  • 1. Insta downs get you once, after that you can stay injured and have DH.

    2. There are always windows, and by the time every pallet is gone all the gens are probably done anyway. You use DH for distance and helps through the whole match.

    3. If injured you can DH to the nearest pallet/window, although unless it's an indoor map you arent really going to get stealthed on. This issue you say applies to all exhaustion but SB.

Side notes: you can DH all ranged attacks, normal attacks, towards certain killer powers, over bear traps, through shocks, victor pounces, can be used multiple time per trial per survivor etc.

  • About time! someone else who isnt completely mad lol

I'm not sure why so many people dont get it

  • Oh you spoke bad about survivor.

Quick call him a killer main!

    KILLER MAIN!

You so bad, baby killer, bait it out, DH is fine.

I cant wait to hear the tears when it gets a nerf, these forums will be funny af. Who knows I might actually play killer

You seem to care so much about stats, like the ones you made up on the other thread, but proof of those stats? Nowhere to be seen.

I have 5,338 hours currently in game, more than half of those are solo Q. I like to believe I am above average when it comes to being skillful. And no, solo Q is not fine.

I'm sorry that you feel so threatened that solo Q might get a few buffs like it needs, because it will make you get less free 4ks as killer.

Stats are cool... yeah yeah I get it you want every single person to stream live gameplay across a long period of time so you can say I have proof and even then you just say "you derank of stream" it's a pathetic circle but the stats wasnt made up. If you really think Escaping 3 times dying once and then on the odd time Escaping twice and dying is so unrealistic then I'm not sure what to tell you.

Yet another person assuming I'm a killer main when killers lucky to get played. I get you're a survivor main and want more buffs but you didnt even try have a discussion. Yet again how does making perks base kit stop salty players quitting? Or farming challenges? Oh it doesnt.

You're just a bad survivor main who wants more free info and perks, you cant even admit DH is too strong and you think its completely fine. Some of us want a better balance game.

  • @ThanksForDaily said:

Not the killers mains saying that solo is fine...

Okay, I'll take your word lmao 😭

Yeah these comments are the annoying ones. God forbid I say something is strong or okay for survivor I must be a killer main oh jeez...

No. I play far more survivor, it's sad the devs dont allowed stats to be tracked so comments like this can just be shut down.

That last picture is hilarious. Might actually be one of the best DBD memes I have seen.

Would of been better if giddeon was there as a 4th lol

    What was your build?

Are we on about in general or for that game with the screenshotted perks?

  • @Irisora said:

The problem is the MMR. Its trash and non existent, the day the devs do a proper MM soloQ will be more tolerable. Its the only reason why its so miserable most of the times.

Do you mean an mmr based on more skillful actions? Like chases or stuff that happen in the match over just escapes?

  • Depends, sometimes the killer understands I did a great chase while my teammate was hiding (especially when it's 2v1 near the end) but honestly it's rare I'm given a free escape but I escape enough anyway.

As killer I always let the last get gate and dont slug for the 4. Unless you BM during the match of course

  • @Clevite said:

Agreed, solo q is fine when you have teammates of equal skill level that are committed to seeing the game through to the end.

But, due to the reasons you name, this is obviously not always the case. The games with competent teammates are night and day to the ones without.

So do you agree we should try find fixes for those issues instead of just slapping on built in perks/info for the sake of it?

  • @DoritoHead said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2896744#Comment_2896744

Because adding built-in perks or other benefits to solo queue can help make up for the dice roll of getting good or bad teammates.

So you're saying solos need built in perks etc to buff them for reasons that arent tied to perks?

How is built in perks gonna stop DCs or help with that? This is what I mean that doesnt make sense, you're just making survivors that dont DC stronger for no reasons.

Do you get where I'm coming from? Like yes those issues are real, but built in perks dont stop them existing

you're basically saying anything you disagree with is a lie

No, I'm saying I suspect you're lying about numbers to fit an agenda.

