started playing this game around 2016, when everything was kind of overpowered for both sides, intentional or not, and it made the game chaotic but also incredibly fun. looking back i think early 2016-2019 dbd was the most fun i've ever had playing a video game, it was chaotic and crazy and weird and new. and then they started adding new killers and throwing ######### at the wall to see what st0 comments 111 views last activity

I personally think its gens, killers are designed and buffed around chases, but when they're not in chase they suffer because they can't pressure four people and seven generators at once. Gen speeds being a completely different issue, they fluctuate constantly and make the chase meta worse. Survivors aren't really at fault for doing gens quickly, it's the speed at which gens get done mixed with105 comments 2,203 views last activity

It should give haste instead of undetectable. Killers with awful map pressure don't get anything from the perk and killers with good map pressure just get the added benefit of cheeky gen grabs.5 comments 101 views last activity

I am not the world's greatest DBD player, I am mediocrity reincarnated into a spiteful man with a forum account. I don't fully know how MMR works, but I know I'm not making numbers because I don't escape every game I play, but I keep getting matched with high MMR killers, and what seems like negative MMR survivors. It's not even fair to blame the players at this point, because the emblem system0 comments 31 views last activity

Compared to killers survivors have very little objectives; do gens, hide in lockers, break totems. If survivors were given more or different objectives, would it change to balance or pace of the game? Considering that most killers are not designed around gen defense, would removing gens and replacing them with something different suddenly make a killer more or less viable? Of course its open e3 comments 41 views last activity

Yes I just got face camped 2 minutes into a game. I understand that toxicity is subjective and that arguably survivors are more toxic, but lets be a little honest about Killer toxicity for a second; it is the only form of toxicity that can genuinely affect gameplay. Sure it has emblem penalties but no one really cares about it. It just hurts to have to watch your other three teammates scramble5 comments 141 views last activity

I do not appreciate the Dwight abuse in your advertisements and trailers, Dwight has been at the receiving end of abuse in too many of your videos, advertisements, trailers, etc. and I for one do not appreciate it. It's mean and I don't like it :(7 comments 151 views last activity

These are great additions to the survivor perk roster. As someone who doesn't typically use items I think that perks that allow you to craft powerful items after doing the objective is both rewarding and incentivizes you do the objective. Overall great perks, congrats BHVR.7 comments 351 views last activity

Break it to me, are we or are we not getting one. I love Ethan, he's my favorite RE character. He's just some guy in the wrong place at the right time, driven solely by the goal of saving his family. I really hope he gets in, but I'd rather ask just to know. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LhXa3XWGco I know this video is done with a mod, but they wouldn't had fully rendered his face if they8 comments 462 views last activity

You know how everyone complains about Tunneling, Camping, Decisive Strike, Flashlights, Unbreakable, Infinites, Slugging, BBQ and Chili, Deathslinger, Spirit, P3 Claudette, Pallet Saves, etc. etc.? I think that Camping and Tunneling is miserable, and the fact that people say that its a valid tactic is a defense mechanism because they don't want to lose it. Please heal and do the objectives. I have lost countless games because you spend the entire match chasing the killer to get flashlight saves, you spend the entire game BMing a killer instead of doing the objectives or healing, and then you get mad at the killer when they win. If every survivor is getting a fresh coat of paint, does that mean you're going to overhaul every single cosmetic piece? Additionally, if you are going through with this, are you going to implement new animations or facial movements unique to each character to give them more personality? Another small addition; if you're going to redo every old survivor, are you also going to change how they lo0 comments 11 views last activity

Her power is very luck dependent, like to such an extent it can hurt. However those moments when it works in your favor? Amazing, satisfying, incredible. I think she needs one thing; Basekit Ruleset No. 2, it would increase tensions for survivors and force them to make difficult choices, other than that, I think she's perfectly fine as is.71 comments 1,021 views last activity

I want to try and make a thread so they're all in one place, I think if they're all in one place then there's a higher chance they'll be seen. Even if something isn't implemented into the game exactly, ideas need to be heard so at least a general idea of what is wanted can be utilized and expanded on to make the game better. If this thread dies so be it, but I'd at least like to try.0 comments 21 views last activity

Fix it It is the most aggravating, irritating, mind boggling, nonsensical, bullshit, violence inducing, hair tearing, nails across chalkboarding, eye gouging, and teeth baring thing in the game. I don't blame killers when it happens, because they have no control over it and probably don't realize it happens. I wholeheartedly blame the inane intern who decided to reuse the servers from a failed2 comments 42 views last activity

I got matched with a SWF using a smurf account, I knew they were a SWF because their names were variations of each other. We got matched with a rank 18-19 Hillbilly and the SWF proceeded to BM the hell out of him until he ragequit. Ruining the experiences of new players is awful, don't do it. If you bully someone new into the ground they'll quit the game. And then you people complain about you14 comments 271 views last activity

These perks activate once and then don't reactivate for the rest of the game Why run them if you don't get any more use out of them once the time is up? Especially if you run both. EDIT: Comments made me realize its less of a problem with the perk and more of a problem with the inability to pressure four people at once. I think that's the bigger problem.16 comments 251 views last activity

