Any and all S tier killers will be accidental and probably need to be a buggy mess in the ptb in order for people not to realize how good they are so they can be released in the wild.
Yes im talking about blight.

With all the complaints about Nurse being overpowered to a point the player can win while blind-folded, I'd assume the OP would be able to get a small kill streak with no Perks or Add-Ons
Honestly man, with how good aura reading perks feel on her i would hate to take them off. But i mean something like 10 kill streak with no perks or add ons isnt really that hard unless you get a ######### map for her.
And i do think there are ######### maps for her that while not impossible to play in makes things a lot harder, like treatment theatre that loves eating your blinks in half of the map.

If she is still S tier and i dunno if she is thats only because of mother daughter ring and how fast it makes her.
Well im talking out of my arse, i dont know much about spirit other than surface knowledge.

Sorry i forgot Blight, i edited my post.
No i dont think Billy is that hard, just dont overdo hes sprint
Really mate, you can regularly curve around loops?
And sadako isnt on the list because she is weak but because she has multitude of mechanics she has to master.
She can harass a single survivor, build their condemn, deny that survivor the opportunity to use the tape to get rid of condemn.
She has to work on spatial awareness to continue a chase immediately after coming out of a tv without losing orientation.
She has to know which tvs will be on cooldown for a while and which ones are about to come back online.
She has to learn how to use her short period of distortion when demanifested at loops.
She has to learn how to spread her teleports in order not to create dead zones for herself.
She has to learn to passively keep track of which tvs she teleported to and which ones are locked because survivors took a tape.
She has a lot of moving parts that need to be mastered.
Like yeah she can be effective without much thought but again, thats the difference between floor and ceiling.
Sadako has pretty high ceiling.

Really? On that list, the only killers that i find hard to play is, Nurse, Sadako and Oni. And the only reason Sadako is hard is because shes weak AF.
Not even billy or blight? We are talking about skill ceiling, not floor here right?

And then they get 0 points and no penalty + wasting loads of time for no reason, survivors could already play hide and seek until the killer gets bored and DC's
Buddy some people dc when they are being carried to their death hook just to not get sacrificed. To loads of people being able to say i didnt lose is pretty important and if you give them a way to ''escape'' losing they will take it.
And nobody just hides and waits for the killer to dc because killer has infinite time, that doesnt sound very in survivors favour. But if you instead say, you just gotta survive for x minutes it sounds way more appealing.
I guarantee you at least 10 times more people would do this instead of hiding and hoping killer dcs, because this is a guaranteed method with a fix time. Hell, its a secondary safety net.
-
@TAG said:
That's...not the worst idea I ever heard, tbh. The main question here would be "Is there a way to abuse this?"
If the game looks like its gonna be a loss, swfs now switch to hide and seek mode and dc after 20 minutes.
I mean its plenty abusable and worse if it becomes kinda meta games would be incredibly boring. Question is would people waste, lets say 15+ minutes just to not lose (yes, yes they would)

People who mostly pick Nurse doesn't play because she is easy, they play her because of high skill potential.

If you consider that point as easy and broken power, then she is easy killer for you.
How about they play her because she is fun and pretty strong? If people play her because of her high skill potential i would expect to see a big overlap between people that play her and people that play billy. Something tells me thats not the case at all, what do you think?

I never said DH was an issue, you know. It should be being used way more, because it's still the second strongest exhaustion perk. Just because it's no longer bullshit doesn't mean it isn't good. I wouldn't mind facing more DH. And I probably will as survivors start to become more skilled.
If you aren't taking me seriously, that's fine. But I won't take you seriously either. Because you've made it clear that you aren't as good at the game as you think you are.
Buddy trust me im trying to to take you seriously. But you are without embellishment the single most deluded person i met in this game. Nop, scratch that, any game. I face at least one DH every game. And it should be hard to use, it's a third health state.
Nurse benefitted from the 10% attack cooldown buff? Or the 10% less speed boost? Or the kicking speed buff? No. The only thing Nurse benefitted from is gen speed. Every other killer benefitted from the other changes, Nurse outright didn't.
Oh no at least 1 you say? The humanity.

