I stopped playing DBD after update, its now unplayable as survivor now. Tunneling killers, camping killers, God Mode for killers, they made it not fun for survivors and probably now killers now the main focus of game. DC this game everyone.Faster pick up speed is god mode, you heard it here first.

Show me a Doctor player that doesn't spam his shock ability ? Just to find screaming survivorsFirst off, that's literally his main ability. Telling people to not do that is like telling people not to use Nurse's blinks. And second, (and it's a good one) get better at the game! Doctor is low mid tier!

I think they seriously screwed up the game for survivors with this last patch. Killers now have the advantage, they can pretty much see exactly where you are now and with the nerf to sprint burst there is no getting away. Your gonna get hooked and if you have one crappy player or DC then you lost guaranteed. So now the toxicity is going to go up and Im already seeing more hacking and tunneling, camping killers. Very annoying update, this is the only developer that actually can break something that is already broken. SMH they should be embarrassed. This guy genuinely think that the killer having the advantage is a bad thing.
Are you ######### kidding me?? Killers are SUPPOSED to have the advantage! You're supposed to feel vulnerable. You should feel like there's not much chance. Who do you think should have the advantage, the victims???

Let's face it, no one plays DBD for fun anymore, when it comes down to it people play for ranks and making the score board.Killers struggle to win, and resort to camping which is honestly looked down upon, tunnling is annoying but killer's atleast lets you get saved. (I perfer tunneling, its challenging)
Survivors run the same old boring builds that they know is a almost garenty victory with skill. they get mad after being tunnled and DC. (dumb excuse for DC-ing) or for other reasons
I play for fun, weather I'm maining survivor or playing killer for free points and to just mess with people and give them free points. (or to improove and understand how both sides work)
I also play for the cool cosmetics, one person role play, and a challenge.I'll admit I get mad and frustrated, and I do DC, but I only disconnect if I have to do work else where, or (survivor reason only) if I can't get saved while being camped.
(Hey I'm not wasting my time on a match were the killer is just going to sit there and watch me die) I know I'm not going to escape every time and I understand that, but I'm not wasting a match where its not fun.Besides what's wrong with me DC when I get camped? Killer gets the full points if he had actually killed me, rank isn't important to me, items I'll just get back later in the blood web. So go ahead and camp, I don't care, I'll just leave and play a different match.
I LOVE PLAYING AGAINST HARDCORE PLAYERS WHO PLAY KILLER EVEN THOUGH THE DEVS NERF KILLERS SO BAD (AND A FAVOR SURVIVORS) AND STILL COME ON TOP!!! THEY RULE!!!!!!
So yeah I'm just playing for fun. You don't need to tell me why killers camp, I under stand that they are unplayable, and ultimately rage inducing. So really play how ever you want. Camping is just a flaw with the game and we survivors have to accept that. I have, too bad only the few like me probably play for fun.
(This is what I'm doing, no arguing on camping because neither side wins, and we have our own ways of ticking off killers we aren't all innocent)
I play for fun, and trust me it's a lot more enjoyable. Testing out random builds and seeing how far your powers can go is much more enjoyable than some number that means nothing.

I don't really care as long as it's not licensed. There's only two good licensed killers that exist in our universe and they're already in the game. (Freddy and Pig are not included)

Camping sucks, we all know this, don't bother arguing. Its lame, a wasteful match, and a pethetic way of trying save your rank. Now if you want to do it this way, its more fun and fair for both sides.
I camped only once with Wraith, but I let the hooked person get saved, and I went after the person who wasn't just on the hook.So heres a fair, fun and more efficent ways to camp.
1.
(Whatever killer your playing) after hooking the survivor, get a good little ways away, (roughly around til the hooked S. doesn't hear your heart beat) and wait, for someone to come and save the hooked one. let them save the hooked S. and then charge after the the survivor who wasn't just on the hook.reasons: you get can effectively get points from all survivors more likely saving your rank, and higher chance of just sacrificing a survivor because the same one that got saved might try to save again.
Its as simple as 123 hook, wait, chase, and repeat. If you choose to attack during a rescue....well just think about why killers could be getting nerfed.- A more tricky but fun way, is to GEN CAMP!!
you find a number of gens clusterd close together (roughly 3 or 4) and when it comes down to the last gen, you gaurd those gens and rack up those points. Survivors will have to rotate between doing gens and dodging the killer, plus if the killer is running over charge and unerving presesnse, will make it impossible. repeat this for a good bit (make sure you maxed out on points) and then slowly try to down and then hook a survivors one by one (make sure that any near by hooks haven't been saboed. maybe run hang man's trick)
I think option 2 is the best bet though, and I like killer's doing that, because then its really fun just tagging in and out on both sides.
Camping hooks is for weak players and who can't (or won't) want to try to play the game the way it was meant to be played.
Lame-Ohs.This is like those Soccer Moms that say they've found a healthier alternative to a sugary food that's "just as good," but in reality it tastes like ######### and it does your body no benefits.
Damn that's good

They don't work. It's stated on the wiki that they're faulty and do next to nothing, and I've tried them and can confirm that assessment to be true. It's really annoying considering that Leatherface already isn't that strong unless you're in specific situations.

