RPD is great for me. I hope the rework keeps the charm of the original RE2 remake.
-
Probably that solo queue info they've been talking about. Probably won't see it until after the next anniversary though.
-
But for real though they seriously need to tweak it a bit. I would not want it taken out of the game.
-
Maybe the artist felt rushed making the post ptb version and feels the need to refine it?
-
This is why I always play Scratched Mirror when I'm looking for a fun time. It's so much more rewarding to know that I scared someone than if I 4k.

I think it was just letting you browse the store/archives while qued up in a SWF lobby
That's basically it
Darn I was really looking forward to that...

What even is a gameflow improvement?

If it was Ace, was it truly luck? I mean, he literally has a perk that helps him do that. Hatch not withstanding, but honestly? Those always spawn right by survivors in my experience. Which is fine by me, because if I want them all dead for a challenge, I slug. Otherwise they can have it.
As far as I know he didn't have any perks for it. My match went from a guaranteed 3k to a 2k in a matter of seconds. I was a little salty but also impressed at the same time.
@Pulsar said:
Back in early 2018, I had a Hatch spawn outside of the map on Grim Pantry against a Blendette.
Found her after 3 hours or something, it was a long time ago and I was a new player.
That sounds terrible.

Can already hear in the distance a series of angry blinks and an increasing default terror radius
I can already see the nurse PFPs.
-
Anything I'm tired of seeing and makes me mad in that moment.
-
Here are some builds that I've experimented with so far.
Metal of Man, WGLF, BT, DH
BT, Guardian, We'll Make It, SB
Built To Last, Counterforce, Overzealous, Deja Vu, Commodious Toolbox
Bite The Bullet, Overcome, Lucky Break, Built To Last, Med Kit
Built To Last, Desperate measures, Botany, Lithe, Med Kit
This has nothing to do with the update but I really love running Sprint Burst, Urban Evasion, Self-Aware and Vigil.
-
Bubba and Billy but that's just my take.
-
Every time. I get really nervous because I know they could attack at any moment. Usually they have rancor or something.
-
It's great. Really shows how much of a stranglehold DH had on the game.
-
I've had some very questionable teammates in a few of my matches. I had a David DC becuase I didn't heal him under hook when I knew the killer would be coming back. I think a lot of players aren't really trying right now.
Then again if they weren't competent against a sweaty nurse before then there's no chance they can handle her now.
-
I ran into her once in my 6-7 games. It's somewhat nice to see her show up again.
-
Seems pretty good to me so far. The killers I've gone up against aren't really tunneling or camping. It's usually the survivors twisting the killers arm in that situation. I've only had one sweaty killer out of 6-7 survivor matches which is far fewer than how it usually goes.
-
I haven't played much yet but I did buy the Cenobite dlc and it makes me very happy to see all of those perks on him.

I won't miss players hitting the undo button when they screw up.

this game looks so cute.
ive checked the eshop & whats the difference between afterbirth & repentance?

im sorry to inform but im not a legend of Zelda fan ;(
Then buy Crypt of the Necrodancer. Cadence of Hyrule is a colab title. It's basically Necrodancer 2.
-
So many games out there now and all I can think to recommend is Cadence of Hyrule. Every run is randomly generated and the dlc is necessary if you want the complete experience.
-
They're toying with us
-
I'd finally be free so pretty much anything else.
-
It's fun.
It's also fun to hit on hook for no reason.
-
One of the few benefits to having a very small family.
-
I was just thinking about this last night. The recent changes make me think that they will get to it eventually.
It would really suck if they went the lazy route and called the exploit a feature.

I was excited for the prestige/grind rework but since they added a toll to prestiging and you're forced to prestige so no avoiding it I'm not so thrilled about it anymore.
I was really looking forward to it as well, but then they mentioned that our item rarity will decrease along with the blood web reset. Even if we're saving bp we'll be spending it on worse items and add-ons.
-
Just about all of it.
-No "get out of jail free" dead hard or DS
-Stealth killers will be way more fun to play
-Lethal pursuer isn't useless after 7 seconds
-goodbye ruin carry matches in solo queue
-Corrupt offers the value needed and nothing more
-Lucky break is even more worthwhile
-Bite the bullet is now worth using
-Fire up is even better
-No more Plagues or Pyramids getting cheesy double downs at hook
-Guardian/babysitter is much more worthwhile
-Basement is even stronger
-Noed can't carry bad killers if placed in a secret spot
-Botany is a HUGE buff to my healing builds
-Deja Vu is a perk that I might start using again for my gen repair builds
-
Bite The Bullet
Lucky Break
Overcome
Built to Last + Med-kit
Maybe I'll experiment with Distortion and Object too.
-
My teammate's boon totem has more than 4 effects...

I noticed an increased number of other Exhaustion Perks other than DH. I appreciate Survivors going Balanced Landing , Lithe and Sprint Burst. These exhaustions perks unfazed me as I'm as I'm Billy and Blight Main.
But I still encounter the Players who are still bringing Dead Hard. I always type "GG" on post game chats then type "GG = Git Gud without Dead Hard" as I have pure hatred to the Perk.
So yea... You! if you are still bringing Dead Hard into games. Why? Git Gud without Dead Hard.
Watching survivors whiff their dead hard on ptb has been therapeutic to say the least.

I don't try either and most of the time the team still pulls it off.
If the killer comes to me and the unhooked person than i will always be the bait and give him a run for his money.
It's not like i let the unhooked person to die.
Tbh being injured doesn't mean it will hinder the team, i played so many matches with no mither and most of the time i even escaped.
And the killer will most of the time go out of their way to go for the no mither person.
Just be sure you know how to loop and how to read and combine as many tiles as possible.
As long as you're being a team player that's all I care about in my game.

