Naw, he's weak

Even If Nemesis got damaged by the plague, he would just mutate... and become stronger. No contest, Nemesis easily wins.

Lets see, devs def. can see how this killer performance for mid skill level and high skill level, "he sucks" "he weak" and all the other, if they decide to buff him further... I will be happy but I do not consider he needs buffs.
Devs are the last call.
That's how it's always been. We have no power.

I love Twins because a CERTAIN lore guy got me into them...

No one's forcing you to play the killer. Why are you so hell bent on getting changes to PinHead. Learn to play Blight, he's hella fun.
Play nurse. Heard she's a lot of fun.

I'm not assuming there's some secret strat, I'm just enjoying the character. I was just sharing my initial thoughts and reactions in that video. play the way that's fun for you, that video just shows some tips for aiming the chains and some builds I find helpful. the guide is more for me than anyone else.
Am I explaining this adequately? I really don't mean to boast, brag, or put anyone down, I'm just finding the character strong, just in need of getting used to, and sharing my initial thoughts in that guide (mostly as a way to process and record that information)
You're explaining it just fine. I just don't agree with you.

Pinhead is AT LEAST at the same level as Freddy and I still don't play him very well. He has decent map pressure, slowdown, chase... He is good overall.
Worst comparison I've ever seen. He is WAY weaker than Freddy.

Yup, Pinhead is terrible and needs to be buffed.

I've been getting a ton of 4ks. I'm already up to lvl 40 with ceno. just keep practicing and you'll get it, I'm sure! :) I've got a mini-guide here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akdj0k-smeA (see comments and description)
There is no "secret strategy" to playing pinhead. Why do people have this idea that they are the best and that THEY know what's right?

I can predict what people will say:
- I want to see a video (they can't believe so, they think you were against weak survivors)
- your end game screen means nothing, everyone can 4k with any killer
I do think he was against weak survivors. It's purely a coincidence.

There are many people on the forum who would agree with you. On that note, there is also a small minority that seems convinced that he either A. needs more time or B. can only be played by people that have figured out the 'right' way to use him (whatever that means).
The "right" way to use him is way too map dependent. Yeah, on the smallest maps in the game that are open I can get the box often, but the majority of maps aren't like that.

Thank you, people keep comparing him to clown just because it is slowdown, but he does not play like clown at all. He has incredible slowdown and if you can get good at him, he is a solid high B tier, low to mid A tier.
Yet pig is like really bad...

Huh? No I was talking about blind warrior - white. It's free slowdown. Swift hunt is also a contender.

I keep seeing this combined with the silent bell.
Why is wraith allowed free Wallhacks with 0 drawback while Meyers and Amanda have similar Iri add ons that are so gimmicky you only ever see them on joke builds?
I wouldn't mind this add-on if it actually had a price for using it. Right now there's no reason not to run it. Plus, it's only a purple. Why?
Cuz it's not his best addon.

Would it block dropped pallet?
Even if only window, there is chance to create a cage, which survivor will have no way to escape from.
That cage bit is due to bad map design.

The perk could be map wide and I still wouldn't run it as I'm sure the timer would be ridiculously short.
The change I propose would make it an endgame perk, making portions of the map being COMPLETE deadzones at the end of the match even If the killer never went to that area of the map to begin with.

It's easy to reminisce, but I don't think I'd want old old Freddy back. Remember slow down freddy? Freddy with Remember Me? With max tokens of old Remember Me and whilst being in the dream world and not an obsession, it'd take 1:20 mins (or 1:15) to fully open it if you weren't the obsession. That combined with NOED, old Mori and with old Undying Light to tunnel out the obsession made for boring, stretched out, tedious games.
Now remember, there was no hiding from old Freddy. If he wanted to tunnel, he would. So if you were the obsession and he had Dying Light and a Mori you'd better be good not being found, at all.
Sure there were fun moments like this:
Or missing a skillcheck as he's about to hit you. But that doesn't negate the rest of it.
Oh god, old DS

Funny enough. No. I came after old Freddy. I just watched a LOT of old Freddy videos since the nostalgia group hyped him up so much.
I watched videos showing the reality of how god aweful old Freddy was. And not glamorized highlight clips from someone like Otz. That make you go "well he wasn't so bad"
People say he was unique. But eh...He literally used nurse hand to pull people in to dreams or whatever. Something he's never done in the movies. He really didn't look that "unique" or fun to me. Just pain
Who'd you watch exactly?

I've decided to change it up like this:
- Tier 1 is now 15 seconds frequency, 1 second to cough, 15% slowdown.
- Tier 2 is now 14 seconds frequency, 2 seconds to cough, 20% slowdown.
- Tier 3 is now 13 seconds frequency, 3 seconds to cough, 25% slowdown.
This way the frequency isn't too overbearing, but at the same time, letting Nemesis progress Contamination further will lead to your detriment and it will still be on you to avoid his Tentacle Strike attack.
I feel like hindered in general is a very risky thing to put into basekit, If you want my honest opinion, keep the hindered, BUT make vaccines infinite. That way there is a lot of 4v1 potential.
-
Love all the changes here. The Nemesis should feel like THE NEMESIS, not a dude that hits you with a tentacle when you go to vault something and punches you when you're out positioned.
-
It used to be worse, I'm perfectly fine with her having some decent addons. We all saw what happened to billy when he got his "rework" which we all know was a nerf.