Now, though, he'll just be deprived of his power at base without recourse.
I main Leatherface more or less (along with others) and I've NEVER touched the perk. I'm not even sure if I have it in my perk selection.

Are you serious? Nurse is not difficult to avoid. Stealth is their greatest weakness. Breaking line of sight (which is very easy due to the fatigue after EVERY BLINK) and hiding is one of the best strategies against a Nurse. Even just not being caught is easy, because they move slow which means that you can walk or crouch around an object with higher chance of successfully avoiding her, and from what I've seen they don't blink unless it's for transportation or they're after someone/suspect someone to be in a specific position like near a generator or if they saw a survivor crouching behind a tree or something. You have no idea how many games against Nurses I've gotten out of because I've stayed hidden and done gens.
She obeys enough rules of the game, just not the ones you want.

The crows can't be disturbed by regular players, but you could have a generator in the church, which upon being repaired, activated the bell tower for a few seconds and scared away the crows for the rest of the match.I love that idea! Thank you for that, That's actually genius!

I'm glad you like it!

I like the idea, especially the setting and fog, but it feels like Hillbilly with the whole dash thing, except you can't stop whenever. The audio is well done. I can only imagine the fear I might feel when working on a generator in a graveyard and turning to see a black figure floating towards me with fog all around. I have some questions about the fog. How large is it? And would you be able to hear it from a distance? Is it large enough to enter? How well can you see through it?

Fair stuff.I think if they manage to Kobe that should automatically put them on death hook status. It's absolutely ridiculous that they have a chance at getting away, you have to chase their ass back down again, hook them again, and you still have to wait a minute and a half or whatever for them to finally die.
Also, feck Unbreakable. I hate that perk too. The number of times where I've slugged 3, go after the last guy, only for a Kobe or Unbreakable to completely take that away from me is ridiculous.
Why aren't Killers told they have Unbreakable like we're told they have DS? Oh wait, we're only told if ONE guy has DS and not all of them because reasons...
lmao what
I have over 600 hours on Dead By Daylight, most likely a slight majority of that going towards survivor. Do you want to know how many times I've kobe'd in all the times I've tried? under 6. I have kobe'd less than 6 times. (I say less than six because I can't remember if it's 4 or 5.) Already the chances are so low, and having there be such a large penalty for something that's supposed to be a last resort one final chance thing is ridiculous.
If you can't chase and down someone who's injured (1 hit to down again) after a kobe or unbreakable that probably means that you don't really deserve the kills.
Killers aren't told because there's no reason to be told. Both can be countered pretty easily, especially if DS is nerfed. And you're not even told if one of them has DS, you're told if they're the obsession. Killers and survivors have perks, hell there are even some addons that inflict obsession status upon a survivor without said survivor having DS.

I can't think of anything other than this: (maybe because the fact that killers aside from the two mentioned later are so weak) Buff basically all killers except for Nurse and maybe Hillbilly. All killers should be viable in their own ways, and not require specific circumstances or situations to suddenly become viable for a match. How they would be buffed I don't know.
-
@ItsDaEmuDood said:
I just thought of an actual Wraith buff. How about....we remove the visible shimmer while the Wraith is moving invisible. Then, he fits his intended playstyle of stealth, but it's actually stealth. Removing the shimmer would give the Wraith the ability to uncloak close enough to his prey, get better use out of Windstorm, and land more Surprise Attacks. Survivors are up and running when they see the shimmer, meaning the Wraith has to either uncloak, as he has been spotted, or stay cloaked to catch up, and then potentially lose all the distance he closed by the uncloaking speed penalty. If we remove the shimmer, Survivors also have less reaction time to Lightburn Mr. Bing Bong before he uncloaks, so only those with fast enough fingers will be an actual threat. Please, devs, for the love of God look into this, and consider implementing it, as it will make the Wraith better than you think.I almost completely agree. I've been playing a lot of survivor lately and if anything the shimmer just makes him harder to spot, but once you have spotted him you can keep pretty close tabs on his movement as long as you don't lose him. Now for the almost completely part, I feel like the shimmer should be considerably reduced, but not removed. Removing it completely would take away from the lore, and give survivors another thing to complain about. I also personally feel it would be a little much, and not fun to play against since it makes stealth for survivors even less viable than it already is as there would be no way to track him without using up precious perk slots. Overall though, I like the idea.