@Zen_but_not_Zen said:
So they did it only as your got close for save? I thought maybe they were throwing the game as they wanted out, I've had a weird few games with people doing it on first hook recently, but if it was as you arrived, that's just silly :/
I made this post after having two people try to 4% right before I unhooked them in the same game. Both times I was working on a gen that we desperately needed. I don't like making complaint threads like this but I was really at my wits end during my losing streak. Idk if it's bad luck or what but this happens every other game now.
@Dennis_van_eijk said:
Back when i still played there was a spike in how much this happened, so i set some rules for me with that.
If I'm close and they try to kobe in my face than i wait till they go to stage 2 and then unhook them.
Do they stop trying when I'm close i will unhook them.
If they kobe right in my face then i turn around and go work on a gen, they don't have to expect me healing them.
They don't enjoy it when they kobe and won't get healed, the same as i didn't like coming from across the map to unhook only to find them kobe in my face
I try not to be spiteful because it further hinders the team. Although I did refuse to heal a Claudette the other day... mostly because we were facing Legion (she let me die on first hook),
@GentlemanFridge said:
Am I the only one who really doesn’t care about this?
Normally it isn't a big deal. The issue is that it's happening every other game for me. On top of a bad losing streak I have to deal with randoms refusing me points and taking me away from the objective which in turn increases the likelihood that we lose.
@Laurie268 said:
Even though unhooking yourself when someone came from the other side of the map is a dick move, you still hurt yourself too if you let them hit second.
This is a team game, you can’t win without the help of your teammates. If the killer decides to tunnel out that survivor for a early 3v1 it’s gg
I try my best not to let them hit second. That's why I ran across the map in the first place. Some of them go for the kobe when it's a guaranteed second hook state.
@JaviiMii said:
Tbf, seeing that someone will make it in time for the unhook even if you do take one 4% chance is just funny for the most part. - Like, the chance is so low and you're safe either way that you might as well try. In the vast majority of cases you will not unhook yourself. On the rare occasion you do it's worth a chuckle. Sure, if I am the one running to get the unhook I also go "Bruh! mY pOinTs!!" - but I still have a laugh.
As I mentioned it normally isn't a big deal. It's just that every other game during a losing streak tilted me enough to complain on the forums.
-
Cheryl, Jill, Leon, Quinton, Laurie, Bill, and the other RE character(s) when they release.
I have all but 4 perks so I'm just prestiging for the bloody cosmetics.
-
Whoever has Windows of Opportunity.
That is a must have perk for anyone starting the game. If I had that perk unlocked when I first started I would have a have learned all of the map layouts and tiles MUCH faster. This perk has the additional benefit of instilling confidence within the survivor as well. No matter where you go you'll already have as escape route planned.
-
Healing is easier and faster now than it ever has been thanks to CoH. Seems like the devs are acknowledging this and encouraging survivors to dedicate their builds to faster healing.
I'm still looking forward to this change. I love running healing builds and the medkit efficiency hardly puts a scratch on any of them thanks to Built To Last. 50% healing speed increase is going to be HUGE.

20k is at least 1 game. 1 game that you have to play, just to earn the blood points in order to pay the prestige-tax/penalty. That's not even considering earning the blood points to progress through the blood web.
The 50k were unnecessary, and the 20k are still unnecessary. Prestige is not optional anymore, so there shouldn't be a prestige-tax/penalty. BHVR introduced the prestige tiers to get people to prestige their favorite characters. Why are people that prestige a char penalized for doing so? You have to prestige to open a new blood web, and as such, you're also forced to pay the prestige tax. That penalty is forced on you. Imagine that.
What a weird idea that penalty is. Reducing the grind by doing some things + introducing an arbitrary tax/penalty that requires grind. This just feels so out of place. I can't even comprehend the thought process behind it.
Those 20k will do nothing but anger people and are an inconvenience (something you don't want to have in a game, like: unstable lobbies, not being able to access the ingame shop and/or rift while being in a lobby, etc.). They should remove inconveniences from the game, not deliberately add them.
I understand the frustration. I also prefer a system without the bp tax. It's just that I find 20k to be very manageable.
If we're going to live forever still had its stacks I'd say that getting 20k would be comparable to a tome challenge. Without those stacks it's just a slight hindrance.

Maybe they wanted it at 20k all along and they put it high so when they “fixed” it people would accept it. I don’t, it ridiculous and needs to go, there should be no required BP to prestige.
Also 20k is an average survivor game.
"20k is an average survivor game"
You mean I'm supposed to be getting more than 9k every match?
-
I was bummed about botany knowledge too but I think the change is warranted. They're encouraging us to get more creative with our healing builds while giving killers a less stressful experience. I'm really looking forward to seeing how all of this plays out.
-
When it was 50k I was worried.
20k is nothing imo.

Try to 2-hook everyone. They'll most likely escape or you can subtly throw towards the end to make sure they do. They may not even notice that you're throwing and still call you a sweaty ######### at the end. Plus everyone still gets high scores.
If you want them to escape... why the hell are you running NOED? You're basically guaranteeing at least a 1k.
As I mentioned earlier, I want to give a legitimate experience to the people I'm facing. I prefer to lose but I don't want to outright throw.

DUDE I JUST HAD SOMEONE LEGIT RAGE QUIT

LMAO, I had the same thing happen to me a while back. It's almost like it's reverse psychology - you wanna derank, survivors/killers will do everything in their power to make sure you win. Funny to think about.
It does seem that way. Survivors begin to BEG for the chest once they realize you're guarding it.
(for anyone wondering I'm playing as Nemesis with coup de grace, noed, the pallet breaking perk from the dredge, and insidious).
