1 killer is competing with 4 survivors so that 1 killer is clearly the power role. Are you mad about the nomenclature or something? What a useless post lol

How? It doesn't prevent friends from playing together, and it preserves the fun atmosphere that a party game should have. What kind of parties do you go to, anyhow? 😂
Cause saying if you want to play with your friends you should have to play with 'sweaty killers' is the exact opposite of what a party game does.
You want dbd to me more competitive, not more party game-like. I know you wont understand why or how but yeah <3

I thought it was pretty clear: we need two separate lobbies. One for the 4-man sweat squads & bully squads and the experienced killers who want to take them on, and one for casual players who can't or don't want to play the game like it pays their rent, and have a good time.
Oh yeah thats what i thought you meant. Than yea your suggestion is pretty ironic <3

No, you don't seem to understand the difference between a party game and a competitive one. I never suggested people shouldn't be allowed to play together. Explain to me how the presence of a bully squad lends itself to a party atmosphere.
Dunno what you are trying to suggest than <3

@Superbeasto1974 said:
I feel very strongly that they should make separate lobbies for casual players and swfs. Dbd is supposed to be a party game, but it's been hijacked by the competitive element found in most other multi-player games, and that makes it less enjoyable for those of us who don't want or feel the need to be alphas and just want to have fun.
You dont see the irony in your comment dont you?
What kind of party game would dbd be if you couldnt play with your friends.
-
If they get hit the animation doesnt play out. You can do what some streamers do and lunge while you are kind of in their vicinity to a completely different place and if they dh its probably auto dh.
Or if they are in the open you can walk right up to them till you are basically hugging them, follow them like that for a few seconds to make sure they dont DH and then do a normal attack. If they DH it, its 99% auto DH.

If multiple survivors are in the area it means they are not doing gens which is a win for the killer.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3222091#Comment_3222091
True, that could work.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3222061#Comment_3222061
From the amount of forum posts about killers that camp and tunnel nowadays, apparently it isn't enough.
I'm convinced if they made OTR base kit today there would still be basically the same number of people complaining about tunneling.
-
Taking a survivor perk to a killer game was your first mistake
-
I dont wanna be an a$$ but is the 10 second base kit with 110% move speed not enough for you?

That's literally your own opinion. You consider Twins interesting and I consider it one of the worst designed killers in the game. You find Trapper boring and some people put hundreds of hours into him.
I personally find most killers unique and while I'm not a fan of most of them it's good that variety exists.
You can consider twins worst designed or w/e but you have to concede that what they are not is basic. There is nothing unique about trapper.
And yeah i want there to be variety but apart from a number of killers that can be counted on two hands, the 30 killer roster is unoriginal af. It doesnt have to be. If they can make wesker why the hell is the rest of the killers so absolutely mind numbingly basic.

Kind of like how Steam just needs to family share to basically have infinite accounts?
You do realize that cheaters were already rising before DbD was added to EGS. If they were to remove it from EGS all that would happen is they would simply move back to Steam. Even if they were to fix the family share thing people could still buy the game for as low as 3$ thanks to key resellers, and trust me there are people who have way more than 3$ to spare who are ready to ruin multiple peoples days
It really aint as simple as "egs gone problem gone"
Damn i could have gotten the game for 3?

You can absolutely implement flying. It'll just be unbalanced as hell and be overpowered or worthless depending on the map.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3221918#Comment_3221918
Yep, sure. The endless seething controversy since her release is totally an indication of fantastic design.
Nah she is great because i said so <3

The longer the game goes on, the fewer original ideas there are to plumb. You notice how every killer released since Twins has some kind of unique status effect they inflict on the survivor? It's because mechanically, they're running out of different ways the killer can go about hitting you. There was plenty of new ground to tread back in 2017 and 2018, but now, most killers are going to end up feeling similar to already existing killers just because there's only so many things you can do within the game's limitations.
Like... flying, wall crawling, destroying environmental objects, turning survivors into killer minions - they're all cool ideas for killers, but they don't work with DBD's structure. Nurse is a fantastic example of what happens when you ignore game design and work outside the limits.
Also im convinced flying can be implemented in game as demonstrated by .... cheaters lol

