I mean, the corn has kind of always been like that
If I could count how many times I've lost a chase on a corn map because I ran into a totem, I could count 4 times.
That's not a lot of times but it's still 4 times, and I'm in third person
The corn has, and will always be, annoyingly obscuring
-
he's pay to win, i'd rather spirit get a buff than freddy's changes get reverted
at least spirit requires SOME effort and the ability to hear things, freddy just ignores perks and has no terror radius passively, plus his power is uncounterable, you're always going to fall asleep regardless of what you do.

Actually, how about the hatch reveals its aura to the survivors instead?
Its clearly more balanced that way, since survivors are put at such a disadvantage in the Dream World. They can't possibly grasp the intricacies of finding the hatch themselves, especially not with the big, scary Freddy after them.
/s
a thing that makes survivor easier? How original, how inspired!
How very, very common

I don't think she's changed all that much because she never relied on add-ons to be good.
It was usually a mix of perk selection, pure skill, and good maps that make the huntress good, add-ons are just the little rainbow sprinkles you add for flavor

hehe fren

this was actually a feature for a month or so, if I remember correctly. It also did the same thing for pallets; you stun them during the pickup they drop them afterwards
Killers couldn't hook anyone because of the flashlight saves and pallet saves, and there wasn't anything they could do about it.
No, do not bring it back
-
evasiveness is more about "chases" than "stealth", stealth is also not rewarded as much as looping

filler for bloodweb grind

Ethan is my favorite character in Resident Evil, low A tier seems just right for him

When survivors rush the killer while they're carrying a survivor, they usually go down and their friend gets hurt, then they get mad at everyone else for not stopping everything to save them.
-
I don't care who they add as long as they're fun to play, their perks are good, and the map is balanced
which probs isn't gonna happen, but a Dwight can hope, can he not?
-
it's not snarling, it's phlegm
and besides, this isn't just a Wraith issue, it's an issue with Trickster, Twins, Deathslinger, Pyramid Head, Hillbilly, Leatherface, Freddy, etc. etc.
Ambient noises (other than their own footsteps) should be lowered for all killers
-
I don't think it's offensive because he literally tore off Claudette's face and is using it as a mask, he's not wearing it to be racist, it's just what he does.
-
and btw, who needs a perk to locate hex totems when maps exist and the totem spawns are so ######### anyways?
I play survivor and even I feel bad when ruin is cleansed a minute in
-
because they aren't worth any "real" money you'll probably never get them back, i am so so so so so sorry, man...

it makes me smile

I mean I don't see the problem? Hiding from the killer is a legit strategy. Hiding is a way to play this game. Not every person is going to be some crazy looping pro.
here's the thing, stealth is a playstyle, but Blendettes have the (warranted) stereotype of not doing anything all game and still escaping
It's a VERY survivor based problem, as for the killer... it can be kind of boring to search aimlessly for a survivor you'll have no chance of finding

lmao true true

I think iri head promotes bad behavior, as it makes a killer player good without requiring them to put any effort into their gameplay.
I think this new addon isn't going to change it all that much, it'll probably just be used less
-
almost all killers have one of these brown addons that cripple their power for more bp, it's not like the pumpkin was a good addon anyways

My intention wasn't to directly compare them, but I can see how you thought that.
I agree that we should stop calling games the "DbD Killer."
The main point of my post is I don't think HSH:S will get enough support or acknowledgement to provide some sort of competition to Dead By Daylight, as that's something the game desperately needs and just doesn't have.
I gotcha
-
I'm all for buffing the objectively useless perks in this game, for both sides of course.
My only complaint is the things involving luck, luck is currently a terrible status to this game, and I think it should be changed.
-
Freddy, Legion, Spirit, or Twins
For Freddy it's because his power does not require effort to activate and survivors are actively punished for something they can not control, he's an M1 killer, sure, but spamming fake pallets and slowdown pools can make him win any chase regardless of map or situation.
Legion is outdated and has always been terrible, their power is draining to play against and the idea that there are "Legion mains" surprises me. The sound design is fine but running from place to place and clicking M1 doesn't sound fun. I think he needs a power overhaul and to become something fun.
Spirit is nothing short of grating to play against, especially with Stridor, If you need 2 perks to counter a single killer with a single perk, then something is wrong. It also doesn't help that playing against a Spirit is obnoxious because there's no telegraphing where she might pop up from, leaving you feeling cheated when she hits you.
Twins were bad, are bad, and are still going to be bad, they promote the most scummy tactics and are nothing but unhealthy. I think they need a complete overhaul
I don't think these killers should be nerfed, I think they should be changed so that they're more fun to play as and against. Nerfing them to the ground won't help anything but keeping this as they are is stupid.

