As if getting ingame, unchecked and disgusting, abuse for simply playing the game is not enough? Now you want us to reveal our real names and locations to you? Think not! lmao.
I am not that stupid but i am sure you can gather up enough ignorant, millenial snowflakes to do it.

It's the face camping "get good" killers..
And the survivors that do nothing but farm the ######### outta you.. And proceed to tell you to get good.
Look at the game in whole... The whole toxic community..I mean ######### I've had SEVERAL killers tell me that they are part of a hit list and face camp certain people if they are in the lobby... Come on now...Do you play killer? Then you should know the play style of people you have played many times before. You know what they are going to do. You know they will FL and tbag given the chance. You know they are the unhookers of the game. You know you have to get rid of them first to even stand a chance. That is how tight the tolerances can be in some games. We are talking seconds or one fudgeup away from a loss. This promotes tunneling and in some cases camping. Sorry. Those are the realities of DbD for a killer.

one must camp/tunnel to rank up. just the way it is. one of a few reasons why i never will.I don't know how you're supposed to rank up while camping. Tunneling is just basic strategy. If you camp, you sacrifice basically all your map pressure.
I set up a tent for every surv from 20 to 1 pip away from rank 10. Was not too hard. Had i cared earlier and had enough time before the rank reset i would have gone higher but with far more frustration trying to swat flies off of the rotting meat that i slapped on the hook.
-
4 I have noticed since i started this game, over a year ago, that after any major patch there seems to be lobby issues for a few days that eventually get sorted.
I am pretty sure that unless people really are leaving that this will sort itself out in time.
Uh...what happ to the text? Its big and i did nothing????
The hashtag followed by the number 4 increased the text...ok
-
This is gonna get drowned in their tears. At the rate they are flowing many wont read this at all since they still too busy moaning and this post will get buried in no time.
I started as surv. I dabbled in killer in the beginning but was not good enough so switched back to surv. I stayed with surv till nearly all achievs were done and started getting hammered as i reached my limit.
Out of frustration and the fact that i instantly started getting more points i switched to killer. This was easy at first with the odd game where i got stomped. The higher i got the more frustrating it was and the worse i got as i also reached my limit there.
After millions of tbags, pallet slams, blinds, loops, BM in game and out i became toxic. I knew they hated camping and tunneling so that became my weapon of choice. Out of spite. I paid them back in spades and slowly gained some fun back. Was it right? Probably not since i conceded its not nice but i had the devs' blessing and after a million tbags, ect, i had enough. So that was it.
I have also seen the game from both sides but i mostly played killer in the latter half. Not touched survs for months.
This is an us against them game. How much toxicity goes along with that largely depends on how you are treated in the game by the opposite camp, I think. They were nasty so i vowed to get back and i did. With a vengeance. Do i need to camp in order to get kills? No. But it was more fun for me. Fun can be defined in many way.
I blame the devs for taking the fun out of my game as killer as it just got more and more frustrating the higher i went. Stomping n00bs gets old. We all started this game and got stomped right off of the bat no matter if you played killer or survs. Blame the devs. They make the game. They choose the parameters and circumstances under which we meet in the game.
Is it necessary that n00bs get stomped on right away by people that have far more skill than they do? There was a post a few days ago by either a father or a relative who wanted to get a family member involved. They lasted 6 games and uninstalled. But this is the experience for most who start the game. You either grow a thick skin and deal with it or dont.

After testing it, I find it comfortable, and forcing survivor to take risks if they want to attempt to rescue.
Picking up should have never been a downside anyway since you EARNED that down. This is what pissed me off about FL saves. I did the dance. I ran in circles and after a lot of time, sometimes, i got in two consecutive hits (sometimes even having to deal with a body blocker that tries to save the other ) only to be Fl'ed while i am in the animation lock. Seemed like a "cheap" way to deny killer his earned hook just as a DS does after tons of loops does the same thing.
For me its also a matter of an item doing the save. Not a perk. An item. As if they are not strong enough already without perks.

