Current Monstrous Shrine
The Basement Hooks are granted the following bonuses:
- 3/6/9% faster Entity progression.
- 5/10/15% increased difficulty on escape attempts.
- 3/6/9% increased penalty to escape fails.
My Monstrous Shrine
The Basement inflicts the Blindness & Oblivious Status Effects on Survivors who enter it, and they lose those Status Effects 6/8/10 seconds after exiting the Basement.
Reasoning: I thought of the idea of the Basement being its own sort-of dimension, cut off from the Realm you're playing in, so supernatural abilities like Auras & the Terror Radius are not present there.
Current Knock Out
Dying Survivors' Auras are not revealed to other Survivors when they are standing outside of a range of 32/24/16 metres.
My KNOCK OUT
Dying Survivors are afflicted with the Blindness Status Effect & Dying Survivors' Auras are not revealed to other Survivors when they are standing outside of a range of 32/24/16 metres.
Reasoning: To making being hit hard more impactful.
Current Overwhelming Presence
Survivors within your Terror Radius suffer from inefficiency.
Affected Survivors' Item Consumption rates are increased by 80/90/100%.
My Overwhelming Presence
Kicking a Generator causes it to emit a Terror Radius of 32 metres for 20/25/30 seconds.
During that time, you are granted the Undetectable Status Effect.
Reasoning: Dark Devotion's kinda neato, so i thought i'd make a similar one.
I wasn't satisfied with just 1.
That sounds like something that makes a Basement Camping Bubba to no longer need Insidious or worry about BT.

You're not the only one who gets tired of seeing Meta Perks every game.

My plan is Iron Will, Urban Evasion, and just tail the killer as much as possible. Burning a Yamaoka Estate offering and wearing clothing that will blend in would probably also be very helpful, since it allows you to hide in bushes right next to the killer and remain unseen.
What if Dwight doesn't have Iron Will or Urban Immersion? Which most people probably won't have because he is most likely the first character people will level up.

If you are stressed the first you wanna do is to relax your shoulders, check if your muscles are tensioned and if they are try to let go, it's hard to explain what I mean, but hopefully you get the idea. Then check your breathing, try to breath normally in case you are breathing faster than usual.
Besides that; I like to listen to relaxing music, lay on my bed and not really think about anything, just listen, enjoy and feel the music. Playing the guitar also helps, so you might wanna play an instrument in case you know how to play one.
I know how to make music digitally, though I don't own any instruments myself, sadly ^^;
Relaxing my shoulders and checking my breathing sounds like a good idea though, I'll keep that in mind next time I get this stressed ^^ Thank you.

You should be able to get it within the next Rank Reset assuming you rank up once every day you play.

What rank are you at right now?

I was just saying, with how bonkers Dr. Loomis can get I won't be surprised if he would be Michael's skin

As Laurie or as Michael?

I don't think either of the two should work on Spirit. The Legion can't use them and is 3 letter tiers lower than Spirit
Well you can't exactly stop Spirit from seeing Scratchmarks unless she is using Mother-Daughter Ring
-
@DetailedDetriment said:
Kibara listed most of them. However, perks like Bloodhound will not work unless you have the Father's Glasses add-on. I don't think Predator work either, but I could be wrong.
Predator works, they make the scratch marks tighter but honestly I recommend against using it on Spirit
-
I'm still trying to think up of one for Spirit right now with the new Killer perks.
I guess Deathbound + Sloppy would be a good combo? Forcing Survivors to stay injured for longer as well as punishing them for healing up.
-
Basically any Aura Reading perk won't show Survivors if you are phasing. (BBQ, Nurses, I'm All Ears)
Perks that gives you a Notification Bubble (Discordance, Spies from the Shadows, etc) does show you where Survivors are however.
-
@FichteHiro said:
Hiding is the same as not being in a chase. A chase is started when a Survivor starts sprinting within 12 meters of the Killer's location.
Thanks for that, I wasnt unsure myself and was about to ask the same question.

The killer challenges seem brutal. Good thing I don't need to rush the challenges for the new killer. I've got 2 weeks to do it which I'm happy with.
Yeah that is true, 2 weeks is a long time. I think I have time to both prestige 3-50 my Piggu and get enough BP for PH when he gets here :D

Thanks for this.
This is going to be a rough one...

Nemesis is a staple for some killers isn't it?
tbh I know someone who has been getting a ton of value from Dead Man's Switch (Though he is a Freddy main so activating Dead Man's Switch isn't exactly hard)

Why would that excite you? You get a kick out of the disappointment of others?
No, maybe they just don't want Pennywise, Xenomorph, Candyman or Jason in the game.
-
He won't have the numbers anymore
-
They already made it harder on us with a TON of Red Herrings.
But if they do keep it up, the speculation around the number '5' would definitely hold more weight.

A bit disappointing. Would loved it if it was Resident Evil instead.
But hey , at least it's not one of those stupid things that so many people were saying it's gonna be. Thank ######### god.
Might have a harder time getting a license from RE considering they have a game that is a direct competitor to DBD.
Resistance.

This is correct, they are too fat to be models.
@Topic:
Yeah, some improvements to Survivor Models would be nice. There is a reason the most popular Meg Cosmetic is the Deathgarden Mask.
Ooooh, so that's why Nea with a mask is the most popular Nea outfit.

You will never find a game character in a Iconic Horror character list. Never. And I dont care what gamers think, cause its not the same context.
I'm sorry a VIDEO GAME gets another iconic VIDEO GAME horror character.

I literally just got done talking about how the number 53 haunts my life on Discord, and here it is again with you mentioning I got 53 likes. Oh my god.

