I dont think you understand what hypocrisy means if you thinks it's hyprocitic to want someone not to cheat at a game to win and expecting "privacy" because your 3D model is in a game 😂

How is it cheating? when you stream you're sharing your screen with the world. If we were playing LAN and I turned my screen towards you and shouted "look! look! look everyone! look at me play!" and then you just happened to use that information, would it be your fault or mine?

  • Its gotten to me too. I'm not just playing in the most toxic way as killer, had a number of survivors dc. I've lost all sympathy. If people want to play toxic then they'll get toxic.

I have to say it's funny when the 4 man ttv crew rolls in with all the best items and 2 bnp, you get the 4k and they start crying after the game. Aww why so sad, no highlight reel for you?

Are you ok? Survivors don't know who the killer is, even if they wanted to they couldn't, and if you're a killer and see ttv you could make the choice not to be "broadcasted to the world" by dodging.

They see the killer after the game and give plenty of salt or smack talk, and some survivors don't put ttv in their name. Not to mention you don't know if the killer is a streamer.

I'm quite a private person and if given the option I'd opt-out of being streamed. It is what it is though, I just think there's a real hypocrisy to cry about being stream sniped whilst recording other people, broadcasting them to the world and profiting off them. Seems entitled.

Again camping and tunneling are legit strats that do not make you "bad". They make you sweaty and you should not need to do them ESPECIALLY if you play this game professionally like most streamers do, but you seem to ignore the video i posted earlier of the one you call better getting destroyed by people who play like brown ranks aside from being expert-M1 holders.

There's a reason why I mostly watch Otz and Scott, because they are way more humble and realize when games are basically handed to them. I like that.

I'm not saying he plays perfectly, he likes chases he always says this and sometimes he lets gens go to commit to a chase - deep down it's because thats his favourite part of the game but he follows his heart and not his head at times and yeah it's a flaw in his playstyle.

My point was that an example streamer you gave wasn't all that good either. Even Otz can get wrecked on stream and if you watch his clown games he's having to really sweat for some wins. I don't follow US streamers because the games tend to have a larger audience over there which leads to a more casual audience, you can tell this from the way survivors play. Definitely easier games on average (note I said on average) than EU servers.

I think you hate tru3 though and that's ok. I'm not sure how his skill or lack of skill relates to his poll though?

Welcome to effective killerplay, I guess tournament killers are "boosted" too then?

Don't mistake actual killergameplay with killers trying to make the game entertaining for their viewers. In the End Dowsey gets Ridiculous winstreaks and challenges while tru3 get's reckt at game number 5 against bad survivors who don't drop pallets when a bubba is right on their ass. Personally I rarely play like Dowsey does because in the end it's like sweating at mario party to me but I can't pick apart his mistakes as easily as I do on tru3's videos.

When MMR was being tested and all the 5000+ hour streamers were being put against complete newbies, Otz and to a certain extent Tru3 were going easy on the survivors because they felt bad for them.

Dowsey got genrushed and hard to hard tunnel out people who didn't even have 10% of the hours he has lmao pick on the people so new they don't even have Decisive unlocked yet. Sure looks like the actions of a great player.

He cherrypicks his content more than any other content creator I know of. Again there's a difference between tournament and public. I don't know of any other content creator who leans on camp & tunnel strategies so heavily in public matches. In the sweatiest games? sure but outside of that no.

He's not terrible but he's nowhere near as good as his cherrypicked youtube videos would have you believe. He straight up even lies about games he loses, surely someone so good wouldn't feel insecure?

NOED is a crutch for bad killers - tru3talent back when hexperks got introduced.

"I get the best survivors" - guy who plays on the same server as everyboody else

    "I played perfectly"

Not a fact, no matter how much he tried to spin it.

His videos already got ripped apart here, especially the bubba one where he got "genrushed" and "never made a mistake" with a ton of easily identifiable mistakes.

in fact most of his videos are easily debunked, if you want to watch a better killermain maybe watch Dowsey if you're actually interested in learning from somebody besides otz or scott or umbra if you're a fan of huntress.

    LMAO

Not to get into streamer debates but Dowsey isn't even close to tru3. He resorts to hard camp & tunnel more than any of the big names, he's kinda boosted.

Not saying a killer can't use those or shouldn't use those as its unavoidable at certain times but you can tell which players are boosted when they lean on that strategy so heavily.