And yes I dont believe solo Q needs a buff

Well, at least you admit to that.

And no every time I make a post that isnt your experience you try belittle it.

I have no clue again what you're blabbering about. I don't follow you around on the forum. I referenced you in this thread because you literally made similar claims in another thread recently. Maybe don't spam the same suspicious argument in instances so close together and I wouldn't have noticed.

None of your comments have ever added to the posts you just call people liars or assume.

    Never happened. Strawmen again.

Seems like you didnt want to discuss this topic like I offered, this is why I say your comments on my posts dont add nothing to the discussion because when given the option to discuss you dont but you happily call me a liar?

I have no secret agenda and I dont lie, all my posts have been consistent and I actually have posts asking for the game to track stats and allow us to link our accounts so you can see the facts. Also if you truly believe 3E-1D and 2E-2D every so often is so unbelievable I dunno what to tell you... theres nothing I can do to change your mind.

At least I admit that? This post was pretty clear and I have older posts stating that I dont, you act like I'm hiding stuff when iv been straight forward with every single post...

And I'm allowed to create multiple topics, the forums are to discuss and share experiences and I'm doing that. This post was because so many people say solo Q sucks and I highlighted why that is.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/318621/whats-high-mmr-killer-like

Those builds don’t justify the skill of the survivors using them though. Are those survivors skilled and knowledgeable enough to greed pallets, body block, combo gyms and pallets together etc cause those things are more annoying then those builds imo.

I dunno the perks are definitely annoying if you arent a strong antiloop killer and I do agree perks dont show alot it's not as common to see this every game verse new or more casual players, the old rank system proved that.

But combining perks with what you said causes a nasty game for killer for sure, although I would say DH is the worst one

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Vsing meta perks doesn't mean that it's high mmr. All of the meta perks aside from DS are base game perks. Also, in this screen shot, 3 map offerings were used, which implies it's solo queue, and solo queue doesn't seem likely to get to high mmr.

You can be high mmr as a solo? I'm not sure why you think otherwise. Considering theres a soft cap and all you have to do is escape you can easily reach that cap as a solo (obviously you still need to be good but its easily possible)

    @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2896776#Comment_2896776

Is it not hidden though? What are we basing the assumption on?

Iv never quite got this argument, while its hidden we do know the requirements. If you escape far more than you die or if you 2,3,4k far more than 1-0k you're likely high mmr. I'd say easily "winning" 60% of matches consistently you reach the cap in time

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Man luckily we can complain about players using Metaperks now with MMR. As opposed to the time before MMR where players used Metaperks.

Just wasnt as common or repetitive every match. Sure they used meta perks but it wasnt always so stacked or every match.

Even when you sat at iri 1 you had a mix of perks and you get the odd game where there wasnt as many and then even rank reset mixed it up. This is fat more common

I'm not questioning the difference of your experience. I'm questioning its authenticity. Starting with your highly suspicious claim of having an escape rate in soloq of 72.5% 142/200.

Twisting and lying to suit a narrative is exactly what I suspect you're doing, specifically to argue against any sort of soloq buffs.

And I don't even know what you're blabbering about being a meme, let alone always. You should rather focus on yourself resorting to that kind of strawmen, which ironically highlights your attempt to weasel out of debating that you subcounsciously projected on me instead.

Tell you what though I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I'll ignore all your comments on my posts belittling them and I'll discuss this topic with you which is the actual point of discussions.

What is the issue with solo Q? You cant use the examples I listed, what else makes solo Q bad? And how would you change it to fix the issue you find with solo Q.

I'm off to get some sleep, I assume your reply would be matchmaking. Which I have also stated in my posts escapes is a terrible balance point, and usually people claim they have bad players because of the reasons I listed in the OP. I'll see and reply to your part of the discussion when I get free time tomorrow.

You never answered my question though, so many people including in this post truly believe solo Q is weak and not because of the reasons I said yet they dont give any other reason...