If you're getting involved in hatch stand off you're an idiot. As a survivor if a killer is camping the hatch go do a gen. Most of the time simply failing your first skill check will bait the killer to run straight to the gen leaving the hatch.
As a killer try find the survivor not the hatch. If you arrive simultaneously just hit the survivor and start a new match.
Dont get why a fix is even needed. You’re perfectly right. If survivor is camping it, they won anyway just spank em. If killer is, do a gen and just go out the exit or bait the killer
They haven't won. I've won some hatch standoffs as Leatherface because they walked too far trying to bait me and took a chainsaw to the neck.
-
Lightborn for flashlights specifically. I love seeing their efforts be for nothing. Like, when they're injured behind a pallet I'm breaking, their survival depending on the flashlight blinding me so that they can run and/or hide but it does nothing and I hit them anyways.
-
Left Behind, Object of Obsession, Sole Survivor and I think either Self Care or Urban Evasion. It relies heavily on a bad team dying early on before 2 gens are done, but if fulfilled it means you can see the killer, the killer can't see you and you can do enough gens quick to spawn the hatch.

let me first start out by saying i don't care about your little troll posts like git gud etc. people like you are children and should just carry a portable noose around. anyways here we go :chuffed:these nerfs and reworks are just terrible and it all started when you introduced "the victory cube" for me anyway. when you were trying to change the way killers ranked up. that was a terrible idea by the way. this new emblem system is also terrible and didnt need to happen. it's seriously insanely simple to balance the ranking system. it used to be based on bloodpoint value endgame which determined if you pipped right? so if it was too easy or too hard to pip change the required bp values to pip or depip and find the sweeet spot. fixing that problem was that simple but you just ruined it with AMAZING ideas. go back to the bloodpoint pipping system. the emblems dont mean anything.......we don't collect them or gain anything from them. why make the system?
you introduce with new dlcs/perks etc all the time then shortly thereafter nerf them to hell. then when we complain you say you plan on "reworking" all this stuff you just nerfed to hell and made useless. ironically im pretty sure the clown is the only dlc killer to be immediately buffed instead of nerfed lol.
what you're doing right now with killers isn't too great either. the tinker perk idea is fine but the other perks revealing auras isn't. this is a hide and seek game. bbq and chili is barely acceptable. as a matter of fact bbq shouldnt be acceptable but if it were taken away alot of killers would quit and now we are back to the subject of giving us nice things then nerfing them to hell after we buy them. bbq was nerfed after release too. instead of giving killers more aura reading abilities you need to just flat out fix the sound in your game. you've broken the sounds from the killers perspective a million times over in almost all of your patches. you've broken survivor terror radius stuff yada yada yada. do u guys test before you release? seriously some of these broken things ARE IMMEDIATELY NOTICEABLE. if the sound wasn't so terrible in this game killers wouldn't need bbq or whispers. stridor would be meta of course but still.
killer exploits are never fixed unless its an every match sort of thing. survivor exploits are patched asap. why? because this game needs killers in order to stay alive
the self care nerf is terrible. if i lose the killer.......thats his fault and i should be able to heal myself. i've earned it. make self caring sounds louder if its such an issue. this whole resetting the heal is garbage. just remove the perk if you're going to do that. stop acting like self care is overpowered because a ton of people use comms on this game so we can either call out where we are or run bond and find someone. running bond and finding someone is almost more beneficial than actually self caring if u find someone near you fast enough. if you want to change self care. nerf it to 40 percent and see how it goes and adjust from there. stop REWORKING things that are based on a percentage/value based system. that's not the proper way of doing things.
the decisive strike nerf. terrible idea. here are some good idea. run enduring. make gens take longer. decisive strike isn't a survival perk it's a time wasting perk towards the killer. any killer who isnt a [BAD WORD] is going to follow your scratch marks after you dstrike and down you again unless you're running iron will and someone juke him in a nearby jungle gym etc. you can also make the d strike stun shorter. these ideas are better than the current rework that doesnt need to happen.
exhaustion ideas. almost a good idea but if im not in a chase my exhaustion should cooldown if im running. while in a chase and running...fine......i understand the no cooldown but if im outside of a chase and running around you shouldnt be holding my exhaustion cooldown against me. you're just being a dick now. also this idea is pretty terrible with your new random ass pallet spawning system. i can load gas heaven once and pallets will be here and the nexts they're there. amazing idea while nerfing exhaustion. thats 2 kicks in my ass. thanks.
how to counter pallet looping. you did one thing right you removed the double pallets from areas. that was good. now instead of removing a ton of pallets in spots like u did with the last patch.......you should just have either made the looping spots a shorter distance so the killer could take advantage of bloodlust better or just make bloodlust occur faster so they can catch up faster. or we could make it so breaking a pallet only drops you to bloodlust 1 until you lose the chase. so many ideas to choose but you choose an idea that gives killers an ez win.
