Well I had better ping and they arent even close to 50%of the pallet drop to stun me so even if there screen is different to mine I had the better ping
And you cant upload videos on forums and I assume most cba to upload to YouTube etc
Well I hope they take the advice and fix it. Maybe it's worse in EU? honestly not sure how we share the same server as so many others, its obviously gonna be different from uk, russia etc.
Nah, experiencing these false hits in SEA too. It's bad everywhere.

I respect Almo's opinions on Pig but I simply don't agree. Some or all of the following changes need to be made:
Survivors' ability to see Jigsaw Boxes should be stunted until trap activation as BASE KIT, not as iri addon.
Survivors should NOT be able to remove the trap until the timer starts. How can one play the Game when it hasn't even begun?
Remove survivors ability to see how much time they have left. This could be base kit or a rare or iri addon. Either way is fine. Slowdown the timer to balance, but speedup the beeping just to make them panic, therefore capturing the intensity of a Saw trap.
Broaden RNG. Trap should almost NEVER come off first try.
Buff Amanda's letter. Extend the range of the aura reading ability. Balance by shortening ambush distance and removing all RBTs, remove jigsaw boxes as well.
Decrease the amount of addons that effect RBTs, add more that change stealth and ambush.
Boop physics. Squash that snoot.
RBTs should have more than one timer trigger. Being healed and unhooking other survivors come to mind. Killer stuns as well.
Remove survivors ability to leave the match by gate or by hatch with RBT on their head, active or not. Add Jigsaw box just outside gate thats only useable during EGC that guarantees removal, to balance.
Make Piggy, nay, make SAW great again!
I used to main her, but with all of these changes, I'd love to main her again.
Pig never really felt like I'm making the survivors play the Game. This would change that.

Nah keys are fine, it's the Hatch that needs to be nerfed. Have it only spawn:
- When there is one remaining survivor.
- When all gens are repaired.
Simply put, this eliminates the chances of the hatch spawning (and thus a key escape) when there are still objectives left to complete. Just as the killer has to complete all of their objective before they can mori. (2 hook stages before the final death hook)
This way, a key is just turning 2 possible exits into 3, which can be useful with a fast killer or when the exits spawn right next to each other, and it allows the last survivor to reopen the hatch if the killer closes it, allowing them the chance to escape, because the chances of the last remaining survivor actually managing to open the gate when the killer is just bouncing between the two is very low unless it's something like The Game or RPD with a slow killer.
With this change, I'd say Keys should actually get a buff. Maybe something like, opening a chest with a key has a significantly greater chance of a rarer item, but consumes some charges.
Actually, this might be way more reasonable than a key nerf.
The problem with the hatch is that it spawns before there is only one last survivor remaining. I'm sure even as a Survivor, you wouldn't want the Killer to find where the hatch is before you could even get a chance to go looking for it.
Making it so it only works if there is only one survivor remaining or all generators are repaired would make it IMMENSELY more fair for both sides.
-
I have rarely seen Trickster in my matches.
-
I don't know how to really explain this to you.
I live right next to the server and I'm getting screwed over by it. It's actually messing up my Huntress and Deathslinger shots severely. But what's worse with Deathslinger is that you don't get feedback if you hit or not, you just miss. So it makes me feel like I'm getting shittier as Deathslinger.
-
I don't understand why people don't like facing him.
The tension of not knowing when he'll get close, and suddenly being reeled in by a silhouette in the distance with an "Oh #########!" moment. As well as not knowing you'll be safe in the majority of loops in the game whenever he is around makes him one of my favourite killers to face again.
As a Survivor, I love the actual tension he brings to this game. Because it makes me feel like I'm not playing against another player, but a monster that I can't fight directly. A monster I have to tip the favours to balance my situation by using second story buildings and long walls and windows.
He is one of the best killers to go against in a horror game like this.
-
Yes.
Spine Chill trumps any stealth killers.

People are trying to justify this by saying they dealt with it for years... that's great but the problem is it was favoring the 1 person who's vsing 4.... see the problem now? No wonder why killer queue times are instant....
I literally had to wait 30 minutes to get in a Survivor lobby today.
And well.. The matchmaking matched me with Yellow ranks. I waited so long the system decided that no one in my rank wanted to play.

