i shouldn’t have to break 8 different doors just so I don’t get my face caved in by 5 infinite loops... how is that fair? All that map is, is literal god loops unless I break a basically pre dropped pallet...
I don't think the breakable walls are a good idea in most cases. They're kind of difficult to get right and can really irritate people when they're done wrong. Like on the saloon or silent hill map.

You commented on a post without reading it, don't try to deny it. You said "i worry if you were to see the mori what you would do" on a post that states I've been playing for at least 2 years in the second sentence.
I skimmed it. I'm not going to read your entire rant about plague and vomiting.

So i need help/ a ruling on the perk :power struggle.
So here is the example i just faced. two survivors left, with both of them down and near by exit gate at 99%. I hooked and killed one. I came back to the second one to see they crawled to a near by pallet and are waiting there. I assume that the reason they would do this was because the have power struggle ready. So I have the choice of waiting for 3 mins for them to bleed out, or eat the pallet stun and let them escape. Now that power struggle is a thing, i know its toxic to make them bleed out, but is it bannable, when now its part of the game?
BTW I did end up picking the player up, and yes she did have it, and yes she did escaped...
is forcing them to bleed out bannable? I'd say probably not but it is kinda toxic.
Is them going under a pallet with power struggle bannable? Not in anyway. In order for them to be able to get under a pallet and use power struggle when you pick them up requires a ton of things along with the flip flop perk from ash. It's very rare to do that unless your whole build is about doing it that.

I would prefer more graphic adjusting options to be honest. A general selection of low, medium, high, and ultra plus a resolution slider aren't very good graphics options.
-
Don't forget monthly rank rewards! though i do think they would have to increase the reset range to really add those in.

less popular = less outfits i suppose. It's sad because i do like them both and they could have some more really nice outfits.

I'm rude? No you are in fact rude, you commented on my post without reading it, I'd say that's pretty rude. I said in the second sentence of my post that I've been playing the game for at least 2 years, so thanks for the concern but I've seen all the mori's I know all the perks, red rank both sides etc, so please save your worrying for someone else.
i mean i've been playing for 4+ years so what? i was saying you're being rude to the guy responding to your post by belittling it.

But what about adam? He gets next to nothing all the time. Poor guy will probably have less outfits than elodie soon.

LOL, you mean black incense the ultra rare? Litteraly the strongest addon in the game right next to Iri head hatchets for Huntress. Someone even upvoted your comment YIKES, it's not like that addon needs to be changed anyway. Well it wasn't the first reply but it was the second (not including mine), close enough.
That's a pretty rude way of responding to someone just telling you there's an add-on for people puking. Is the puking really that unsettling for you? i mean i worry if you were to see the mori what you would do.

The grind isn't as long as it was before they added the ability to get up to 2 perks a blood web, though with each new chapter adding 3 more perks it is getting back to that same spot it once was in. it usually takes me around 6 mil blood points (when at lvl 50) to gain all survivor perks. Probably more last time i did it for a survivor was when felix came out.
I feel that the grind for all perks on a single survivor/killer isn't the issue as i did max 3 different characters (p3 all perks) during this rift and still am 2 levels short of finishing my rift which i've done every archive challenge for.

People would not DC in the first place had this game been a little more fair for survivors. Not every team of 4 is 100% all the time productive and communicating. Even the best get beat 50% of the time. The ones that aren’t get beat 100% of the time. This game is balanced around communicating teams so the killer has been buffed like crazy. They need to tone the killer down a bit.
I'm pretty sure most people would disagree. Killer is the lesser role in most cases. There are very few killers that are the top role in a match and even then its iffy. The game is not balanced around swf it's balanced in favor of survivors currently. That's why theres a huge lack in killers queuing.

This time for a console it's actually CONFIRMED to eventually be coming to. Crossprogression released not long after dbd on Stadia. I want to know when crossprogression is coming to Nintendo Switch though. We keep hearing "It's on the way" but that's not good enough. We heard the same thing about mori/key changes and Freddy to switch. No warning and it just happened (except for key changes which are still "on the way"). Can we get anything? Seriously, ANYTHING? I'm kind of tired of being in the dark, especially about something I really really want. Even if it's like "It'll probably be here during or prior to Summer of 2021" that's still better than "It's on the way".
i'd take a guess that the key update will happen for the midchapter patch, as for crossprogression I believe its mostly a thing with sony and microsoft taking forever to allow it.
-
I mean they can have it but i really only expect to see whining and the occasional gg. Mostly whining and such though. That's usually what happens whenever you can communicate with people you're versing..
-
I only spectate when i play with friends or if the games almost over. idk with queue times what they are and console players making up 60-70% if the survivors i get paired with i don't really have a reason to stay around to say gg as they can't see it.

