  • I have been sandbagged for the most vapid of reasons, like unhooking someone before someone else or leading a killer to someone else by accident. They do that little head nod thing and then block me in a corner, before sprint bursting away before the bubba can down them.

It's obnoxious, and screws over the other two survivors (unless they're working together) because one survivor had dedicated their playtime to ruining the experiences of others, and gens aren't being done because they're just leading the killer to their teammates with bond.

  • basekit but remove killer aura, if you're getting a perk for free just by queuing without friends then it should just tell the survivors that they have to do things, and the killer doesn't need to worry about their aura being constantly shown

  • this has been happening with a lot of cosmetics, it's not just exclusive to Adam

  • No one uses the addon anyways

  • Dwight main here

highly accurate list, thank you for getting the word out there

  • I would say burner accounts for controversial opinions, otherwise probably just someone new who doesn't know how to change their icon

its really hard to program and animate things ok?!?! its like SUPER difficult and like requires some dude to do something for a week or so, thats rediculous to ask of a company.

it didn't take them that long to add a mechanic and animation for victor and lockers, an animation where a survivor wildly flails at their back while victor dodges their arms wouldn't take very long in the long run, and wouldn't really require much programing as the code is already there

The thing is though, the archives often focus mainly on one killer and one survivor, it would make more sense for BHVR to save the charms relating to the secondary characters for the rift relating to those characters.

But then why include them at all? This current Rift, for example, contains charms and cosmetics based around The Clown and Adam, the Tome features challenges based around them too, but why include them at all if there's no lore involved?

They could've just focused on Nea and the Hillbilly and added cosmetics that meant nothing to lore (Kate's current rift one comes to mind) instead of shoehorning them in?

I just did a daily with Myers and got stomped literally all gens popped and only one hook. I'm just curious if it's just me or is this an issue with most killers? For reference I am a nurse main rank 1.

Played against a rank 1 Clown, had that pinky addon that exposes survivors, threw it at us but didn't realize you had to directly hit someone with the bottle, not have them intoxicated. Rage quit and called us hackers.

On the contrary I played against a rank 1 Pig who completely destroyed the team, Gens were a slog and I don't remember if they used traps or not. They were nice and let me and the other Dwight escape through the hatch (The other two survivors brought keys and were rather toxic) got a brutal killer and thanked us for helping them finish one of their challenges.

It all depends on skill, but trying to brute force skill by using addons or loops doesn't always work, because if you don't understand the base fundamentals you can really never improve. To answer your question; Yes.

  • everyone is bad on haddonfield

  • Obviously a much needed Dwight buff

  • Survivor main here

    we know

  • I'm amateur at best, and I want his slowdown perks removed, don't care about his snares or dream pallets, don't care about his teleporting, even his lunge I can somewhat understand from a "immersion" standpoint.

His slowdown perks are dumb, and have no business being in the game still.

  • When I was a new survivor I came up with the term "curse of 3" because every game someone would die before or after the 2nd gen was completed.

Gens were being done, but let me remind you that this was pre-huntress, old ruin, vacuum pallets and windows. People were hooked left and right, tunneling and camping was rampant, no one at those ranks had DLC or good perks yet, no Dead Hard.

It was tense, to say the least, but it wasn't very fun, as most killers were inexperienced enough that that was their only kill, or they played doctor.

Brown ranks have always been bad, before and after the tutorials were added, and they're only worse now because people are ######### and want to ruin the experience to newer players, while simultaneously complaining that the game is dying.

Setting hitbox problems aside, does the middle-ground even exist?

In my personal experience, they either disappear fast, don't disappear, or disappear soon after i display the effects.

Of course exceptions have occurred, but still.

Can you give an example perhaps, of what hiding spot you consider middle-ground?

I don't believe there is a middle ground, as they're generally easy or incredibly difficult to find. But if I was to think about maybe newer survivors or survivors who don't dedicate the maps to memory, I would say when a totem spawns between bushes, or if it spawns near a fire barrel.

  • Rotten fields, without the harvesters, without the killer shack, without the walls, without the corn

A completely empty field, bright yellow to make even the mere possibility of stealth impossible

And scattered periodically are invisible walls that are just big enough to hit but not climb over, one's that survivors can go under but killers can't, one's that killers can go through that survivors can't.