It was probably Adrenaline if it was when the gen popped. If you had hooked one of them before you went to find the other guy I think you coulda 4k'd from the sound of it. Lesson learned, right?ah...it was 2 slugged near the hooked guy and one at the other end. I got it wrong.
but yes the thing it taught me is that 3 slugged ( or any combi of 3 that are out of commission) and 1 running is far from winning. good game it was. more of this and less running in circles pls
-
Not really. But certain characters represent a possible play style to me more than anything else.
Kate - she is gonna be hard to chase and will have an easier time losing me
claudette - she is going to be either the super aggressive one with a flashlight or the totally passive you will never find me type who uses stealth and her camo to not get spotted
dwight - leader of the pack and equalizer
ace - jack of all trades and most likely to go for a chest right away
david - for some reason i think...DH and good at juking
nea - cocky little aggressive ######### who most likely will be rewarded with a FL in a chest and attempts to loop me to no end
jake - with toolbox then hes trouble and could go for my hooks
meg - designated hook saver or looper
bill - #########...do i really wanna do this now? This gonna be a seal team 6 squad?
laurie - dont save her for last cos you know she is carrying that knife or wil be given a flashlight
feng - ######### did she go? Better check the gens i know what that sneaky ######### can do
quentin - easy game. He is toast
david - hmmmm.......what do i do with him? No idea...better ignore him
They could all potentially have each others' perks so any one of them could take on the role of any other.
-
Yeah, i am not quite ready to change my review either. Good thing is that i am thinking about it but i am going to weather the storm first and see who is left swimming at the end. They need to crunch some numbers to see what kind of an effect this patch has on actual kill ratios. I hope they dont count DC's this time.
We may not even need the DS nerf after all.

As it is, Madness 3 should be nerfed, not made harder to escape.I've always felt madness should get totally removed the 1st time you get hooked similar to Freddy's dream state. But to compensate you'd be more susceptible to further treatment so to speak. So if for example it takes 15 seconds to get to phase 2 then the 2nd time it should be 10, 3rd time should be 5 etc. Now granted those are just numbers and I don't know the exact numbers since it varies on distance as well.
The whole mechanic needs to be reworked. Passively hitting Madness 3 over and over isn't fun, since you become a lightning rod of visibility and your interactions are shut off. It's stupendously easy to get forced into Madness 3, and then hooked, and then farmed. It's E-Z Tunnel oven, and it offers a lot of other benefits already.
It only takes one, maybe two, hit(s) of Shock Therapy and some passive Madness to reach tier 2/3 from the previous tier. It's pretty dumb how fast his focus goes. I get that he's a points-farming machine because he's stupidly easy and less nuanced than a lot of other killers, but he's single-handedly a cancer to all but the top end of survivors--and it takes all four being good and knowing how he works to do well.
I don't understand why getting hooked doesn't drop you to, at least, Madness 2. There's nothing worse than coming off of a hook, and the first thing you have to do is break Madness 3. Meanwhile, if you get healed, that's time for the Doctor to come back, and time for you to scream to give away your position, interrupt your healing, and you're still leaving a blood trail and moaning loudly. You have to stand still, your skill checks are all over the place, and with the right addons it can take a long time to get out (or fking impossible if Distressing/Unnerving). If he's using Make Your Choice, there's no way in hell anyone else will be sticking around to heal you, either.
I have enough of a healthy respect for the Doc to give him a wide berth. I play him a lot. As surv I very rarely get into tier 3 for those reasons. The games that i have managed to win against him were when we all worked as a good team and stayed the hell away from him using lockers and distance to our advantage. This was also one of the few games where doing gens together as a group can be helpful since you can power through them rather quickly.
It is in survs' mindset that you have to genrush and be very quick on the gens. You cant with him. At least i wont. Id rather prolong a game and get the hell out than be caught in tier 3 which instantly plants a huge come get me sign on your head. Tier 2 is hard enough to keep down.
Maybe this is why people do not like playing with him. He can slow down the game a bit