Aiming at someone with deathslinger using iri coin, missing them hitting a full health lori at max spear distance and reeling her in for the instadown. Was a super surprising shot.

Gave up on survivor challenges because queue takes longer than the actual game
It took me a total of around 3-4 hours to do all the killer challenges on tier 4 of the tome. It has taken me i believe 12 hours so far for survivor challenges and i have 1 challenge left. This is mostly due to queue times.
-
i don't think the dc penalty is a bad thing. Without it way more dcs would happen because nothing is stopping them. Rage quitting is not a valid excuse i don't care what anyone says. People that think it's bad are the people who are dcing because they're against a killer they don't like or they got found first or the survivors are looping them too well. Get over it and play the game, you know what you're signing up for why press the ready button.

How would snapping out of it cause you to go down? You mean while you were getting chased and tried to vault or throw a pallet, the prompt had precedence over the action? Perhaps you mean the random scream prevented you from doing any actions, or you were unable to mend your deep wounds due to Snapping out have priority?
If it is any one of those, that's just the way madness 3 works. The only one that is kinda annoying is the deep wounds interaction, which I believe is unintended.
The deep wounds interaction is intended to give doctor a little bit of an edge over people using perks that give endurance such as borrowed time.

Whenever I’m killer the players can be across platforms and will coordinate. They’ll execute everything perfectly, DH every time, do altruistic wacky saves, and land flashlights from afar every time. If they’re downed under a pallet someone zips across the whole map to slam it the moment you pick up. If I camp they gen rush. Them moment I walk away they save and two gens go off. I see this regardless of rank, and everything. Within maybe the first 2 minutes of every match as killer.
Then I play solo survivor... They act like lemmings and potatoes. They basement save without Borrowed Time. They get caught immediately after getting hit the first time. They run in to rescue, and all get slugged. They miss flashlights. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
Where are these bozos when I’m killer and want EZ BPs. Seriously. Lol
I have the opposite issue (though it may be because i've played killer a lot). Almost every killer match i'll get between a 2-4k, usually a 3k with a hatch escape at red ranks. I never have issues but mostly because i counter a lot of stuff people try to do to troll and exploit there mistakes harshly.
Though on survivor i get the absolute worst potatoes of the bunch at red ranks. They get scared whenever the heartbeat starts, point save without BT, follow me when i save them wanting me to heal them. The list could go on and on but meh. not sure the issue but it doesn't make sense.

Let me elaborate a little more, I'm picturing bigger pools such as people level 0-500, 501-1000 and so on...not exact equals
so people who have over 1000 collective levels must wait forever for a match? Any way you put the idea of devotion factored into matchmaking isn't worth adding. It's easily exploitable with alt accounts or friends with low devotion level. You can't say "oh you've played for x amount of time so you play with others with x amount of time!" That's a really bad way to do matchmaking as simply playing the game gives you devotion. Not just for one role or the other.
-
You know it's probably good that you're uninstalling if people playing with friends has upset you this gravely.
-
my queue times when i play survivor are 5-10 minutes. my queue times as killer are less than 10 seconds. This would worsen queue times which are already bad as is. I also don't have any issue when i play killer with people i'm matched with even at red ranks. But survivor is really random. sometimes i get people who actually play, most of the time i get people who are too scared to touch a generator.
I also only solo queue so yea queue times for survivor especially are garbage anymore.
-
@Dpooly said:
Because devotion level is a more accurate measurement of your game knowledge...it's way too easy to rank up just being a potato. Getting matches with people that share the roughly the same amount of play time would be way better than what we have now.
it's not more accurate. it's just play time based which is how rank is now but worse as it doesn't reset. Sure you'll know what to do more but doesn't mean you're good at it. I also would prefer not to wait extra time for games. I don't think you realize how bad queue times are currently and how this would worsen it.

A Doctor my first game who camped and tunneled while using undying+ruin and a mori. Back to ds and bt for me I guess don't wanna deal with camping and tunneling.
I don't think you can really complain about moris anymore... you're basically dead if they're getting used.
-
@Dpooly said:
Is it possible to incorporate this? I think it would help get more even matches, especially with how flawed the emblem system is and with the monthly rank resets as well.
Why would you want that? The rank system as is doesn't work at all and they're working on something for matchmaking but it'll never be perfect. The issue is here would people rather play the game or wait an extra 5-10 minutes to get a game that is "balanced" on paper.
-
@Wesker09 said:
Why do y'all hate doing gens? People complain so much about gen rushing yet when I play solo queue no one but me wants to do gens so why do y'all hate doing the objective so much?
That really depends who you get matched with. Some of them get scared at the smallest thing like you running past or the terror radius is just barely starting for them. Others will stick on generators and not get off till the killer is basically right next to them then get back on immediately if the killer goes away. Then you have people doing challenges which most challenges require you to do something else and not just generators.