    It would be miserable

  • remove or shorten the cooldown on diversion and any means necessary, they're unnecessary cooldowns for fun perks

They are kind of dead regardless though. But yeah, gate spawns can be pretty BS and unfair for survivors sometimes. Still, if you find hatch first they still have a chance of escaping through the gates.

It's all RNG, it can feel demoralizing to not win a coin flip and be murdered.

For example imagine the matchmaking screws up as usual and you're matched with bad teammates who do nothing, they all die, and then the killer finds the hatch, and shuts it. The exit gates spawn so close that you can't do anything, or they're playing trapper, or twins, or whatever.

They either find you or the endgame collapse gets you, you get moried regardless, and lose without there being anything you can do.

I solo que, this happens a lot more then anyone in their right mind think should, and it's very demoralizing.

I want Cypress to become basekit, but before that I want the matchmaking fixed.

I agree with you! I also think so many recolours shouldn't have existed, to make things feel more unique when a new outfit does come out.

They could do what another game franchise does (The Sims 4) and get people's input on their favourites with polls before making them, like you say. Not everything gets chosen ofc but it always makes me personally feel more involved and valued in the way things turn out.

It's ironic, most of the good recolors and reskins are exclusive to their mobile game. It wouldn't take that much effort to port them and they look so much better than what we've got here on literally every other platform.

Micheal Myers with the Tombstone Piece Addon can 99% his evil within 3 on other survivors and Mori you out of the match upon first encountering you, resulting in a big fat depip and your game cut short. Especially if combo'd with J Myers memorial for faster stalking.

I know Myers is due for an addon pass. Can Tombstone Piece at least be changed so it's less "Cheesy"?

Honestly if it made Myers move slower than a survivor it would be better, it's mostly because he's still faster AND can insta down you if need, making it a lose/lose regardless of how well you hide or loop.

  • @Yords said:

    Please read first.

I have made a post about this before, but I feel that it is more relevant especially right now with moris being nerfed and I feel that this should definitely be implemented as it is not crazy big of a change.

The current yellow mori: Allows you to kill a survivor if they are the last one remaining in the trial regardless if they have been hooked or not.

This is not used often and most of the time, you probably aren't even going to get to use it if you do run it.

The could-be base kit mori: Allows you to kill the last remaining survivor in the trial only if all other survivors have been sacrificed. Grants you as many points as you would have gotten if they were hooked and sacrificed.

It makes sense with the lore of the game "You worked well, the last one is yours.", gives moris more of a use just in general gameplay, is not OP, and gives you the rest of the points you would have gotten sacrificing them.

What are your thoughts? Do you agree with me, or do you think something else could work? Just keep it professional.

    I would say yes, only having an issue with one aspect;

If the survivor loses the hatch search, and has poor gate spawn, they have no chance to escape, and then the killer gets to kill them.

It's not a major issue but it's demoralizing to survivors to be killed in such a way, I would know, I was there for the original mori/iri head/noed huntresses who head nod and spam chat with rude statements. Having a killer slaughter you regardless of how well you played is going to be a pretty big ego smasher, and if I know anything about survivor main egos, it's that they DC, spam chat, and stop playing the game.

Look at her back or her sides, they are literally flat lol.

    ew

I didn't notice that earlier, I was looking for clipping, thanks for pointing that out

  • What exactly is wrong with it, I understand it looks bad but looking at the pictures I don't see exactly what you see is wrong with it?

On the other hand it's not like they put that much effort into the Dwight cosmetic, so I feel your pain.

  • My thoughts on the reworked maps is they're trying to make loops less prevalent, however if they take out a key component of the game and replace it with nothing then the issue rises that a killer can simply steamroll a team with no repercussions.

High level survivors have it so engrained in their playstyle to take an offensive approach but when that stops working it'll be hard to adapt, low level survivors won't be able to win chases as much because they don't understand the mechanics and most of the pallets allow the killer to walk around them.

They tried to alleviate this by adding breakable walls, but their careless approach to their placements either made it detrimental to the killer or survivor experience, or it's so meaningless if they replaced the doorway with an actual wall no one would notice or care.

It's an all around issue, if there were more pallets in more safe locations that would fix something, however they're not going to do that because they want to push the breakable wall mechanic, a mechanic exclusive to killers that doesn't change much overall.

Survivor gameplay is going to get more stale and aggravating, as killers easily knock them down without them coming across a single pallet, and killer gameplay is going to become boring as it's just mindlessly finding survivors, chasing them, hooking them, leaving to repeat pattern on another survivor.

