Yeah, there is not really a reason against it IMO. It makes no difference for Survivor at all and it would be a QoL for Killer (since some people probably have tons of offerings on Killers they dont play or dont play anymore).
Exactly it would let people feel more comfortable playing other killer and playing the new survivors more of they like them. You would still need to get perks on all kilelrs and survivors but I dont see why items and addons can just be made into basicly 2 mass inventories for killer and survivors to use for there account.
As well i feel people would buy more skins for survivor if all the items and offerings were together because me personally I dont buy any survivor skins out side the one I level up mainly because all my items and offering are on him.

I'd rather Shattered Hope become basekit, and if a Hex is supposed to ignite and the only available totems are booned, the hex overwrites the boon.
No shattered hope shouldnt be base kit boons need a limit so they can be buffed into being more viable but not broken sense they can be place infinite right now if we add a limit they can make the perks better

My kill rates aren't that high, they're just not below the goal.
These are the official stats though:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/1YNP02JQBK0J/screenshot-20260327-161120-chrome.jpg
Plenty well above 60. Guess these killers need nerfs.
and im sorry until we get actual stat tracking i mane all the stat pick rate kill rate dc rate escape rate im not believing it the devs constantly lie what's stopping them from lying about this its not hard no one can check them and it give survivors ammo to use againt anyone that complains that survivors is the the power role specifically swfs

OP asks a normal question regarding the statistics of ALL PLAYERS TOGETHER
Are they, though? Because we don't know what these stats are from.
Night light sense behavior doesnt want to show stats because if they did we could actually call them out on stuff.

I have absolutely zero faith that if boons became usable, we wouldn't immediately get avalanched with complaints about them until they're nerfed away into obscurity again.
If you can't handle boons now, you won't handle them when they're limited charges and actually effective.
Okay let's say this again i think books are mid to weak if we add a limit to them they can be buffed with iut causing massive problems sense they have another lever to mess with in balance and it would add more skill expression to it knowing when to use them and not just placing it on the first Totem you see. Right now they feel pointless to cleanse as killer the only one that has an impact that I have ever noticed is the recovery one. The books could be a cool skill of survivors to learn when to properly use them for maximum value but right now ots basicly a place and forget most of the time.
-
@Mazoobi said:
There's no way we're complaining about boons of all perks
im complaining abiut how they are designed. The perks go from mid to bad and adding a limit to how often you can place them would allow for them to be buffed with out making them broken its another thing the can adjust for balance and the more levers a core consept has the better it can be balanced.

Boons are perfect counter measures against full hex builds. Like in current meta against Jasons its effectively to bring CoH to get rid of Pentimento
CoH nowdays isn't that OP as it was on release
And you can bring perk on your killer to permanently destroy boons + totems
ow so bring a perk that might not do literally anything making the already misrable killer experience even worse hexs have limits why cant boons it would let them balance them better on an individual level as well survivors pick where they put there hex while killers dont and alot of the time the hex spawn right in front of the survivors face getting 0 value

Sprint Burst is the most powerful and easiest to use, yet the hardest to master, so I don't want to nerf it too heavily.
It would be best if the effect were limited to moving straight ahead, ending immediately upon turning.
99 sprint burst doesnt take all that much skill and with vigil its even easier to have on demand the problem is people slow walk for no reason because they dont want to learn to simply 99 it. Its like 99 ghost face its not hard to do but makes a world of difference. Personly I think exhaustion should give you a 10% reduced action speed when your effected by it.

I won against a very popular comp streamer on Garden of Joy.
So according to your logic comp players are just as bad.
Don't get me wrong, there are a ton of people that give up at the slghtest inconvenience. But that's not happening in all matches. I still win pretty consistently and I'm not even running a max meta build.
It's just a TON of experience.
35% of my last 100 games on killer and survivors has someone dc after first down I have been tracking it because its frustrating to lose because people just want to give up after a 12 second chase.

