They have to guess for what, 10 seconds? Basically the same time Freddy fake teleport makes them guess
Except unlike Freddy, there's no drawback to using this addon. You're not forced to teleport to a certain generator, you can cancel anytime you wish.
-
Nah, I'm keeping them because they're now a more effective Iridescent Button addon.
I think keeping survivors guessing on whether or not to stay on a gen is a good change for this addon ^^
-
"Your blood belongs to the Yamaoka Family."
-
Much MUCH better than what I was expecting from BHVR. Glad it's not too much.
-
I personally won't be using the Yakuyoke Amulet much personally, I value speed over haunting duration as a Spirit main.
The faster I can go, the faster I can block down survivors in a chase ^^
-
I feel like the problem with Dead by Daylight is that the devs would rather bandaid a problem rather than actually fix them.
It's why perks like Decisive Strike and Ruin exists. They don't fix the problems with the game, but they do bandaid them. Making it seem like the problem is fixed when it really hasn't.
I just wish BHVR would be more proactive with fixing the issues with the game rather than give us temporary solutions that inevitably end up nowhere.

I thought my screen was broken for a second, but I do like the cool new aesthetic ^.^

I swear, I have NEVER seen a gaming community that whiny like the DBD Community. Maybe the Devs should remove the Rift and Archives alltogether, because apparently DBD players just want to have their standard games all the time without any variation what you can do or achieve.
First of all, you dont need to do ANY of the Archive Challenges. If you think they are unfun - ignore them. Then you also dont need to cry about them.
Second, they are not meant to be done in one game (or in the first game you play with this challenges active). I mean, what do you expect how many games you will need to get 20 Gold Emblems? With 4 Emblems per game? 20:4=5. This is the minimum, you got the MInimum. Cool.
15 Unhooks will come eventually. You can ######### over games to get those done, but you have time. If they would be done so fast, it would be like the Level 1-Challenges: You finish them in a few hours and then you are left with 12 days of waiting. The Level 2-Challenges are all reasonable and not really difficult.
So, just play, ffs. Dont care that much about the challenges, two weeks until the next Level opens, around 50 days until the Rift closes. More than enough time to make it enjoyable instead of sweating and thinking this has to be done ASAP.
It wouldn't be much of a problem if it didn't affect normal gameplay if you're not doing the challenges.

The screen is turning bloody. The new Oni-chan killer is coming! ?
Please both stop and continue doing this.

Hate to say it but you just have to get better.
Don‘t really see how these kind of teams are an issue when you play a killer thats very hard to counter but easy to play as.
And there is nothing wrong with Object. I ran it myself quite a few games yesterday and it‘s a very risky perk to run especially if you get a stealth killer since they can see you when they enter stealth but you can‘t because of undetectable. And you have to be somewhat good in a chase if you want to use it.
Like I said previously, I'm not a very good killer ^^;
I'm good with Spirit but that is because she's the only killer I've ever learnt to play. I still miss a lot of my swings coming out of phase and I sometimes get easily fooled by some of the most common jukes. But regardless, if it's not up against a team that seems to know what I am about to do 100% of the time, I can get a 2k to a 4k most of my games.
I will try to get better but sometimes I just can't help but feel taunted and mocked by people who use Object of Obsession in this game.
-
Object of Obsession.

Git gud
Is not a particularly helpful comment or advice.
Then again, what do I expect from this community?
-
Saw an Object of Obsession team that I versed before.
I put on Prayer Beads.
Instantly 4 DCs. Nothing would be more satisfying honestly.
-
I've watched a lot of movies based on Spirit's initial inspiration. I wouldn't mind watching one with her ^^
-
no.

I always love it when I see a Spirit as a Survivor, it means I have to be more careful and more thoughtful of my movements.
Being a Spirit main myself, I've learned stuff from the other side that helps me as a survivor that makes chases with Spirit both thrilling and satisfying.

It's weird but all Legions I've met are really nice too. Usually I'm the final survivor left and they always give me the hatch, or just open the gate for me. BHVR: #MakeLegionGreatAgain!