Devs expect you to no life this game to complete the rift. No respect for your time.
sure does feel like that. a 70 tier rift SHOULD take 70ish hours but it actually takes well over 100 hours to complete. I enjoy the game and such but i don't really think playing that much is really worth the skins they have on the pass.
-
I don't really get how the twins made it through and they never thought people would abuse the camp ability with them. I don't think it's too fun to play as them, and its not fun playing against them.
-
This game isn't very optimized on pc and i doubt they will give older consoles any love since the new gen just came out.
-
I don't find the rift challenges hard in any sense but grinding the rift fragments i don't earn is tedious. Takes well over 100 hours to fully complete it with doing all challenges.
-
Emblems shouldn't be thought about to a high regard in any way unless you're going for achievements. I would like increases to gains on pretty much all survivor point score events as the appeal to play survivor these days is not really there. killer score events are find for the most part save a few devious/brutality score events on certain killers.

Wrong.
If you can stalk a guy enough to 99% and pop It right when you're in his face he goes down.
If you play the way you described you'll hit that guy and he'll just get a speed boost and will make It to a loop, now you are left with a killer that has 0 chase potential.
+ Why would you use stealth mid chase when you can moonwalk?
i'm not saying thats how i play ghostface i'm just saying how i have seen others play him. i usually just expose people for the insta down mostly because i use him to farm bloodpoints. I still have gateaus on him from a year ago when he was released.

But Killer mains have been saying the same thing for a while now about playing against survivors with the same 4 meta perks.
I main killer and i have next to no issue with meta perks when going against survivors. I have more issues when i do play survivor with my team mates acting like potatoes than with what the killer is using.

He's supposed to be stealthy but on most maps (aside from a couple indoor ones like Midwhich, Hawkins, Lerys and the Game). the way you have to play him like everyone knows exactly what you're doing... because they can see you from 30 miles away.
It's funny how the make or break of the one of the stealth killers isn't whether they see you, but whether you can avoid being broken out of stealth and landing stalks while they're trying to look at you.
The way he is meant to be played which is marking people isn't the most efficient way. It's more sneaking up with no terror radius to hit them and using the ability to mindgame.

Go play against broken SWF at high ranks when they has power struggle, flip flop and unbreakable and you will find out. Have fun while you can.
I mean i've played plenty of killer at red ranks and survivors still do the typical stupid survivor things they do at yellow rank. Even SWF who are trying to bully me get 2-4k. Killer just seems to require you to constantly be trying and paying full attention where as survivor is mostly more relaxed unless you're in a chase or last minute saves.

Used to be, I could De-pip/De-rank to the more comfortable ranks playing killer as long as I had my Mori's. I could 3k the survivors after 1 hook each, and let the 4th get the hatch, and at red ranks that was frowned upon and rewarded with a de-pip. Say what you want, but at least by playing this way I earned decent BP and by de-pipping, gained what i was truly after: the fun ranks of DbD. I'm not talking "fun" as in "easy", I'm talking "fun" in that its no longer a sweaty slog-fest against team after team of DbD's most competitive players and SWF groups. Alas... those days are over now that mori's always guarantee a black pip at the minimum.
So, unlike the Pussy tactics described by OP, and without resorting to truly Pathetic and Cowardly DC'ing, I've taken it upon myself to embrace the losing/meme builds and have fun with trying to beat survivors with them, until I de-pip to where I want to be. I'm talking "Burger King Myers", "3 Iri-Hatchet Limit Huntress", "1 Blink Nurse". "No insta down Bubba/Billy", "Scrapped Tape/Sniper Doc" and my favorite so far "Stereotypical Gamer Blight". These builds up the ante on the difficulty for the killers, and are fun as hell to play. They reward decent BP while have little success, and every game actually won with them feels well earned.
I take umbrage to your comment that killers like me are "depipping Cowards too afraid to face their own ranks." and ask you... If you play at the top ranks of this game, do you actually never feel frustrated or burned out by it?
As for Killer mains Like myself, Use these builds, have fun, and only get serious when you feel comfortable. This is a game, and you still have control over how and when you rank up.
i've literally tried most of these at red ranks and still safety pipped consistently. i don't know if i'm just getting super bad survivors or not but 90% of the survivors i go against as killer in red ranks aren't exactly hard to kill.

