  • The biggest issue with 3 gen strat is, you cannot force the survivors to do gens.

At some point you have the break your grasp and commit to a chase and than lose the game.

  • 70% of the current matches are with SWFs

If you would block all SWFs you end up with roughly 30% of the player base. Your queue time would tripple or more.

Not counting the chance, how many of those solos are on your level.

The biggest issue would be, who would want to face SWFs? What incentives would a killer have if they can chose to vs solos?

This in it self would explode the queue time even more and SWFs would start abandon DBD...loss of players and revenue for BHVR and less quality content for all of us!

SWFs are a part of DBD, yes I dislike them, to me it goes against the core of DBD, but here we are now. Lobby dodging Solos, so they can be playing with friends was unfun for everyone and we don't want to return.

Right now we need to sit on our hands and wait for BHVR to successfully launch their dedicated servers (huge investment for them) give them time to smooth out all the occuring bugs and issues some will have with the servers.

Once they are stable, BHVR can finally start to work on debugging, looking into DC issue, hit boxes (latency controlled by their own servers) and if the game runs smoothly enough they can start to fiddle with solos vs SWFs, adjust killers, declare a new vision and direction for the game ect. 3-4 month to go.

Until then I advice you, report only the game breaking issues and inspire them with the wish list.

  • I stumbled upon a video of tru3 playing the Hag on the game map and I thought to myself, that game looks fun. I love the horror element of the popping up Hag phantasms and how you are able to plan ahead, lay down traps, control the map and toy with the survivors by chasing them in a prepared area.

There are not much horror games out there and I loved the isolated fantasy of the survivors vs a ruthless killer.

I was shocked when I faced my first SWF squad! I felt cheated!

This game was supposed to be about horror, surviving the killer and escaping and not bullying the killer, taking the game hostage and buttdancing at the gates.

I still love the Hag and also love to play spooky Myers, 3 Blink Nurse, Doctor, Freddy and Bubba <3

I would love to see more spooky killers in the future and a killer with a chain to jank those buttdancing survivors from the gates. Maybe a Prophunt killer? I am no tree or this gen moved?

  • It's in the narrative of the game.

The killer is watching the survivors at the campfire.

    They prepare for the match.

If not, Franklin's would be like a second Ruin, almost mandatory on certain killers, so you effecty only have 2 Perks to chose. Not good.

By checking the steam account you can see if they are SWF and up your game.

Voice can nullify so much of a killers Perks and Powers. Knockout, Third Seal ect. are all less effective or even nullified by voice. So don't bother taking them against obvious SWF.

Do you need to know more?

  • Why do you even play the game if you DC against certain killers and/or maps?

You just tell everyone that you are unwilling to play the game, to learn and improve yourself.

This is a clear sign, that DBD is not a game for you.

To all those who are saying, punishing won't help. There need more incentive to play the game, are you nuts? If they don't enjoy the game they can go.

There are clearly enough players, who are enjoying the game as it is or they can voice their opinion in a constructive matter. Simply DCing and screwing everyone over is just bad.

  • Well ranked is basically meaningless, it only helps to split up the community to have a rough balance around experience and skill.

It would be just unfun to gamble as a new player to be matched against skilled veterans.

  • The problem SWF present is not that you play with your friends.

We all love our friends and we wish you the merriest of time with your friends.

What we don't like is unfair games.

SWF tend to share additional information via voice, yes voice is not exclusive for SWF, but it can alter the game. There is no way to detect this or counter it.

If it would be clear from the beginning what game we all are playing we can agree and accept this and prepare accordingly.

If you go Deerstalker, Knockout and Hex: Third Seal (or any blind / hex) and want to split the survivors up one by one, you cannot do this against SWF, so you basically loose 2-3 perks just by facing SWF/voice.

Your choice to play with a friend prohibits indirectly what I can play effectively.

I know it is childish, but no one likes things getting taken away from them, especially when you cannot prepare for it.