This tournament caught my interest because unlike usual tournaments that have major restrictions to keep it balanced, this one had minimal rules, which made balance similar to normal and it possible to see top-level gameplay under those conditions, but there were still some major differences:
- both teams knew the map in advance. This had a major impact, which is discussed later
- the maps were on average somewhat killer-sided, and there was only 1 map that was very unfavoured for killer
- the players were playing for hook stages and gen completions, which wasn't necessarily the same as kills and escapes
- each team could not pick the same killer more than once per set
- each team could ban 1 killer per map (resulting in 1-2 total bans per maps applied to both teams)
The overall kill rate was 50.3%, but killer only won 26.3% of the time, which was 11.8% less than survivor. The lower win rate compared to kill rate was due to killers being far more likely to 4k when they won, as shown in the 2nd table.
Day 1 had similar results to Day 2 + Finals, so the stats didn't change much later in the tournament, which had higher skilled teams.
For all tables, win = 3-4k, draw = 2k, and lose = 0-1k.
Kills Occurrence rate
0 6.6%
1 31.6%
2 35.5%
3 6.6%
4 19.7%
MapsThe map data was mainly useful for seeing which maps were played. NightLight kill rates and kill rate rankings were included for each map to evaluate how killer/survivor-sided the maps were. The average map was ranked 17.6 out of 44 maps in kill rate (40.0%), so the average map was somewhat killer-sided. Dead Dawg Saloon, which was one of the most killer-sided maps, was played the most. There was only 1 map that was very survivor-sided, which was Azarov's Resting Place, and it was played twice.
The map data wasn't useful for kill and win rates since the maps were known in advance, so an optimal killer and build was typically chosen for each map and it was more so showing how the best killers for each map performed. For example, 83.3% of Hillbilly's matches were played on Rotten Fields. 100% of Singularity's matches were played on Dead Dawg Saloon. 100% of Dredge's matches were played on Midwich Elementary School. The map data for each killer is available in the "Killer by map stats" sheet.
KillersMainly only top tier killers were played. The less played killers were typically picked on optimal maps. For example, Singularity was played on Dead Dawg Saloon 100% of the time and Dredge on Midwich Elementary School 100% of the time.
As previously discussed, the optimal killer was typically chosen for each map, so the kill and win rates were less useful since they reflected the performance of killers on a good map. Regardless, Nurse and Singularity were practically the only killers with much higher than 50% kill rate. Blight, Ghoul, and Krasue achieved approximately 50% kill rate. The rest of the high tier killers mostly performed poorly. The Hillbilly and Henry stats were much worse than they seemed since they were only played on extremely favourable maps. Hillbilly was played on Rotten Fields, one of his best maps, 83.3% of the time. Henry was only played on Dead Dawg Saloon and Midwich Elementary School, 2 extremely favourable maps.
Note that this tournament was played about 2 weeks before the Nurse and Blight nerfs in patch 9.6.0.
Individual players and teamsKnightLight was the main player that sustained a very high kill and win rate and performed far better than most players. KnightLight actually carried killers quite hard. If KnightLight's killer matches were excluded from the data set, the stats for killer were much worse, as shown in the 3rd table.
ConclusionThis tournament demonstrated that under balancing similar to a normal DBD match, a 50% kill rate can be achieved when playing the top tier killers on their optimal maps, but killers will still lose 12% more than survivors. Though, kill and win rates would be much lower under fully normal conditions since:
- the killer wouldn't know the map in advance, which would prevent them from choosing the optimal killer, perks, and addons.
- this tournament featured maps that were somewhat killer-sided on average and practically no very survivor-sided maps, so killers would normally get worse maps
- mainly only Nurse, Blight, Ghoul, and Krasue were able to achieve >=50% kill rates on their good maps. These are top tier killers and people usually play much lower tier killers. Also, this tournament was played about 2 weeks before the Nurse and Blight nerfs in patch 9.6.0.

"Game breaking" according to which alarmist content creator? Because it hasn't been canned yet, that's not happening until a later hotfix if you bothered to read the patch notes. So the "game breaking" perk is currently live and... barely anyone is using it. If it were game breaking then everyone and their mother would be getting the most out it right now. That's not happening.
Just because people dont use a perk doesnt mean its not stupid strong look at should the burden easily top 3 perks for survivor but rarely used

I swear vigil is the problem. That perk needs to be split into multiple perks or just gutted. Unhealthy design that counters way too much and buffs too many already strong perks. A survivor pairing vigil with stb, sprint burst and deliverance or dramaturgy get so much value on top of just so happening to kill every mangled perk and addon, all exposed perks, clown and Freddy completely, it's just busted.

Unless the cooldown was short, which would make the problem worse, they would hit D-tier quickly. 5 Seconds might land them in C tier, but would open up new issues.
Buffing the lower tier killers is not dependent on nerfing the S-tiers. Nurse does need to be addressed, but putting her on a CD wouldn't 'fix' her, it would either destroy her or overpower her. Blight was already significantly nerfed and is already much less of an issue. Ghoul is still an issue of his own, but he's another matter.
A killer with an ability to blink up to 20 meters and attack once per 10 seconds, would be useless. That's not enough to down anyone, and it's almost enough time for a surv to heal. Her movement is 3.85 m/s, which is to say her movement is lower than Survivor movement. With 10 second intervals, she would be instantly worthless as a result. Survivors could easily destroy her.
If you move the cooldown to 5 seconds, it may be tennable, but now you can't run her out of charges either. Any lower and she becomes too strong.
Furthermore, her blink is actually mechanically kitted for being used multiple times in a row. What you're talking about is not a nerf, what you're talking about is literally changing how her ability works at base. It's not as simple as 'add a cooldown', she would need to be rebuilt. Chain-blinking is hard-coded into what she is.You really think nurse would be d teir if ot was a single cool down. Also the chain blinks would still be a thing how do you not get this nothing would change n how the power works you just have to wait the full recharge instead of partial recharge so for blight instead of waiting 2 seconds to be able to dash again would have to wait 10 second and nurse instead of waiting 3 second you have to wait 9 so it would reward good player who use there resources well and punish bad player who just spam them because of the short cooldown. They would drop to low a or high b tier not d tier.