I’m a solo queue player who uses deception and performs well so I don’t know what else to tell you
- I'm mainly talking about the Killer side of things. I can play meme perks as Survivor because I am not under constant pressure to do something in the game. I can go AFK for a while and let my teammates do the gens and still escape from the hatch if I found it.
- Even then, a lot of meme perks are A LOT MORE versatile when playing Survivor than when playing Killer. The outright bad perks are just not "fun" enough to actually be worth running. But just think for a second the amount of perks you would realistically use in a match of DBD if you want to have fun, without actively shooting yourself in the foot by bringing things like Furtive Chase.
- Reminder that this is a 1v4 game, so you're pitting your four perks as killer against 16 perks as survivor. You can bring meme builds as a Survivor and still contribute to the game. A Killer bringing BK Myers into Red Ranks is going to be basically playing on Hard Mode because it's a meme build.

Well that’s how most, if not all online games work. If you don’t like it then tough.
Actually no, most online video games don't give you instant feedback that you hit something, and then said "Actually nah, you didn't."
-
Keep an eye out for his glimmer? Pay attention to your surroundings. Use strong tiles and pallets? Lightburn his since he is very susceptible to that? Also what games have you been playing? Because I have never seen a Wraith use that combo before. It's usually just speed add-ons.
-
I've been using up my own cakes and I have been getting in games with just 1 (mine) or 2.
I'm going to actually stop if this keeps going.

If you don’t learn to play without them then yeah
Are we even playing the same game?
I'm playing in the SEA Region, and I get a lot of sweatlords. The kinds that will absolutely steamroll you if you do not bring the absolute best in return. You think I haven't tried meme builds? You think I haven't tried to play with other perks?
No one likes to play and feel like they're given no chance whatsoever. Just face it, no one wants to face against people who has an unfair advantage over them. This applies to both Killer and Survivor.
So if you want to get a chance, and because you won't know what your opponents will bring into the match. You're more likely to bring the perks that are proven to be good and have seen consistent value.
But please, please tell me how I could use a meme build that can be used without not having any chance to use it whatsoever?

You likely had a lag spike when it occurred, when this happens the server agrees with whoever can send info to the server the fastest, which happened to be the survivor.
So you're saying that because of something COMPLETELY OUT OF THE PLAYER'S CONTROL, they should be punished for just playing the game normally?

Look up hit registration on other online games buddy, this is what it is and it’s fair. Laggy killers shouldn’t be getting hits.
Yeah no. This is what's known as "Rollback".
And it's only known for use in fighting games.
For good reason.
A person shouldn't be denied immediate feedback to what they see on their screen. They shouldn't be a ######### clairvoyant to what happens on the other person's screen.

If you are in Red Ranks and want to be in purple or green Ranks, you just want easy games.
I prefer Red Ranks, the most boring games I had was when Rank Reset happened twice (which happened quite recently), so I was Rank 9 on both sides and playing Killer was so boring. At least I got some Adepts done.
I cannot really understand why people want to go against opponents which are not close to their own Skill Level.
Because people don't want to sweat and just the fact you are winning forces you to go into Red Ranks? Even if you're playing with the most chill builds imaginable?
-
It's solo queue. To me anything goes.
But more importantly, if you have no hooks and I am at death hook, I'd rather he chase you than me.
-
@WexlerWendigo said:

I don't know man. Some of us would like to use the other perks in our builds and not be forced to run the same generic perks to stand a chance at having any decent fun.

@Bwsted said:
The problem is not shifted to either side. Previously, latency on killer's side was an advantage at pallets. Now it isn't anymore.
You're not being punished for playing killer. You simply stopped being rewarded for lagging.
I still cannot believe anyone thinks this is in ANYWAY a good system or that the devs should be excused for it.
That includes you. No one should be punished for what felt like a clean shot. Like this one from @Ruma
https://youtu.be/7Hl-gSiy7PQThis is just absolutely ridiculous. Are you seriously expecting the Killer to time travel into the future to know when to actually use their power or attacks so it looks "right" on the Survivor screen?
-
That actually hurt to watch.
I don't know if I wanna play Huntress rn.
I noticed I have been missing point blank Deathslinger shots lately, but I've been blaming my aim for that #########. But with the new hit validation, and seeing THAT, I think it might be something else.