Home Sweet Home Survive is a spinoff of an already established horror series, that being Home Sweet Home.
It's a spinoff of a game with an established lore, characters, and fanbase.
I think that the difference between HSHs and DBD is that DBD is held back by it's obligations, people expect a lot out of the developers and when those expectations aren't realized, the fanbase riots. There's not much DBD can do because they could never please everybody
HSHs is an early access spinoff of a horror game franchise based in Thai mythology, and no one really expects much out of it right now.
I've noticed a viscous cycle of these "competition games," what happens is people become fed up with DBD, so they go to the next best thing; Last Year, Monstrum 2, Home Sweet Home Survive, Outlast Trials (when it comes out), etc. etc.
When the DBD players move from DBD to whatever, they often take their toxic mentalities with them and ruin the playtime of the newest players, causing them to leave the game or switch to survivor. Que times for the "survivor" role skyrocket and the game slowly loses players.
Refunds cause the update cycle to cease, and the game loses it's last remaining players and dies without fanfare. Then everyone begrudgingly returns to DBD because it's the only game of it's niche with a consistent player base.
Essentially what I've noticed is that these games don't stand a chance, because they'll always be compared to DBD and be viewed as "inferior products". People will stand by DBD in hope that the game will get fun or because they spent so much money on it. The game will die and everyone will just have to come back to DBD until the next best thing comes along.
Pretending that HSHs is the "Dead by Daylight killer" is a bad mentality, viewing it as another option in a niche genre is much better.
We can't expect much out of HSHs in it's current state but constantly comparing it to DBD is the last thing we should be doing

Because the clown is tall, so his legs are longer
-
Just playing Bubba? no, you're not the bad guy at all
-
I'd recommend Tinkerer
I'd also recommend replacing Pop with Surge but that's just personal preference.
-
You can interview me if you like, I'm certainly less interesting than everyone else in this chat but that's just what makes me special :)
-
I think they should just make it like the killer; lock them as their chosen survivor when they join a lobby.
Maybe that wouldn't fix last minute keys, but at least you wouldn't be expecting a new player and suddenly have to deal with a P3 Felix
-
A Silent Hill map had so much potential. They could've chosen literally anything from across the series, but they chose one of the most cramped, long hallway infested, cluttered ones possible.
It looks amazing aesthetically, don't get me wrong.
It's just.... so bad... it hurts
-
How many were Dwight
-
He is so average it's painful, the only way he'll down a good player is catching them out in the open
-
I think it's stupid and a waste of a perk slot.
It won't stop an experienced survivor from evading you, and healing isn't survivor priority #1, so if you think it'll slow the game down you're sorely mistaken.
It's also a perk that activates on basic attacks, so only good on M1 killers who don't heavily rely on their power to deal damage (So no Demogorgon Lunge, Deathslinger reel-than-hit, Feral Frenzy Hit)
Hemorrhaging isn't the best, as despite the fact there's more blood, on some maps it's impossible to track, and the noises survivors make are usually muffled or staunched by their perks.
If you think it'll help in the long run, nope, because some of the meta is derived of powerful healing perks that ignore status effects, like Adrenaline, or Inner Strength
I'd recommend literally anything else, it'll do a better job at winning you games than Sloppy, and you won't notice a difference other than less blood spurts coming from the survivor when you hit them
Note: the only killer i'd consider it remotely good on is Spirit, because you can see blood while phasing, however it's still outclassed by other tracking perks (Stridor), following scratch marks, and watching the grass shift

Oh I know but as Pyramid Head they're exceptionally #########.
I cannot agree more
-
don't use them, I think they all look bad on survivor
Not the charms themselves, of course, they look fine all things considered
I mean the fact that they're so small, that if they aren't glowing no one else would notice them

Swamp? Oh you sweet summer child, if you think Swamp is bad just wait till you find yourself on Dead Dawg Saloon. Or Hawkins.
Honey I can tell you that Dead Dawg and Hawkins are not exclusively bad to PH, they're bad to every killer

I mean, imo he needs a change to be less zone oriented and more skill rewarding but I wouldn't say he's op.
Yet.
he's absolutely not OP by any means, on swamp maps he's useless because any degree of elevation ######### him sideways
I think when a killer is rarer players don't know how to deal with them as well as they would, say, a nurse or spirit. However the section of the playerbase that is entitled little shitbirds will complain loudly, and his numbers will skyrocket to a point where a nerf is done for no reason other than statistics
-
Yes and No, it's fine on it's own but it's limited by how many times you can reasonably hook a survivor.
If I could only choose one gen regression perk I'd choose Surge over PGTW, as it's much more reliable, can affect multiple gens, and is only limited by cooldown rather than how many times you can get a hook and a kick within a timeframe

The more people don't play Pyramid Head the more people underestimate the power to use your ability outside of animation lock. Keep him rare and I grow only stronger.
at some point PH will be so rare he'll be considered OP and be nerfed

It’s a great stealth build against most killers. But it’s extra special against Spirit.
it also leaves you perma-injured, so it's exclusively a stealth build
-
I play solo que, my experiences with SWF mostly involve them not doing gens to BM the killer, throwing their injured selves at the killer when they go to hook their buddy.
Normally I escape through hatch and get called scummy for leaving them to die. It's an all around problem, it's a detriment, even.

Thats kinda what I was thinking, also what do you mean another Silent Hill chapter, Silent Hill was good for the game
Toxic Cheryl mains and no one really plays PH because he's not "optimal". All of the perks that came with the chapter are situational or bad, and the map the DLC came with, while visually good, is not the best designed and can be a detriment or a godsend dependent on which killer you're playing.
The Silent Hill chapter was cool but no one uses it anymore because there are better alternatives that can be grinded for (spirit) or are free (huntress), I see a Cheryl every now and then and a killer playing PH every blue moon.