Yeah, she kind of is. I started playing the game just a month ago and I was content to just be a rank 20 killer and have fun learning the game and messing around. I now inadvertently pretty much am constantly ranking up and got to 15 just tonight with pretty much 4k each game. I'm queueing games with rank 10s somehow which I would think is way too high for me, given my permanent rank 20 status throughout the month and sure enough I am running into survivors that are so mean and nasty (no matter if I kill them or don't even hook a person). I am just playing to have fun and I want to be where I should be but I still want to do my best so I'm not sure what to do at this point.Anyone know if you can just turn off chat? I've tried just leaving quickly but these ######### have their nasty comments all ready to go before I can click "Leave". I don't have any desire to speak to any of them beyond a gg whether I win or lose but at this point I just want to leave instantly. I know they're just idiots and their salty comments shouldn't really get to me, but it's kind of alarming when you realize these people are either taking something so seriously you're just playing for fun, or are so intent on harassing you to tell you how bad you are that they try to friend you and send you hate mail through Steam :X.
Ahem. But yes, back to hag. I don't even have OP perks on her. I do have rank 3 ruin but the rest of my setup is rank 1 trash. They typically find and kill my totem pretty quickly anyways. I have no tracking perks, unless you count the new bitter murmur (rank 1) that I use for lack of anything better in that slot. It generally doesn't help me at all. Her far range is pretty glorious though and I love the trap setting time.
There is a little button near the chat that looks like this :">>"
Click on it. It makes the chat text bar/box slide to the right and makes it disappear completely. Never have to see anything ever again if you do this.

I'll be taking your lunch money sooner or later.I played WoW for many years and the players were never, ever, as toxic as both sides on here can be. Yes, killers too. But overall, the killers are for more civilized than the survs.

Just look at poor Snowdon, Manning and Assange. Poor bastards. Even if they did report illegal activity by means of the right channels it would have been shut down in the name of National Security. The USA loves that one excuse even in the face of being guilty as sin.

This is the dumbest response to a post i've ever seen in my life. It is not the dev's responsibility to show players how to behave. It is absolutely the responsibility of dev's to address harassment, inappropriate behavior, etc. which are direct violations of their tos. If it where not then there would be no reporting system in the first place or the option to report harassment. I also don't need to accept anything. I'm not going to comment on this reply any further cause it's just the stupidest thing i've ever read.
Why do you or your wife care what some random idiots think on the internet or in a game? Get a grip and get on with your life. It's just words. Move on.
I am not going too much into detail about how the nazi's gained power in the 1920's to 1933, since they were only words as well.
A far stretch to compare end game chat to what a bunch of lunatics did but theirs were "just words" in the beginning.

Also, i am fully aware of the Red Herring analogy. Hence my proof that Red Herrings do exist. It was not some distraction. I gained this knowledge since i have first hand experience with herrings, trout, steelheads, pacific salmon, perch, anchovies, mackerel, halibut....you get the idea, i hope.
The dev stream in question is now at least a few months old. Good luck finding it but i know i am right and others will back me on this.
I love how you say backpedal but ignore when you've ever done it. So you've enve rever said something that turned out not to be true when new information was given to you. You never ever made a homework assignment that was wrong based upon bad info. You've never done anything like that ever in your life in anything whatsoever.
Yeah the only one who just got chopped up into sushi just now ws you, what a hypocrite. If you ever admitted you made a mistake then you've obviously backpedalled using your logic so that makes you a complete and total hypocrite.
We all are wrong at times.
When i am wrong i dont fight tooth and nail over it like you do in a veiled attempt to gain the upper hand like politicians do. I did not lie. It was an honest mistake. It was not a lie. I mispoke.
I admit i make mistakes, take on board new info and then even say that i stand corrected. Then i move on. I dont go about it the way you did. Which is why you got that stinging rebuke that apparently is still getting to you long after i have forgotten about you.
Make a mistake. Admid it and move on. Dont try to fight about it like an idiot. Look at you. You are still trying it. I am not taking the bait anymore so have a nice day. You obviously have problems admitting you are wrong unlike me.

Did you read my post? I said that I get camping when it’s the toxic tbagging survivors, but when it’s a L5 Dwight who can’t hit skillchecks, why camp him?
Because SWF abuse the matchmaking and he gets stuck in with them while they are rank 3, 7 and 12. Don't believe me?
And because, like i said, i camp and and treat all equally. And who am i to know he is level 5, rank 20, when i am, at times, rank 18?