I wish there was a way to depip without actively throwing matches or leaving the game for an entire year.
There is.
It's called farming.
You're technically not throwing matches, but as long as you don't get hooks, you'll get points and a depip.
But to me that is so boring to do everyday that I'd rather just play normally and risk the sweaty crowd.

You are entiteled to have an opinion, but you are on a very lonely field on that matter. Deathslinger Spirt and Twins are the most hated killers in the game and thats why they are also the most complained.
That you have fun against those killers is good and i am happy for you, but it does not really matter, since most dont enjoy going against them. The majority speaking has more weight then your opinion.
Oh buddy.
Lemme let you in on a little secret:
Your opinion doesn't matter.
As long as your measure is based on fun rather than actual balance, nothing will change about those killers. So you can either suck it up, or you know, disconnect and get a penalty.
-

Yep. Being in red ranks sucks when I want to play killers like Pig. I used to main her but getting ######### on far too often in high ranks made me learn Nurse and Blight. I would love to be able to have fun and actually not get stomped on with killers like her, Clown, Legion, etc. but unfortunately gen speeds in high ranks do not allow that.
There's a reason the Killers I play on rotation are: Wraith, Huntress, Deathslinger, Trickster, Blight, Demogorgon, Oni, Bubba.
Wraith & Bubba if I want to do more chill games.
Trickster & Demo if I want to meme a bit.
Huntress & Blight if I want to win.
And Deathslinger and Oni if I want to just be a nuisance to the Survivors for my own satisfaction.

This is nonsense, no offense. Most survivors have great games even tho they die / loose the game. I for example have more fun loosing against a fun killer then winning against party poopers like Deathslinger or Twins.
Shoots you from across the map before you can even hear me
You know how satisfying that is as a Deathslinger? How much of an "Oh #########!" jumpscare moment it is for Survivor? Because that's part of why I love playing against Deathslinger.
No, @Power_Guy is right. Most people who complain that someone is unfun usually ends up losing to that specific Killer. Either that or they don't like a mechanic they introduce into the game, or a playstyle they force on you to counter them. None of that is still any good reasons to nerf or buff a killer purely based on what is or isn't fun.
If they're not fun to you, tough #########. Suck it up and play the game and wait for the next match. Or at least try to change your playstyle.
-
I'm not going to lie, I wish I could stay in Green or Purple ranks.
At least there I can chill and meme around as Killer, since the Survivors are good but not obsessively good.
But just by the virtue of winning, you will be pushed into the abyss that is Red Ranks.

I just came back for a months long break from this game and I'm TRYING so hard to have the slightest bit of fun here. I play as a solo survivor and it's just awful. But hey, at least they took the time to change character appearances that no one was asking for.
Genuine inquiry:
Why do you keep playing the game? No seriously. If you're not having any fun, why bother? The best thing you can do to show your disapproval is to just stop and play something more fun.
-
"the problem has literally shifted from affecting survivors big time to affecting killers big time."
This.
I've never been a fan of Survivors getting hit that feels unfair either, but throwing it to the other side to deal with it is not a good design fix. And anyone who thinks that "Killers deserve this, because Survivors has been experiencing this for years."
Go outside and touch the grass.
-
I genuinely think the devs should make it so there is no feedback that you hit them or not.
That is the literal reason why people keep feeling "robbed".
They're getting instant feedback that they nailed a hit, only to be denied it a second later purely because they were a milisecond late.
I've experienced the rollback myself as Killer and it just isn't a nice feeling, it feels demoralizing. What could've been a 5 second chase extended by another 30. I know that doesn't seem like much but it's the equivalent of a strong early start being turned into a very mediocre or bad one.
Either fix the netcode, or change how the game gives you feedback. Because if you just get stunned and nothing else, no one would be complaining about this. But if they get a hit, and then a stun, and that hit is ignored. That is why people will complain about it.

...and if someone says "Keys are fun, you are just salty because we escaped"?
Or "[insert survivor sided map here] is super fun i just like this map for its looks and i will bring an offering whenever i have one" ? You will say the same?
Sure, you can have fun in a map that is sided to one side.
However, Keys are objectively broken. Unlike killers like Nemesis or Deathslinger that are often ranked below optimal.
There is such a thing as calling something unfun, and calling something as unbalanced and broken. What OP is trying to call out here are people who thinks it's okay to perceive balance as what you personally think is fun rather than what balance actually is.
-
I take it as "COME ######### RESCUE ME YOU ######### #########!"
Or some variation of that.
I'm definitely not projecting my solo queue experience.