Yes the things I listed are issues and you're right no buffs or nerfs can fix that, yet why are SO many people asking for solo buffs? Built in perks etc.?

All I said is those issues need to be fixed and not buffing solo and I get people meme or call me a killer main lol

Exactly, to be perfectly honest, with how bad survivors are... I genuinely understand the crowd that believes the game is killer sided. You get 2 or 3 of those bozos on your team and even the most inept killers are going to get you. There are people who play this game as a job and I would hate to have them as teammates. And naturally they are the ones complaining about their teammates because they somehow lack a basic understanding even after 2k hours and a heavy survivor bias to boot.

I would hate to say it, but all the killer nerfs are almost justified when you consider the average skill of the average player. It is unfortunate that good players have the deck stacked against them, but dare I say it is a necessary evil for a functional game.

Being honest though, most people just hate on those players that dont do anything and tend to hide. I'm not sure what you can do to encourage that... it's like people farming or quitting, they just do it regardless but that dont mean a solo player is bad.

  • @Bwsted said:

You're really pushing too hard on this narrative. It was debatable in the first thread, but now you're overplaying your hand.

Yeah god forbid someone has a different opinion or experience to you. Sorry I wont lie and twist things to suit a single side.

  • @Shroompy said:

"If you really believe you need to be in communication to play well solo Q isnt the issue.. its you."

I'm actually having more fun playing solo recently than Survive With Friends, I don't know why and can't explain it (Maybe it's the fact I've been getting really good teammates recently and killers who don't just face-camp the first guy to death and then give up after when they've realized they blew the entire game to do that.)

Could be a range of things from your friends mmr, their servers, time etc.

Personally I like solo as I feel the experience is more random and a surprise, like my team running different perks, seeing a range of killers etc.

I feel it feels more sweaty in a group, people making callous etc. Plus depending on your friends some can complain alot, I dont have time for that lol

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2896596#Comment_2896596

Hours mean very little, you are right but i never saw good survivors with 200 hours (if they are not snurfing or second account etc.). I am not blaming them ofcourse, they are new at game. Problem is matchmaking.

This is reason i am playing killer more but is killer better? Hell no, it is sweat fest.

I dunno it's rare I get low hour survivors unless iv waited 10mins for a queue. I dont mind killer most of the time, unless it was those tests and then my queues and experience was so horrible I'd uninstall before playing that again, even survivor was bland during the tests

  • @DoritoHead said:

So what you're saying is solo queue is fine if you exclude all of its problems?

    Gee, who knew?

So why do people talk about buffing solo Q and completely ignore these issues and jump straight to built in perks and coms then?

  • @TragicSolitude said:

all buffing solos will do in worsen the balance

It's hard to balance the game when SWF teams have a whole crapton of information that solo queue doesn't get without sacrificing perk slots. How do you balance killers around that?

In general, yes, the problem with solo queue isn't necessarily a lack of info, it's getting stuck with teammates who don't know what they're doing or just don't care. It'd be great if MMR worked and put me with people who took even an ounce of aggro instead of hiding and then dying on their first hook because they let everyone else die first. Instead, I'm just... not playing right now. That's the only solution available to me, because MMR has been too busted to work around despite months of trying.

Solo queue would be fine if it weren't for the teammates. I'm hoping for bots in the future, personally.

I completely agree, I dont do swf much and whenever I do it's a duo and the difference is insane even if your swf isnt all strong players.

I was someone who wanted an action debuff to swf, even a small % depending on the size but apparently that's not fair and punishes people playing with friends even if theure getting extra advantages.

(I just dont think people want balance, I feel they play one side and hate on the other)

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2896578#Comment_2896578

I am 2000 hours players. I am facing with +1000 hours killers (This fair because i should not face with new players). But i have 100 - 200 hours survivors. This is not happening every time but it is not rare either.

And i don't except escape every game, i don't mind it actually. But i should have chance at least.