This inconsistency and uncertainty is the main cause of frustration and salt in this game.

In my eyes you have all the rights to play with your friend, but for a mid rank or low rank killer it is unfunny to face a veteran of the game without a heads-up.

Just turn the table, how fun would it be for rank 15 survivors, recently started to play the game facing rank 1 killers?

We recently went through a new matchmaking that exactly made this happen and the outcry of the community was so immense, that the devs reverted it.

I don't blame any SWF, I even enjoy playing with friends, but it destabilize the spirit of the game.

I wish the game would get balanced around voice and SWF, give the solos the option to join the voice with an easy connection to discord and adjust the killers accordingly.

The game was intended as a horror game and isolation was a major theme in it, but the community developed in a different direction and the game needs to follow or make a decision.

I recently asking around what excites players of DBD and it seams that spooky, scary Killers are the most enjoyed ones on both sides.

I am not from BHVR, but I would love to see a heavier emphasis on atmosphere and spooky killers like Myers, Spirit and roaring Pig.

  • Every survivor has access to voice, not only SWFs.

This negates every Blind and Hex Perk and give the survivors free Intel.

You cannot run and sneaky builds on killers.

All perks and add-ons with blind effect can be removed because of voice they are ineffective.

Against a serious good team of survivors you have 4-5min of playtime.

You cannot afford anything else than perks and add-ons that let you hunt them down and end chases fast.

4k don't let you pip anymore and if you are too good at chases you lose out at chaser emblem points.

No it's not fun that the other team gets access to 3th party programs that can substitute 16 perks and nullify your own. That you get forced to play a certain playstyle and killer to be viable at all ranks.

Before the matchmaking changes you had a Safe Haven at the lower ranks. But now even veteran players are stuck with new players or casuals and they ruin each others fun.

If anything I said false, please correct me and teach me.

  • The PTB nerf plus her lack of cutting corners make her a bad killer.

If her sickness wouldn't slow her down like in her earlier state it would be better, but there need to be an incentive to heal, like reduced action speed.

Her biggest weakness are trees, pillars and everything that breaks LOS.

Survivors quickly found out that you just can run in circles and there is absolutely nothing she can do besides waiting for bloodlust to stack up...

The fountains don't differentiate if you got injured be the sickness or by a hit, you getting a free instaheal. I sometimes infect myself on purpose to get a fast heal.

Her puke is fun, but in a chase you have a problem. Do you puke on the survivor and wait/puke some more until they get broken or you just hit them twice like a m1 killer and nullify your own power?

She is a m1 killer with a gimmicky power.

It can maybe potentially help you in the chase...but often it doesn't. If you lose your Target they get a free heal.

Corrupted Veil is nice if you hit someone (not getting LOS broken or run in a circle) but you lose the infection aspect of the power.

Over pallets and windows it is great tho.

Need to experiment more on her but I would say she is mid to low tier. Gravitate more to low.

  • The devs already acknowledged that the game, especially with every new chapter has become grindier. The are testing new way to rework the bloodweb.

My guess would be, they are focusing now on their servers, afterward they can start fixing stuff.

  • about voice...the crux is the following, in theory everyone, even the solos have access to voice.

BHVR don't want to force voice because it was never intended but the cannot forbid it nor control it.

So they say, everyone has access, therefore no need to make it mandatory for the players. Those who want use voice can do it.

The problem is, they never can balance the game, because they will never acknowledge voice, because everybody knows that it divides the community.

    We are around 25k players.

If they remove voice 70% will leave, because they cannot play with their friends.

They neither are willing to let the other 30% go, because these solos are playing the game as intended, the game the devs had initial in mind as they created DBD.

Now we are stuck in a limbo, where everybody is/could use voice, but no one is balanced around voice and as long BHVR won't but their foot down and could finally decide on what they want the game to be like, we are stuck in this limbo forever.

