Exactly. What we need is a Bootcamp for Survivors which focuses on "definitions," "tactics," and the key importance of Safe Rescues, Protection Hits, tactical Hook trades, and so on. Killers aren't getting dirtier or statistically better. Survivors are just getting more self-involved and less interested in working as a team. The SWF have kind of DONE this to Solo. It is unfortunate, but true. Without a mindset and play style change by Survivors, they might as well buckle in and get ready for a very bumpy ride. It isn't the Killer driving the car though, it is them by committee.
a "good tutorial" if you would
-
Oh god this is a throwback
-
just add little phantom footsteps behind her as a trail, perfect nerf
-
DS was never a good anti tunnel perk, it was just abusable, and that made killers scared to chase recently unhooked survivors because they could be punished for it.
now it's not as abusable, so SWFs stopped using it as much, so killers don't have to worry about recently unhooked survivors BMing them as much as they used to.
it's not an issue with the perk, more of player mentality.
-
I think RE in DBD could absolutely work, I just think my biggest issue is the current state of the game.
I think the last thing I want to see come out of one of my favorite franchises is toxic Chris Redfield mains and another sub-par killer no one would ever play, mixed with perks that barely shake the meta that you'd only see included in a gimmick build.
If it were to join the roster I'd pray to whatever gods or goddesses stare me down that they are good, I don't want another Silent Hill chapter
-
A power for legion and my conspiracy is that legion and his power were solely added just so they could change how BT worked
-
Rank 1-4 Survivor main
Killer to play against: Demogorgon
Reason: He funny teeth monster and he leap :) he cool and fun
When playing killer I play Deathslinger cause I find the sound design c r i s p and j u i c e f l o w i n g
-
you can't do it anymore because it's completely different when a survivor does it
When the killer switches to a different killer to suit their needs: unfair bad no game is killer sided devs plz fix or i quit
When the survivor pulls out a key last second, or switches from a default Meg to a P3 Claudette: completely fair good game easy you should've just reacted to it in the 2 seconds you had to see it appear in their hand 4head lmao crouch crouch crouch crouch crouch crouch click click click
-
Demo is awesome to play against no matter the build
-
3 in total
they're kinda of limited compared to everything else legion has available, why spend 10 dollars on a giant rabbit costume when you can spend at most 15 dollars on 3 different cosmetics you actually enjoy the look of
-
He was never my favorite killer to go against, that being Demogorgon, but every game I played against him always felt fun and I never felt cheated out of a win.
I think they did him dirty with the addon pass and the maneuverability reworks, more than the overheat mechanic itself. If they didn't change anything about him except adding the overheat mechanic he would've been alright, but because of all the changes people either stopped playing him or stopped playing the game.
-
Bring back old Freddy with the fake pallets and blood slow-down thingys (he was bad but at least he was fun to play against)
Remove Demo's portals and make him 120% movement speed (portals are dumb, and he's a lumbering beast and should feel that way)
Make Scalped Topknot basekit for Oni
Bring back Old Hillbilly but keep new perks (minus the ones that effect the overheating mechanic)
Make Ghostface able to be revealed while leaning (it's bullshit when you stare right at him and still get exposed)
Remove the Twins, in fact, delete the whole chapter and replace it with something else
Make Trickster 115% and make his Trick Knives basekit
Give Trapper basekit 3 trap inventory and spawn more traps in the map
Give Dwight a gun that he can share to everyone except Meg (because she would shoot her teammates to get away)
Make it so the timer for decisive pauses when in a chase (and if abused the survivor in question isn't doing gens)
Make the rift $5, as that's the most it's worth in it's current state
Give a small effect that follows Spirit while she's phasing (like footsteps or something idk)
Add a map for Trickster and Blight as they are the only ones who have an interesting enough set piece to work
Add Mathieu as a killer and his cat as a survivor
and finally;
fix the game

That if the players are going to use low-to-mid tier perks that synergize well. But no, fifth slot will only give more meta, which will be even-more-full-crutch builds for survivors and even heavier gen-defence builds for killers. It only will make the game even sweatier than it is on high ranks.
And I'm just talking 5. Even more perk slots would be completely unbearable for literally everyone.
I completely understand
I guess this is me being wishful, but if 6 perk slots were to happen, maybe the Dev team would start buffing new and old perks to create more variety?
I guess we'd have to see
-
you know
they asked about killers from anime in one of their surveys
-
obviously there are too little pallets, the whole map should be a pallet factory and have the pallets respawn!
who cares if the killer doesn't want to play anymore? they've got Civ 5!

Ok, that's fair, then maybe making ME a one hit injure and that's it, obviously, having to actually earn the one hit injure even though this would be some sort of "plague"ish
Well, then it's just huntress but with more projectiles.
-
What I really want to know is; what the hell was the thought process behind No Mither in the first place?
"Hey, so how about a perk where the survivor is injured all match?"
"Why?"
"Well they'd get bonuses, they'd be slightly muffled while injured and can recover from the dying state"
"Wouldn't the killer know that they have the perk and not leave them on the ground then?"
"No, why would anyone do that?"
-