Nobody has 5k hours in this game, they idle the game to fake their hours or they hack it.
You would have had to play this game for 8hrs a day for the whole two years it was out pretty much to get those kinds of hours. No breaks, no bad feelings days. No short streams, eight hours a day for seven days a week.
Also I'm sorry but rank and hours put in only lends a certain amount of credibility to a balance argument, the same goes with the whole "I play both sides" bs.
640 odd days or so i just did the calculation but forgot already. Not that this is impossible but i think her hours are padded and she does not play 8 hours a day, on avg, for 640 days straight. No breaks if you play 8 hours a day. If she plays 12 hours a day she has no life. Heck. 8 hours a day and you have no life.
While possible, not likely. But who am i say?
-
Given a choice between getting out of the exit gates or risking my neck to lose 5k to gain 2k i would choose the exit gate. Every time.
You might as well take the hatch away at that point. Exit gates open and surv still have to do something to get out by means of hatch. And not both get out but only one. The other still has to get to the exit gate and make it out. Too much risk for me but then again i usck but i cant see people risking their neck like this with NOED running.
I cant see this working.
-
I prefer no music at all. For me the music makes it hard as surv to hear anything, does the good job of distracting and is annoying.
No music for either surv or killer would be my preference.
-
They could try this and see what it does to matches and then change things if the games tilt more to one side. Trouble is implementing too many "fixes" at any one time is hard to track or reverse. They have to evaluate data after a fix and if too many things go "live" at one time it makes it hard to isolate what fix is responsible for what.
It is far easier to do a single "fix" and then evaluate as to what an impact that had on the game overall.
I would be inclined to add your "fix" but i also thought about adding a slightly larger failed skill check penalty for those who attempted a great skill check. That would muddy the water so much you would not be able to point the reason as to what was responsible for the game leaning towards one side.
I am not responsible for the balance of this game and i would hate to be in their shoes.

Its always funny when people say "I have X amount of hours" listen to me.
In fact I know that jendenise almost exclusively plays survivor (quite regular even in SWF), so well..... I wish every streamer would play killer/survivor 50/50 and understand the game from both sidesBut, she does understand the game from both sides.
Your comment was probably sarcastic but I highly doubt she understand the game from even the Survivor perspective . Being Rank 1 doesn't autimaticaly qualify you for a DbD Dev in the Balance department especially when you are not the brightest.
I wasn't being sarcastic, no. She has played 1000's of hours as killer on stream and off, probably more than True. She has 5k hours, 3k survivor and 2k killer (roughly). True has 2k split according to him.
You can't be too bright considering what you have said, so, pot meet kettle.
Ok now I am curious, can you post a link about some recent high rank killer gameplay of jendenise? I am honestly interested in that, I have only seen her palying survivor, but that might be due to timezones
Recent? Why does it have to be recent? I mean, she's got 5k hours in the game

Here's what a quick search found on youtube -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzPRquTFmqcIf this is high rank game play then i must be a god as killer. Those surv sucked ass. I suck as surv. I mean really suck but even i am not that bad. Jump into a locker with billy that close?

