I don't think it's unjustified to say Xeno is a little oppressive. I've played tons of games as and against more against because that's all anyone is playing. There doesn't need to be a massive nerf to him just a little adjustment somewhere whether it's tail CD on misses or something else small.
-
I played a ton of SM and Singularity releases and from experience i seen some skull merchants and almost no singularities on day of their releases. Alien, however, i've had probably 90% of games and i don't dislike playing against it. Solid killer for the most part not game breaking like nurse or blight but definitely up there near wesker, and huntress.
-
I am at 9/50, got a few on alien though i don't think the survivors were carrying a turret. I think the best bet is either wesker or singularity if you want to get the achievement fast. Unless only basic attacks count for it.
-
A thought i have always had was instead of generators on every map maybe a map or killer specific thing that works like the generators but isn't generators.
-
Killer - The games have been good for the most part, ran into a long streak of sweaty swf running 3-4 bnps or 3-4 flashlights or last minute swapping.
Survivor - Solo - Alright i guess, maybe a 30% escape rate.
SWF - Fairly similar to solo but with more oppressive, sweaty killers who have something rude to say in end game chat.
-
Idk about burnt out but their have been tons of sweaty SWF and killer influx as of recent, probably because the event is ending and people won't be burning the terrormisu's as often or they want to stockpile them.

I could gotten two 3K:s but I checked the points and still would not get 2 pips those games so it was right choise to let them escape to not increase my mmr. All games I played fair but the last one I really didn't have chance defended gens chased different people but just got 5 hooks and when I tried to finish one off during endgame I got bodyblocked so hard.
MMR is so minimum if you want to pip i wouldn't worry about killing 3-4 people a game. don't limit your kills that will reduce your ability to get pips, i.e. more people = faster gens = less gatekeeper emblem. Also you get less progress on devout and malicious as survivors healing removes your malicious progress. And with chaser being kind of finicky the best way to pip is to 3-4k without letting all gens get finished.
-
There has been a lot of bully squads the past few days. I've noticed quite a few SWF last minute swapping or using 3-4 BNPS, 3-4 flash lights all running meta builds etc.
-
MMR doesn't work most of the time and by only killing 2 you're probably hindering your pips. Also it's just a matter of playing better i guess, more hooks and less campy more gen pressure, etc. Easiest way would probably be to run exposed perks for the extra stopping power.
-
The perk really hinders the 110 speed killers, I find it's almost more useful to run than an exhaust perk when playing survivor. The speed helps you break LoS faster and if done on certain loops, extends them by a lot. I have also seen the perk being used by 2-3 survivors a game as killer.
-
A better test would be how long it takes a killer to hit you when running in a straight line while injured. I would say it's probably a second or 2 longer compared to without MFT.
-

Is there something special for doing so? or just "look at me points"
I only play 3 killers really, and 1 surv and i've got nothing to unlock except for addons so not sure on the why.
bragging rights and endless lvl 50 bloodwebs.
-
I had a similar issue with this, idk what made it work i just kept the challenge on and then one game i realized "oh hey these aren't my perks" and finished the challenge.
-
I've seen him once today, i've seen clown 4 times (3 in a row at one point).
-
Not a massive fan of singularity still, he feels rather bland to play and i don't feel the extra effort of trying super hard is worth it where i could play nurse or huntress even with a lot less effort and have the same if not better results.
-
proxy camping, apparently playing trickster is a sin also that was something i get heat for. Typically it's the people being sore losers/winners though just being rude.
-
Have been seeing a lot of hope, MTF, and self-aware recently. Also been seeing very toxic players on both sides, i.e. had multiple killers face camp/tunnel and a survivor even killed me on my first hook today by spamming unhook and stopping before it went through so no one else could save me.
-
Probably because survivor gets 4 different items.

