I'm going to ignore the fact that this is extremely obvious bait and ask two questions
One, how is a perk that can either erase a mistake, extend a loop, or at the very worst buy a survivor a few extra seconds at the simple press of a button well designed?
and Two, how is a perk that forces the killer to stay on the survivor's rear and wait in a fast-pa
ced action game well designed? -
Considering for a moment we already have Ash and Bill, Rambo would probably fit in quite well

I have

I saved this image which showcases ranges
i can confirm personally that the game's definition of 10 metres away is grounded in a completely alternate reality
it took me so goddamn long to get that stupid challenge complete because the game would just decide that being within literal feet-kissing distance of the killer was not 10 metres away

My personal survivor tier list on how good of teammates they are
personally i would put Steve and Quinten in top tier Cheryl and Nancy in Meghead tier
The amount of Steves and Quintens i have seen throw themselves in front of a killer to save someone is insane, and on the flipside, the amount of times i wanted to strangle a Cheryl or Nancy because they led the killer to me or saved in the killer's face without BT or screwed me over at a pallet is also very high
-
the better question is why they changed Ghostface's music back from the train to the broken printer
-
I run SF, Enduring, Surge and Spies from the Shadows
Thana, contrary to what people might believe, is not very good on Legion, yes you can the full effect of it decently easy but it's main value is making survivors waste time healing, which a group of smart survivors will not do against Legion, they will just rush the gens and ignore healing unless they are sure they can get away with it
If you are going to run a slowdown perk, run either Surge since you will be getting mostly m1 downs, Pop, Pain Res, or Ruin

It feels like Nightfall is incredibly overwhelming. Low field of view, lots of audio queues (like the faint screaming), new unfamiliar map, new creepy killer. After two matches against Dredge I couldn't play anymore, I think I was too stimulated or something. At the end of the second game I just sort of gave up.
I couldn't really see generators in nightfall, didn't know where the killer was, didn't know where anyone was. I couldn't really plan my next step I just sort of froze like, 'Uhm... okay? Where do I go. Okay I'm just here now. I should find a generator. I'm sure there's a couple on this map... Do I die now?' Then after nightfall ended I managed to get my head on straight enough to start working on a generator. Then I don't really remember what happened. I can't even remember if I died or escaped. I think I died?
I know a couple of times during a chase I thought that I was doing good but then he was like BAM right on top of me way faster than I expected and I would go down. Does he get a speed boost or something? I feel like I have a solid idea of how to loop or hold W on a 4.6 killer, but I don't think I misread him that badly that each time I got hit it was like 'Yo what where did he come from?' or like I thought I knew he was exactly in one spot and then he wasn't there at all, like I just blinked and he was somewhere else. I know he teleports to lockers but I didn't hear lockers and don't even think there were lockers in the area.
I'm starting to think that he just chased me normal style and maybe my head was a bit messed and those were all fair hits. But I'm also thinking maybe I don't really understand the whole breadth of his character and maybe something is happening to allow him to do weird stuff like that. I have about 800 hours on this game so I do have a fairly decent amount of experience and would consider myself good at this game typically.
I remember when I first went against the artist a few times I felt kind of similarly. Like the first week against the artist I was performing horribly because the sounds she made gave me chills and I would just get these brief moments where everything felt kind of floaty and my muscles would just relax on their own and I'd just let it happen. But I did get over that. Maybe I just need to get used to him.
Nightfall is made intentionally overwhelming, don't feel bad for panicking when it goes off
my best advice is to take a deep breath when you see the pre-nightfall audio que and tell yourself, "you're going to be fine", it helps a ton

I find his dark mode annoying, feels like a filter opposed to actually beaing night,
when im on Eyrie it REALLY feels like a filter
that saying it makes it harder to loop
could tone down the screams tho
If they tone down the screaming during Nightfall i will be beyond happy

@Brokenbones said:
Ambient noises should be kinda loud for survivor and not so loud for Killer yeah
Dredge's ambient sounds are so cool from the survivor POV, hearing the roars map wide when they down someone is amazing but from Killer POV sound is a lot more important and any small thing can distract you
I can agree that the sounds are very cool
However, they give me serious anxiety, and i can't really play games that give me serious anxiety

Ideally we could just get some accessibility options regarding killer SFX. I know lots of people are sensitive to Plague's retching or Artist's croaking, and I recall someone bringing up Midwich's air sirens.
I really do hope that they add stuff like that, the only reason i can think of for why BHVR doesn't add it is because they're worried people would just turn them down completely to either hear survivors or the killer easier, but even then, it's not really a good reason