There was talk of a concede button but i am sure that got kicked into the long grass. Now there is talk of closing the hatch but that also got kicked into the long grass. Honestly they should add in if a player is standing under the hook you can instantly down them or track them for 60 seconds
Uh, no. Bad idea. Much easier to smack them and this is unfair to the survs. We can block the stairs, they can block the hook. Till both are gone both stay.
If you are constantly getting body blocked then you must learn to deal with this. Equip that perk, what is it called, unrelenting, if you are that worried about not being able to smack enough out of your way.
I use agitation to get to the hook faster than they can. So many times when i pick up a surv i can hear another in the background running to the hook in vain as i am much faster.
Please don´t give tips like this. Unrelenting won´t help him, since it only helps for MISSED hits. But if 3 survivors are blocking the hook, you can hit all 3 and the survivor on your shoulder gets free. Unless you downed the survivor right next to it.
Basement blocking is NOT the same as hook blocking. How often do you encounter a killer who blocks survivors in the basement? I´ve never been blocked myself. But i had tons of times where survivors blocked the hook. Hook blocking shouldn´t be even possible, since killers can´t block the hook anymore.
I was not fully aware of the perk and should not have said that then. I assumed, wrongly, that you are able to just hit away. I dont use that perk at all and thought it recovered hitting cycles faster but i guess there are conditions attached. OK, fair enough. I stand corrected.
Good intentions but bad info.
However hitting them is one of the ways to deal with them if you combine with perk use. Seeing how i almost never have to deal with 3 BB i am not that versed in it. I run agitation 3 and almost always get the hook before they do. At most i have had to deal with two and once you smack one out the way the other gets the point or also gets a smack at which point they also run.
A combined IG and AGi is a total waste but would most defo deal with 3 BB np at all. You would get to the hook faster than they could unless they are already waiting at the hook. You could even drop the surv at the risk of them healing the downed one but wouold most likely trad eone downed one for another. Healing nerfs coming in so that might help. You could do a fake leave and turn around having the time to do so using IG.
For me though BB is not an issue at all. 1 is the norm for me with the odd 2 thrown in.

I believe that the new ranking system, in which players will be unable to de-rank past 15 should help alleviate a large amount of matchmaking issues like this in the future. Most of the time, newer players are matched against Survive With Friends groups, such as those you described, because one of the members is intentionally keeping a very low rank. However, this will be much harder to do when players cannot lose pips from 20-15.Hopefully, your niece considers giving the game another chance as it is addicting when you get into it. Perhaps ask her to play a few rounds of SWF with you, or ask her to try the game again after the Mid-Chapter patch hits so she can see if the issue is any better?
This is not going to do a thing. This is, yet another, band-aid in a growing list of band-aids that fail to address the underlying issue of game design and balance. They cant and are unable to do it. Partially due to the communities own fault.
######### about waiting times and you get shoved into a game regardless of rank after a certain amount of time.
EDIT...One issue i forgot to mention is that surfs will make sure they are at rank 20 before the patch and strive to stay as close to rank 20 as possible. The game is balanced around rank 20 i am told. So nothing will change if they never rank up beyond 15.

I don't know the full MMR for players as only the devs know but if she keeps playing she should find a equal match once she has more data for the system to work with. But i think another solution they should look at is what level all your survivors and killers are and match with players of equal.
As the player base has grown they may need to adjust the Matchmaking Rating once again.
Maybe a dev could shed some light on how the current match making works?
Current? It has not changed since i started over a year ago.
I can link posts of me complaining of the very thing when i first started. I have read many others like it. This is intended by the devs or they would have changed it by now.
5.000.000 copies sold and 30k play it at any one time.
Maybe its time for the devs to start looking at themselves and start assessing why people are not sticking around because of their failed policies, attitudes and game design.

Bought my Niece DbD as she enjoys these types of games, and has watched me play it several times.I watch her first few matches..and..she's already told me to push through a refund for the following reason:
EVERY SINGLE MATCH she was getting paired against with a full SWF hit Squad, or Rank 13-5's at [BAD WORD] rank 20 without SWF.
Seriously the [BAD WORD]? You guys just lost a player before she could even get started.
This is intended by the devs. They want killers and survs alike, to be totally and utterly humiliated the moment they step into the game. They want the rage to build up so much that you will be determined to get back and them and kill them.
You will play the game and then figure out that the killer you picked, trapper, is ######### and cant kill. So you spend money getting a different killer cos nurse is just too hard at first.
Its a tactic to get you to stay and spend money/time.
I really cant think of another reason cos the initial skill difference and rank difference in your very first game is obviously in the opposite class' favor.

I get to camp two snotty survs, on average. This is balance

But most times it is more sicne they cant resist coming for the unhook. If they ever stopped being greedy and got out i would still get two as that is balance.
I got one snotty surv on the hook.
One snotty surv.
Smack one down, treat him like a clown
And wait for the next to come around.