The solos and killers of DBD love the original plan of solitude and exposure.

SWF represents the party mentality like Fortnight or PUBG.

They don't want to betray their original game but also cannot afford to lose the majority of swf-players whom bring in the money and playerbase.

They really should opt for voice, give solos similar powers and adjust the killers accordingly.

SWF not only get the info about totems, gens, killer, gates, they also know what gate are open, where the hatch is, who needs help, pallet stun, flashlight saves, bodyblock, who will do gens and who can go saving/helping.

Yes most of the SWF just goof around, but everyone who enables voice (solos and swf alike) can have access to these kind of powers at any given time.

Most chose not to use them, but if needed they will/can use them.

It becomes problematic for the killer, because there are no indication what survivors they are facing and what to expect.

Can I mindgame and outplay that survivor, cutting them of from information or is it futile because they are in voice and communicate regardless of my effort.

This alone kills a lot of playstyles and only allows most brutal and direct builds to be viable with almost no counterplay, Amazing nurse players who ignore all terrain, godlike Billies who can turn on a dime and instasaw you, Prayerbeeds Spirit who can catch you offguard and perhaps Spooky Myers on Leris.

Can you win with other killers? Sure, but it is not consistent.

You cannot play a fair game of DBD when the rules are different each match.

  • @tt_ivi_99 said:

Solo players would be stronger if things like Kindred or Bond were free perks and It wouldnt really benefit SWF since they already "have" those perks thanks to voice chat.

As a SWF player I know this wont solve the problem tho. SWF players are strong because they are a team full of people that knows every single trick in the game. I've never played with someone that goes down in the first 10 seconds of a chase tbh.

If devs really want to close the gap between SWF and Solos, Rank System should be based on hours played. If you are bad at the game after 1000h it's your fault and not because you just started playing the game... Veterans would be teamming up with veterans to face veterans and new people would be teamming up with new people to face new people.

This would also lead to killer buffs because they would need the tools to combat this veterans.

How would you balance in your hour based ranked when a swf group wants to play with a friend who is new to the game. So you get a veteran and a newbie in the same group.

Would you balance it around the Veteran and risk the newbie would get stomped if found first and this crushing defeat turns him off to play dbd entirely.

Would you balance it around the newbie so the killer would get looped by the veteran and have an incentive to quit dbd.

Right now we have something in between. The killer roflstomps the newbie but gets looped by the veteran. No one is really happy.

Also there are only that much veterans in every given time and facing the same players over and over again can be unfun and boring too.

  • Maybe more people are playing killer now, because we got a new killer to level up?

  • Franklin's plus my girl is the hag! You trap the item and boom bait!

  • Wasn't the perk not in the last shrine?

You could get it for shards, without paying money or leveling the survivor.

  • I don't mean hatch standoffs, that a beast on its own.

I am talking about a survivor doing nothing but camping around the hatch, waiting for all his other survivors either to die or finish all gens and open the gates.

    Contributing nothing to the game.

  • Most survivors DC's on me when I catching them off guard, (grab from a chest, gen or window after a ds) I play certain killers, they accidentally get pallet blocked by a survivor who panicked or just because they always tend straight to walk into me after their unhook.

Almost 1 DC or suicide on hook every game since the new patch came.

  • You are aware that the killer is the host?

    You connect to them.

    Your connection is faulty.

Yes there may be players with general connection issue and package loss but you are playing on the killers machine.

  • It's just like an extra DH.

It activates after 3 hits (usually one hook) and reveals your aura if you heal fully afterwards.

    No Mither troll build?

Immortal DH? One hit, DH, MoM, Second hit. Everyone gets the Legion flashback.

  • Against the Plague:

Don't use fountains and deny half of her power.

Try to avoid her puke by running around objects and corners, break line of sight.

m1 killer with delayed No Mither without the upsides.

Just loop and gen rush her. The moment she gets the corrupted viel you break line of sight.