That isn't true and you know it. Most people(including me)refer to legion as boring, even if they escape, and even if the legion didn't use perks. There are certain killers that are actually boring, you know.

I agree, but it is true, if you use monitor on deathslinger or STBFL on demo, you're not "boring", you're using the same meta that survivors use against you. Which in truth can be boring but, but is a form of hypocrisy when the killer could say the same thing about the survivor loadouts

So we have hook charms but what about being able to pimp our basements with different bloodstains? Or rats, bodyparts etc nailed on the wall? Let us make our basements a bit more personal and scary.

add them to the rift and give us a reason to spend money on them

  • Catboy Dwight becomes canon and destroys the game

  • I am a member of the LGBTQ+, and I don't want to be pandered to. If they were to add a character that was nothing more than a rainbow flag that shows how inclusive BEhaviour is without adding anything to lore or the game overall, I, and I'm guessing several others, would be angry at how they show inclusivity through a character that only has the personality trait of "Homosexual" or "Transgender" etc..

I know that good can be done with a character that is an LGBTQ+, but don't just make them for the sake of making them, and putting no effort into them. Don't pull a Disney on us.

  • If you release something in an unfinished state but then promise that things will be fixed, it's reasonable to be angry over it. If you spent money on something bugged to the ground (literally) and can't play it, you can be angry. If you learn that the easiest way to play a specific killer is boring and isn't fun, you can be angry.

It isn't unreasonable to be angry over these things, and it's 100% justified until BEhaviour proves everyone wrong and makes a massive fix, optimizes the game, and fixes all the jank and server bs that still plagues the game.

  • Getting a 3k, hatch doesn't matter and if I happened to steamroll a team I always let the Dwight or the most fun survivor leave.

  • Cypress Mori becomes basekit

Add bots to the game to create both a practice mode, and to not screw over survivors when one of them disconnects

    Complete code overhaul

So what exactly is this post for? Both sides complain about the other's meta perks, we all know this.

it's just me complaining, there really isn't any other point

  • I don't have video evidence because I don't record my gameplay, I have a story where a Trapper hit me over the Haddonfield fences, I know this is something you can do generally in the game, however I was good 6 in game meters away.

It screwed me over because, while I was not on death hook, my teammates weren't very... fun, so they sandbagged me while the killer, realizing what was happening, did that head nod and hit me repeatedly while I died on first hook like 10 minutes into the game.

    Fun game

  • forgiveness is fickle but I wish no ill will on the developers themselves, they're obviously trying their best and the real problems come from the company's management of their game. I do want DBD to succeed because it's not only fun and could be better, but also because the failure of DBD also means the potential failure for BEhaviour, as DBD is their sole game, and I don't want hundreds to lose their jobs because of higher up incompetence out of their control.

  • Add a 6th slot too and see what happens, it'll probably be a very interesting experiment

  • @LiunUK said:

they did say we should still get the themed gens, lockers and hooks

  • They don't promote toxic behavior, toxic behavior is the only optimal way to play them to secure victory. As stationary Victor is punishable, he can be kicked, a survivor can be picked up with STBFL, and they can run away before Charlotte even gets there. Slugging and camping is really the only way to play them if you want to win as them.

  • Huntress also has a similar issue, where a close range hatchet hit elicits no cooldown and she can potentially barrel down on survivors, however if a cooldown was added then it would be punishing to learning killers or when playing against survivors who know how to counter them.

This probably won't be changed, but provided that these killers are 2 out of 22 you don't have to worry about it that much.

  • Elodie sounds like her voice lines were recorded in a personal studio, which makes sense considering the circumstances of Covid. However you'd think they'd mix the voice a little, unless it made her into another Ace.

  • Why are there 5 different variations when none of them are particularly different, and why are they treated as independent of each other? It is so nonsensical I initially thought it was a glitch, but they never fixed it so.... what's the point?

Its not that i dont believe that it is a coincidence its that it could have been avoided if the priorities were set straight

I understand where you're coming from, it feels like a slap to the face when the game releases in such a terrible state and then they start throwing all of these new skins into the spotlight. It's a scummy practice, and it doesn't help that the trailer is rendered poorly and most of the cosmetics are weird looking (Dwight) makes it seem like they really don't care