I played as Leatherface Grim Pantry earlier since he has BBQ 2 and my others only have tier 1Well I hooked a Meg in the basement at the start and what's the first thing I see? Another Meg and a David running around the shack. I down Meg and pick her up. David runs down and gets the save, I smack down the other Meg and hook them both. Claudette comes for a save, I down her.
David goes for the save again. Saves a Meg, the other suicides on hook. Claudette suicides on hook. I chainsaw both Meg and David down at the same time and kill them in the basement.
The David then sends me a voice message saying I'm a "stupid ass facecamper" and he recorded the match and is gonna send it to the devs and make camping illegal xD.
After I told him not to gangbang Bubba's basement hooks, he proceeds to write in all caps
"TYPICAL CAMPER NOOB
"FACECAMPER PUSSY"
"NO SKILL"
"EVERYONE CAN FACECAMP NO SKILL"TL:DR
Stop complaining and git gud. I'm not gonna run to the other side of the map so you can get your free rescues when scratchmarks and BBQ tells me you're still around.Edit: I know both sides have their entitlement. I was simply calling it out on one group of survivors I faced that day. I've dealt with plenty of entitled killers as well
This is why the report system does not work anymore. They stopped reading reports that 12 year olds write when they lose and killer does not play under their rules.
In doing that they allowed hackers to flourish and the toxicity to continue since they now take %100 of reports not serious. If they read them at all.
Moral is you get what you sow.

FixThisGame said:So far every game I've had today I have been camped one way or another, this ruins all gameplay and makes me want to not play this game anymore, so please have a solution to people who just camp me the entire game especially when im on the hook, a way you can fix this is if there is anyway to detect someone is camping you make it so neither the killer ranks up or the survivor ranks down, please consider fixing this as I know that if this carries on then it'll drive the majority of the fan base away
It'd up to the survivors to punish campers, game mechanics allow them to do that already
Just deNY him any further BP and make him depip, it's not hard at all
The game also should give killers, even those that camp, two kills on average. Regardless of whether they camp or not. Two and two is balanced they said. So even if i camp, which i do cos i hate survs now, on average i should be able to get, at least, one more kill after i camped the first.
The devs really tightened the noose around their own neck with that rule. Even campers should get two kills. Even if you do not like it. They have to balance in enough time for me to get another to camp.

Skilled survs can hit great skill checks on a regular basis. Go on youtube and check how many times they can hit them. The skill check will not be an issue for people in high ranks at all. There will be a risk but it wont stop them from risking it in the first place. Especially if the trap they found is in a really bad spot for them and seriously advantageous for the killer.
A %5 of the circle skill check will make them pause and think. That is a serious risk but not the great skill check that are on gens or the snap out of it skill check that just about everybody can hit.
If what you are saying is going live then all this will do, i think, is add a slightly longer disarm time and nothing else. It should stop a surv mid-chase from disabling a trap. We hope. But compare breaking pallet times to disarm times.
We are talking about all survivors, not only skilled ones. Disarming trap shouldn't be something THAT tough. Also, games shouldn't be made for tryhards only. They must be challenging, but not based on pure skill leaving no place for novices and their mistakes (at lease not that unforgiving). Talking about skilled survivors is like saying "Skilled Freddy could easily beat rank one top-geared team with his eyes closed". Sure he can, I don't even doubt. Heard the joke about "there always an asian who can do it better"? You don't want only SWF groups play this game, do you? At least players won't just hold mouse button for a second right behind killer's back. Also the skillcheck would be affected with Unnerving Presence as well. So this is something you CAN fail, and WOULD fail if the Killer is moving right next to you while you're disarming his trap.
Its not often i change my mind but after reading that i have. I know they deserve chances i just did not want to give them too many chances as they have enough as it is but changes are coming, i guess. We will see them when they come.

No. Lets do what he wants. This will kill the game and no killer will want to play which in turn will make survs play killer. Then they find out how ######### an experience it is and also quit.
With dropping sales and nobody playing the devs will either forced to give up or make drastic immediate changes.