I respect your opinion but I judge killers based on their powers for the most part so I have to disagree with the sentiment that Trickster is the most interesting. I'm sure that's not the same for you so I respect your point of view

I would argue Twins is the most interesting since PH in terms of power design. Trickster is just recycling of previous ideas already done (and done better, too)

I agree that the twins was an interesting concept and the power was an interesting idea, I'm mainly looking at it in terms of execution. I don't find blight fun to play at all for example, Trickster for all his weaknesses, was actually quite fun to play as.

  • @Breque said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2026264#Comment_2026264

Sorry to say but if like, if your problem is literally that, it just seems that you need to get gud

So if something is boring for killer the killer needs to get gud but if something is boring for survivor it needs a nerf. Certainly no bias in you is there.

  • I wouldn't say I'm excited for anything until they fix the poor job they have been doing with map reworks but I feel more interested in Trickster than I did Twins who I didn't buy. Also the blight dlc, I shamefully bought it just for Unyding, I'd take Trickster over Blight anyday he was far more fun to use and his power much more interesting.

So really it's all opinion. Trickster is sadly the most interesting killer since PH, if you ignore PH then Trickster is the most interesting killer since Oni. Last year was a real dud in terms of interesting killers aside from PH who somehow ended up being one of their very best.

  • I would have thought the sarcasm would have been obvious lol no wonder Sluzzy has it so easy

  • The new chapters are meant to be fun for survivors. Stop being entitled killer main, we have enough OP killers in the game with Spirit, nurse, freddy, deathslinger, pyramid, leatherface, huntress, and now soon wraith as well, we don't need anymore.

  • @Breque said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2022868#Comment_2022868

Let suppose that i literally learn the playstile of someone that i never have seen in my life

Would still remain the main problem

She is boring to go against.

Holding W around large or indoor maps, areas full of god pallets and safe pallets, stacked second chance perks at every opportunity....plenty on the survivor side is boring too. Deal with it.

  • "There's no skill or (real) counterplay to this combo"

Repressed alliance? I can't think of any more of a solid counter to Pop than a perk that literally blocks off the generator 😆

I see DS/Unbreakable more than BBQ/Pop. Pop isn't so good because most of the time the survivors Pop the gen before you get there, you don't see gen progress so don't always know which gen needs it the most and most importantly, with the nerf to the timer often you have to ignore the Pop kick to chase a survivor. It's a good perk but I don't see it as this skilless unwinnable combo and honestly I'd rather go against Pop/BBQ than Ruin anyday. This combo is only really a pain on a freddy or a Billy especially when they hook survivor after survivor and keep getting stacks.

  • The problem with Plague is that the game depends on the survivors, how often they choose to cleanse.

When they used to spend all game sick then thana would be useful also monitor, you'd often catch them by surprise and have short chases. Things like blood echo are useful too against survivors that refused to cleanse at all, throw in Pop as well for slowdown.

Or you get those groups that keep cleansing in which case thana and blood echo are completely wasted, monitor not as essential but something like infectious fright would be top tier. Maybe a chase perk or aura perk too.

I mostly play a safe build on plague. Corrupt, Pop, infectious....and I can't remember the last perk I think it's discordance, find 2 people together for quick infection. It's a generic build that kind of covers all bases.

  • @WeenieDog said:

I think the fact that mother's dwelling being a big map makes it look like a bigger problem than it is. Holding w can be strong, but the sheer size of the map makes it so you can't cut paths or break chase to go for someone else without losing a bit of time over it.

If anything, I feel this shows that maps should follow some size standard, but nothing specific about survivors themselves.

That's all they need to do to fix it mostly. Stop making country sized maps (mothers dwelling), stop making maps that kind of force survivors into holding W (lerys, midwich).

A lot of survivors won't play this way as often on the other maps.

  • Yes it’s fair. I can see why they dislike it but it’s fair. It’s their choice to broadcast their game to the world so you can’t blame others for watching. Afterall no streamer ever messaged me and said “hey mind if I broadcast you to the world?” They just do it regardless.

  • @Zixology said:

The point is that it's something the survivors can use to avoid the killer. And anytime there's something that's pro-survival, 99% of the community complains about it.

The point is that it’s more powerful than it should be for something that takes no skill. Afterall isn’t that the survivor complaint about Freddy? That the power to skill ratio isn’t balanced?

If Freddy needs a nerf then the devs need to nerf this too. Stop making maps like Midwich and Lerys, and don’t make maps as huge as Mothers dwelling. This tactic doesn’t come into play as often on other maps. Its also one of the most boring parts of the game because all you can do is hold W until you catch up to the survivor.