No one's a parrot here. Nurse benefitted the least from the buffs out of every killer in the game. On top of that, you could make Spencer's Last Breath move at 600% speed and have Blink attacks be instadowns and Nurse's killrate would still be low. No amount of buffs to Nurse or nerfs to survivors can change Nurse's low killrate, because it's caused by inexperienced Nurses that can't even hit people unless they mess up badly.
"Just because it's skewed doesn't mean it's completely irrelevant"
Yes it does. Because it fails to acknowledge anything other than mid MMR, which is where survivors lose against Nurse the most. High MMR and low MMR would bring Nurse's killrate back to the normal levels.
My dude most people are not running dead hard, nurses biggest counter and its harder to use now anyway. To say nurse benefited least from the patches is incredibly delusional.
Well half the stuff you wrote sounds incredibly delusional to me but live and let live you know. Yeah nurse got nothing from the patches sure why not <3

Personally I’d like to see two quality of life changes to make Nurse more accessible to new players
- Make Plaid Flannel basekit but adjust its indicator to not be as large and obtrusive (it looks ridiculously big and bright at close range on some systems). It would help make her a little more playable right out of the box while not being a big buff to veteran Nurses who would mostly not need the indicator in the first place.
- Let Nurse keep her head up so she can see what’s going on during Blink stun. Staring at the ground half the match is one of the most annoying mechanics in the game, it’s the reason Nurse is the only killer I just refuse to play. I would happily even take her Blink stun lasting a tiny bit longer if I could keep her head up during it.
I’m not entirely convinced Nurse needs a nerf, but if they ever did want to nerf her it could be done without much programming by just adjusting her Blink refresh time or range. That change requires the least amount of programming since it’s just changing a parameter in a table. Like I said, though, I’m more interested in making her more new player approachable.
You know the 2nd one is a crazy huge buff right?
-
Oh no gen times have been increased by 10 whole seconds! The game has become completely unplayable and not fun at all :C

Nope. Huntress snipes are actually a matter of skill. Survivors don't get a warning and an easy dodge. It's actually possible to hit those consistently against good players. You know, if you had said that HUNTRESS was harder than Nurse, I would've agreed.
Artist's skill floor is practically all there is to her. You don't have anything else to learn. Snipes are a matter of predictions or aura reading, and neither is hard, they just don't happen often against players who know what they're doing. Nurse's skill floor is the bare minimum and you'll lose most of not all games if that's all you know.
Dunno mate, it was the only thing i practiced with her game after game and i got at least a few cross map injures/down pretty much each game.
You can say it only works against bad survivors and i agree. I used to sacrifice 2 let 2 go while playing her and matches werent exactly hard. Still, to me comparing that to nurse is like comparing formula 1 to bumper cars. As impractical as it might be lol
-
@PapiFelixPSN said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3118242#Comment_3118242
Doing that is "harder than Nurse" because it literally doesn't work if you're against good survivors. It isn't hard, it's just impractical. If you're hitting people across the map on a regular basis, you're at pretty low MMR.
I play a lot of Artist. The power is good, but not hard to use. Artist and Bubba are who I play when I want to turn my brain off and still win.
As impractical as regularly getting cross map hatchet shots.
You can of course use artist in a way similar to bubba. That is because her skill floor is pretty low and its easy to be effective with her by just doing the minimum. But again, that is the skill floor. I feel like we keep revisiting this subject
Anyway, you are free to think nurse has the lowest skill ceiling and artist is easier than nurse. Live and let live : )

Dead hard literally still counters her perfectly lmao, I use it every game. Either the nurse hits my dead hard, or chooses to fatigue on her own.
Sure its still pretty strong but its pick rate is nowhere near before and its not as easy to use as before. I agree that its pretty strong now and even stronger when you do parry a hit with it. Glad you still use it : )