Hours mean very little, while it's a rough idea sadly it's all not that accurate. While I'm pretty sure you're a decent survivor (I know you're more casual which is fine, I know I'm not) but I have a friend with 4k hours, hes horrendous as survivor 😂 I avoid playing with him on DBD lol (because hes bad and unfair for the killers)

But the game requires weaker players, whether they're 500hr or 2k hours, if everyone is good the killer has no real chance

  • @ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

SoloQ is almost perfectly fine if Survivors just knew how to play, yes

That's not a solo issue that's a player issue... buffing solos isnt suddenly going to make them better at chases. Edit: for example making them see perks/icons of other players wont change that

    @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

If MMR works and makes me team with good mates, yeah solo-q is fine.

But when i play with baby team against full meta-killers, no it is not good. It's just pain.

Sounds like your expecting to escape too much, I'm sure your team isnt that far off your own skill every game.

What makes them a baby team exactly? Because I know you find perks like tinkerer too strong so it cant be that, is it their chases? Because alot can affect that and dont necessarily make them babys

Reported the scoundrel postgame, but sadly I don't record all my matches so I don't think anything can be done about it. At least I was able to give the killer a kill out of all of this. I wonder how many of my 'so...how exactly did I lose that?' games looked like this from the other side.

I mean...what do you do when you find yourself in a super-boon?

So yeah. I guess my instincts when playing killer are correct. See a VAC ban? Dodge that lobby.

Oh - and what was most concerning about this - postgame, the other survivors (who weren't in a party with the cheater from what I could tell) were basically 'shhh, why are you complaining? Just take the win. Snitches get stitches' and all that.

EDIT: Is this why it's so hard to catch cheaters? They don't do anything too weird from the killer's POV, and the other survivors just enjoy the free win.

Man, that game legitimately depressed me.

Posted about this multiple times, I dont get why a system cant track someone using more than 4 perks... seems abit stupid to me

  • @Nos37 said:

I'm not a Dead Hard main (I have a different build on each of my survivors, but only two of them use Dead Hard).

Dead Hard mains, would you trade the distance aspect of Dead Hard for the injured requirement being removed?

Can you get free distance to make the loop you greeded? No.

Can you tank a hit while Exposed? Yes.

Just the ability to not take damage alone for the duration makes the perk good. The distance is just overkill and hurts the weaker killers.

DH doesnt really need extra effects to make it still viable, while you suggestion isnt a bad one it still doesnt need it (maybe an extra second of iframes)

  • 3k.

Simple as that. 2k is considered a good match in their balance, if 2k makes you increase in MMR then a 3k should give the adept. It also stop that damn annoying slug for the 4...

Side note: EMBLEMS SHOULD JUST BE EASIER IN GENERAL. Emblems arent used for balance, we dont need strict emblems like 9hooks for an iri etc. Its only to get extra BP so I dont get why theyre so strict still

  • "Farm stacks and die" maybe your team heard you and was like "I ain't getting farmed" lol.

Like I said people's entitlement is ridiculous as survivor. People quitting over certain killers or a fast down... this isnt a solo Q issue this is a player issue and they wont stop unless they're punished more for it.

Edit: you must be low mmr or people are deranking

  • Yes, but not above 150ms. As an off peak player this would really help me find games and likely better matched ones.

  • Or as everyone tells you on the forums dont try or go for kills so you can derank...

Because we dont balance for good players

  • Yeah I wish killer emblems got changed, not only for the adepts which are hard even more so with shared mmr but just the fact killer is so much harder than survivor.

Nearly every survivor game is a pip if not a double while killer struggles to be a pip especially against high mmr survivors. Killer has far too many negative actions held against you

I saw no real big difference during all these test.

Only more games with total beginners who got wiped out immediately.

Well I'm quite a stand alone it appears on the forums or alot are lying to try twist the outcome.

But I am a players who plays off peak so its naturally a smaller player pool and usually filled with players who have lots of free time to play.

