It's time to show your actual skill now. Killers were said the same thing when ruin was nerfed
Oh yeah just 360 the killer in a dead zone for 2 minutes. Ez pz, git gud if you can't 4head!

HAHAHAHA

I hate to break it to ya', but the number of pallets has not changed (except for Distrubed Ward, where the Aslyum now has 2 pallets instead of 4).
Bug then? Wouldn't suprise me.

Its a way to make survivor rank more hard as killers.
U can rank up to easy as survivor. This won't change it. And new rank reset is making everyone stay high rank. Red ranks will still be majority of potatoes and with these changes its just hurting solos again
-
Now, I was THE ONE survivor in solo Q Team who was really careful with pallets. I threw down average 2 pallets per game. Why? Because I HAD TO be very efficient with them. My mates are usually straight up trash and burn down 5 pallets in under 1 minute, otherwise they die instantly.
Now, with only 7 pallets per map... Yeah gg devs, rip solo Q. Game is dead for me. I was already burned out. But I'm not even considering to come back anymore after these PTB reports of the community. U messed up.

OG Mori's let u Mori without having to have had hooked a survivor. MEANING game starts down survivor then mori.
again Mori's where alrdy nerf'd leave them alone
It's not about how often something got nerfed but how much and how it is after the nerf.

Just give everyone 1 token for each player level. This token can be used to purchase a killer for one match with his 3 individual perks. With that the player can test the killer and his perks at once.

"the static blast was added because many complained about his 'no effort tracking ability'"
Actually, this update was not "because many complained". The design team didn't feel Static Field being passive was as interesting in terms of interactions. The Blast is now more of a choice for the Doc. 60 seconds is an eternity in DbD. In the average match, he can use it 10 times. Once it's gone off, you have some idea how long it will be before it's used again. Got a Doc who Blasts after every hook to find his next target? Jump in a locker when someone is being carried.
Overall it's healthier for gameplay.
Can you guys remove the screen flickering pls? This is so damn annoying.
-
Funny how devs ignore those important posts but contribute into a lot of nonsense posts.
-
@Peanits what's up with these settings lately? Can we finally turn it on/off in the settings like nearly every other game?
-
Devotion 7. Asking for a refund now. It's like ordering a pizza, eating nearly everything but one bite left and asking to not pay.
-
It's always the same with bhvr. They don't listen and change for a long time. And then they do multiple changes at once

While it is true that repairing different Gens is always faster, the most complains about this forum were
"I lost two Gens early" ("even if I still win the game, this is not ok!!!111")
And this gets addressed with that.
Maybe just me, but I think losing THREE gens after 1st chase is more crucial than losing 2 gens
-
@Rin_is_my_waifu said:
They use words and phrases like "this killer takes no skill", "braindead killer", "boring", "annoying" etc to refer to killers who can't be bullied or looped for 5 gens.
On the contrary, DS, BT and survivor in general require a lot more skill according to them
Or maybe, JUST MAYBE, behind survivor players are actually sitting normal human beings and the word "boring" literally just means boring? The majority of survivors is not just there hunting killers to bully

Rarely on Killers, a few more times on Survivors. I appreciate to find some old players still playing around, and quite a few of them play in some creative ways. It's more rare now that there are a lot of cosmetics around to choose tho'.
It's rare because of 2 reasons:
- A LOT lost their save files with the cosmetics and BHVR NEVER gave it back
- Old-school players moved on to something else.
The argument that it's not seen because of new cosmetics is pretty low imo. Those I know and have legacy and still play are all still using the legacy outfits 99% of the time. It's no doubt the most wanted cosmetic in the game, everyone knows. We always see the "give legacy for new players" posts with huge arguments.
-
Same, flashlights are very hard to grind for me. Takes me 10+ Bloodwebs to get a green one, 20+ for a purple one. And oh man, batteries. This stuff is handled like ultra rare in my Bloodwebs, takes forever to grind them
-
So, why are you crying again? I see a 4 men swf stomp with one red rank opponent and nearly maxed BP.
Do you want survivors to stand still and give you the kills without effort next time?