You probably have a high-ish MMR on killer and a low MMR on survivor.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3221636#Comment_3221636
What fix...where?
There is no such thing as 'low MMR hell'. Unless the SBMM system breaks down (lobby dodges cause this to happen), you should be getting an opponent that you have a 50% chance of escaping against.
Elo hell is real its where a good portion of survivors just dc after their first hook. Good luck surviving in that situation.

Really wouldnt
keep coping
It honestly would. Atm they only need to pay for the hacks and even if they get banned they can just use another epic account. If instead they had to buy the game again and again it would dissuade a lot of people

I don't know why people keep comparing Dredge to Onryo, they're barely anything alike. Dredge is closer to Freddy than anything else.
Teleporting to tvs is very similar to teleporting to lockers and both can do it way more than freddy. Both have barely useful stealth mechanics and both have audio cues when they are stealthing, sadako with a lullaby and dredge by virtue of being loud af.
Sadako is missing dredges anti loop and dredge is missing sadakos condemn but both of those are kinda weak enough to barely matter so they are basically the same killer.
In any case releasing dredge after sadako was incredibly boring because of how similar they are.

Pinhead has an incredibly bad power and gets carried by his passive which is probably the best in the game

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/349872/why-is-there-so-few-original-killers
Hmm.
I'd say that there are a lot more idiosyncratic killers than you think.
- Artist is incredibly original with her birds.
- Plague is completely unique.
- Hag plays differently to any other killer.
- Dredge and Onryo share a bit of DNA, but Dredge is fantastic overall. He's got a lot of simple and easy to understand tricks, but you can do all sorts of cool stuff with his remnant.
- Blight and Nurse actually both feel very one dimensional to me, compared to, say, Artist and Dredge.
- Nemesis has a lot of unique quirks.
- Myers may seem simple, but he's actually 3 different killers in one, informed by his addons. Ditto Demogorgon.
I could go on. However...it's like a fighting game. After a certain point, it's difficult to do something completely wacky because the game plays a certain way baseline.
You know fighting games actually have depth and interesting rosters right?

For the same reason when dcing has no penalty its so prevalent.
Some people are just like that.

It actually is considered very toxic, even with killer players.
You can say its unfun, a crutch, unskillful and whatever else. But we are well past the collective delusional era when it was considered toxic.

But imagine the chase music?

You overestimate how common saboing a hook is. Pr is just really solid. So is floods on some killers.

Thanks, hopefully I am with 2.7k hours. And I agree, no such things as gen rushing, but you aren't improving your skill if you just tunnel vision one survivor out and not applying map pressure. It's much more fun if you're actually a skillful player and have something to show off other than "I can follow a survivor I'm always faster than and continuously hook them until they die".
Oh hey i agree completely again, its a crutch : D And well whats fun depends on the person playing so im certain some people find it fun.
So, there is nothing toxic or inherently bad about tunneling and if a person thinks tunneling is fun, they should go ahead and tunnel. It is most definitely a crutch though.

Okay so those "toxic gen rushers" the killer community complains about is gibberish because that's the survivor's objective... doing gens. I win all of my killer games without tunneling, it's just something killers do if they suck at applying map pressure.
Yes toxic gen rushers is the exact same sort of nonsense. There is no such thing as genrushing.
And good for you buddy, im glad you are good at the game : D

I pick to not release a new map for the next x chapters and instead slowly but surely rework my last 5 maps.