Quentin to be replaced with Nancy.
Bill with any of the other 3 Survivors from Left 4 Dead.
Amanda Young with The Hoffmanator.
Detective Tapp with his son.
-
I think the perks that are noteworthy are Soul Guard & Trail of Torment.
Having Endurance after recovering from a Dying State as well as picking yourself up if there is a Hex totem in play is amazing.
The Undetectable status Trail of Torment brings is HUGE for certain Killers, especially Killers who has an Instadown.
I honestly think these two perks are going to be really really good to shake up the game's meta.
-
You had me at the title there.

If you honestly don't think DbD is a competitve game, you need to wake up and smell the roses. I have NEVER seen any "non-competitive" game with as much divisiveness and toxic rancor between the two sides.
The game itself is not competitive.
The Community, is. There's a difference.
I'm also a competitive player when it comes to this game, I will hold no punches whether I am playing as Survivor or Killer. But the game itself is as casual as it gets.
-
@ArthurFiNCHr said:
Well... surely? I mean, for some players yeah, especially for the people who had played the original game but not for me - and not for about half of community as you can see by the discussions. I haven't played that game, I did heard about it but never had really play this game.
For me it really is a huge disappointment, I mean it's 4th anniversaire and for me it feels like just another DLC, nothing more. Nothing to be really hyped about. Also I'm sorry because at some point hearing about it needs to be a little painful for the devs, but when I heard that it's gonna be an iconic killer I was sure that it will be a well known killer for a majority of people. As you can see pretty big amount of people hear about him for the first time, so as I said. For some peoples " Hype time " for others just a normal DLC.
Sorry it's a disappointment for you.
But It sure definitely isn't one for me! :D
-
I'm so so SOOOOOOO happy with both. Couldn't ahve been a better Killer imo
-
To be fair, it's a lot easier to apply them with Torment.

Can you explain me how his power and abilitys work? Didnt find anything usefull so far.
Also what is this weird rotating symbol sometimes on the Health state Icon?
Sadly i am on PS4 so i cant test it out. :p
With Rites of Judgement, Pyramid Head can create trails which cause Survivors to suffer from Torment.
Torment lets you know where they are if they step on it, making him have amazing Map Pressure potential.
He also can send Survivors to Cages, which are not like hooks, so uncaging them won't trigger DS or BT.
He also has a ranged attack which can be activated while Rites of Judgement of active, it's small but it's enough to make him very dangerous around loops.
He also can instantly Mori anyone who is tormented and is on Death hook.
-
Yes you do.
But they are always sent the farthest point away from you.

I got a refund after 5 days for the game.
5 days isn't really much.
Steam has a max limit of 2 weeks for you to refund your game, it's basically common courtesy
-
-
I feel like he will sadly be nerfed.
I honestly think he is fine as is right now, but if they do nerf him, I hope they don't make him incredibly weak or his power incredibly situational.
The ranged attack through walls is fine as is imo.

No they didn't. Bethesda tried to refuse refunds for people who hated Fallout 76 and got sued for it.
Lets not forget them trying to get out of scamming their customers of their canvas bags with 500 Atom Points. Which btw, if you accepted, you are legally binded to not sue them as that would've been "compensation"
-
I assume there will be changes when it goes live.
It does look low res for me as well.

I'm getting it just fine, I just don't agree with it. For something to be considered iconic in a genre, in this case horror, it has to be just that; iconic to the mainstream of its genre. Not just a sub section of it, in this case the horror video game world. Had they said the new chapter is iconic in the video game horror genre, that would be a different story.
That's why most people were guessing the likes of Xenomorph, Pennywise, Jason etc. They're horror icons known across the genre.
Sure, it would be nice to have Iconic Horror Killers from Mainstream media.
But DBD is a video game, so to have another crossover with another video game is something to be hyped about.
Because that opens up the possibility of things like Resident Evil with Nemesis, or The House of the Dead with The Chariot/Judgment, or even The Magician if they could make him work.
-
@Dwight_Fairfield said:

No offense but that's just empty words. You're just telling me something is a landmark and iconic without providing any proof. Can you even show me examples how Silent Hill is ingrained in Horror culture like Halloween and Friday the 13th is?
You're not getting it are you?
Pyramid Head is an Iconic VIDEO GAME HORROR Villain. He isn't as Mainstream as Jason or Myers, sure, but he is still Iconic enough to be called an Iconic killer by the devs.
-
@Dwight_Fairfield said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1304004#Comment_1304004
Because they're not. But please feel free to explain how they have been staples in the horror genre. If you can provide any proof to go with it then even better.
The creator of Silent Hill, Hideo Kojima is a coveted Game Developer, not to mention that a lot of people (including myself) grew up with the Silent Hill franchise the same way people grew up with Halloween & Friday the 13th.
It's about as iconic as those movies, except in video game form

I'm having some reality. Help yourself. Plenty to go around 😉
Being popular does not equate to being classic, iconic, or any way notable in the horror franchise. Nothing to do with what played on cable TV the most.
Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Saw, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Stranger Things......any of those could be called either classic, iconic, landmarks, or in some cases all three in the horror genre.
Silent Hill cannot. Not by any stretch of the imagination.
EXCUSE ME?
HOW CAN YOU NOT SAY SILENT HILL IS NOT CLASSIC OR ICONIC WHEN THEY'VE BEEN STAPLES OF THE HORROR GENRE FOR AGES?

THIS WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS ASKING FOR HIM! THANK YOU BHVR!

Not you, but I have seen people purposefully going around threads of people being happy just to try and piss them off.

Of course they cant be grateful. Did you see the stream chat? Lots of "just shut the ######### up and tell us about killer."

Already seeing that toxicity here in the forums with some people

There will always be "New Killer OP" posts everytime a Killer is reworked or added into the game.
Remember when people called Oni OP? Or Deathslinger?
They'll do the same with Pyramid Head.
