' tlike the map and they would win the vote because they have the majority.
Bro, I said unanimous, it would have to be all four survivors, and if the other side forfeits it counts as a win for you and vice verse, that's the point if forfeiting, saying "You win, I lose".
-
@Yatol said:

unanimous implies the majority, which could mean 3 votes out of 4 for exemple , i am saying everyone (alive) must agree otherwise it just makes solo Q unfun when matched with SWF trolls.
Because its just going to end up into a forfeit fest. If all gens are completed the Killer can open the gate if they want to concede.
Unanimous literally means what you are saying...
-
@Yatol said:
it can work for survivor, however there needs to be a consequence. Like you lose all blood points and double depip, similar to dc except you dont get a timer also all 4 survivors must agree to be able to forfeit. Killer doesn't get to forfeit.
I said unanimous in the original post, but why shouldn't a killer get to forfeit? It would only be fair to allow both sides to accept defeat, why should killers have to stay in games where they're getting stomped?

But chess are a duel game not a multiplayer one. Forfeiting at chess only takes you away from the game while in DBD it takes 5 people out.
A forfeit in Chess also takes the opponent out of the game...
-
@TacitusKilgore said:
Considering how salty DBD players tend to be, a forfeit button would be the worst choice the dev team could ever make. Gens going to fast? Match ends! Ds'd once? Match end! Go down to early? Lose a teammate! Go down to a weird hitbox? Lose a teammate! People would be forfeiting left and right. Its a baaad idea.
You're overlooking the part where I said "unanimous", you wouldn't lose a teammate unless they DC, forfeiting would be every survivor deciding that the game is lost.

@ukenicky said:
Forfeit button was the ability to DC without penalty we had a month or so ago.
DC isn't unanimous.

@Massquwatt said:
Standard matches in DBD don't go very long, can be anywhere between 5-15 minutes long. A forfeit option is really unecessary for the game anyway and putting it in will just make matches even shorter because you'll just have survivors and killers immediately giving up when something doesn't go their way and is that what you really want? You can already forfeit without the need to disconnect anyway, either suicide on the hook as survivor or stand in the corner as killer and tab out until the match is over.
Rocket League games go for 5 minutes and still have a forfeit button and I think it's great, if there's 30 seconds left and the score is 1-5 you could save yourself 30 second and go next. The point of the forfeit is to be quick so you can move on to the next game as soon as possible, there's really no point in staying when there's two survivors left and three gens that need to be completed, it's just not viable.

Had a game where I had your standard South American player that fed and spammed the surrender vote and insulted his teammates in broken English. I was Kog'Maw and farmed up well while my teammates did as the forced 50 percent win teammates do best (they sucked).. long story short: we wiped them and then I was able to take out the mid towers extremely fast and we barely took out their nexus. I think the way the game works now is that it is somewhat a team game, but you can still save yourself if your teammates suck. I like it that way and don't want to lose because my teammates give up.
Ah alright, I don't really play League so I don't really know much about it, this game struggles with the problem of your fate being in other peoples hands though, whether there is a forfeit button or not some random guy decides whether or not you escape.
Not so much for killer though, that's kind of controllable.
That's why I want a forfeit button, it was mainly and idea I thought of for survivors but bad killer games exist too, but being able to forfeit in doomed games would make the game a more enjoyable experience I think.
-
@Markness said:
Yeah, can’t wait for it to be like League of Legends where your idiot teammates spam the surrender vote instead of trying to make a comeback. That was annoying and demoralizing too. Someone would feed and then would spam the surrender vote. It would be the same here if someone got downed quickly. No thank you!
Yeah but from what little I know about League, sometimes losses are irrecoverable, if somebody is ultra fed then it's impossible to take them down, just like it's impossible to do 4 gens with 2 survivors alive, or get 12 hooks with 5 gens done.

But DC-ing gives a penalty and you need to be put on the hook to ######### on it which takes ages, it would be an easy way for survivors to accept the loss and move on to the next trial instead of having the game drag on.
Also, killers can't exactly suicide on hook.
Like I said, it would have to be unanimous for the forfeit to actually go through.
-
@HaunterofShadows said:
we call that dc-ing/suiciding on hook

I'm having the same issues, the Unbroken emblem and the hitboxes, I personally like the UI but damn the rest of the stuff mentioned sucks.

Honestly, this might have just been a one off thing, the game has been running fine other than this time.