  • Haunted grounds is a junk perk and massively overrated imo, and no it was definitely nerfed because of Ruin because everyone was taking undying/ruin

  • @supersonic853 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2024797#Comment_2024797

To be fair though isnt nurse wildly considered the only one who can battle the best swf? For instance Supaalf scrims with team Oracle before every tournament he also faces team Agony. Sometimes they win sometimes he wins. And asked if he could probably do the same with say spirit "not a chance". You gotta have some killer who can handle the top level of play who at least involves a good bit of skill on the killers part and so far nurse is the best we got.

And thats the point I keep making so I’m glad a tourney tryhard says it too.

Anyone that tries to put Spirit on or above Nurse in tier lists is straight up dreaming, and likely just salty about all the Spirits they see every day.

When you play against the upper tier of spirits and nurses the difference in power is obvious and immediately apparant.

  • @Yumyumtasty said:

Who does this killer exist for? The 50 people who play this game like a tournament? She needs a rework badly, League had a Champ like this and even tho like less than 0.1% of the playerbase could play him he got nerfed because he ruined every game that he was in.

    This.

You don’t need 2000 hours in Nurse alone to dominate with her, you just need to be “good enough”. Some games you get lucky, some maps really work well for her.

It astounds me that people cry about how Spirit and Deathslinger have “no counterplay” when Nurse has literally none. You can dance, spin and zig zag around in front of her but at the end of the day you’re only hoping that she misses. At least with Spirit pallets and walls provide a solid barrier.

On the EU PC servers there are plenty of Nurses that are good enough. A lot of survivors just don’t have what it takes to play against a competent Nurse. Worse still is the fact that they bring the full gen slowdown perks like they’re running for a damn tournament and many slug at 5 gens.

People let it slide because they find it fun to run baby Nurses around but at the high level this killer is broken and you need swf to defeat one.

I like your honesty, but if it hurts so much to play why even bother?

im gonna have a few more matches today and then ply something else for the next couple days. It’s just way too toxic atm.

Because I wanted the bloodpoints but like yourself I was at the point where I was ready to just scrap the game and move on to something else. It was Bubba or nothing.

Some days the toxic squads are consistent and it’s just one troll team after another. Camping Bubba was a way to get even.

  • @Seanzu said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2025029#Comment_2025029

so when Tru3 is losing, it's op survivors, when he's winning it's bad players? and you have proof of this?

I wish I moved the goalpost as much as this forum does when it comes to this.

I said games where he has to sweat.

If you look at games where he gets the 4k without breaking a sweat you can see the survivors aren’t top tier just based on the way they move and the decisions they make.

Remember we were talking about balancing around the top survivors.

  • Not gonna lie I’ve done some camping Bubba builds recently . It was a way to let off steam after the usual toxic swf coldwind OoO tbagging players. Sometimes the game gets to you and it becomes a vicious circle of toxicity.

  • @ArchFox said:

People calling holding W boring... I'm not really sure what else survs are supposed to do? Holding W is how you run away from killers. It's the designated "run away" button. If there are no pallets or windows, holding W is the only option survs have. Should they just stand still and let the killer down them to avoid being boring?

######### me, people really will whine about anything.

Nobody is saying you can’t run away in a straight line, we’re discussing it in terms of balance. Why should survivors be able to run the killer across the entire map just by holding forwards? Why should they be able to waste so much of the killers time with little or no skill required?

Its no different to all the threads complaining about how Freddy can have the highest killrates without requiring as much skill as other killers. Its a question of balance. Players on either side should have to work for their victory.

  • Infectious is spotty right now. Sometimes you get the bubble but not the scream, othertimes you get the scream but not the bubble. Yeah there are a lot of sound problems too. The game tends to think survivors are further than they are if there’s a wall between you, even if its just a single outdoor wall which wouldnt affect sound. Also survivors are meant to be quieter when crouched but they’re actually silent to the killer

  • I can’t wait until he Haddonfield rework and most of the issues aren’t addressed. 4-5 years of feedback ignored.

If they fix everything the devs can bump this post themselves and I’ll gladly eat crow but I really don’t think the rework for this map is going to be what people are hoping for.

  • @Seanzu said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2024739#Comment_2024739

You have to see the irony in arguing that we should balance around the top players, but then saying that true is above average so we shouldn't take into account what top killers can do, lol.