  • I like the idea.

I would use this perk in fun builds and for rp reasons!

Would love to see more cool and thematic perks that are telling a story.

(Devour Hope, Rancor, Dying Light ect)

  • My personal biggest issue within the game is no time pressure for the survivors.

It would be cool if there is a time objectiv to get the gens done, like 10 min or so.

This would not only solve stalling and hostage taking but also put some healthy pressure on the survivors and enable more killer strategies.

Right now you can pull of a fantastic 3 gen strat with 2-3 survivors left but you cannot leave the gens, otherwise you lose the game and there is nothing to force survivors to do gens in a certain time. So the game can be stalled indefinitely. That's no fun.

Same goes for the hatch, only the other way around.

By restricting the match time the devs can tweak the timers to get a desirable match lenght.

Right now we all agree, 3 min is unfun so is 20+ min.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

If you have Class Photo then someone getting Adren in your face is actually kind of a good thing. But yes it's a bit dumb. I play Rancor on Freddy to and when I do this I just hold sleep on them expecting Adren.

Is there a tooltip for future Freddy players that lists all the things that can snap you out from Dreamstate?

As far as I am aware there is failed skill checks, wakeup performed by an other survivor and being hooked. New Adrenaline.

Is there anything else that can cancel Dreamstate?

And why can survivors leave the trial in Dreamstate but not with a RBT?

You are still in his realm and you should not be able to simply walk out?

  • What killer benefits more from fog and shroud than a survivor would?

Hag and trapper to cover the traps perhaps? Piggy?

And shrouds benefits solely the survivors. They either start all together and kill one gen really fast or they start separate and have the perfect setup for genrush. Maybe Discordance could synergies with the first shroud, but you still almost certainly lose the first gen fast.

Maybe I understand them wrong and would love to learn.

  • Well about gen rushing.

Our amazing devs gave us some options.

The new Surveillance combined with Pop goes the Weasel or Overcharge, even on it's own is strong.

NOED is also great, it adds a secondary objective into the game. All they have to do is implement some sort of clue that a dull totem got cleansed, similar to the thunder of a lit totem. Maybe the cracking of a branch?

So solos can keep track of the totems and it is still some skill and finesse involved. (But overall it's not your problem)

    Work on your own strategy.

Take a killer, with whom you can end a chase fast or surprise a survivor.

Other killer, whom interduces other objectives like RBT, Madness or the new Fountains can help you too.

Killers with a good map presence/control are helping too.

    Hag, Spirit, Billy, Nurse.

All killers can be played to get a win. Some are just a bit more difficult.

If everything fails and no matter the killer or your strategy, take advantage of the gen rush and go for a lategame build with Remember Me, Rancor, NOED and something you suck at. Like BBQ to locate survivors, Blood Warden is you want to go full cheese. Tracker Perk of your gusto. Fire Up also can help.

Often the gen timer isn't the problem. It's something you do that could be improved.

    Are you good at tracking?

Can you end a chase/loop quick?

Do you know what survivor you should go after?

Can you influence the gens and the map, so that you have 3 gens near each other in the end? Combined with Surveillance these 3 gens are hard to crack.

Take one survivor out of play ASAP! One less tips the favor of the game in your direction. That could be, killing, hooking, slugging, Mori. Whatever it takes.

Have fun in the fog and happy killing!

  • Slugging...ever heard of Unbreakable, No Mither or Tenacity?

Do you even play as killer? Tried out Billy to learn and understand how he works and what the limits of the killer is?

You can talk about BHVR as much as you want, but all their killers have exploitable weaknesses. Some more, some less and some need some skill.

Slugging is great because you basically take one survivor out of the game. Hooking is a waste of time, especially if you get genrushed.

So yes, to some extent slugging and tunneling one down are the best way to counter genrushing.

No heal meta only empower such tactics, even strengthen NOED, because, no one takes the time to cleanse totems.