Further back then that.
The release of Curtain Call in 2018 was delayed by several weeks on all consoles because the update was that busted.
What makes this that much more ######### is that Binding of Kin happened and made the game basically unplayable for Consoles
you'd think they'd learn to delay updates after Curtain Call, but apparently, they never did

The fact that I was reading Sluzzy’s recent post about NOED before I saw this is further proof that the universe has a very ironic sense of humour
-
I play as normal
IMO it’s worse when a survivor DCs mid-match rather then when the match begins, because then it just feels like everyone’s efforts have been wasted because one guy didn’t feel like finishing the match
-
The match doesn't end until all of the survivors are dead or they escape
NOED is annoying, but there are several measures you can take to counter it, mainly Small Game and Detective's Hunch
-
For me personally, not really, the perk does what it was meant to do into the first place without providing 60 seconds of Carte Blanche to do what the survivor wants
it is pretty dumb to hook someone, hook someone else and then get hit by a DS when you very clearly are not tunnelling, but those scenarios are petty rare for me

yeah.
It's just annoying.
Sprint burst prevents/ends chases, dead hard makes them longer at no cost. Head On extends chases, but it only has one use, and it's not exactly easy to use in chase.
Precisely
When a survivor uses SB, the killer can either not engage or go for the chase
If a survivor has DH, the killer has to either abandon the chase, making that entire chase pointless, or continue chasing when the chase should have ended without DH
SB's strong, but it's balanced due to not being able to be used mid-chase with no set up, unlike DH

usually because the word used as a translation is referred to as "he" or "she".
But Dredge is "it" judging by DbD achievements + don't forget Dredge is not that head or conjoined arms or skulls. Dredge is the impenetrable darkness underneath. It's immaterial and any biological terms are not fitting for it. Those fleshy joints and formations are basically like a shell it materialises to use as a way of communicating with the world, just like those countless slender arms from its base.
So basically, Dredge is a really gross and ######### up Hermit Crab

Isn't Nemesis 115% with a range power, though?
I wouldn't really call Nemesis' tentacle a ranged power per say, even with tier 3 it's still only 6 metres, a 3rd of Deathslinger's max Redeemer range

I'll preface this by saying, when I play survivor, I run Sprint Burst.
I really think Dead Hard has gotten a bad rap, because it is being run by the most skilled survivors in the game. So it looks so good because the most skilled survivors are using it, not because it tremendously better than the other endurance perks.
When you have a skilled survivor using a perk, that perk is going to look over-powered.
The second all these skilled survivors start using Sprint Burst, an endurance perk that is 100% guaranteed to work correctly, instead of Dead Hard, Killers will have the exact same problems, maybe even worse because Sprint Burst gives you more distance.
The reason Killers hate Dead Hard isn't because of the distance it covers, they hate it because it essentially erases a mistake and can extend loops to a insane degree, and even out in the open, you have to just sit on the survivor's rear and bait out the Dead Hard, which is a waste of time, Sprint Burst cannot do that nor can it erase a mistake on the survivor's part unless they are very good at 99ing it
-
I want a killer that gets stronger as the game progresses, Something like a machine that gets additional abilities when a generator is done, and becomes extremely dangerous once all 5 have been completed
I like my "comeback king" abilities

Everyone talks about perks but what about Nurse? She doesn't need any perks to be OP, literally just have a half decent player who plays killer enough to defeat an entire lobby. Even a good team can be overpowered by a good Nurse..
Pray tell, when was the last time you actually went against a good Nurse that was using no perks?
Nurse's basekit, while strong, has counterplay, that being breaking LOS as much as humanly possible, doubling back, and tricking the Nurse into making a bad read
A Nurse with Range addons and a bunch of slowdown perks is defintely miserable to play against, but that says more about her addons and the slowdown meta more then anything else

Nope. But nice try.
IMO it is way harder to get good throws in with her compared to Blinks.
The fact that Huntress’s hatchet hitboxes are about as consistent as expired peanut butter does not help that’s for sure
-
The player base in general confuses me
I actually put together a bingo board i use whenever i play and regardless of the outcome at least 1 space ends up being filled
For those who are curious, here's the board, feel free to use
-
Suffocation Pit is the map i consider to be my stomping grounds
3 Gen locks are pretty easy to do provided that the survivors are dumb, A pretty fair number of pallets and loops, some hills to Shred off of as Demo, plenty of opportunities for stealth as Myers or Ghostface, it's everything i want in a map
I usually win on it, and i always have fun on it
-
She's still very good, she just feels a lot less cheap to play against now that you can actually hear her phasing mid-chase