Blink bug was your argument? It happened once every 500 games. Removing it didn't make Nurse any easier.
Nurse's skill floor is a muscle memory that can be picked up in 5 minutes. She has one of the lowest skill floors.
What's hard about Artist?
I was pointing out that nurse still had bugs between her first smooth over and kill switch ... what are you talking about.
Nurse has one of the lowest skill floors. Ah, no further comments on this one. Its pretty hilarious for all to see : )
Even semi regularly injuring or downing people across the map or just very far away with artist is harder than literally anything nurse can do. Artists skill ceiling is so far above nurses that its funny just comparing these two. I think when you refer to artist as easy you are again, mistakenly : ), refering to her skill floor.

DH does have a high pickrate. I see it on at least two people every game. They know how to time it too. See, the thing is, DH is still the strongest exhaustion perk at high skill levels. So as a good Nurse, I'll be facing survivors that run it over other perks.
You don't know why they killswitched her. Nurse had one bug that froze her in place after grabbing someone. All of the other bugs were fixed before the Killswitch. Stop spreading false information.
Nurse's skill floor is incredibly low. Learning how to Blink is the easy part. The hard part is learning survivor pathing and how to counter good players, who will all do different things. Nurse is hard because you have to adapt to literally everyone you face. If Nurse has a straightforward power, what exactly is a hard power? Because Artist is VERY easy.
If Nurse was easy af she'd have a higher killrate. End of story.
Yes i know why they kill switched her. It was pretty hard to miss. But you seem to have missed that she also still had blink bug etc. The bug fixes simply havent worked.
Also. Nurses skill floor is incredibly low.
Lol
Artist is very easy.

DH still has a very high pickrate. I see it in most of my games.
Her getting "smoothed over" happened before the Killswitch and those were all bugfixes.
Nurse is easier to pick up now, but still not *easy*. She's still one of the hardest in the game, and if you can't admit that you're denying objective fact.
Buddy if we are going with Dh is pretty high pick rate i think we are maybe too much on copium?
No they ''smoothed her over'' she was more buggy than ever so they kill switched her and smoothed her out for real to the point she felt way better to play.
The only hard thing about nurse was her skill floor. She is no billy or artist, she has a pretty straightforward power power thats easy to understand and with just learning her distances becomes very deadly.
The only real ''hard'' thing about nurse is learning where survivors might go when you dont see them but thats like 1/10 of playing nurse. The other 9/10 is just blinking accurately and thats easy af with little practice.
Nurse is easy af.

Some people just want to play nurse because she is strong and feels decently in control vs a lot of killers that just feel like a theme park attraction for the survivors
Well yes she does feel strong because she is strong. I'm a below average killer and i main nurse. Without add ons and only using PR as slow down im winning more than 8 times out of 10. Which is obviously anectodal and its hard to take my word for it when im advocating for some light nerfs on her but honestly, she is easy and she is strong

Dead hard is quite literally stronger against Nurse now.
And she only got one bug fixed after she was killswitched, so stop with the lies.
Thats good mate, but no one is running dead hard so it doesnt matter.
She didnt just get bug fixed, she got smoothed over. You can hold m1 for instant attacks when blinking, you can reclick and hold m2 to instantly start charging her power when you come out of a blink, you no longer get stunned first and then fatigued (this one was unintended imo so im not complaining about this one).
You can look at all of those as ''bugs'' but no they werent, these are just friggin nice and makes her a lot easier to play. And yes her bugs have been dealt with as well that made her a lot easier to play.
Is it that hard to admit for Nurse mains that these changes made her a lot easier to pick up :)

Right, because Nurse was definitely underpowered before the patch, right? Stop saying Nurse isn't hard. Because at the end of the day, Nurse has had the lowest killrates for years as well as one of the highest pickrates. If the majority of players didn't suck with her, her killrate would've been much higher. In other words, Nurse will have a relatively similar killrate.
Oh, and it also proves my point that Nurse is hard:)
Yeah she got extremely easy after she got smoothed out when she was kill switched. Got the best add ons and now there is no dead hard, her biggest counter.
There is a reason she went from being rare to see to being once every 3 games.