I definitely had a difference, never had weak teammates so if I versed a killer who wasnt blight or nurse they got very few hooks. Same as if I played a killer who wasnt as strong as blight

  • Every killer should be hard/very hard. Killer just in general is hard unless you're low mmr lol.

But yeah these rankings are weird, they always have been

  • @D3spair said:

I think SBMM Right now is soooo much better than what we have usually. This is coming from a guy that doesn't camp, Uses Add Ones and Tunnels. I also consider 8 Hooks a win for me though so my matches are me just trying to get 8 Hooks(no Kills) and then just play or have fun with survivors(ie. Farms or be a friendly Killer).

At the start it was still the same usual sweat lords with Purple Medkits, Boons and power of friendship. After like 5 Matches of 6-8 Hooks with no Kills, I'm having more fun in DBD since SEPTEMBER 2021.

Sooo BHVR Keep this SBMM system please.

Edit: Not gonna lie though I had like 80% Kill Rate across all Killers pre SBMM. That may be the cause why after September is was non stop SWF with the best crap vs me Some Killer with no Slowdowns or Addons, just want to have fun.

Theres no new test on though? We're currently on the original old SBMM...

But I prefer this mmr than the tests they did, during those tests my survivor games become really easy but also so very limited in the killers I versed and killer was an awful experience.

Also lobbies got even longer in off peak times so that's a negative as well for me

Have been playing a fair bit more survivor recently. While I think there would at least be a loose consensus on the killers people dread seeing, which ones make you happy to see?

    For me:

Demo. Rare, tend to be pretty mannered. Plus, every Demo feels different - from the 'battle demo' types to the ones that ping pong all over the map. Strong enough to be interesting, but not overwhelming.

Cenobite. Was a little bit more common for a while after the voice release, but somewhat rare again now. Really different to face. As long as people aren't pooping the sheets while carrying the box, he's rather fun.

Artist. Basically ditto Cenobite. Fun back and forth.

Ghostface. Memelord supremes. Seldom a dull killer to face, loses a few points because a lot of them like to camp.

Tbh all but trapper, if I could verse a range of killers or a different killer each match I'd actually have so much fun and enjoy it alot!

Sadly I mostly see nurse and blight which get repetitive... I just dislike trapper lol

If you read the original post it was never aimed at just dcs, the photo of dcs was in regards to it being unplayable, as that was within the first minute of the game. The wait to get into a lobby, pick perks/adding, loading into the game and then have 2 survivors dc is pretty standard really and I was highlighting the fact.

Ive since switched to killer and honestly the game is less sweaty and I’m enjoying it so far, I recommend it to anyone having issues.

If the devs have acknowledged there are issues and are actively working on it in solo q that’s fine with me.

I disagree to some extent, solo q does have issues, if you play swf you’ll less likely get dcs as you can’t play next game with your friends, you’re also less likely to show the killer your friends location in swf and will most likely have perks attached to benefit each other which you can communicate in chat during lobby, e.g less likely to get 2 players using prove thy self and one player can equip a more useful perk.

Sure though, outside of that it is a player issue, I’m not sure what the devs have in store or if mmr can fix it but I presume it’ll help hopefully hah

So what you're saying is swf is strong because your friend wont DC and you know their perks...

So as a solo if you could see your teams perks it would be completely fine?

You cant link DC with solo Q bad, no buff they do will stop players rage quitting. See other players perks before game is okay suggestion but not what they're doing.

    @ItsJesseFFS said:

people say too many times that killer is stressful

to me personally, survivor is stressful, where killer feels comparatively relaxing

Depends on when you play and what mmr you play at, if you play high mmr off peak like me survivor is very easy and chill and killer is an awful experience unlike if you was to play low mmr killer peak time it will be more chill

I just tried a game and this was one I jumped into… 2 dcs, I honestly think it’s broken at the moment, but hopefully they do fix it like most here have said, it’s definitely broken, if the devs are looking into it I have faith they’ll sort the issues

You cant say solo Q is bad because of DCs, while its frustrating and annoying (for everyone who dont DC) it's not solo Q but the entitlement that's the issue. Bans either need to be harsher or put quitters together.