So if any devs actually read this, first of all hey.Now down to buisiness, I know that the devs are currently looking at Trapper, Hag, Freddy and Wraith for buffs. This is great and my question is this: After they are all buffed, what killers are you considering focusing on next?
Now I know you have said that you are focusing right now on the aformentioned four killers, but you must at least have an idea on who you would like to look at next.
I personally, and i'm sure much of the killer community, would recommend you taking a deep look into Leatherface. This is because LF is, in a word, awful. His ability sucks and is super clunky, his add-ons are mostly useless and just copy Hillbilly and he has kind of become a meme in that he is just the ultimate camping killer.
LF is another topic for himself though, I am just really curious what the plan is for more killer buffs if you would be inclined to tell us.
Thank you!
LF doesn't need anything. The one who needs buffs is Freddy.
Tbh, with freddy, you can at least make a couple of plays. There is nothing you can do with leatherface right now except for camping. There is no such thing as good LF because his ability doesn't need any kind of skill or usage. He is too simple to use so they can't even make him stronger. They need to rework his ability so that he will be more difficult to use and when used properly, he should be deadly not 'memely'
Actually, this is the problem with this game's killers. They are so [BAD WORD] simple to use. There is a difference between a good nurse and a bad nurse. There is no difference between a good LF and a bad LF. Everything that you can say about LF is general and comes to one's knowledge about the game. Zubat can play leatherface better than me not because he is actually good at LF but he knows the game and plays the game accordingly.
Edit; Killers must be able to show their skill when they are playing their killers. Nurse, huntress or hillbilly players can show their skill but since killers like LF are so simple, nobody can show their skill. If leatherface comes across with good survivors he is doomed to lose the match.
Once LFs' chainsaw is activated try weaving through tree's without hitting anything. Sure, it takes less skill to play LF than Nurse but LF is harder to play than trapper.
Trapper is just a mindless zombie and relies more or less on the RNG of traps unless you carry three traps and can trap a whole section of the map at once. Does placing traps on the off chance that they run into them take skill? Its just a mind game that does not even work half the time.
Survs are able to walk around traps even when placed in between two haybales or in narrow hallways. This is with placing the trap dead smack in the middle of the path. A bigger trap trigger area is needed, among other things.
I have no idea what you are talking about tbh. I literally said that since killers like LF are so simple, nobody can show their skill. Key word here is the killer(s). This includes killers like trapper, wraith etc. I still think that the trapper is better than LF though. It is not that difficult to wave your chainsaw around a tree. You don't even need to do that because if survivors stop running around you will chainsaw them so they need to keep running. Just turn around and make them run into your chainsaw not that difficult.
And this is where we disagree. You think LF is easy. Fine. I dont think so and disagree. Like i said. I think LF is easier than nurse but harder than trapper. You disagree. fine.
It takes far more skill, i think, to use a charged chainsaw on an active target that runs through the woods who actively and purposely runs next to items so you stun yourself than placing traps at some random location in the hopes that your herding skills will trap them.
Trapper is far too RNG based for me. Trapper takes either rng trap placement or place them and herd them. Then you hope they run into them.
You did understand me obviously. You disagreed with what i said and are still saying that LF takes no skill whereas i disagreed and said why i think so.
EDIT... a bad LF will hit stuff and stun himself all the time. A good one will down you. That is the skill difference.
I have already said that trapper needs more complicated gameplay as well. The thing you don't understand is that trapper is not created for skilled players. It is not his job. His job is to place traps and close some of the spots and then he can force survivors to go those areas and stuff like that. Trapper and hag are for area controlling. You have to sacrifice 2 or 3 generators and place your traps around the pallets and windows where the last 4 or 5 generators are.
Leatherface on the other hand is created for chasing and downing survivors like hillbilly and nurse and he needs his ability to be more complicated so that there will be a difference between a good LF and a bad one. Tbh, saying that it takes skill to not run into objects is not a good defense. Then it also takes skill to hit survivors with your m1 if the survivor 360 you. Then trapper requires skill to play as well.
Their game play style completely different and you try to compare them with each other which is a mistake. If you can play the trapper you have way more chance to win than LF.
Once again. I disagree with your last sentence and so does my gameplay score when i compare the two killers. I get more BP, kills, hits and do generally better with LF than i do with trapper. I am just talking about my score here. I am sure there are others who can wreck with the trapper on a regular basis. I can do well with him but not as good as i do with LF. I consider the ability to down survs with his chainsaw not some mindless no-skill event. On open maps when they cant run it sure is easier but most maps have lots of areas where you can bump into things.
I think most killers would rate LF higher than the trapper. I think most killers would also agree that LF takes more skill than the trapper. LF is consistently rated higher than the trapper in all the threads i have read that tried to compare killers.
But to get back to the skill level needed i just disagree with you so i think we should leave it at that.
Wont see you in the fog my friend. Dont play. On a strike. Have been for a month now. Awaiting changes. If not happy another 3 month wait if not longer. Waiting for some changes and not just proposals that are being talked about in a dev stream.