I don't mind that map in general, but I just wish I could get a clean shot. There's so many obstacles and LOS blockers that makes it hard playing him in there.
And knowing this forum. Yeah probably.
-
Running the Killer without making a massive mistake.
It's the kind of boneheaded mistakes I would always punish Survivors in my Killer games for, but I keep falling for it because I sometimes panic and get easily mindgamed.
So I guess you can say I'm very mindgameable.
As Killer... I'm ashamed to say but it's tracking scratch marks.
I can track them through sight, through walls, through sounds. But if I have to track them with just scratch marks I will ######### lose them EVERY SINGLE TIME.

I play pretty nearby to the server where I live and I still feel like this isn't a great implementation of the idea.
I know certain people will complain that "Survivors has been experiencing this for years!", but making it so the other side suffers from unfair connections doesn't make things fair or better.
Do I like the fact that pallets feels safer? Yes. If I play Survivor, yeah. But I don't like the feeling of hitting someone, getting confirmation of that hit connecting, and then getting cucked by the server saying "Nope, you were a milisecond too late."
There has to be a buffer zone for both sides. So it looks fair. Or at least tweak it so the Killer doesn't feel like they got robbed of a hit that felt like it connected.
Overall, it is a multiplayer game so it is never going to be perfect. But at least make it so that both sides don't feel like they've been robbed of a hit or an escape at least. It's that immediate instant feedback that makes people dislike this kind of system. That feedback that you did get it, but got hit anyways. Or didn't get a hit.
-
Personally as someone who plays on PC, the recoil is never really an issue for me.
But I can see why console players get ######### over it.
-
No. ######### that. Even as someone who is a major advocate for reducing the grind, I don't want more exclusive cosmetics because it forces people to grind for them. Making the reduction of the grind ######### USELESS.
-
Are you talking about keys or the hatch in general?
Because if it's keys, I agree. You shouldn't be able to just escape the Killer for free if you bring a key, even if they are nerfed right now, realistically you're not going to be running Franklin's every game on every killer.
If it's the hatch in general... Yeah no, bud.
-
About goddamn time.
Getting tired of the DC for Hatch in the Killer games I've been playing.

I want 1 perk for both sides with reasons given. Mine would be...
Kindred - Just a quality of life perk that would make soloq a little more balanced.
Remember Me - Because No Way Out exists, this perk is useless and should never be brought.
Actually, because No Way Out exists. Bringing Remember Me can also make the endgame pretty much impossible for the remaining Survivor if Hatch is found.
Remember. It's 60 seconds for No Way Out. And it notifies the Killer that the Survivor is there.
If the Survivor is not the obsession, it's another 16 seconds on top of the 20 seconds it takes to open. That's already 36 seconds. With 24 seconds remaining that the Survivor has to exit out of the exit gates.
And remember. No Way Out NOTIFIES you if the Survivor is near an Exit Gate. Meaning you can chase them around for the remainder of No Way Out's timer as well as the EGC timer, and with Remember Me, I doubt they'd be able to get the gate open and get out at the same time if you spent time chasing them around.
Assuming of course, you don't catch them.
It shouldn't be basekit.
-
The one Killer I never play against is Demogorgon.
If I do play against him, I usually rave about it in a Discord server I'm in because everyone else there also never ######### seese Demo.
-
Considering buying that Blight cosmetic.
Seriously, it looks ######### rad.
-
I mean, there has to be a reason they keep making them. People ARE buying them.
I personally don't buy cosmetics, so I don't really care.
-
I know this is just putting a bandaid on a problem.
But run Open Handed + Kindred. On smaller maps it feels especially broken against the Killer and it helps make Solo Queue much MUCH more bareable.
That way you'll know what to prioritize and who to focus on helping. Open-Handed is purely for the Killer aura reading which can be really far away from the Killer from the hook.
(Seriously, I've been staring at her as she chased around the Meg and she never went outside the aura reading range)