Iv had alot of DCs over my years of playing this game but as someone who solos nearly all the time its really not bad at all, dont forget were also in mmr testing alot of the days.

Playing solo has never been the issue, the real issue is people dont do their objectives, they dc or they farm tome challenges... none is a solo issue but a player issue.

  • Well your example isnt true, if it was kill rates would be fat higher and people would get tome challenges such as escape with 0 perks or even adepts done.

Also not the killers fault someone DCs, and quite often the person who quits is near the killers mmr just they didnt like how fast they went down.

Mmr is a problem, it's a system based on kills and escapes and neither show the real skill of the player especially the escape part.

Sounds like you have a bit of entitlement expecting the killer to play by your rules and what you deem fair, while I personally do try to play fair if I notice the people I verse arent so strong but a killer can lose to bad players by playing "fair" so it's not really fair.

People who quit dont care about BP, they dont care about the other players either and the only real way to punish it is longer bans or put them in the salt mines where quitters are matched with quitters

    That's an L

    No theres no L ;)

  • I assume you're referring to the grades still being hidden?

Tbh they have probably done this because they're tired of people complaining they're going against people who arent their grade. (I'm only silver 2 why do I verse iri 1 etc. As an example)

  • He needs the treatment alot of killers need and have where their basekit is improved and those addons changed/nerfed.

For example the best addons are the purple chilli and green engravings(is that the right name? The increase speed one). If we was to add some of chillies effect base and change the purple addon would be a good start

Funny enough my latency to the West coast NA is around 120 or so, and my ping to EU is 130. I wish there was an option but I suppose it's too technical for the game to read whether or not I have a steady, stable ping to those servers or not. I mean an influx of people entering into the EU queues is just going to make their queues worse

Well the devs know which servers are close to your location so they could simply have an option you can tick to expand to other servers (so your not picking specific servers but are allowing the option to connect to others)

And not really, at off peak time I can easily wait 5-10mins sometimes. Even if we just say 5mins if we make the mmr strict that 5 will be increased.

This is why I feel extra servers to connect to would help, especially people who play off peak hours. It adds more players to the pool for faster and more accurate matches. I'd happily play at 100odd ping to get faster and better matched lobbies

So you feel the game being unbalanced instead of skill differences, is the issue.

Let me get you to clarify. If the game is unbalanced, what level of play is it unbalanced at. Is it all levels of play? The top 5% levels of play? Is it only when someone plays Circle of Healing and Dead Hard?

It's not about what level exactly it's more about tiles, tile layouts/how they group together. Safe pallets etc.

Basic attack killers versing safe/god pallets isnt a good experience. But the game definitely goes gets more unbalanced the higher you go, that's just because of the level at which they balance for.

But COH and DH definitely hurt alot of killers, every extended chase has a big impact and infinite fast heals sure is an issue for alot of killers.

Theres alot that could be changed to make the game more fair at all levels, but my biggest issue personally is the limited servers and me playing off peak time (and DH distance)

Just breaking everything down, it looks like matchmaking is the biggest issue.

    1. Skill levels difference - 7 votes
    2. Face-camping, because it's boring
    3. Indoor Maps
    4. Toxcity on endgame chat
    5. Dead Hard
    6. CoH destroying Hit and Run Strategy (This seems like it will be fixed in the next patch)

Skill difference isnt the issue, it's more of the fact beating those people in a 4v1 isn't reasonable especially when you get higher (DH&COH actually makes this worse)

But like I said in my comment if the devs make the mmr strict and take longer to find games then I wont get to play. I already wait 5-10mins for a few hours of my time so if that increases I doubt I'll bother playing.

No point playing if your games are over faster than your queues and arent even fun in general
