What a surprise, Hyperfocus is used less now that Wesker (aka 40m-Terror Radius) and RPD-Maps (aka super-small) are not as popular anymore and you dont gain that many Stake Out-Stacks to keep your Hyperfocus-Stacks anymore.
Hyperfocus is really not a big deal and Killer Mains, once again, overreacted. As usual.
Hyperfocus is unironically op. Its just not a problem because its not meta. It will be a problem if and when it becomes meta.

I...actually agree.
There's no way for the Killer to lose unless they MASSIVELY misplay.
Reminds of of old DS in the EGC, it's just a free win
I mean, its easy to lose if gates are on opposite sides of the map with stuff in between. They can pretty easily get out before you do a patrol sometimes. Which is extremely bad map rng i guess

"Buddy pal" do you know what a rhetorical question is?
I mean if what you are trying to imply with your rhetorical question is straight up wrong it requires an answer. You are welcome for the information, have a nice day <3

It's not 0 seconds, I'm sure you'd know that if you used kindred everyday, or even played survivor more.
i should have phrased it as 0.whateverseconds . Look buddy mate friend, the duration of the initial bubble is not important or in any way relevant to the discussion you asked for how it would affect people negatively and i told you how.
Killer not camping yet vs decent survivors you are getting a serious advantage in chases because you dont have to guess, you see them coming your way and noone else is nearby, BBQ, run. You know how annoying it is when you face the occasional really good SWFs that do that? Imagine every solo doing the same if they are good enough.
You are welcome for the answer buddy friend pal <3

That's not even a thing right now because it has a black bubble.
What do you mean its not a thing obviously you can see the killer moving towards you. Oh do you mean the 0. whatever seconds you miss when they hook some one? Cmon buddy...

I think a big part of it is how long you've played
Like even before the big rework, everyone I had was at Level 50 and had a ton of stuff with them. All killers I liked to play were maxed out and even most survivors at least had my "Must Have" perks on them. BP has never really been a big deal to me for quite a while.
This just kind of compounded with the new rework where I really don't care about getting new BP. At this point, I do dailies just to give me an excuse to "go for" something (same with Archive Challenges). It's not so much about the BP but more about the variety they make me do.
However, for a brand new player, I think that the big rework would be a huge boon. I don't know how long you've played (you've got a big post count but joined the forum in May of 2022 so I don't want to make assumptions) but this big overhaul seems to be more for the new player way more than it is for veterans of the game just because in general, veterans of the game don't need it.
Good point. I'm still prestige 2-3ing some of my least played characters but yea i dont lack for perks.
-
@Marigoria said:
People who say it showing the killer aura would be too strong..... why is it a problem? is camping not easy enough already?
Its a problem because if you are working on a gen and the killer starts immediately walking towards you can be on the other side of the map by the time they get to your gen. Aka the most annoying part of playing against good swf.
Things like this shouldnt be hard to get buddy.
-
I would like them to stop making maps and fix the current ones so most of them arent uhhh dogpoo?
-
I mean cheating is not rampant whatsoever. Cheaters are a pretty small minority and it only seems rampant because they target streamers.
Solution is honestly simple. Give the targeted streamers alone the ability to dc with no penalty and take it away if they abuse it. Gg no re.
-
You miss the point of anti slugging. Its there because being on the ground for minutes on end is unfun. Your changes misses that entirely.
The change to mori would honestly be fine, but it basically ensures that unless all 4 survivors are slugged together, one can always pick themselves up which seems needlessly frustrating?
I think your changes are straight up bad mate.
-
Perk is insane but its not meta enough because it requires a pretty high pressure play style and most survivors are just vibing and dont want to deal with that. If it ever actually becomes meta it will get nerfed to the ground.
-
Lol this is hilarious

Off the back of this thread I tried the offering to moderately increase the fog and honestly I wasn't impressed. The moderately increased fog is still lesser than the standard fog of back in the day and the fact that is white rather than the darker colour is used to be doesn't really add any atmosphere apart from Mount Ormond where the white colour pallate fits.
Its not just the moderately increases the fog thing. Its the eyrie offering + a coin offering +fog offering.
You need all 3. That particular combination is for whatever reason bugged.