Try unequipping all your perks before hand.
I have, i just end up with no perks.
-
I am having similar issues, tried multiple killers with/without perks.
-
I mean i can't even do the random perk challenges (it won't give me random perks at all).
-
Typically the matches on fair maps are my favorite. I believe maps are cause for a lot of frustration with loops/LOS blockers or lack of pallets/windows for survivors. for example most of my coal tower matches are pretty fun, while most of my corn matches as killer or midwich as survivor are horrid.
-
A loss is pretty much 1 kill and 3 escapes for killer, 2 kills 2 escapes is a tie, 3+ kills is a win. That's how i view it anyway if talking the actual "winning" terms. Some people are just happy to get a lot of Bloodpoints which is also a win, depends how you view things.
-
The killer is kind of trash unless you run some disgusting exposed perks for 2-3 of your perks. Then again if you use those on any other killer they'll be miles better.
-
is the random perk challenge not working? i've had no luck getting it to work, i've tried taking all perks off and having my actual loadout on and it just is not changing the perks at all.
-
Quite literally what happens almost anytime you infect someone with a pod.

He is bit difficult to play I will give you that but not terrible I think.
He's frustrating to play in general, terrible because you almost never are able to use your power. I can't agree that it is "difficult" when you are a glorified M1 killer with cameras with how often EMPs are produced and used, not to mention how clunky it is to look through your pods at times.
-
He's terrible and frustrating to play. That's probably why no one is playing him.

I can see that, but why not play any other killer that can 1v1 better then?
I might be high, but Skull Merchant's kit is way better that Singularity right now.
clowns kit is way better right now..

@Brimp said:
I mean even with the stronger EMPS in the PTB he was still oppressive and I played in a custom with people that actually felt like playing. It's just his most effective playstyle is chasing with overclock rather than setting up multiple cams around the map but might have changed with the EMP changes. I still think you shouldn't be able to run while charging and emp and go from there.
overclocked lasts like 2 seconds and to even infect them you have to hit them with a camera first and it absolutely sucks to try to do and when you do they instantly emp or someone runs up and does it
-
What you wanted to use your power? playing with this killer the teleport seems almost useless and near impossible to actually have active as you have to stick people with your cameras first which they'll just emp it off so you have to do it again. It feels so clunky to play and the overclock feels like it does nothing other than tank pallets sometime.
-
Because losing is a hard thing for some people to deal with. There's also frustrating things to deal with sometimes such as killers being looped forever or survivors being tunneled/camped. These are just some examples but it's not an excuse.
-
Pipping in Iridescent ranks requires an amazing game. You can escape and have done 3-4 gens and still only safety pip because you were not chased enough.
-
if you use the Iri queen it counts as 2 progress for the 48 meter shock, they just have to run into each other far from you. It works best when hooking someone after a shock and just going as far away as possible.
-
From experience on both sides, i don't think it affects the high skill survivors much. I think it's more affected the average to above average skilled survivors. I think the game is definitely hitting a weird spot where solo survivor/less skilled/new players are getting destroyed and the higher skilled players are kind of shrugging off the nerfs.

It seems kind of silly that *the only counter-move* in that situation as killer would be considered "toxic." In fact, I'd argue that when we've gotten to the point when we, as the killer, are to deliberately give the game away despite fully understanding what the survivor is going to try to do and yet we are still expected to abide by this, then the whole non-toxic courtesy thing is just replacing any semblance of gamesmanship we have left.
There's not being a jerk, and then there's basically playing down to your opponent. I find it odd that we have to question this at all in a game that's theme is essentially a gamified horror movie.
What can you expect? People wonder why survivor lobbies are long most of the time but still are saying survivor is weaker than killer.

Matchmaking is just broken, always has and always will be. BHVR will never figure it out.
It wasn't always broken. It used to work better when the reset would actually reset you past 1 color rank. Now if you make it to red rank then you're in red rank to stay because depipping is harder than safety pipping.

If this is how it's "supposed to be" then it's ridiculous. He was about 10 meters away and still heard me? While I was sneaking, not leaving any blood trails, no aura, no grunts? And he was even in a chase while I was healing up the tractor, yet he still heard me and made a beeline for me.
That's completely absurd and ridiculous.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1831671#Comment_1831671
If he heard me in the grass (there was no grass) why would he lie about the breathing? Still there was no grass and I was in the tractor healing, he came by chasing a Nea when I was about 70% done healing and he still broke chase with Nea to head straight at me. He heard me and he was pretty far away. Think I'm in the middle of the tractor top and he wasn't hugging the bales or the railing on the side. If a killer can hear your breathin from that distance no wonder stealth doesn't work.
probably heard you healing. You can hear healing noises from a long way away.
-
Because if you sprint at all your character takes a few seconds to catch their breath. It doesn't happen all the time that you'll find someone because of breathing. Must have had a really good headset.