Henry's nerfs were minor. People don't play him because he's not easy, yet he's still strong. That's the problem—more and more, people want everything to be easier. And if the perks have been "insane" for years, before all these overstuffed A tiers starting dropping constantly, what has changed to make killers suddenly unable to deal with them now? Because they've seemed to be able to work around them all this time.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4096268#Comment_4096268
Like what changes? Healing builds have been nerfed by diminishing. Everyone seems to have forgotten medkit add-ons were nerfed some months ago. Gens haven't changed. Deja Vu and Resi are still the gen perks I see the most. Nothing has changed with hookstates. And pallet density also came with main building nerfs, plus most of the pallets are tiny, unsafe nothings between a rock and a tree. You can walk around half the pallets in this game. There are almost no killers who don't have some way to work around pallets, like ranged attacks, teleports, or speed.
The constant buffs to the rest of the game around those perks like more pallets more hook timer survivors spawning separated and people just getting better over time. And no people dont play the first because hes just weak and his counterplay is easy hes not bad but he not powerful sense his counterplay is to just run but not in a straight line. Killers dont want it easy they want it fair the effort should be rewarded but its not killer feels like a 9 to 5 while survivor I can win while watching a video.
-
Sometime you just cant so you leave with the 3 sense thats still a win. The main problem is people try going in all at once have the trapper leave the shackwhile other people do generators ad well hes just an m1 killer just be smart and look out for straps and dont just blindly run around with yiur head cut off
-

I was being ironic thats what the /s is for because people are using hens 200 winstreak to justify dcing giving up under hook and wanting him nerfed into the ground not realizing the problem is the perks and matchmaking.

What fast paced meta though? Did survivor running speed increase? Did gen times go down? Most of the popular perks are still years old. SB is still meta. What's mostly changed is that powerful killers keep coming out and people want every killer to be that way.
Ya people want strong killers to be able to compete with the insane perks survivors have had for years but for some reason only nurse can stay as s+ teir and blight as s teir everyone cries about the new killer they get nerfed and people learn the counterplay after making them illet even worse it happened with the first

I know Dredge isn't —
My man. My brother in christ. Dredge's kit encompasses more than just the CD of his ability. His ability is also a map wide teleport, with an insta kill on condition. Additionally he has nightfall.
Nurse, just blinks. Blight, just dashes. That's it. There is no secondary anything. Neither of them are map wide teleports. This is apples or oranges. Just because Dredge can have a cooldown and be B-tier does not mean that all killers can have cooldowns and be a B-tier. That's not how that works.
Huntress with a 10 second cooldown would be F-tier, immediately.the blink and dash get to attack. and again this wouldnt make them bad it would just nerf them from s tier to low a tier. they are the strongest killers in the game and and the blink and dash are better then dredges teliport sense you have a more control where you are going can see everyone and can attack which dredge cant. just nerf these 2 so other killers can be buffed
-
@NeverSolus said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4096207#Comment_4096207
That's… That's the point, my man. If they implemented the nerf you are suggesting they would be D-tier over night. A nurse that can only blink once and then enters a cooldown of any meaningful length is useless. Blight's ability is similar. The abilities are built to be used rapid times in succession. That's why they have charges.
Nurse doesn't need to be the best, I'm not arguing that. No one in this thread (which is just us) is arguing that.
Simply nerfing two killers into being beyond worthless isn't going to help anything. They'd have to be rebalanced to handle the change.im not tho im suggesting they would be weaker but no d teir also dredge isnt d teir bes low b tier

Lol, lamo even. It does not matter if you cleanse Noed or not it only needs to work long enough to get a down and take it to either basement or right next to the hex. Either way you are guaranteed a minimum of two kills if you do this. And your whole assumption requires everyone to be in a four man swf so everyone acts perfectly with up to date information so it's already an auto win against soloq.
you must be going against really bad players if basement trapper works this well for you trapper has really easy counter play and basement trapper isnt even that good

You realize if that was done they would both have to be buffed significantly to keep them viable, right?
or we could just not buff them sense they are the 2 strongest killers by a large margin and billy a killer that needs significantly more skill to use could be the best killer in the game and hes still free so the argument for nurse needing to be the best falls away
-

Then just M1 them, problem solved, or better yet just go away from hook if you refuse to m1.
So again just become a worse ghost face. the anti camp is just clunky and all it does it make it feel bad to play artist on tighter maps she already the hardest killer in the game why make her harder for no reason.
-
@NeverSolus said:
That would quite literally not work within the structure of their power or kit. Dredge isn't meant to use charges of his ability, Nurse and Blight are.
Dredge does use charges tho when he teliports to lockers but has a single cooldown and im saying nurse and blight should work the same when they recharge so blight injecting himself and nurse being out of breath they should have one coold down no matter if they used one charge or all charges just like dredge.