Mhm thats only a guess, but I know as fact that in loading screen theres given away information about the upcoming match. Thats how survivors can know which killer you play before they are even in the game.Maybe the loading screen tipps showed sth about lightborn because you used it? I really dont know, just guessing^^
I could be wrong but i think the killer being shown to survs is only for new people who have not faced that particular killer before and even then they only get the message a certain amount of times. It was not intended to be a permanent reminder of who they face.
-
All it does is keep me close to the hook. If i see two purple luck offerings i am not going anywhere once i get you cos i know what you intend to do. Get chests. Not.
-
I read this (wrongly) from a killers' perspective but realized that we are already given this info in the form of not visible survs if they are too close to the hook. Count the visible ones and subtract from who is still alive. That will give you the number of survs who are near the hook but invisible.
What i failed to read was that the surv wants to see an indication in their HUD not only informing him of the fact that i have BBQ but also the number of survs who are near the hook without having bond. Cheeky......
-
But then again he is the host. You want them to have a delay based on your ping so you both get to move at the same time?
This could be abused. Albeit not much but abuse it is. Surv with obsession lag switches and freezes killer till surv releases lag switch. At the same time all other survs get a massive jump start on gens.
Just more crap to code.

1. Survivors who can get to an open hatch auto-escape. No more standoffs!
2. However, killers can close the hatch if they get there first. This permanently removes that hatch from play.
3. Closing the hatch reveals the aura of the survivor for a few seconds. Killer is now on the way!
4. Entity spawns a new open hatch somewhere on the map 20 seconds later. Survivor has a new chance at escape again.
5. Rinse and repeat until Survivor escapes or Killer downs and hooks survivor per usual.Problem solved and end game play much improved.
I have to say i like this. Neither has a true advantage. I am sick of the standoff. I have done a few and been stuborn cos they were little [really bad word].
This will still req both parties to know where the hatch is to start with. Then both parties have to get there. If surv gets there first its no change from the game as it is now.
If killer gets there he closes it and gets a mini BBQ aura. But not too long that it makes the surv not even be able to escape. Then both have to find the hatch. Killer has to make a choice then. Go for surv who might be there or go for hatch. Its no real automatic win for either.
One of the better hatch stand off solutions i have read. This would be acceptable to me.

Many of them still spawn in the open with no cover, next to a generator or on top of a mountainThats my fav as surv. You can see that ######### from a mile away. Why is placing them on a hill even a thing. Oh, yeah. So it can be destroyed. Sure, but within 30 seconds?
On the other hand a really well placed one has thrown far too many games in the killers' favor with possibly one or maybe two gens getting done before we are dead.
i guess you win some and lose some. As killer i gave up on ruin. It got spotted too many times for me to run it and since i am not in the game to get rank one id rather use something else.

Missing the skillcheck will trigger beartrap instantly (this could be another animation with your hands being trapped).
In other words, when you attempt to disarm a bear trap... you'll have to succeed a easy skill check. Failing the skill check will trap the survivor's hand and dealing one health state worth of damage. I agree with this change, but I'll make it even better for you! In the PTB and soon live, the disarm time will be 2.5 seconds (I think so don't quote me). When the survivor finishes the 2.5 second disarm time, that survivor will get a easy skill check to see if the survivor disarms it or gets trapped. The bloody coil should reduce success zones and cause a instant down if they fail the disarm skill check.

I would like to see this. Will be good for some laughs for sure.
Under one condition. They are to play at home using their home machines so they get at least a little bit of lag unlike at the office where the machines are all hooked up to each other and next to no lag.