Cool explanibrag
How is that a brag? it's not hard to get blood points when you run beast of prey and distressing.
-
That's because points aren't related to pipping. It's very easy to get 26k+ bloodpoints as killer and not pip. I do it all the time with oni.
-
I have no idea what they did to flashlights. They feel awful now and make a really odd noise when you're blinding the killer.

It just makes me so angry when dull totems are ignored when we now have Undying in the game. So apparently even NOED and Undying isn’t enough to get many survivors doing totems unless they’re running Inner Strength.
I don't understand it. I've found hex totems next to generators that are almost done and the person will be repairing the generator on the side right next to the totem. I've had so many matches recently where no one will do gens or cleanse the ruin and only 2 generators will get done because i did them.

I didnt want to leave and look for hatch cause there was a chance she had unbreakable, and the second i made enough space she could have got herself up and left through exit. like in that situation unbreakable yelds the same result, i come to pick her up, she gets uo once i walk near.. throws pallet, stuns me and runs away
fair point. I would have just left them there then.

"predator 2.0" this is the kind of person I'm talking to...well I'm bored, if you won't read my post then I'm done replying to you.
"leave a trail of slime". I'm not belittling you in anyway, you're belittling anyone who either states that there is an add-on for why people puke, or disagree with you.

I’m really sick of the lack of grey matter between survivors heads since the introduction of Undying.
Here’s a typical summary of how dumbly frustrating a lot of my matches are since Undying:
- Test first gen to see if Ruin is in play. See how I and the other survivors go in doing repairs, and how well the killer can pressure gens before determining if Ruin is too much of a nuisance, and needs to be deliberately searched for.
- Expect that Undying is most likely being used, cleanse dull totems as I go until finding a hex to reduce number of hex transfers.
- Cleanse first hex I see. Yep, Ruin is still up, most likely because of Undying.
- Continue to search and cleanse until I know from the count in my head that we are down to only 1 (or 2 totems left).
- FIND A HEXED TOTEM IN PLAIN SIGHT, RIGHT NEXT TO/NEAR A COMPLETED GENERATOR!!!
So this was a dull totem the other survivors totally ignored, thus allowed an additional transfer of a hex because of Undying, thus contributing overall to additional wasted time.
Please, Zombie Jesus, stop ignoring dull totems when a hex is up!!! Until a hex is found cleanse the damn dull totems. That way at the very LEAST, if Undying isn’t found first, hex transfers are either LIMITED or DON’T OCCUR AT ALL!!!
Gonna say this, I did my cleanse 20 totem challenge last night in 4 matches. For whatever reason absolutely no one wants to touch totems anymore.

yes. but once the end game timer starts and they sit under the pallet instead of crawling to the exit... im kind of saying its their choice now that they wana wait for the bleed out. IMO balls in their court and im not holding the game hostage if i wait for them to leave the pallet
if it was the last survivor you could close the hatch instead of opening the gate then pick them up. since they can't really leave through the hatch unless they have a key.

"skimmed it" Nice once, skimmed it but missed the second sentence, how about the part after "To summarize my point:" did you skim that part to?
Who actually likes listening to survivors throw up? I can't imagine anyone liking it, why defend the guy trying to dump on my idea by defending the black incense addon of all things? I came up with a viable idea on how to remove the throw up sounds without changing the Plagues power level, why don't you make a reply about that instead?
The "throw up" sound is used as a noise indicator to give away position. Much like pigs reverse beartrap, and being injured in general. Being sick makes them throw up and make more noise. I don't really think plague should get predator 2.0 for having made someone sick.

you know i completely forgot about this, and i dont think i ever have a killer. this is probably the solution i needed.
They would bleed out before the collapse timer killed them. Bleed out time is 3 mins base i believe and collapse is 2 mins but if someone is downed/hooked it goes 50% slower.