Yeah that's why you put on deadlock and noed. It no longer matters if you ignore them and the killer still gets a guaranteed 2 kill minimum and if it's soloq then you get four kills.
Noed is a bad perk and so easy to cleanse and Deadlock cool slows the game a little but you just work on another gen then go back if you know how to Deadlock isnt all that much of a hisdorince sense you just work on a new gen and the old one still has its progress.

HAhhahahah how? Seriously how does that even happen to someone? You have to be standing right in front of the hooked survivor for so long? What the heck happened?
I couldnt shoot off bird at the people going for unhook and they were able to turn a 2k into 0 k sense I couldnt use my ability to protect my hooks after gates but if I didnt have this dumb anti camp I could use my ability and not be a worse ghost face near hooks. It also costs time after hooking sense the perks I use give me info on gens being worked on and those seconds can cost me generators.

Give it enough time and it'll happen. Granted it will probably because you step in a trap near shack before you know you're facing a Trapper, but it happens to even the best players sometimes.
Of course, once you know you're facing a Trapper and where the basement spawned, there's no excuse for it.
But yeah, people are ignorant about it; I've had teammates throw themselves into the trapped basement when the killer is right there even when the person on hook has kindred. Same with basement Bubbas. It is pretty wild watching people be lemmings. It's even more wild when you're on hook, holding on to try to give your team uninterrupted time on gens, and they keep coming.
You really gotta love SBMM.A mix of survivors altruism and survivors going next are the majority of my loses on survivors and why I hate the devs seem to just use kill rate to buff and nerf killers.

Trapper is overtuned if you play basement trapper with the right loadout. It's next to impossible to lose and It'd be for the best if that playstyle was nerfed and he got buffs in general to help him.
I have yet to lose to a basement trapper. Just stop going in all at once and do generators. Altruism is the number one survivor killer. The amount of game I have lost because my other teammates go in to save while thd killer is breaking a pallet bear hook or hasn't even had the chance to leave yet is inane. And as killer the amount of times I have won slugging all 4 people because they all true yo pallet or flashlight save. Survivors need to learn how to use the hook timer to there advantage.

Just means that more anti-camp features should be added to the other killers. We should not be rewarding no skill and mindless plays.
The anti camp has literally lost me game. Immagin if survivors couldnt use items near completed generators or if someone working in a generator because thats the equivalent. Its also one of the reason slugging has gotten more popular why hook when it turns of yout power why not just slug and not deal with it. Anti camp just make the game clunky.

What truth, people are just speaking their opinions, your assumptions people are "Survivor sided" is the issue, killers are even speaking in this thread.
You just can't have a back and forth discussion, that's all there is to it.
If you don't like that, then boohoothe problem is most discussions will be survivors dominated because there are just more survivors and opinion that favor the many will get more support its just how humans are.

It really shows that the game is extremely broken when the player driving the killer knows how to play it.
BHVR balances the game so it only somewhat functions if the survivors are all good at the game and the killer player is terrible at the game. If the killer just simply knows how to play, the end result is 100% predicted. The definition of unbalanced and broken.
They have done unrestricted comp games and survivors always win survivor is the stronger role the problem is survivors arnt as good as they think they are same for killers but killers dont have the problem of survivors just giving up.

I don't believe why this is downvoted so much. It's spot on.
Knowing how wonky and inaccurate the matchmaking in DBD can be, stomping random public lobbies and calling that a winstreak is hardly worth noticing.
Even that Blight guy folded like wet cardboard when he finally faced a team ready to stop him.
Let's see if Hens is able to consistently win against a few fully coordinated teams on comms with no perk restrictions. 10 games in a row.
Then I'll be impressed.its being downvotes because these people dont want to admit that most survivors suck at the game just like most killers do so when we have this horrible matchmaking and a really good player it causes large streaks due to that. also a comp unrestricted tournament was done and survivors won every match because survivors perks are insanely broken when you have coms to use them together and is why perks are banned in comp due to them being so broken but needing alot of game knowledge to use well hence why the average player sucks with them.

A fellow From watcher! We absolutely need Boyd and the rest of the cast in DBD, it'd be such a natural inclusion!
I don't wanna say any spoilers, but there's also a fantastic option for Killer. If someone out there reading hasn't seen the show, please check it out!