Try at least to learn, understand and adapt.

If you can show, that you did everything possible and the killer is still op, then you need to make a thread, so we can help you solve this error.

20sec only on obsesion and that can happen one on every 30sec

Yes I know. How do you usually play?

    Chainsaw or blinking?

She can hit a survivor over most loops by poking on them. Afterwards there is a single hit that you need connect.

If you get her upgrade you can down potentially multiple survivors over obstacles.

  • I think you are playing her wrong.

Try to spread the infection and even if they go away, but refuse to heal, they get injured status.

All you have to do now is sneak up on them.

M&A, her very own perk that let her swap Terrorradius. Play sneaky and you get a scary one hit.

Combine it with Surveillance and you can pretty much control the entire map. Kick and vomit on the gens. Surprise hit the survivors. If the loop you just vomit on them and look for an easier Target or come back for a surprise one-shot.

    Be a bit creative!

  • We all know, nurse is the most op killer.

After one blink, yes ONE, you get a DC at least.

No killer can get rid of a survivor faster.

Poor survivors... crying for op nurse but never actually want to face her and learn to play against her.

  • I don't want to be slugged...but I also don't want to use Unbreakable, No Mither, Tenacity ect.

Or don't get down in the first place, DH, SB, UE, BL, Lithe pick your poison.

  • I don't worry that much. Have faith in the devs.

I think they knew what kind of killer the plague would be, the PTB will help to tweak her numbers and effects.

In my eyes the devs come a long way since Freddy and with more confident in themselves and their product they will let the plague be the plague and let us time to figure out, what works, what doesn't.

What are her counter and so on.

You can tell what you want about the devs and the killers, even the most op killers have clear weaknesses and play around.

As an older gamer I am used to play against a challenge, take my time to figure out how things work and overcome them. I really love, that the devs don't dumbed down the game and make it too easy for both parties.

    Really great job!

  • So the conses is, I cannot cleanse 5 totems on my own, but if every survivor cleanse at least 1 totem, there is only one left, with an other Hex perk like Ruin, none.

So the real problem lies not within the perk, but that survivors in general don't cleanse totems, and those who would like to, are unable to cleanse all 5 of them.

So NOED punishes to group and a solo has a hard time to cleanse all totems.

Why can't the survivors in the pregame chat not communicate, let's all cleanse totems, I take Small Game and Detective's Hunch with a map. Who likes to be the looper? Who is the gen-jokey? Let's only save each other when we can do a safe unhook if you are unsure wait for the killer be in a chase. We use the chase time so one of us is doing a gen, one is looking for totems, one is the chased one and one plays libero and helps either cleansing totems, doing gens or flashlight saving/body blocking for the looper? Are we all good? Yes? Let's go and win this!

That's how I play the game and usually we all have fun. Not SWF btw. Just use the given mechanic.

Yes some want to play ego and tell you to f yourself but hey, they die in the end. Not my problem. They never will improve with this attitude. Poor guy.

  • I would campaign for a hatch race mechanic.

I agree with the OP that if gates are open there should be no hatch, that makes no sense to me.

Otherwise I would love to see all Auras revealed, killer, last survivor and hatch, survivor get exposed status but the killer can no longer grab the survivor off the hatch.

Now we have a fast and exciting race for the hatch. If the survivor reaches the hatch before the killer he wins. He can take the hatch even in dying state.

Before the survivors cry unfair for the free NOED, you see the killer as well and the hatch, you only need to reach the hatch. You still can use DS, DH, SB whatever you like. The killer still have to hook you or burn a Mori and hooked you to kill you (Rancor and fully stacked Devour Hope are the exception).

With this change we get an exiting endgame and no longer the drawn out stalemate and hatch standoff.

  • To me NOED is always a gamble. Often the game ends and the gens aren't done or there is a hatch stalemate. If I want to use it, I often have to allow the survivors to finish all gens and have my fun with remember me. And sometimes I am happy to smack some sassy survivors. But 1/3 cases NOED goes of and if you have done your job there are at max 3 survivors left.