pallet vacuum system rework. if i reach a pallet i should be able to suck myself through. not like the old system that vaccum was bigger. you didnt need to be touching the pallet with the old system you could be a few meters away and it would still vacuum you. now i cant even reach the pallet and slam it down i have to run halfway through it........or more depending how shittily the game is acting. secondly what is this ######### "twirly ballerina barbie" bullshit survivors now do when dropping a pallet..........but if im just standing there........? why?! why do they do that? it slows the pallet drop down which screws people over constantly while just standing there dropping a pallet or if theyre running through it. the amount of downs that happen because of it are bullshit. also with the killer vacuum nerf if survivors get downed on a pallet the killer should NEVER pick them up lol. congrats devs you created a stalemate.......and played yourselves.
im not going to go into killer very much because i quit putting alot of time into it after the victory cube was released. it wasnt fun anymore and these new changed aren't making it fun either due to the way you're pussifying survivors as well. i played the ptb. nothing is fun about killer anymore
go back to the patch before the killer victory cube and just try again man. adjust values on everything instead of reworking stuff by coming up with these new ideas nobody wants. you're changing a game everyone fell in love with and you're basing it on rank 20 gameplay and 13 year olds who don't know their head from their own ass. children are literally the reason why no good video games are made anymore/have a decent lifespan. look at all these mobile games or these copy and paste game or the sequels every year that are weak. stop catering to these noobs.....seriously.
i have 1.4k hours in this game so i have a pretty decent view to go off of. 1/3 or so of that is killer gameplay........but you ruined that for me so......i dont care.
As of right now i'm uninstalling this game. i've bought all of your dlcs and have spent money on your new in game currency as well. i've technically gotten my 20 dollars worth but that isn't the point. you just keep reworking things......breaking things......fixing things that break other things.......it's just a huge joke honestly. you hardly ever give a straight answer when you do your q&a's etc on twitch or youtube. you just step around the answer or say you have plans. you are seriously the nascar drivers of video game developers. i can't believe matthieu cote or however you spell it wasn't fired when he told everyone to play the other role in their game or to play civ 6 while people tuning into their stream were telling them their game was broken. when a community complains about everything you're doing wrong AND its the majority of the community you don't tell them to go play something else you [BAD WORD] fix your broken ass game.
one last thing. heres proof the devs dont know what they're doing. remember a few months back when they reworked pallet stuns/flashlight saves on killers? so you could flashlight during anytime or drop the pallet at any time and the killer would drop the survivor every single [BAD WORD] time? yea i remember that too and as a survivor.......i was shocked and dumbfounded. it floored me so badly that i played properly like before the patch. i timed the pallets and flashlights properly because i knew it was terribly unfair. these devs are just........idk man. [BAD WORD] canadians. maybe i'll check back during christmas or so but this game is catered to rank 20 noobs now. bye bye
Damn, at least put a tl;dr or something. This is way too much complaining for me to read and dedicate time to when I could be doing literally anything else.

I've been playing dead by daylight ever since it came out and after every game I always realize no matter how you play whether you be selfish or selfless the killer will still come out on top unless they're completely new to the game.
No I am not saying this because I am tilted and don't know how to play the game I am saying this because it's true.Example: A couple days ago I played the Hillbilly which I never leveled up at all and I only have one perk. four games in a row I was able to down and kill everyone in the game. One of the games the people only had a couple green and yellow perks and the rest of the three games they had three to four purple perks some even used items like purple med kit with pink add on.
I bring this example out to show that if you know how to play the game perks don't even come close to doing anything except help slightly and even then some perks are pretty overpowered. Although they are buffing the Trapper and Freddy Kruger next update with some perk reworks. Perks like the Hex:No One Escapes Death can be considered a little over powered especially since the killer can easily 1 hit down you once the exit gates are powered.
Even then that's not fully what I'm trying to say I'm just bringing to attention and hopefully get an agreement on Killers being too overpowered. Without perks it'd be very easy for the Killer to win. With perks it just makes it slightly easier.
What I can suggest though to fix this problem is some form of communication between survivors whether it be typing or voice chat. I've played with a group of 3 other friends and it does obviously increase chances of surviving by a lot but not everyone is able to play games with a full group especially when you barely have the time to talk to randoms in the lobby pre game.
I have no idea if this is serious or not and it's kind of scary. Please tell me this is some kind of sarcastic shitpost. Nobody could genuinely think this, right?