"I feel forced to bring BT cause the killer camps all the time"
"I feel forced to bring unbreakable cause killers slugs all the time"
"Every killer brings undying+ruin, nerf this it has no counter"
Meanwhile, you have up to 5-6 perks and an item that can help you counter it. If this combo is so strong and you see it every game, why are you not doing anything about it? Didn't you guys know perks like distortion, off the record, small game, detective hunch existed or what? If you refuse to adapt to the meta then don't complain, it's that easy
It's not exactly the meta that is the problem it's the survivors you get paired with that don't understand how to deal with it that is. No one will say that though cause it's too easy to complain about perks being used. It is a little dull though playing against the same perk every game the same way it is playing against the same killer.
-
pips don't really matter anymore as matchmaking seems to be just whoever is on you're put with. I'd assume they do it just to grind the rift/shards easily.
-
i mean it's possible but i don't think likely. Why would a hacker give you a boost? It doesn't appear super fast could be a bug with clown or a perk or something. it's hard to really tell but usually hackers are the ones doing the speed stuff.
-
I don't think they can do anything about it unless you own the game through somewhere other than steam. I remember before the had their systems backing up profile saves, a tuesday steam update reset my progress completely. Lost a ton of p3s and add-ons i had saved up back then.
-
I'm gonna state the big issue i have with dead by daylights battle pass. The grind is absolutely horrendous compared to any other battle pass i've done (r6s, apex). I've completed every dbd rift and all the r6s passes since they started them and good lord the grind is 3-4 times longer comparing the two. I believe the last rift i played between 120-170 hours in dbd to finish it, this is with doing all challenges in archives.
i do enjoy the game but i've burnt myself out of the game so much grinding the rift. I have currently around 10 tiers left to do and i'm in the same burnt out stage. I have only my tier 4 survivor challenges left which the wait time for survivor matches is sometimes longer than the actual match goes on for.
Either way i believe something with it needs to be revised and looked at whether its challenges awarding rift fragments, fragments requiring less xp to earn, or more fragments being able to be earned from the archives. The free 20 fragments and extension were nice though to help cushion the grind THIS pass.
-
its because plunderers increases purple and iridescent item chances by a ton. Basically you're guaranteed a purple or higher 80% of the time. Since keys are purple and iridescent its not uncommon to pull at minimum 1 key every match you run plunderers.
-
beast of prey is bad? i use it all the time for the extra 50% hunter score and the slight mind game it adds when bloodlust activates.
-
Feels like events are declining sadly and rift is taking the place. I don't like the idea of having to wait till summer to see if they actually deliver on the promise of working on halloween and anniversary events.

-
well the thing is theres 4 survivors and 1 killer so odds are you're more likely to have a toxic survivor than a toxic killer.
-
killers could be using lightborn
-
Legendary skins would be worth the price IF they changed the killers special ability or mori or something, but they do not so i don't feel they're worth it.
Set skins make sense for some reasons like an outfit having higher or lower pants/shirts than normal and it makes it look great, or connected head gear to the outfit. Set skins allow for better outfits overall but less ability to customize them but i do agree some pieces shouldn't be linked to the set like weapons, some hairstyles, maybe pants if it's a outfit where only the top and head piece need to be linked.

@StibbityStabbity said:
Apparently, at one point, they actually DID have an anti-camping mechanic in the game. The hook timer stopped if the Killer remained too close to the hooked Survivor. Survivors abused this mechanic mercilessly by forcing chases around the hook. As such, the mechanic was removed.
The point being that the game is, well, a game. It's run by a computer that can't look at a scenario and go "Well, that's clearly the intent here". If they could do that, maybe Windows wouldn't want to update at the worst possible times. Mechanics have set rules, and humans can analyze those rules to abuse or exploit them.
I am all for adding a mechanics that would punish camping and tunneling, so long as they aren't easily abused. If a new mechanic is implemented, it needs to more or less initially assume innocence, not guilt. If innocent Killers get penalized, it's not a good mechanic.
I don't remember this being implemented at all. I've played since the game came out and this was never added or if it was it was immediately removed. The thing they changed to help with facecamping was unhook angles as you used to only be able to unhook from the way the hook was facing. They also increased the time on hook from 45 to 60 seconds per stage a while ago to also combat that. There is a perk that stops hook timer but no one uses it because it's not always relevant.
-
if they're not hurt it depends on the situation, if they are hurt it's easier to just m1 them down. Sloppy butcher only works with m1 hits not chainsaw hits too so that could also be why.