Just don't play like a potato and cleanse some totems and you should be good to go.

  • You are treating a symptom and not the issue.

More viable killers and playstyles would result in a more diverse roster at the top ranks, the game at all is more fun and a better report, ban system against DC and dodging will put the game in a healthier state.

The later will come this summer with dedicated servers.

With own servers BHVR will be able to monitor who DC's how often and could react accordingly.

Hiding names would just add a layer of unconvince on top of the game.

  • I hope you will get a turkish translation, but my hopes for you are not that high.

Turkey as a country is usual too small for devs like BHVR and it would be to costly to translate everything and providing further support in turkish.

I really wish you all the best, but don't be angry if it is not viable.

  • Thank you. I didn't know that. you are great!

  • You see this all wrong!

Your teammates are legends! The Hag, that killer, 4k thirsty biatch, she clearly camped the hook, tunneled down you and the poor last guy. 😘

Its even stated that the entity absolutely loves hatch grabs. I don't see the entity removing something that would potentially bring it a ton of joy.

Most the time i just surrender even if the hatch is available. There's so much salt over the game in general and typical BM from both survivors and killers so I don't bother passed 15-20 seconds of looking. I'm essentially wasting time I could be in another game trying to earn more bp so i can boost the rest of my stuff.

    You don't get the point.

I don't care about the hatch or a 4k I just either be able to find the last survivor as a new perkless player or be able to ff the game. What I don't want is waiting 5-10 min for the survivor to make a move only because he don't know where the hatch is, don't want to do any gens or is waiting on the hatch, that I don't know where it is and waste time equivalent to an entire match for one survivor to have the courtesy to leave the game or simply do something beside hide.

Hatch standoff is dumb and I agree some sort of solution is needed. But the hatch isn't really there to prevent a 4 man wipe, it's there to give survivors hope and a quicker end to the match.

Imagine you're a good killer no matter which killer you play. Survivors manage to do 2,3,4 generators but you've now killed 3 of them and hatch doesn't exist.. That last survivor has two choices now.

    1. Finish the number of gens needed to power exit gate and open exit gate without being found, this is pretty difficult with just one gen left to do never mind more. You're left gen patrolling and if you're bad you can't find them, but you killed 3 already so you're probably decent. Survivor has little to no chance solo so you know what they'll end up doing? DC or they'll stealth around to troll for as long as it takes you to find them.
    2. They just surrender to the killer but that's completely against their objective anyway and why should they?

So the hatch at least will keep that survivor in game looking for it and will mean you match should end in a few minutes and not be another 30 minutes with few extra bp. THIS is why the hatch standoff is dumb. It's supposed to help the match end faster not make it last longer because neither side wants to give up.

    That's why I suggest a hatch race.

Reveal all auras, the survivor, killer and the hatch.

Survivor gets exposed, but the killer can no longer hatchgrab, so no sitting on the hatch and waiting for the other to move first.

If the survivor gets to the hatch first he wins, even in dying state. If the killer manages to cut him off and hit him, he wins (yes DS still can be used, so what, at least the match ends)

The goal is to make the endgame faster and exciting for both parties.

  • Maybe I don't have to wait too long for my type of killer.

Demise of the faithful is announced and the killer is holding a censor.

Maybe I get a burned, chain swinging priest that distorts the senses of the survivors and use the swinging noise of his censor to make himself known. A crawling mist opponent the survivors.

Engulfing in smog and disorient them until the killer shackles them, hang them up on the hook and burn them like a witch! Strangle them with it's chains and suffocating them with the smoke as Mori.

    086734bff500b2e11a05b7c7770b134a.jpg

  • Why don't we make a true fun endgame experience out of the hatch?

Auras are both revealed, also the location of the hatch.

Remove the hatch grab but add a exposed on the survivor.

