Just to be clear, the challenges themselves do stick around forever, and as far as I am aware, they will always award Rift Fragments. The Tomes are not time-limited, but the Rift closes after 70 days. Meaning you will be able to do challenges whenever you want, and earn their rewards, but those rewards can only be used to progress in a Rift as long as that Rift is open.
The charms are a matter of opinion - sure, they're useless, but personally I really love them. I think we can all mostly agree that the way things look right now, though, the grind is too much.
My head is spinning with all these terms. I haven't read extensively enough to understand it all and haven't played PTB.
So what happens when the Rift closes after 70 days? How are things different?

Re: this pass business.
I'm not bothered about hanging silly ornaments on my hooks etc.
I've already got sufficient skins for all the killers (except Hillbilly because he has not great skins imo, but I don't care as he's the killer I enjoy the least).
I like doing challenges/rituals and the extra bloodpoints are welcome.
There should NOT be a cut off date where the current challenges disappear and we lose the opportunity to gain whatever unlockables we had left. This really gets up my nose. We can chose a ritual from the chain and hence should be able to do whatever ritual whenever we want.
So:
Good:
- Lots of challenges
-Extra Bloodpoints
-Extra skins
Bad:
-Too much grind in too little time.
-Chain reset.
-Useless knick-knacks.
-
Best:
1. The dark horror element.
2. The licences.
3. The variety of interchangeable perks.
Worst:
1. High player toxicity.
2. Various balance issues.
3. Lack of objectives.

Nurse's Call with Legion. Would be handy.
-
It's odd because she has good map pressure with teleportation and notification abilities, along with the most used killer perk. But I just don't particularly enjoy playing as her.
-
I would like to see new moris, like Michael Myers head stamp from the 2018 film.
The issue would be that there would then be a surge in people using moris, especially the ebony mori. This could really wind up a lot of survivor players.
-
I turned off messages on PS4 exclusively because of DBD.
-
If I was unemployed or didn't have responsibilities or lacked other interests...I think the pass would be easily doable.
But as it stands, it's going to be tricky for me to complete it.
If you could buy the pass and complete it whenever you want at your leisure, it would be far more appealing.
-
When you've just finished building a glorious multi-level palace on Minecraft and hear a hissing sound...
-
I'm getting the impression the only people who are going to finish this pass are those resemblant of the Warcraft guy from South Park.

Everything but charms will be available in the shop at a later date, it simply saves some coin and gives you exclusive charms.

Yes you have 70 days to get as far into the rift as you can. If you don't finish it you can't earn them anymore.
Some things in the rifts will be added to the store later on and some things will stay exclusive and will be gone forever.
Ok cheers.
Been busy recently with work etc. Previously had a lot of grind time but not now.
It does seem like a lot of grinding for a few skins and some knick-knacks.
-
So it resets after 70 days and anything remaining we lose?
Sorry been out of the loop for a bit.
-
How many days do we get to complete this? 90?
-
One who gets found and hooked first 😥
-
Some deserve it eg SWF toxoids.
-
I just like killing.

I completed the achievement using Hex: Devour Hope, personally; took many matches, but it avoided the problem of using up all my Ebony Mori offerings just to have survivors disconnect first thing.
Yeah I understand that Devour Hope and Judith's Tombstone would still allow players to obtain the trophy, but it would be very hard. It would also force players to use Hag's perk (meaning they would need to buy/unlock Hag or Devour Hope in the shrine of secrets or play as Myers).
-
What about the 'Blood On Your Face' trophy? Not saying it's a valid argument to keep Ebonys in but the achievement would be near enough impossible without it.
-
Well, WWE Crown Jewel is on so I'll give that a watch and will probably be interrupted multiple times by muppet trick or treaters ready to eat me out of house and home.
-
My eternal struggle to gain the elusive Wounded Healer trophy on PS4 (using No Mither). When. Will. It. Be. Fixed?
5 months since it was reported. 5. Months.
But yeah. That's why.