Wow, a whole quarter of a gen maximum bonus to gens for the whole trial, where you have to make extra effort and lose your team to get all 27%! What a great perk. I wonder why it hasn't become meta yet.
That just means you're using it wrong. You don't need all 27 stacks to get good/great value out of it. Just like you don't need to have an entire 8 stacks of STBFL to make it useful.

So whats the story here?, How did it all start?, What information do we know so far?
I don't use stretched resolution at all so this doesn't affect me but my hobby does, so I am looking at what is the current state of play.
Pretty sure it started with Team Oracle using it. Since I'm pretty sure all of their members use stretched res which I think Is pretty stupid. Survivors don't need even more advantages then they already have. The reason it started with Oracle is because they are well... one of the BEST DBD comp teams out there.

Eh doesn't sound the most useful if you want one for ones when your team is in a real bad state Left Behind would be more useful.
This isn't about how strong the perk is. It's about how good it feels to use. I still think this perk is strong anyway.

My point is that you are making the assumption that it stops any survivors for doing anything productive for 30 seconds. In games I've played against deadlock I've done the following:
- Moved onto the next generator (typically one closest so I can hear if the killer is even bothering to check the gen or not)
- Move to position myself to unhook a survivor
- sought out/did bones
- Opened a chest to get an item to help move the game forward
I respect that you think this is going to be the next meta perk that tourney players are dying to get their hands on. I'll ask the question again. You're a killer in a tournament, which perk are you replacing for Deadlock?
Probably POP... Or NOED... Probably NOED since it can be cleansed.
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2443862#Comment_2443862
And I'm saying that the time when they're both up together will be very short because assuming optimal Survivor strategy, the longest amount of time they will be up together is 30 seconds minus the amount of time it took for the Survivor to find the gen that pops first.
Those 30 seconds will be extremely impactful, and like I said, only 2 gens will get done If you do the math. Very good nurse players will be able to get that first hook in less than 30 seconds easily unless they're a bit rusty.
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2443848#Comment_2443848
"Change my mind" is internet talk for "You'll never change my mind," so pass. All I'll say is that downing someone in that time frame does nothing to make Deadlock and Corrupt be active simultaneously any longer, so as far as I can tell, my point still stands.
This isn't about extending both of their duration simultaneously. It's about the time when they're both up that really matters.
-
@Mozzie said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/274493/deadlock-is-going-to-be-a-meta-tournament-perk
You are grossly overstating the value of this perk. 30 seconds isn't a long time. When I face Deadlock I simply run to the next gen and start working on it or focus on another short objective needing completed. I suspect you will rarely see this perk played in a tournament. What perk do you think people will replace it with?
30 seconds isn't a lot of time... ok we have a clown. Yeah it's true 30 seconds might not seem like much, but in a game where EVERY SINGLE SECOND MATTERS, there's NO argument. Travel time between gen = time you aren't really doing anything for the team.
-
@TAG said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2442885#Comment_2442885
Consider this:
In high level play, the optimal Survivor strategy is to spread out and hit gens separately so the Killer struggled to defend gens. If one person is going on one gen at a time, it takes 80 seconds to finish the gen. Then you factor in the travel time it takes to find a gen not blocked by Corrupt. By the time Deadlock finally kicks in and blocks the first gen, the timer on Corrupt will already be close to expiring. So to say that "four gens will be blocked after the first gen is finished" seems to me like an exaggeration because the time that the two perks will be active simultaneously is very likely to be short enough that by the time the Survivor who finished the gen and the Survivor whose gen was blocked by Deadlock move on to the next gens, Corrupt will basically be finished and will have accomplished about the same as it normally does.
Like I said, it all depends on which killer is used. If you're playing against Supalf and he's playing nurse AND he gets a down in the first 30 or so seconds, there's still PLENTY of time on corrupt. Change my mind.
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
You are forgetting one crucial detail
Deadlock can affect the same gen over and over again
This is what will happen
3 survivors on gens 1 being chased
Lets say gen A gets completed when you get the first one down
Gen B at 80% gets blocked gen C at 75% will soon be done
You start camping and it gets called out you are camping and deadlock is in play. The survivor of the finished gen and the locked gen go to other gens.
Gen C gets done 20 seconds later and gen B being the gen with most progress gets blocked again. The survivor heads to another gen
They fix them untill they reach 70-75% and then do them one by one forcing gen B to constantly be blocked
That's 60 seconds to get to 75% and then 20 seconds for every gen pop
By the time you are finished camping only 1 gen remains and 2 are at 80ish%.
You have no hope at winning at that point.
You will destroy solo's with this but against coordinated survivors you are going to need to pressure to make use out of deadlock.
I think it will be strong but camping will be punished every time with it
I said that this perk would likely be paired with corrupt. Now do your math again.

Through perk selection (BBQ), prioritizing black wards and running BP double offerings (when no black ward in hand) I've been able to run All Seeing Blood for my last hundred matches or so. I hang around the low purple ranks (occasionally dipping into red as far as 2), probably averaging 2.75k or so.
As an experiment, I just played five matches without All Seeing Blood. My tally:
- 2k (total)
- 7 hooks
It was like playing blind, I had no idea where anyone was, how to find anyone, or how to not lose people in chases. My skill level was probably around rank 16 or 17. TLDR: It was scary, and I'm never going to try it again.
I don't tend to use all-seeing blood. My build tends to be Nurses, Pop, Ruin, and Whispers. For addons, I use swift hunt - blood with blind warrior - white.