Lithe is trash.

March 2019 they were planning on all consoles running DbD at 60fps as discussed in this dev update.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/49456/optimization-status-update-road-to-60fps/
A year later and they don’t talk about it, we don’t know if it’s still planned and being worked on or if they have given up and abandoned the plan because it’s as impossible to achieve as it sounds.
I have tried to bring it up in dev Q and A threads as well as comments like this but have never received any dev comments with an update on the so called ‘Road to 60fps’.
Console has had no noticeable QoL improvements and in some instances (maps/killers) it can run worse.
On PS4 UK survivor queue times are very long waits whilst killer queue times are instant because it’s a generally unpleasant experience playing one side of the game.
That sucks.
Well, no money from me then lol
-
Hell no, that would be really stupid and frustrating.
-
@Volfawott said:
You would have to be careful with giving him wind up.
Unlike Huntress he cannot down a survivor without hitting them so even if you do get spared you still have a chance to break it and not get downed.
Now with a wind-up this could lead to people very easily getting behind cover or an object
It wouldn't be long like huntress, half a second would be enough to give survivors some time react.
-
No, dc penalty just moves the problem of rage quitting somewhere else -> hook suiciding or going afk
-
@Peanits said:
Including queue times which were long at times, I played about 3-4 hours per day ~3 days per week. I finished a few days ago with some challenges leftover.
Where is the promised "1 hour per day is enough to finish the Rift"? It's grindy as hell
-
One thing people don't realize is that most of rage quits are not because of entitlement but because of massive dogshit, bugs and glitches. This game is a frustration by itself without even toxic opponents.
-

When i get gen rushed i just go chill in the basment and watch youtube and let them escape if survivoes wanna gen rush just let them go back to there 20 minute q times and honestly it makes me feel wayyy less frustrated if i just let them leave instead of tryharding
You act as if survivors genrush on purpose.. Like, there isnt much else to do. Yeah maybe totems, maybe chests... But that's it. Back then when flashlights where viable survivors were running behind the killer to get FL saves. Now it's just a massive waste of time and it's just better to sit on gens.
These changes (flashlight, healing etc) are just forcing survivors to be more and more optimal on gens
-
To help some baby's catching survivors at loops without using red glow mindgames lol.
Devs probably just wanted this to be good looking without knowing the balance side of it.

That one works against solos and unorganized swf. Optimal SWF know how to beat ya.
No not really, works for me everytime if they decide to drop pallets instant.

Hi, I mainly play KILLER, but dabble with Survivor on a 70-30 basis.
I occasionally come up against the Deathslinger and just have my ass handed to me as soon as we meet, but I keep seeing threads saying that he's weak and needs buffs???
Level with me here, #########? What am I supposed to do?
Keep it real guys!
Deathslinger is one of the strongest gest 1v1 killers. Someone with good aim (and crosshair) will "noscope" quick shot you as soon as the opportunity is there. Seriously, there is no reaction time for the survivor. You can only hope that his aim is off.
I think he is absolutly fine where he is. More buffs will make him just very frustating to go against, frustating like going against spirit I guess.

Well noticed my dudes. That's his main problem. There are enough of tgose pallets on most maps for 110%.
The trick is not to follow just one survivor around the whole map and break 20 pallets. Follow him for 2-3 pallets, maybe 4 if he instant drops them... Then go back controlling the gens and keep them away. In 2 minutes the map has so many deadzones that you can M1 snowball them
-
@Duskk said:
Definitely, I agree he’s an absolute blast to play and is really good at ending chases, stopping loops that any other killer would get screwed by, and closing distances. I just wish he had something to help with his lack of map pressure.
Yeah but that's an issue with every killer without much map mobility, especially 110% movement killers. Large maps always hurr
-
@NursesBootie said:
What does he do, when the survivor drops the pallet on a long loop?
If the survivor drops it without looping it once it's a free pallet, I take that any day. If he tries to loop it's a free shot.
-
Tony who?
-
Are you a wrist or arm aimer? If wirst: one hand flick should make you turn 360 degree. If full arm: one movement from left to right of your mousepad should make you turn 360+ degree.
From there work around your comfort zone, that's the basic of fps games imo

I can half understand why people do that but me personally even in EGC I'll hook and walk off to check the exits(if there are other survivors in the game) or if they appeared on BBQ I will head to them. I don't need a kill so desperately that I will hover around a hook. So what if they escape? It doesn't have an impact on my real life in any way. It is just a game.
I only do that if I'm Billy or everyone injured. I don't just let survivors free escape for no reason. That's just my competetive nature I guess.