Why was the CD insane?
It's a bad perk. It is basically a weaker, more conditional version of a baseline feature. It ONLY benefits you against camping killers or really, really bad ones.
The only valid complaint was the griefing one, but that didn't warrant the perk's neutering.
Now getting, at max, thirty seconds out of it is not enough for a perk that, effectively, only the killer can activate.
If you're terrified of a survivor being incapacitated for an additional thirty seconds as opposed to being taken off hook to help his or her team, you're probably playing above your skill level.
And if Reassurance scares you, I think we can make an educated guess as to how you got there.
I'm not going to sit here and spoon feed you the reasons why a 10 second cool down on a 30 second effect is insane.
If you cant understand why, there is no conversation to be had.
Love you honey <3

The OP asked:
What would you do?
He didn't ask for your opinion on hi suggestion. You ignored his question and told him what you thought in a very crass way.
When you talk about an idea you can be blunt and it's not rude. You didn't talk about his idea at all and just insulted him. That's rude.
My idea is that people that have no idea whats balanced and whats not should be kept far away from balancing decision <3
Nurse shouldnt have any add ons that makes her power even better directly. Range and recharge need to go entirely, her power is strong enough that she shouldnt have those options in the first place.
2nd blink should be special attack. Nurse doesnt need to heavily rely on crutches like starstruck that take advantage of bad survivor decisions.

People don't understand that Reassurance could have easily been abused. Not only against camping killers, but also against survivors on the hook to keep them there. The devs recognized the danger and did the right thing. And like you said: This perk is much better now in terms of design.
Honestly yeah. Good players would have used it to keep their team mates on death hook safe and trolls would have griefed with it but all of that is secondary to how insane the cool down was in the first place.
People dont have the most basic common sense in this game and i have no clue what breaks them like this or if they were already broken in the first place lol

That's rather rude, don't you think? Yes it is a bad idea, but you don't have to be so condescending about it.
I think they should start with making attacks from the Nurse's 2nd or later blinks into special attacks. It's a simple tweak that would have a huge impact on her being able to use Star Struck and Haunted Grounds so oppressively. It could even make her fun to play against again. "If I can dodge the first blink, maybe I'll have a chance!"
Its blunt, not rude.

Me personally and nurse mains might hate me but I say:
1 way to nerf nurse is by making "Spasmodic Breath" basekit. For those who don't know Spasmodic breath makes Nurse 115/4.6 after a successful blink for 60 seconds, that's 1 minute that its a killer you can actually loop freely. I also think that this way they wouldn't have to even rework most of her addons range and recovery can be good for a real reason.
I feel nurse right now does not need her range and recovery addons. How about for her power making her 110 and only giving her 1 blink and a longer cooldown on that blink.
What would you do?
What i think is that you have no idea what you are talking about and it shows. Nurse needs some nerfs but people like you should stay far away from it.
-
No mither, you start the trial broken and will immediately go to struggle phase when hooked.
30% increased generator repair speed. 30% increased healing and vaulting speed.
It should always be a go ahead and use it if you dare perk. Atm its a why would i use it perk.
-
You guys are looking at it with a rose tinted glass.
Game was terrible then and it has never been as good as now. If you want to play an even more unbalanced and bs version of the game though, just why?
-
The CD was insane. We all assumed the 40 sec CD started after the effect ended, cause you know otherwise it would be insane. This is more in line with what it should have done in the first place.
A 30 sec pause every 10 seconds ... what?
-
Just wait till a swf takes you to eyrie with a coin and fog offering lol.

But Nurse is also the killer who has the least trouble getting back distance so it's not really useful against her...
Against Blight I would agree
But again that's assuming they are not tunneling you and you are not already in endurance
There is no high level meta in dbd since there is no 'high level'. The cut off point for mmr is low af and with how sbmm works you can get matched with basically every one.
Any one who thinks they are in ''high level dbd'' is basically just fooling themselves.

We'll find out in 5 days but from what they said Mom shouldnt be an endurance effect now so yes it should stack

Its better than before, it just takes a good amount of skill to use so its not going to see much play.
Its also still the best counter against high tier killers.