#MakeLegionGreatAgain

I think what they mean is matchmaking for solo players. It's pretty bad ^^;
-
I don't usually play altruistically, plus I usually bad timing for when to go for saves so I just stick to generators ^^;

Awww. Well, I'm sure that.s not rue :) anyone can be a great killer (or survivor). I can't give you killer tips because I'm very bad with killer, but I personally got better at survivor by watching YouTubers play and learned their jukes and strategies.
I CAN recommend 1 YouTuber/ Streamer named not Otzdarva. He's very good at killer and gives superb tips.
Good luck in the fog c:
I do watch him and he has been really helpful in helping me win more games ^^ Thank you for the recommendation regardless, I'll see if I can improve next rank reset.
-
Reducing her phase walk movement speed and cool down might make sense, but I'm still holding out hope that it's just Prayer Beads that gets removed ^^;
I'm already a pretty bad killer, I can't play anyone other than Spirit. So if they nerf her basekit even more I will struggle more.
-
I really really love this thread!
It's so interesting reading about your ideas and what you think should be changed in this game. I honestly wish some of these suggestions are ported over into the actual game because yeah, reading all of this makes me feel excited to play Dead by Daylight again (as I am currently burned out from all the Rift grinding ^^;)
I hope BHVR takes into consideration some of your ideas because I do think some of them are quite nice. Especially the ending cutscene for killer and survivor victories. That sounds like a great idea. Wish it's a thing in DBD.
-
Hire Mr Envy and give the killers unique chase music.
-
I honestly think The Entity by itself can be terrifying if they kept her as an Unknown Entity.
I've always adored lovecraftian horror and how it creates this fear of the unknown. Which is why I adored the Payday 2 Secret ARG for bringing in things like Nephilims and Ancient Relics of unknown origin. (No seriously, they actually did that.)
But the problem with Dead by Daylight's lore and The Entity is that BHVR has given us a little bit too much detail on her.
For one, we know her gender. That's one mystery that stops being questioned immediately. She's a femalle.
Secondly, because we know she goes through a yearly blight, we can speculate that she is most likely a plant rather than some eldritch monster like Chthulu.
Third, we know she can only come to our world through acts of mass death and violence or by stepping into her forest.
Fourth, we know she doesn't have a complete grip on her realms. The Hatch, the Golden Toolboxes, even Auric Cells which are the building blocks of her realms can be used to manipulate objects inside the realms or the realms itself. So that makes her less of a fearful deity.
I think the Entity is an interesting concept for a character, a multidimensional being (or plant as speculated) that can transport survivors and killers into a neverending game of life and death. She doesn't do this for her sadistic desires, but to survive as she feeds off of the Survivor's hope.
She sends killers to put the survivors under immense stress and pressure as well as give them a fighting chance to escape and survive. Continually feeding off of their hope for escape, their hope to escape her realm and this nightmare.
She could've been scary. But the fact that we know even bits about her shows that she isn't an Unknown, she doesn't make us fear her for not knowing what she is.
I feel like half of this post was just me rambling about stuff so excuse me if it doesn't make sense ^^;
-
I wouldn't mind having Rin's dad.
Mainly because I want to see the cute fan art from it, even though I know how screwed up that sounds considering he kinda killed her ^^;;;
-
Otzdarva. He is probably the only DBD Content Creator I watch ^^
His videos are informative and entertaining.
-
I do have fun playing this game, although I think that may be addiction ^^;
-
Had that happen to me too, lol.
-
Is there any popcorn lying around? 🥗
-
Those satisfying generator grabs as killers like Spirit and Ghostface.
-
Though since I mentioned Legion.
@UlvenDagoth #NeverForget
-
Killers, I think Spirit, Legion, Ghostface.
But Survivors, probably Laurie and Feng.