But remember you'd have to earn the ME, it wouldn't just be a normal part of the killer, lets say, you have to have injured survivors twice WITH the kunais for it to be able to activate. I think that'd be fair
That is true, and I understand where you're coming from. I just don't want the Trickster to be another "speed boost then down" killer, I want him to be unique in his own right and viable at what he can do. If we make another legion no one will play him, and the times you play against him you won't feel like you had fun or gained anything from the experience.
Even if the speed boost was earnable I don't want Trickster to be some run of the mill hit and run killer. I want him to be a ranged threat. I want to play against the Trickster, not against Legion 2.
-
I love playing Buff perks, like Leader, Prove Thyself, Vigil, Streetwise, Open-Handed, etc.
I just hate how only one (Prove Thyself) is remotely optimal, and the rest are situational.
I love playing a vulnerable bonus to everyone else, because it makes me feel powerful and powerless at the same time, I just hate how the buffs don't tend to come into effect all that much.
I wish they'd get buffed, ironically
-
you shouldn't depip if you escape, you should depip if you escape and did nothing all game

I'd actually change the main event to more speed without knifes like legion, that way he'd have two ways of chasing and downing, without ME by throwing kunais or by activating the main event which makes you faster
the last thing we need is another legion, let alone a ranged one. If he got that sort of speed increase he wouldn't be OP but he'd be miserable to face as you couldn't really loop him.
The only exception would be indoor maps or strong loops, but he already suffers on those as is.
-
so it can't be combined with Dead 'Ard, Sprint Burst, Balanced Landing, Smash Hit, etc.
-
now the corn has breakable walls
-
The loudest survivor IMO is Meg, her grunts of pain and breathing are audible enough that you can hear them over other sounds (Rustling Grass, Corn, Repairing, Dropping a Pallet, etc.)
I think the only reason people play her is because she's short and can stealth easily under the right circumstances.
I think that's why no one plays Jeff, Adam, or Bill. They're so loud AND can't stealth easily because they're tall and w i d e
-
I think main event will be situational as hell regardless of how many buffs it gets.
I think instead of focusing on his "Special" power they should just remove it and focus of buffing his normal power, so then he'd be Huntress with tiny hatchets instead of Legion with range
-
this reminds me off the "Never Stop Slashing" situation where the face was supposed to change based on what was happening to the killer at the time.
I know this is probably unintended but to me it looks like the eyes are moving, and if this was to be added I think that would be really ######### creepy

Dwight
-
Dwight wasn't on a hottest survivor poll AND I FOR ONE AM VERY VERY TICKED OFF

What if a killer moonwalks behind a survivor to catch up with the 120% movespeed without triggering chase (and therefore dropping back to 115%)?
Make it based on survivor proximity instead of in/out of chase?
What if a survivor is stealthing successfully near the killer, and the killer now realizes a survivor is close because their movespeed dropped?
if it was based on proximity than whispers would be completely useless, because good killers would know someone is nearby as they've slowed down.
I know it's a 5% difference but when people figure out what "slightly increases" means you know they'd find a way to utilize it differently than the devs intend
-
the only thing better than one pig would be multiple piggies
-
the piggy goes oink oink and survivor go ARGGHh blagfhh and dies
-
saw theme good
-
we wouldn't get them as new survivors, we'd get them as skins for meg and feng
-
just give her super hatchets that penetrate walls
-
I think that more perk slots should be added
FOR BOTH SIDES
It would add more variety to builds, potentially shake up the meta, and make the killer more powerful because now they aren't as limited as they were before.
Please, if you think I'm wrong, tell me I'm wrong. I just think it would be interesting and honestly it would finally allow me to play True Buff Dwight
-
I don't pressure gens, I play survivor
But when the killer I'm playing against pressures gens they tend to get caught up chasing one survivor while the others repair, if I was to make a suggestion I'd suggest to try ending a chase as soon as possible, if that's impossible, change up your strategy, be unpredictable.
Survivor mains who don't play killer are so used to playing against the same type of killer player over and over again, if you change up your strategy they may not know how to react to it, and you'd be able to catch them by surprise.
I honestly have no idea how to do that, but if you do, don't tell me, surprise me

either you are trolling, or you are a survivor main. no other option.
I'm both
-
Here's the issue; I don't play against enough Tricksters, nor do I own the DLC because I don't care about the killer or survivor. I don't know what the issues are with current Trickster so I can't speak for the new Trickster.
I can say that the Tricksters I do face have been nothing but scummy, justifying their behavior by saying that "Trickster is bad so it's okay to play scummy". Except that's not the fault of the killer, rather the people who play him. It'll be nice to play against a Trickster who isn't a masochist or scumbag
-
obviously you got outplayed, it's not a "powerful" loop, it's a super-gamer-move and obviously you're just bad and the design of the map isn't stupid and horrible and unhealthy for the game
-
Trickster bad, make Trickster good and fun, then Trickster great
:)
-
there's no Dwight in this picture yet I still find this amazing.
-
I love these perks because for both sides they're rather OP which is really... different... considering how BE designs their own perks.
Shame that a "mime" killer would probably just become a skin for the clown instead of it's own killer...
-
Just make it so that everyone knows the perk has activated before someone goes down, it's not fair to go down to something you had absolutely no idea was coming.
Even rancor and cross-map huntress shots have effects and sounds, but noed does not.
and before you say "just do bones" i play solo que, i can't find all bones without a map and if my teammates don't do them too we all have to deal with it.

except it's not "optimal" so no one runs it

it's a fine perk, it discourages camping and tunneling and rewards killers for hooking survivors.