Are you aware that Doc is seriously irritating to play against? (rhetorical, that's not the question...)Not saying he is difficult to play against. I'm saying he is irritating. It's very rare to get a game against a Doc that won't feel like your doing your taxes with a pencil and paper while chewing on tinfoil.
I ask (this is the question) is there any way we can come to an agreement of how to make Doc both a better killer and less annoying to play against? I'm not trying to start a fight here I really want to make a deal because dear God, I can't take these games anymore.
Flaming toxic posts will be reported btw. You know who you are.
He's easy to counter though, and his effects don't do much. Even if they did, he has to slow down a considerable amount just to shock anyone. Without mobility he's easy to genrush. I've gone entire games in only tier 1 because he's just not difficult to avoid completely.

I like to run Agitation, Iron Grasp, Thanatophobia and Monitor and Abuse. Agitation and Iron Grasp to get them to the basement, Thanatophobia to give incentive for other survivors to save the basement hooked survivors, and Monitor and Abuse so I can lightly patrol around the basement without having the heartbeat give me away. The strategy for me is hook someone in the basement, patrol around until I see scratch marks and then trap them in. If I'm lucky then it snowballs from there.I think you left out your rank 20 status.
I'm rank 4, #########.

- I'm a fan of avant garde metal and electronic music and I personally love Porter Robinson, BT, and CelldwellerFavorite Games?
- Putting DBD aside, I've been a die hard Pokemon, Fallout, and Zombie game fan for a long time. Here's my steam: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198067715536What's with your name?
- Mine is an olden German female name while Antoiya is a bastardization of the Spanish family name Antoya. Don't ask me why I'm named like this, I personally have no clue either.Favorite foods?
- Humus is God. Vegetable Soup is awesome, Marmite is the superior toast topping, and I am addicted to Pepsi Max. I'm vegetarian as it helped keep my calorie intake in check back at the end of the High School. I don't really need it but I can't be bothered to change back. This post is quite pointless

- Saving Private Ryan always makes my testosterone filled body cry. What do you hate?
- SJW bull and things that go against science, fact, and reasonDo you have ANYTHING ELSE TO WASTE OUR TIME WITH?
- ...Flashlight buff was a inside job??...
Atleast... a PRETTY GOOD inside JOB
So what about you?I can't say for sure, but I've been listening to a lot of Nirvana lately. Before that it's been miscellaneous songs without lyrics.
Dark Souls 3, TF2.
Originally it was just Tombstone, but that name's usually taken, so I added the 218. Tombstone originally coming from the Spiderman character from when I was but a wee child.
Sushi. I. LOVE. Sushi. Especially sushi with crab in it.
For survivor it's Dwight, although I'm leveling Jake to make him my new main. For killer it was originally The Doctor, but I've played all of them a lot except for The Hag and The Pig. Now it's mainly Billy, although I also like playing Leatherface from time to time.
Any gradient of blue and purple if that counts.
I don't really understand what this question means, so I'm deciding not to answer.
I don't watch movies often, but if I had to pick it would be either Meet The Robinson's (Because I watched it a lot when I was smaller) or The Polar Express (because I like steam locomotives and Christmas)
People hating others for no good reason, especially when you don't even know the person. It's super annoying.

How long was he blocking for? And under what circumstances? Most of the match. It wasn't like a wait out borrowed time kind of block. He had crows as did some survivors. I was able to finish 3 gens solo before I realized something was fishy.
Thanks for clarifying, I was initially going to jump to "oh he was just blocking out borrowed time" (it's nothing personal, survivors are just like that sometimes) but no if they had crows then it's taking the game hostage. Although I don't know where to report it, sorry.

well then you're a weenie, that's just how the game works.

I like the idea, but the percentages worry me. 20% increased repair speed is a big number in a game like this, taking off 24 seconds of generator progress, and that's assuming it's one singular survivor with full stacks. I would go with maybe 12% at the very most, (which takes off 9.6 seconds off of repairing a generator alone if you have full stacks) but make it 4% per stack, making the perk not as powerful, but also not as difficult to utilize. Alternatively, you could make the max amount 9%, and have it be 3% per hit, (taking off 7.2 seconds off of repairing a gen alone)
Like a better Prove Thyself, or Leader. -