Her entire power was designed as a fix for genrushing back when that was a much bigger problem, and now she's stuck in this perpetual limbo. I don't think Pig is the worst killer and I don't think you should switch mains, I feel bad about you guys because her power and most of her perks were designed as bandaid fixes to problems that don't exist anymore.17 comments 331 views last activity

I was sitting in the lobby waiting for a match when suddenly I had an amazing idea. What if you could only use a specific perk from the Survivor you chose? Maybe not an additional perk slot, but a perk slot dedicated to a Survivor teachable? It could be a buffed version too if that's alright Then killers could have a vague idea of what they're going up against, and even if the game is still j10 comments 101 views last activity

Most killers should get a 5% movement bonus. I say most because Nurse, and most ranged killers might be debatable. That's it, just a 5% movement buff, make them a little more powerful to catch up and hook survivors a bit more efficiently. Thoughts?5 comments 32 views last activity

There's no punishment for it. Sure you can be flamed on your steam account or sent hate messages, but that's not really a punishment, is it? A survivor can click their little flashlight and t-bag all they want, and they're still going to win that chase as their friends do all the gens you can't pressure. A killer can tunnel and slug to their heart's content because the only thing that'll come4 comments 91 views last activity

This one goes out to you Trickster and Twins mains who don't want to put in the time to learn any mechanical skill. Playing a bad killer does not excuse rampant camping and tunneling, saying you had to play that way because the killer is bad is the most worthless excuse I've ever heard. SWF is a killer's worst nightmare due to frequent use of coms and the ability to use teamwork more optimally than intended. However at the same time SWF is the only real "optimal" way to play survivor due to it leading to the most consecutive victories. Because I am a forum jockey with no friends I play primarily solo que and have had far more demeaning and tiresome experiences than when I play2 comments 61 views last activity

His power is really effective and as he slowly gains more power throughout the trial he becomes a genuine threat to everybody. Honestly the worst part about his kit are the zombies, less of their utility and more of their AI, its not very good. 8/10 killer would play against over spirit or legion any day8 comments 171 views last activity

It might not be linked by specific games The Silent Hill chapter is what I'm basing this on. The Silent Hill chapter had a map from 1, the Killer from 2, and the Survivor from 3 It might be completely possible that the elements of this chapter might be disjointed from one another, like Ethan in the Police Station fighting Nemesis. I know it's just another theory, but I'm just bringing it up be4 comments 81 views last activity

I don't personally hang around to T-bag and save if I know I can't safely rescue someone. That doesn't stop my other three teammates from trying. Funniest thing happened today Played against a SWF as Oni, they all got out, genrushing, flashlight clicking, the usual. Then the endgame chat; typing "zzz" in the chat, calling me bad, the usual. But then one of them said that I was "bad for picking Oni" I didn't screencap it because, to be completely honest, I was furious at myself and left soon afterwards. I was pursuing the forums like the jockey I am and kept finding posts about which RE character someone wants in the game, and it got me thinking about why its so hard to pinpoint exactly who would get in. I believe its hard to pinpoint who would get in for a variety of reasons; Survivor(s) are hard to choose from, but the issue is that they have to not only make sense in a gameplay perspective,3 comments 71 views last activity

I hear in a lot of endgame chats and forum posts that "X perk is bad" "X perk is annoying" etc. etc. You do realize the meta is in place for a reason, right? Say Borrowed Time never existed, so now killers can camp to their hearts content without ANY chance of the survivor getting away unscathed. Or lets say that old Ruin never existed, then survivors would've won every game without issue and15 comments 341 views last activity

Both for Killers and Survivors I played F13 before it went up in flames, and I can say, the game itself: awful. I did not enjoy the game on its own, most mechanics were luck based, the map design was boring and the power dynamic between Jason and counselor was dependent on a single item you could find with RNG. However the reason I loved the game to death was because of the incredibly strange13 comments 121 views last activity

I just waited 20 minutes to get into a game just to have it end in 10. Bully SWF squad looped and genrushed the killer until they ragequit and then bullied them in the chat afterwards It's so common and it makes me think; do you guys know why the que times are long? It's not just because the matchmaking system sucks, it's also because you spend your entire game bullying someone into submission a18 comments 311 views last activity

If I could make major gameplay changes, I would slow down the pace of the game and make the killers more threatening. I'd slow down gen speeds and add secondary objectives and gamemodes that work on the same random chance as the maps and spawn locations Make it more brutal, immersive, and intense by redesigning maps more around terrain then standard, boring loop shapes, make the maps darker and4 comments 71 views last activity

I just feel like ranting stop saying "just use Ruin" "just use DS" "just use [meta perk]" People shouldn't be forced to run a single perk if they want to play a more balanced game On the topic of killers, no killer should be made with the explicit purpose of balancing something, Pig was added the way she was because gen-rushing (at the time) was so intolerable, but making a killer the only cou10 comments 171 views last activity