But these games mentioned are tru3 vs mediocre players for a lot of them.

the games where tru3 sweats is the top players vs top players. In those games I’m not sure what his average kill rate would be.

  • Where to begin?

Traditionally I’ve always thought rotten fields. Its boring, statistically one of the safest maps, always seems to feature in 90% of genrush videos, and if you’re corn blind it’s horrendous.

These days though Badham is getting on my nerves more than any coldwind map. Its the same loops, same windows, same hold W zones every time. It’s so boring. I can’t believe they’ve worked on these maps twice and they’re still this bad.

  • @AChaoticKiller said:

No his perks are pretty good

His expose perk is pretty good on certain killers like nurse or hag both of which i main.

His window blocker perk is also pretty good so i might run that on m1 killers and if i ever feel like playing twins which i never do that perk is probably the best for her so vaults don't screw victor as much.

His perk that blocks the exit gate switches is the only bad perk but since it's 42 seconds which is a long time it might be good on certain builds on certain killers, best i can think of is upcomming wraith with noed+that and then some slowdown.

Fair enough. I do think the exposed perk will get nerfed by the next chapter though, just a hunch but maybe I will be wrong.

  • Survivors can run away when they want, the problem is how much time holding W can waste.

At a time when every survivor loves to cry out “Freddy takes no skill!” “Spirit takes no skill!” “Remove bloodlust!” Somehow nobody seems to notice the elephant in the room which is that just running forwards can take up so much of a killers time, drag them sof ar from the objective, and is sometimes more powerful than any actual looping or juking. Worse still are the maps that permit this and enable this style of gameplay. Lerys, Midwich, Hawkins, Mothers dwelling, most of the chases there is just the survivor holding forwards while the rest sit on gens. It takes no skill but hey spirit/freddy/bloodlust are the real problems.

As a killer I will say that those that run early are far more frustrating to play against than those that sit on gens until the last second. I don’t want to jump into PC vs console debate because I believe all players are equally good but I noticed this style of gameplay crept in with console users via crossplay and its really powerful lol but I was born and raised in the PC tryhard scene so I tend to sit on a gen until I can feel the killers breath on my neck. Someone once took their time and watched 100 Killergames on Stream of various Content Creators and tru3 had a solid 3K on average for every game.

The big point is, he is always going over matches he lost for minutes, while he brushes matches where he 4Ks off. And most of his 4Ks are also not those where he just slugs everyone, usually everyone in his games get a lot of points, so it is not like he has to sweat in them.

So I would also take videos like this from him with a grain of salt. He often focusses on the worst outcome while ignoring the normal or good outcomes.

He has around 6000 hours though and plays the game every single day for about 5 hours per day. He hardly represents the average player.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

I think it's laughable that people think priority #1 should be nerfing Freddy, Deathslinger, Spirit, while Nurse is the most busted killer ever made.

Yeah I think people are letting their bias skew their view. People hate Freddy because he’s so common but Nurse is rarely seen.

They act like Freddy is the most powerful force ever made in reality he’s a good but not spectacular killer with a few annoying things. He could maybe use a tweak or two but doesn’t need a nerf. Meanwhile these people are fine with a killer that can teleport though any kind of defence you have, but thats ok because they only go against mediocre nurses

  • This has been known for a while but I’m glad he’s refreshing people on it. This is the kind of gameplay I was referring to in my “why doesnt survivor take skill” thread. You can take the killer on a map tour just by holding W and some maps like Mothers dwelling, Midwich, Lerys and Hawkins all offer this as an effective and powerful playstyle. Theres little in there for the killer other than holding W. I also can’t see why people want bloodlust removed when holding W is a thing. Bloodlust takes no skill and needs to go but holding W is perfectly ok?

  • @kylerabdcgamer10 said:

They were just so god damn lazy with her map, Its just the huntress's map and realm with some poorly done stone pillars and the main building.... The reason why the re-use of the realm/map is so bad is because it could have been amazing, her lore and the location of the temple are supposed to be located in "ancient Babylonia/ "Iraq now" " .....not the red forest.... "in Russia near and around Chernobyl".... I feel as if this was most definitely them being lazy and not wanting to experiment and create a new "sandy type" realm.

here's an image of what the scenery could have looked like. Just look up an image of an Russian forest to see why this divide is so jarring.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/C5QE2PFN18R7/babylon.jpg

The strange thing is Legion got his own realm just before. I feel like if a killer had to be shoehorned into red forest Legion would fit in much better than Plague.