How is POP disabled permanently?
technically it's disabled permanently when all of the survivors have been hooked and killed
i say technically because the game ends 15 seconds later after that happens
-
Fun but definitely needs buffs, both to her stealth and her Condemned
-
Buff Plunderers so it never gives brown items and i will be beyond happy
-
Exactly what do you mean by "yellow and purple" powers? Like do you want the powers to use those colours? Or some other reason?
-
@Tsulan said:
Whats wrong with nurse? Just because you find 1 god nurse in 1000 matches doesn´t make the other 99% you encounter OP. She still has the lowest kill rate of all killers.
Most importantly, if survivors actually took their time to learn how to play against Nurse, then no one would complain about her.
*Her 3-blink and Range addons not withstanding
Nerf those and maybe her recharge addons and Nurse will be fully fine
-
I'm not sure how controversial of a take this will end up being, but i think NOED is one of the most interestingly designed perks in the game
Why? Simple, it punishes survivors for playing too quickly
Lets say that a match starts, all of the survivors have Small Game and the killer has NOED, 2 of the survivors suspect the killer has NOED, and so decide to take, lets say 2 minutes to do the totems, during those 2 minutes a gen was done and 2 survivors were hooked, the survivors aren't rewarded per-say for doing all of the the totems, but they did ensure that NOED did not trigger
Now lets say a different match starts, the Survivors have Small Game and the Killer has NOED, the Survs do not do the totems and instead do all of the gens as quick as possible, one of them is then downed by NOED and camped, only then do the survivors break the totem, but aren't fast enough to save the survivor that got hit by NOED
In the first game, 2 survs did the totems and were not doing the gens for 2 minutes, the other 2 managed to do a gen and both get hooked, NOED kept half the team busy without ever activating, but the fact that it didn't activate ensured that the entire team got out in the end
In the second game, the survs had the tools to deal with NOED before it activated but decided to to risk it and just rush the gens and end the game as quickly as possible, because the survivors did not take the time to do the totems, they got punished, and the killer got rewarded with a kill, all for simply pressuring the survivors enough to feel like they HAVE to rush the gens while only using 3 perks.
NOED could definitely be redesigned to feel less cheap, but it's current state is essentially the perk form of the Parasite from Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion, a gameplay element that forces the other side to play how the killer wants to play, rather then how they want to play, which i think is pretty cool
-
What platform someone plays on doesn't matter, so no, i don't dodge
I do, however, appreciate getting PC survivors more due to easier communication, you'd be surprised how helpful pre-game chat can be when doing tome challenges
-
Not really, Mikaela is just a skin, sure the odds of COH increase with her present but that's about the only real downside
-
Azarovs Resting Place and Suffocation Pit are bad if the survs are careless and do the wrong gens, they'll get genlocked
Shelter Woods can be very bad if the RNG gods screw them over
Aside from those 3, i'd say that the worst is probably RCPD due to the lack of good loops, Midwich and The Game have the same problems but they make up for it by being absolutely obnoxious with pallets
-
they said that they're be reworking as well as nerfing them
So some will be nerfed, some will be slightly different, either way, I'm happy that they're doing them all in one big package rather then like 3 per midchapter
-
it's mildly annoying if it happens due to a survivor insta-DCing but i don't mind it in most cases
-
Not really, Dead Hard to me was always incredibly strong or in some use cases completely impossible to counter, the pick rates just confirmed what i already knew
-
Blood Debt, while annoying, isn’t that big of a deal since it’s a multi-trial mission, which, to me, are meant to be on in the background so you make occasional progress on them as you play
personally, I would say that Long Bomb is more annoying for 2 reasons
- Victor’s hitbox is so janky and inconsistent that you will most likely never a get a hit at any range other then point blank
- The quest sometimes bugs and doesn’t fill up even when it’s supposed to
one bit with Victor from 10 metres is impressive enough, but 2 is goddamn painful to get
and you have to do it in one goddamn trial
If the next part has this challenge again but with a higher requirement, I will scream so loud you can hear me from the White House
-

People saying "because I want to carry someone or give them a hatch" is what is wrong with the player base.
It's not "Kumbaya By Daylight" people!! You wanna give people nice escapes. Go play "Care Bear Simulator". Honestly!!
people wanting to offer the last survivor the hatch for whatever reason is not a bad thing
On the other side, a survivor giving a killer a free kill at the end of the game is also not a bad thing
we as a collective player base do what we want so long as it isn’t breaking the rules, and showing empathy isn’t breaking the rules
-