Some people like the game in general, but hate broken or boring experience "certain killers" provide.
Doctor is obnoxious. So is Legion. So is Trapper. So is Spirit. So is Onryo. So is Dredge. So is Freddy.
Nurses and Blights will drown you in their sweat, not pleasant.
Maybe try fixing the game and making it more fun for all players, not just killers, instead of complaining about survivors not wishing to entertain killers at their own expense?
Maybe go play a different game at that point lmao

It doesn't have to be a unique weakness to affect him. ShiftW deletes all pure chase-based Killers.
It's why I don't think any purely 1v1 Killer is anything over C tier
Wrong shift w doesnt delete nurse, blight or spirits chase potential.
-
Because once you get a down you already have some good pressure.
Its still a very good perk.
Stop throwing a tantrum

Nurse has never been easier and as smooth to play as she is now.
+fewer people using DH makes her incredibly more fun to play.
She needs a few nerfs

Then I'm sure you won't mind going against a 4 man beamer squad with a Meat Plant or Garden of Joy offering with meta perks and comms every single game, then.
Yes, it's part of the game. So were 0 hook moris and instagen BNPs. Doesn't mean they should stay that way.
Nurse loves garden of joy and doesnt care about beams or squads.
Another win for nurse ma boi <3

Lol yeah not all killers are equal.
Personally if im going to invest a substantial time into a killer i
wantneed them to be fun and rewarding.Low tier killers, despite being fun wont be rewarding if you expect to perform well.

I dunno if there are any non-drastic options for bringing Nurse in-line with other killers. Can't really balance her to any realistic degree if she remains this special, different island entirely unto herself.
What if i slide you this 100k BP to sweeten the deal?
-
@Rydog said:
I saw a great Nurse rework idea on a Reddit thread the other day:
"Keep 2 blink tokens but make blink attacks consume a token, so she can either do 2 blinks to travel or blink + attack. Shorten blink range to 16 meters, increase recharge time to 4 seconds per token. Blinks are now special attacks so no more Exposed BS. 110% movement speed to compensate and make her in line with other killers."
Lol
Why do people think taking away the 2nd blink is in any way reasonable.

Uhhhhhh, she is also a medical personal and helps people so she needs those?
Am i getting to you?

because it just hurt the killers who didnt need to be hurt by it the most like Trapper, Pig, etc. While barely having an effect on high mobility killers like Nurse or Blight.

If i eat a ds with nurse now its not even an inconvenience

Oh my, what a cute attempt.
No, they nerfed the Perk because it was too oppressive on mainly Legion and Plague. They just did a terrible Job by doing so, because they made Thana only useable on Legion or Plague and worthless for every other Killer.
Oh so perks can be oppressive on killers without the killers being OP. Thank you for clearing that up, you can go now honey : )
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
They nerfed this Perk because of Nurse. If Nurse stops breaking the game and stops holding back Perk Design, you can have fun and smart Builds all you want.
But it was clear from the beginning that this Perk will go hand in hand with Starstruck on Nurse and the Devs nerfed the Perk instead of tackling the Problem itself (which is Nurse).
Did they also nerf Thana because Legion and Plague are OP?
Shall we rework Legion and Plague so they stop breaking the game?

How on earth do you tunnel half a team? Posts like this are why I can't take tunneling complaints seriously; people think literally everything is tunneling. There's no definition of the term.
I know its not tunneling but i like calling it that because its funny and i think it carries the spirit of tunneling while being more efficient and exciting.

I am going to be honest, not sure if one can call that tunneling, if you are tunneling two survivors at the same time.
Though I do get what you mean. Basekit DS would be the best solution here, and activatable twice. It would make sure that survivors always have some time after getting unhooked before they can be put on the hook again, and that would really nerf tunneling a lot, and make playing fair and going for hooks the most viable strategy.
But I don't think the game is in a state yet where such a drastic nerf to killer can happen.
Well the thing about ''tunneling'' two people at the same time is they usually forgo their protections while you chase and hook the 2nd survivor and then you repeat.
BBQ and Floods help immensely with this because with BBQ you just go for the nearest survivor after hookin the first and while you are chasing them floods helps you down them quicker. And then you rince and repeat with BBQ helping you find the first survivor and Floods helping you down them faster etc.
I love that play style. And i do agree its not tunneling, but it can often times be more effective than tunneling.
Well only basically nurse and blight can do it though i imagine.