Jump Scare Nurse
Insidious/ Make Your Choice/ Floods of Rage/ Lethal Pursuer
You down and hook 1 survivor, blink away and hide with insidious in a sneaky position.
Wait for the unhook, survivor screams and immediately starts hearing your terror radius as you start charging blink with 9 seconds of aura reading. Can also use range add ons to make the 1st blink easier but honestly it works even without it. A meme build but works surprisingly well.

You could use Old Object and still... do everything. You were a useful teammate capable of progressing the game.
This scenario has them completely down a teammate since the MoM user can't perform a conspicuous action. Even with wallhacks a 3v1 is still a 3v1
Fair enough. Imo even with a 3v1, wallhacks are worth it but i might be wrong there. Need survivors to actually try making it work first.

i do understand that getting 12 hooks is more harder. but you dont always have to sweat ur butt of and get a 12 hooks every game. getting 12 hooks every game is imposible. When there is a chance for anyone to get a 4k by camping with no punishment, Pretty sure they will take it.
Thats not the point, the point is if you actually try to go for a 12 hook, you'll see how good or bad at the game you actually are. Even if you dont get a 4k, did you get 8 hooks? Pretty damn impressive. Did you get barely 3 and felt the game was impossible? You probably suck at the game and dont know how to play. Because there are aspects of the game you have been ignoring and using tunneling and camping as a crutch and as a result of that, you probably kinda suck at the game now.
You asked for reasons not to just tunnel and camp, and here is why you should do it when there isnt any other option even if it might not be the most effective tactic available, because little by little you start to suck at the game if thats all you know how to do <3

If two survivors occupy themselves for the unhook, why is that abusable? Honestly that seems pretty fair to me; in exchange for more effort, the survivors are being awarded with a better outcome. That isn't abusing, that's... literally gameplay. The thing we want. You about to tell me two survivors being used to rescue one from a hook and taking that risk upon themselves don't deserve a safe unhook?
And when they're looping around the hooked survivor, so what? You hit them, they keep looping, you make deadzones around that hook... You're literally the one winning in that position. And if you make the timer significant, say, 30 seconds around the hook, then it doesn't matter if they loop, it'll be long enough for you to punish them for trying to do that.
Seems perfectly fine to me, some hooks don't have any loops so a survivor won't be able to abuse it for very long at all.
You have no idea what abuse means or you dont care. Either way...
-
@Rezblaze said:

Firstly, you can make it so you can't grab people unhooking anymore, which makes facecamping not a viable strategy except for hook trades.
Then, they could actually pause the timer if the Killer is in a radius for too long. Sure its abusable in some weird, roundabout way, but not any moreso than Camping is already an abuse.
Tunneling? Simple; instead of just giving someone a few seconds of invincibility, give them a sprint-burst effect off the hook so they can get to a safe pallet.
There, you've made camping and tunneling an inefficient strategy.
Yeah not being able to grab survivors means 100% safe unhooks if 2 survivors attempt it, without even a hook trade. Pretty damn abusable.
Looping around the hooked guy becomes the meta weirdly enough, this is especially strong against killers that get their power deactivated near hook.
Camping is not an abuse, its just boring.
I understand if we dont care about the balance of the game we can just end camping pretty easily but thats just ending camping for the sake of ending camping.

If you're getting 12 Hooks, you're going against bad Survivors, simple as.
Survivors don't need to play super competitively to deny 12 Hooks, just doing Generators whenever possible and getting 12 Hooks won't happen.
Let's agree to disagree on camping and tunneling making the player "worse". It is the smarter play 90% of the time. There's no need to play harder when you can play smarter, and that's exactly what camping and tunneling are
If you play ''smart'' all the time you wont have any idea how to play ''hard'' when you need to : )