??????? i gave you as simple an explanation as i could, i cant go any simpler, im sorry
I have no idea why you are saying "You'll be better off in the long run if you stop with this us/them nonsense"
I play both sides, i like to play in a fun completive style as killer, sweating my ass off to win a game of DBD at the expense having fun and giving other players a good time is weird to me.
You gave me nothing more concrete than its seen as scummy which is a little flimsy.
I didnt say anything about the whatever it takes win is OK part. Because considering playing to win to be toxic is a little absurd.
Please take a look at what you are saying and consider if its a little on the flimsy side or not.
-
@KrazyKatFTW said:

In simple terms, you seem to be saying that doing whatever it takes win is OK even if that gives your fellow game players bad experience.
You say "Its never wrong to tunnel." I say your wrong, being that desperate to win a game of DBD is tragic, tunnelling has long been regarded as a scummy tactic in DBD even by some of those that do it.
So now that you failed to come up with a single reason why its scummy other than i see it as scummy, i invite you to reconsider. You'll be better off in the long run if you stop with this us/them nonsense.

It is wrong to tunnel if you are deliberately doing it with the intention of making your opponent miserable. It might not be punished, but it’s wrong.
It’s also wrong to tunnel if you’re doing it because of discrimination. For example, they have a pride charm, you don’t like their stance on LGBT and decide to tunnel them because of it, it’s wrong and can be punished if you admit it in chat.
Its never wrong to tunnel if you think it’ll help you win.
Agreed. Its so simple but somehow some players get their heads so twisted and deluded that they think playing the game is toxic and a bannable offense.

@KrazyKatFTW said:

You got a scummy attitude, tunnelling because your that desperate to win is pathetic, killer is the the dominant role in the game and good killers dictate the pace and the tone of the game far more than survivors. Good killers should dish out fun competitive games instead of depressing must win at all cost boring snoozefests.
Explain to me in simple terms exactly what part of my message is scummy?

No. The only Killers shown were Trapper and Plague.
On the other hand, all six Survivors were shown. David, Claudette, Felix, Jane, Yun-Jin & Feng.
Assuming they do a six/six split like they did for the Twisted Masquerade event.
EDIT: I lied. Doctor, Hillbilly and Nurse were also shown having one. The final Killer is unknown, however.
Yissssssssssss
-
Yeah DH is still here but its not as braindead easy to use or as common.
Hell ive seen survivors use dh while i lunge and i still down them because the window of parry is a lot more strict.
Buffs to killer wasnt that impactful outside of the 10 second gen speeds but dh and ds being gone more than makes up for it. And here is 1 huge difference between otr and ds, you can tell a survivor has otr before you start a chase with them. Oh and if you hit them as they come off hook its basically useless. If you really absolutely want to tunnel otr offers basically no protection.
Killer is in a much better place before the patch and to act otherwise is kinda delusional.

Not sure if this is sarcasm. I honestly think it's probably what TicTac said in this thread. They really meant 6 survivor shirts and 6 killer weapons. Not 12 for each role. 6 doesn't really satisfy me as far as variety goes. I don't play any of the killers they showed as having candy weapons in the trailer. If they did do 12 that would probably be wide enough of a shotgun blast that I'd be content. It'd hit one or two of my preferred killers.
The downside of maining a killer, a good chance we miss those shots lol.
Was nurse shown in the trailer?
-
Oh god just 12 isnt enough
-
Its perfectly fine.
-
Did i get something wrong or are they not becoming available (forever) for shards after a month?
-
Wait, are the candy weapons here to stay after the event???
-
Its never wrong to tunnel.
Dont listen to this games community too much. They have a little twisted idea about whats allowed/toxic and whats not.
-
Tell me how you know the tv you are blocking is the right one?
-
Huntress and Artist i would consider balanced, strong and fun to play.
I would consider Twins balanced, strong and unfun to play.
I wouldnt even consider playing Hag.
I cant consider Spirit and Plague because i suck at them.
I would consider both Pig and Sad-ako both unbalanced, weak and fun to play.
I would consider Nurse as unbalanced, strong and incredibly fun to play.
