Flashlight Cooldown is to long
Nearly 1 full second is to long Cooldown, it removes adjustments but also you can click to fake a direction and attempt a spin.
The only issue were Macros with 100 clicks per second.
Make it so the max clicks are 10 per second. That's realistic for a human with fast fingers
Comments
Just move the beam off the killer for a moment and move it back on.
10 clicks per second huh?
No mate you arent getting your clikies back lol
If what your saying is actually true the most you would need is 2 clicks per second, frankly im glad that the spam clicking will be gone, if you cant get the blind on the first shine you dont deserve the blind.
You'd need at absolute maximum 3 clicks unless you've royally completely and utterly buggered up that timing.
Stop complaining you can't clicky clicky tbag anymore and find more creative ways to BM.
I could do it for sure. I have a well trained trigger finger from playing a lot of call of duty
Eats up juice. And doesn't fix the click to initiate spinning and confuse the killer.
Then you should learn to time your flashlight better.
Pretty sure 10 clicks a second could trigger a seizure.
What nerf? You aim, turn flashlight on, adjust as needed, and get blind. If you miss, then you miss, and aim better next time.
3 clicks for second would be fine and if they get flaslight save because of it they deserve it flaslight saves are one of hardest things in the game.
Nope sorry if you need 2 extra readjustments you dont deserve the blind. Any more than 2/second is unnecessary.
Correcting is a skill in itself. Why remove more and more aspects of dbd and make it boring? Yall want us to sit on gen and only hold M1?
So does doctor. We gonna disable doctor?
Says who? You? And you are who again?
You can correct your flashlight by moving off the killer face for a moment. If you can't get flashlights to work with that it's a skill issue.
A person who hits flashlights on their first try and doesnt need to click multiple times at a killer to get a blind
10? no 3-4 HELL YEAH
they also messed up the angle
You lying if you trying to say you never missed or had to correct.
Not saying i never missed but i am saying i never had to correct with a fairly high success rate
Because you lack the skill to correct. Why take away that aspect which requires skill?
Aim takes skill, timing takes skill, try learning those instead of relying on a gimmick. They took that stuff away from deathslinger and Pyramid head, why should flashlights be any different.
????????????
Bro you good? Make sense pls
That is true it is still a nerf but it's a nerf that is maybe necessary and if it's really bad now to use a torch you guys should maybe go and complain to your own part of the community cause it was survivors who overdid it with there macros just like you lost the anti camp idea bhvr tested because survs where quick to find a way to turn it into a weapon
collective blame. So nerf all killers because some nod head, attack ppl on hook and stuff. Right? Makes sense right?
Yes it makes sense what else you gonna do?
And of course killer see the same we got basekit BT because some killer tunnel like crazy but not all do this
The difference is, that it was cheap and rewarding to do that. That was the reason for change. Flashlights are already so hard to use (and have so many counters), that toolbox/medkit is always better choise - meaning another nerf makes no sense from gameplay perspective. No toxicity stuff involved in discussion...
Why do people continue to this flat out LIE?
It's not even an opinion. It's a straight up LIE.
Flashlights are not the worst item in the game.
When KEYS can stun the killer, we'll talk. Until then your beamer can literally deny kills while my broken key literally has zero function.
The problem is that flashlights should be hard to use for what they do. You can delete half of the chase the killer did with that item so it should be something that isn't easy to use. For the same reason I'm not a fan of many regression perks we have right now cause PR and Pop atleast needs a down and hook but other perks are a bit over tuned in my mind.
And then you can put the toxicity and the health stuff in that discussion so in my book the change is deserved and I don't think it is to detrimental
Sorry but if you think FL is not the weakest item then it speaks for itself that you are not very skilled killer.
Keys and Maps are objectively weaker than flashlights.
And you can see this by items survivors bring into trial because toolboxes, medkits, and flashlights make up the majority of items survivors chose to use.
Medkits < toolboxes <<<<< flashlights <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< rainbow maps
Yes. I did no mistake. Keys are not there because their usage is within statistical error.
Anyway - nerfing worst still usable item is sad by itself. Maybe flashlight timing should be a little bit (like 0.1s) more forgiving to offset the nerf.
On both killer and survivor side, I'll see at least 1 flashlight every 3 lobbies or so. They really aren't that uncommon.
Also the timing doesn't need to be more forgiving, because you can just move off killer's face briefly to correct your flashlight timing.
a, It eats your battery way more
b, it removes utility from it - point another survivor to go some direction or ask to be seen by one
c, you can't use it mid chase to slow yourself (to 360 killer) any more, because it force-stays on for too long.
d, as mentioned it makes timing adjustment harder
All of these could be solved if you were able to click 3x quickly and then no more for a full second.
So I gave you 4 reasons why this is a (unnecessary) nerf.
A note. You see so many flashlights not because they are that good, but because they are fun. For similiar reason I always take saboteur to my games even if most killers can ignore the fact, that I sabotaged their designated hook to their face. Because they will make it to next one regardless
The amount of battery that would get eaten by correcting your flashlight mid save is very minor to the point that if this is an actual problem for you, just get better at timing the save. And no utility is being removed as you can still click the flashlight in a direction you want to point (or use the actual "come here" and "over there" emotes in the game). Timing adjustments are being made harder, they are just different. You just gotta adapt.
But with your point 3 is literally just "I can't bm the killer mid chase with a flashlight anymore", so I really do not feel any sympathy towards your issue with the changes. I'm sorry you think your ability to bm is more important than health issues.
Just learn the new timings... why do people feel the need to stop learning
It's not bm. The idea is not even to point flashlight at killer when clicking like this. The idea is, that clicking flashlight immediatelly slows you deleting your momentum at that moment. If you do not use flashlight and instead use keyboard, you will change your direction slower.
Has nothing to do with skill.
Keys and maps objectively do less than flashlights.