If the killer hits you before you reach the hatch. You lose.

If you get to the hatch before the killer PICKS you up you win. Even if you down.

The hatchstandoff is gone. We get a hatch race. Fun. Fast. Exciting.

  • My problem is not the hatch.

    My issue is the stalemate.

I cannot find the survivor at lvl 1 because the lack of tracking perks.

I cannot quit the game without losing my progress to get tracking perks.

All I can do is either stand on the hatch or patrol the gen/map and hope to find the last survivor, only to be tbagged at the hatch, because now that he has found the hatch, the survivor don't simply leaves, but wants to tease me.

It's just overall frustrating and time wasting.

If I at least can say, ok. you win, I let you go. Don't waste my time anymore, just give me my points and I can move on. If you want to immerse yourself further into hiding and stalling the game. all power to you, but I have enough.

I don't like the hatch, no question and I won't lie. But there is not much I can do against it. But at least let me go without losing points.

I got my 3k. I am not crying for a 4k. But if you have a hatch mechanic in play that handholds and enables a lost game for a survivor to escape, let me as the killer just end the game on my terms.

It just sucks to wait until the survivor has the grace to come forth and take the hatch.

At least give me the aura of the survivor so we really have a run for the hatch and not stalling around.

  • Well trapper is the first killer to select and if you are new and have no clue or favorite you just pick the first one and if the my dailies aren't broken, the trapper is the first daily you have to do.

My fear, that he requires add-ons has come true.
The concept is nice and he is the posterboy for DBD, sadly he is not viable without add-ons.
I would love to play him more, but there are better m1 killers out there and with the genrushing meta I simply don't find the time to wander around the map and collect traps, sorry a trap.

Yeah, he's too add-on dependent. Wraith is much better than him

I agree, his invisibility is much more intuitive to use and fun to control the map, because new player have troubles to see his shimmer.
I also like how his add-ons enables you to play differently.
Be fast with windstorm or use all-seeing and there is no more hiding ect.

With trapper I feel forced to use add-ons only to be able to play him conveniently.
Maybe I am just spoiled with the Hag and her 10 traps, but I really like the fantasy to outsmart the survivors by planning ahead and cutting their escape path off. Unfortunately in this fast paste game-meta this is no longer viable.

I would love to use the trappers trap more offensively instead of solely camping the basement or some specific choke point.
    3-5 Traps would feels amazing!
And maybe some faster pick up or rearming traps on the ground.

Right now, if you already have a trap on you and you would like to rearm one other, you have to put your trap down, pick the trap, that you would like to rearm, up, place the trap at the exact same point, go back to your initial trap and pick it up again.

That are 4 animations! 2s per animation you already used 8s solely to rearm a trap!

  • Instead of the heartbeat, there could be the thin bells or a small terrorradius. Myers in stage 1 combined with M&A has a 0 terrorradius or spirit with prayer needs. So the concept wouldn't be that new and with the bells you get an audible indicator.
The whole spiel of this killer would be, using your ears. It would indirectly also buff some unusual perks like Spine Chill ect. So if you have trouble with hearing there are existing ingame assistance.

The appeal to me is the tense moment, even in with groups with voice. (In the pregame chat all can be invited to some sorts of voice if they like. Not only SWFs. I understand that's the main reason why the devs are okay with voice and it is not a SWF only issue)
Just imagine to have to tell your friends to be quiet. I think I heard something, only to be nothing or jumpscared/surprised!

During chases there can be the normal music, a unique killer music or simply silence, only the bells chasing you, the breath and grunts of your survivor and the scenery of the beautiful map.

  • Would not an audio clue for dull totems serve as the same mechanical solution without a braindead counter? When a Hex breaks the entire map can hear the thunder. What if the dull totems would get a distinctively different sound effect? Like a loud branch cracking.
It still requires some skill and brainpower to remember how many things broke throughout the game.