I'm not sure.
I am a long time fan of DBD but feel like I'm getting fed up with the game.
I'm no longer excited for cosmetics as truth be told, this game can be as equally frustrating as it can be fun.
In regards to the premium pass content, I think the majority is crap. I like the new Trapper mask and the Nurses' blight weapon, but other then that it's all poop. I'm not sold on the hook decorations and the survivor/killer accessories are just silly.
But naturally we've got wide-eyed "whats up guys" youtubers with even wider-mouths telling up how AAAAAAMAAAAAAAZING the new premium pass content is.
It's not amazing. Stop being such a spanner. There's being passionate about the game. Then there's having a massive coughing fit over a hanging icon accessory.
I love horror. I loved Friday 13th the game. DBD is good but it's not great fun. And all this premium pass malarkey is not really interesting me.
-
First of all. I for one think all this Daddy Myers nonsense is embarrassing. BAH HUMBUG!
But I must say that I am pleased with the new Laurie and Ghostface skins.
-
Money is to be made here. 3/5 of the Hallowed cosmetics (in my opinion, clown/hag/spirit) look very good.
We can grind during the event and earn 2...but they want to sell the others while they're hot.
It's all money.
-
I admit prayer beads are op. But...they're so much fun! 😗
-
I wish they were all dripping blood instead of ooze.
-
Option 2 would be a good idea for brand new perk.
-
I agree this has come at an awkward time for me too. I'm busy and have work as well. Also WWE 2K20 drops on the 22nd. Oh the calamity.
-
The rework is great. He's a threat but a good team of survivors can still survive him.
-
Health and safety. Administration of medical procedures on staired areas is prohibited. Even in the Fog.

sorry, apparently i quoted the wrong person
I said survivors have instas and keys.
I also said Ebonys are great for SWF plums.
Both these statements are true.
To verify, I believe the ebony mori can be exploited like many aspects of DBD.
But I also believe that it is balanced having ebony mori included. Taking in to account the 1vs4 element of the game and the combined perks/items/add-ons/offerings/tactics available to survivors, ebonys are not always overpowering against a team of hardened survivors. And then you have the SWF communication issue.
I chose balanced. As did 45% who took the poll. That's the majority.
A few other users posted similar opinions as me. But that's all they are. Opinions.

So because survivor have something op, a Mori is not op?
Beside that, in my opinion Ebeony Moris are way more overpowered then instaheals/toolboxes etc.
I didn't say that.
-
I'm a killer. Not a letthemgoer.
-
I would like to see an expansion of the Doctor's power.
Maybe have the survivors hallucinate and see fake survivors on gens, injured etc. Maybe fake chests and gens too.
-
I am not a dev obviously, but I think the answer to the question is no.
There may be free seasonal skins (as in outside Hallowed Blight/events grind skins) but even that is doubtful.
Characters take time/work to make, so BHVR would naturally want some return on investment.
Brand new chapters/killers/survivors will cost money...unless the item is unlicensed and available via shards.
-
Because the Demogorgon is a huge ravenous beast and the Pig is a 107lb woman.
-
They really need to rework the totem spawn positioning for all maps. It's usually absolutely ridiculous.
-
I voted up. If it gives the Legion a much needed buff, that's a good thing.
-
I mentioned in a thread recently the idea of Clown having the ability to blow up tonic filled balloons and leave them around the map (gens and exit gates for example). These balloons could pop on close proximity and intoxicate the survivor/s. This would increase his map pressure.
-
Well obviously all 6 (missed the option), but if I had to pick one to be 'yellow stuffed' it would be Demogorgon. Would complement him best.
-
Survivors have instas/keys etc.
Also Ebonys are great for SWF plums.
-
Yes I agree. I personally don't want to increase/decrease the mist, go to Yamaoka, use flashlights or add-ons and about 75% of the perks.
-
And No. It's like having Ruin appear on another totem after it's cleansed to combat gen rush.
-
No dances. No laughing. No memes. No taunts.
-
As much as I enjoy irritating survivors with the Nurse's Call/Prayer Beads combo...I believe the beads need to be nerfed. They need to have a downside effect.
-
Got it third attempt (before EGC). With EGC it's now easier as you don't have to worry about the hatch.
Get Judith's Tombstone (ability to kill with tier 3) and the Fragrant Tuft Of Hair (infinite tier 3).
Use perks Monitor and Abuse, Nurse's Call, Play With Your Food and Ruin.
Slowly get your evil up as fast you can. Then go to work on the survivors.
When you get to the last survivor, stamp that hatch asap then go after that last survivor.
You'll get there eventually.
-
Whilst we're at it, lets ban Trapper from putting traps around gens and totems! It's just not fair!
-
If a survivor does that, the killer should able to grab the survivor and slam the hatch on the survivors' head.
-
The Saw phrase (not the perk) "Make Your Choice" has a lot of relevance here: Stop doing gens so your teammates can get their traps off with less pressure OR continue doing the gens to get closer to a possible escape quicker.
Comes down to teamwork.