IIRC they were working on Badham at the time, turning it into 5 maps and touching it up so maybe that had something to do with it. Or maybe not.

  • If you dont like him why buy it at all? Its not like the perks are any good

  • If this becomes meta it will kill the game. They need to give this perk the MoM treatment and nerf it until it’s useless.

  • I still want Plague to get her own realm.

  • Lithe tends to end chases better than any other exhaustion perk I've noticed. Likely due to the added obstruction of the killer having to slow vault the window while you're in the distance. I just don't see why smash hit needs that extra second? or will 4 seconds become the norm for exhaustion perks now.

  • Probably because anything pro-survivor that comes up involves more second chances, or nerfing the only viable killers because they're "not fun".

Survivor doesn't need buffs, it just needs some QOL changes to reduce the negatives and some changes to bring solo in line with SWF. A good example would be a totem counter, or a way to share info like in Junds video. This would buff solo and wouldn't really affect SWF. You could also make BT distance related rather than TR so that Freddy and stealth killers couldn't get away with camping. These would make solos and duos more powerful, reduce some of the unfun aspects of survivor such as surprise NOED or camping, and it wouldn't overpower the current rank 1 swfs.

  • I have to say it's amazing how many swf red ranks just happen to have that one friend at rank 17. Such a coincidence.

  • No he's garbage

  • @MadLordJack said:

Smash Hit is... It's not a distance gaining perk, it's a chase ending perk. You get about 3.5 seconds of speed boost with a 2 second stun on the killer, who probably has to also either break the pallet or walk around the loop.

I am not taking off Spirit Fury/Enduring for the next month.

I don't get it. You get stunned for 1 second, the survivor gets a 4 second sprint burst. Spirit fury/enduring will still be useless against this. Better to use consider the chase lost.

Eh not really, I feel you are overvalueing it a bit.

Wglf will never save you 8 seconds. By the time the killer finished wiping their weapon and walked away 4 seconds already passed that the slug could recover.

So even if you are right there and the killer doesn't pay any attention at all it saves you 6 seconds. That's best case scenario.

If the slug has been on the ground for longer then 15 seconds then it saves you like half a second. If they happen to have unbreakabill it's even less valueable

It's decently effect and can come in clutch but it's nowhere near powerfull.

Unbreakabill will always be the better anti slug cause it stops what slugs are suppose to do. Getting survivors of gens to come pick their teammate up.

You still need to abandon your gen to use wglf. Having the time they have to spend reduced by 0.5-6 seconds while noticable is nowhere near most powerfull survivor perk.

I've played against it and see others use it against slugging killers, the difference it makes is immediately noticeable. There's no real pressure gained from slugging if you have a few of these running around, better hope there's only one and they get slugged.

It renders slugging redundant which is one of the only things killers can do to win. I guess that just leaves tactical camping so gg.

And the nerve of people that still want BBQ nerfed. If anything it should be buffed to be on par with WGLF.

I used to think coldwind maps were the worst maps, recently though I think I'd take a coldwind over a Badham. Either way both are trash and the sad part is they've touched Badham twice yet addressed none of the complaints and the maps are still atrocious.

Last Chapter, Twins got the ability to for Victory to check lockers and trap survivors in for a few seconds. And people were complaining about how lockers hard countered victor during the ptb.

Devs do listen to feedback at times and it's unfair to say they never listen to any.

The scary part is how they didn't even realize the locker problem themselves. It's like the designers never play the game

Oh absolutely. I played a match on PTB and didn't throw a single blade, I literally just made a silly m1 build and walked around as a 110% killer and M1'd people and got a 3k- to which post game someone complained about how broken and unfair the killer was and how overpowered he was.

The cosmetic the survivors will wear costs more than the dlc/killer does to buy. With that in mind it's easy to see which player gets priority.

  • You call the map reworks decent? The Game is currently the worst map they've ever put out, Campbell's chapel has some of the worst window spawns I've ever seen, groaning storehouse now has stronger windows again which is almost an infinite especially against slow killers, and in general a lot of the maps received stronger tiles that cucks the killers that can't counter loops.

But hey we got more breakable walls, those are always fun.

  • You're assuming the point of a killer is to be strong, it's not. The point of a killer is to be fun - for survivors.

Truth be told I think they're afraid to buff this guy because of all the "legion 2.0" talk. Survivors are still going to complain when he hits live.