Maybe there were not enough people around your rank online, so the game allowed for this lobby to be created instead making you wait forever?
I would rather this instead of waiting a long time for a "perfect" lobby to come about
I don't know about you, but if I was a killer/survivor I wouldn't want to be matched with someone who would decimate me in game.
-
That looks even more atrocious.
-
It becomes white noise after like... 10 seconds.
-
I wonder if they can make a system that catches that.
Like for example, if they don't struggle at all. It's counted as a DC.
-
The most annoying killer for me to face personally is probably Leatherface. Mainly because there is a chance that if I get Leatherface, I also get potato survivors. So maybe I'm just attributing getting bad survivors with getting a bad killer. But I still think he is pretty annoying.
As for most annoying survivor, Nea. For whatever reason, Neas tend to be the most toxic survivors I meet in game. Like they just would BM for no reason.

BBQ is annoying. I originally bought this game before that annoying perk came out. I enjoyed HIDING and when the killer came looking. I would stay hidden. But then BBQ came in and ruined it for me. I now regret buying the game. I am not good at pallet looping and especially having to hide in the locker is really lame.
TBH if they run BBQ + Iron Maiden. Welp. HEH... gg me.
Which comes down to the big strat of running BBQ. Most of these good survivors I play against, as The Killer. If there are 2 survivors left. The other survivor DC's so the perk doesn't activate. Very smart on their part. Simply put. I don't run BBQ and learned to play WITHOUT it from the start of the game AND then I learned not to use it. Because SWF easily outplays it.
Bottom line is. The perk is OP as heck in the lower ranks and pointless in the high ranks. If it was a HEX. It would have been perfect.
If it was a Hex no one would run it, no one wants their potential BBQ stacks to be squandered at the start of the game.
-
Snakes.
I don't even like cartoon snakes, they still scare me.
-
I'm also a Spirit main and I agree with the proposed fix. Giving Survivors an indication to where the Spirit is would make it easier for Survivors to track her.
I've always said myself that you can counter her by tricking her where to go, doubling back on your scratch marks, make fake scratch marks, use noise to misdirect her, etc etc. But without knowing exactly where she is might make these counters difficult.
Just hearing her footsteps or grass shuffling should give survivors enough indication where she is and how close she is towards you, and how risky or safe it is to do an action where you might end up getting grabbed.
Overall, I want the survivors to also have fun, but I also want to have fun. Which is why I've been fighting against Spirit being nerfed. But this seems to be the solution that would satisfy both sides of the aisle. Hopefully.
-
Taunting/BMing the entire game.
No one likes to play a game where you are always taunted and mocked the whole game, but you can't do anything about it.
-
Ruin (Because even on killers like Spirit I still feel it's necessary to use, and I hate it), BBQ and Chili (Because who doesn't love extra BP and Survivor location info?), Predator/Whispers, and Sloppy Butcher.
Addons are a mixture of speed and recovery addons or just full on speed addons. And if I can afford it, both Ultra Rare Addons on her if I am feeling rather devilish. 😈
-
That's not BHVR's fault, that's the playerbase's fault. They won't shut down the Switch version because of a few new survivors and killers.
-
Oh God no. Just no.
-
I mean, why not?
Since BNPs aren't instant pops, Odd Bulb is arguably more useless than helpful, and Syringes are about to be nerfed. Having Ace in the Hole give Survivors red items from time to time would be a nice buff.

You are a purple rank killer.
You are not some newb who does not understand the game.
If you are going to rank up you will have to learn how to deal with these types of survivors or at the very least earn a ton of points when you encounter them.
I respect survivors who are actually ranking up this season rather than deranking and keeping themselves in the brown and yellow ranks.
I don't think being decimated in a game where you're expecting to be matched with someone that is of similar skill to yours will give anyone a lesson on how to deal with Red Rank Survivors.
-
Ghostface and "Open Exit Door with X". It would be fine if it's just "Stalk and down survivors" and "Escape with X". But doing the two prerequisites requiring you to lean and be the one to open the Exit Door is based on map positioning (which Ghostface tends to suffer from in my experience) and luck.
-
If BHVR sells figurines of Rin Yamaoka, I will buy all of it.
(Okay maybe not, maybe like 10)
-
School girl Spirit.
Because that's the only skin I'm willing to buy *shrug*