This might be the only addon where compound 7 could be useful on yes
It doesn't reduce turning during a slam, it only reduces it while rushing.
-
@Zeus said:
What does it do?
-
@SadLegion said:
You basically rush in strait lines with it. Pretty bad imo. They should give it something else to compensate bad turning, probably increased speed
It also give you 2 extra tokens and makes them recharge faster. It also makes you able to turn more when you lunge, meaning you can hit around corners a lot easier. So it does have compensation for the terrible turning it gives.
-
@Ghost_Face_Main said:
Isn't that the green add-on that basically disables Rush turning, but grants 2 charges and high lunge mobility? If so, it is not great by any means, especially within indoor maps.
It also increases the recharge rate for tokens, so you get your ability back faster.

Consoles not being optimized and having crap FPS compared to PC. The response from those outside console is "well just turn off crossplay" instead of "they should optimize to have it be fair playing against eachother."
Not to mention that turning off cross-play severely hinders your ability to find a game since it's opt out.

Getting the complete opposite on my end. I'm getting really laggy interactions though. Not being able to hook a survivor for a solid 5 seconds because the game says "no" is frustrating.
E: Are you restarting your app after every match? I wouldn't be surprised if the memory leak is still around.
No, I haven't been, I'll try this out. Also I've found that the workaround for the hook bug is to move out of range of the hook (so the prompt goes away) and then move towards the hook again and it should work.
-
What else is the killer supposed to do in this scenario?
-
There's no such thing as a definitive tier list because it's all up to preference.
-
I'd say competitive but that's just my mindset, any game where I'm versing other players is competitive to me, Call of Duty, Fall Guys, UNO, you name it.
-
Straight to the basement, puts me in an advantageous position, not wiggling as a survivor can screw over the entire team if killers get nasty ideas.
-
I would like something like this however it just seems like a lot of work that could be put elsewhere.

Well i have the same issue : i can access the old challenges but once i go to the lore page it take me back to the current one...

I'm looking for the older collections with all of the lore, I am able to navigate to the older tome challenges but am unable to find the older memories that completeing those challenges rewards you with. Is this intended?
Never mind, it's showing up for me now, must have just been a bug.

There has always been a way to access older tomes, so unless you've noticed it removed, you should be able to find them. You can also complete old tome challenges as well, regardless of when the corresponding Rift had closed.

It's subjective, I'd say use whichever one works better for you, I like to switch between them every so often.

Please disable them.
I'm tired of having to spend 7k BP on an in-game advertisement that constantly clogs my killer's webs -- especially when I already own the damn killers I'm getting the splinters for.
Literally hundreds of thousands of BP of mine has been flushed down the toilet because I forcefully had to take a splinter offering that lets me play a killer I already own without any perks, and many more BP was lost trying to avoid the damn things in the first place by having to inefficiently spend BPs on add-ons or offerings I didn't want, or unable to reach that one survivor pudding or party streamers that was behind the splinter offering itself.
Steam lets you refund any purchase you make within 2 hours of playtime and 2 weeks from purchase without question and that extends to the DLCs. That should be more than enough to decide if you like a killer or not.
Not everybody has the paid killers so the splinters are not targeted at you, there's also an easy workaround that they've refused to do which is removing them for players who have the DLC already.
Also, not everybody is playing on PC, so your point about refunds is invalid.

@PrettyFaceKate said:
You hook them where you have to. However, if they get unhooked and you see them running into the basement walls like a broken bot, then maybe leave them be out of courtesy. It's not like they are doing gens or anything productive.
So what's the point of them being there?
-
@meatisadelicacy said:
It's not your fault but I can kinda see how survivors would be frustrated by it, and knowing you're aware of it and are doing it anyway, ehhh. Kinda scummy. Also just turn off messages from randos until it's fixed if it's such a problem.
I understand the frustration too, don't get me wrong, it's just that they're directing their anger at me when they should be directing it at the devs.

What if the person is downed like right next to the basement and theres no other hooks.
That's exactly the experience I had, it wasn't this person in particular but I was in the lower level of Grim Pantry where it's hard to find your way out and I downed somebody, so I put them in the basement, got called a dog by two people after the game.
-
If killers camp and tunnel, they won't win.
-
I think they need to give something other than bloody skins, most players who play the game enough to P3 usually buy skins anyway, so having bloody skins becomes obsolete.
-
I just want them to release it on PS4, I'd play it :'(

Like a suspension in-game, or like Sony banned you temporarily?
Sony suspended me, I cussed them out over PlayStation messages, their ToS is pretty strict

I used to swear and all caps people who played like ######### at high ranks
I got a suspension on PS4
I don't do it anymore

I agree, some of these challenges are difficult even for the experienced players.

Good luck finding 8 games a day lol