These addons are supposed to remove the medkit entirely. We should probably change the language to "consumes medkit".
Bad Design. Imo it should NOT be like that

@MPUK said:
It isn't a valid tactic. It is a BS play when a killer wants to ruin the game for other people. None of this "just do the gens to punish them" BS either. Being stuck on a hook whilst a killer stands there ruins the game. If a killer claims he is having fun, being skillful or employing a tactic when all he does is stand still he is talking out of his arse.
Same goes for tunnelling. A desperate play to try and get an easy kill.
Moris don't bother me as long as it isn't tunnel off first hook to desperately mori.
I have never camped, never tunnelled and I am a red rank killer. Anyone who claims it is the only way they can win can't play the game. The ones who do play this way are the very same ones who come on the forums crying about DS.
These people also lose sight of the fact that it is a game and take every match ultra serious and make up multiple excuses as to why they had to camp/tunnel. Why go out of your way to try and make someone have a bad experience by camping/tunnelling them? Why stand still in a game for minutes at a time? Just go play something else.
There is only one situation when I see camping as valid tactic: securing last kill with all gens popped. Or hatch right next to hook and you know there is a key in play
-
@Peanits any changes coming for that? It's obviously a design flaw
-
Rank 15 oni. The hell? Try the same against a rank 1 oni main. I bet you will all die. Just the chicken run after unhooking shows you guys are probably just good at holding M1. As soon as a strong chaser is in the picture the whole team falls.

Actually the last thing us killer mains want is solo survivor to be weak. We want to nerf SWF. Solo survivor needs to be up to par
That's not the impression I get from hardcore killer mains for every suggestion to buff solo survivors.

I'm a rank 1 solo survivor...
Not telling that you are, but this excuse is coming usually from this type of players. The benefit clearly outclasses the negatives.
-
@Cheers said:
Although it sounds good, this would cause lobby dodging if it was in the lobby, and although in game it could work, I feel like it would promote unhealthy playstyles more often then they currently occur.
This is just an excuse usually coming from hardcore killer mains who wants solo to stay weak.

The devs kinda half-assed this update tbh.
Franklin's gets no extra love when it could previously completely remove a key from play, now it cant.
Streetwise's buff to toolboxes currently is completely meaningless.
Wait, what changed with Franklin's? You can't knock down keys anymore or what?
-
Nothing is going to happen mate. Just use them. Even McLean is using them (bhvr dev) and many streamers. It's been a thing since its release basically and I haven't came across a single report of someone getting banned for that. You are more likely to get banned by using a controller on pc lol
-
I know, that's why I personally don't have any issue with it, I never tunnel on purpose. But I see some complains about specific niche situations so I thought this rework will shut it down and fix it.
-
@bendermac said:
NO! It's already BS in certain cases and with the OP's suggestion it would be even more BS
Let it stay how it is, but let deactivate if you start working on a gen, hop into a locker and be fully healed
How would it be more bs? It basically removes the ability to abuse DS how it's done currently.

People seem to be missing the point that when Yui was released I saw a ton of her and still do. When Nancy and Steve were released I saw a ton of them and they're still fairly common. Every new survivor has had a big burst of use upon release. So survivors being skins is not really relevant to what I'm talking about. Zarina seems like the least played new survivor as far back as I can remember
I think it's a combination of grind and that the new survivor is kinda like a combination of nea and yui (in my eyes). So why playing her when you have nea and yui maxed out, right?

Just BHVR things..
