Jill breaks totems faster than Mikaela can throw the game.
First her totems then her legs.
-
So should windows and coh, but bhvr will never do that.

I'd be very surprised if it got you past the last 5% without UB/SG/NM.
I imagine killers would be running forced penance and that new Wesker perk in order to counter it if it does go past the 5%.

Reactive Healing doesn't have a cooldown do that could actually be good. I wonder if it works while slugged
New meta perk if it lets you pick yourself up.

When I first bought the game (silent hill chapter) I bought all licenses that were on sale (over time). When it comes to original content I only pay with in game currency. So far I have always had enough for the latest original chapter. Oh yeah and if it's a new licensed chapter I'll gladly pay day one.
-
I have stockpiled plenty on both sides. I always use them on killer, but I'm very hesitant to use them on survivor atm.
-
It should stay. I like not having plague and Pyramid insta down me when I'm farmed.

I am happy for that more people are gonna play Rebecca. She is so cute and i am glad finally more people will know about her.
She was one of my favorite things in Resident Evil one. I love side characters who stand on their own and really help you out.
-
Day one buy for me. I'll have to play the ptb to see just how well the perks synergize with others, but the characters are more than enough to justify my purchase.
Rebecca is my most anticipated addition. I can finally stop using my Silent Hill characters for my healing builds.
-
It's well understood that it was largely ignored around that time period.

When was the horror genre EVER not popular?
The horror genre has been a staple of the video game industry since forever. It's never needed a revivial.
Where the hell were you back in 2014? Are you old enough to play this game?
Next you'll tell me that turn based rpgs and fighting games were always as abundant as they are now.
-
It's a real mixed bag. I came back after a break and my first session was dissatisfying. The second session was decent, but today's was by far the worst.
-sweaty nurse sends us to Silent Hill with slow downs and aura perks
-Nurse again followed by dc at first down
-An "okay" Pinhead who gets a dc on first down
I stopped after that. This game is unplayable at its worst right now.
-
No matter how you look at it everything is stacked against solo queue players. Even 3 man swf is a threat to them.
-
I've seen a few and I've used some here and there. Thing is I've mostly been playing survivor and it hurts to get tunneled and camped with 8k bp max while the killer gets a guaranteed 30+.

Thoughts?
That it was catastrophic for the indie horror genre.
It spawned SO many sequels, spin-off games, and trends of developers trying to copy its success that the market was oversatured with low quality knock-off games for years.
The first game had an interesting premise and okay gameplay but as time went on they marketed the series too heavily to children and leaned into a more colourful, kid-friendly aesthetic which meant the franchise lost its charm.
"catastrophic"
It single handedly revived the horror genre.
-
Whatever works best with the build that I'm using. Behavior saw an issue with people prioritizing the free BP over the aura reading and fixed it. My builds are stronger than ever now.
-
Idk if I'd say it's all just recycled. There are some similarities here and there but for each similarity there is something to set them apart. I feel like the real issue lies in the variety and power that their add-ons offer.
-
He's always in rotation but it's also most likely hype. I'm sure that a lot of people who quit playing DBD shortly after the RE chapter are coming back.
-
I escaped 1 out of 6 matches I played last night (not counting the farming ghost face).
-
Artist and Plague. Maybe Ghost Face when I get insta exposed mid chase.

No, it is the killer's fault my teammates are bad.
I actually asked one of them why he was blaming me for his teammates mistakes and he just said the Leon, his friend, was new and asked me if my home life is going okay or if my father left "again." Like, again? What kind of fantasy scenario is this?
Hypothetically daddy left, I was devastated. Mentally broken. But then he came back one day. My happiness restored, I eleven hook and give hatch to the last remaining survivor until that fateful day... He left again. And to retaliate... I tunneled him in DBD? These people should write Hollywood movies, bro.
You're like the Deathslinger but everyone is your dad instead.
-
I played 6 solo queue games after a 2 week break and I'm still having a hard time enjoying myself.
Game 1: Dread played casually on Autohaven but my teammates dropped like flies. No enjoyment whatsoever.
Game 2: Casual Huntress on Cow Shed. I had one single fun chase before I traded a basement hook and my teammates let me die. The worst player taunted the killer in post game after she got the 4k (epic blood warden karma)
Game 3: Trapper once again playing casually and on Azeroth's resting place. Claudette and Meg are the reason we lost. I took heat off of Meg and instead of saving Dwight she goes to self care in a corner.
Game 4: Farming Ghost Face. He just wanted to get his tome. At least I got mine done too.
Game 5: Camping Oni on Memorial Institute. I was running an unhooking build and he just happened to take me out of the game first.
Game 6: Casual Huntress on Dead Dog. The killer was really bad so the incompetence of my teammates didn't really matter. No offense to the killer. Also Quentin wouldn't drop the flash bang when I told him to and I'm so tired of that happening.
I've been having good fun playing other games that aren't DBD recently. IDK if Resident Evil can really bring me back at this rate. My teams are just too awful.

I played this game about two weeks before the update and two weeks after the update.
Sorry but I seriously doubt you'll be getting refunded then.
-
If you bought it on steam you can refund as long as you've played less than 1 hour.

You don't see an issue with BHVR deliberately directing the hackers to target streamers who are not Fog Whisperers, by their decison that only Fog Whisperers cannot be held hostage - other streamers, big and small still have to choose between being held hostage and DC penalties? You realise there are streamers not in the Fog Whisperer programme, who have audiences larger than Fog Whisperers?
You realize you're jumping to conclusions?
-
People watch fog whisperers. I see no issue here.
-
Recently Quentin has become my fun time character.
Michael and Nem are about 50/50.

@Cybil It's interesting that you mention add-ons based on the killer's perks. When I was coming up with these ideas, I was looking through a lot of the add-on passes they've done as well as add-ons for recent killers. I was looking for patterns and types of add-ons that BHVR tends to incorporate. One of those patterns was add-ons based on that killers perks. So I did just that:
Pink 1 makes you Undetectable on command like Trail of Torment.
Green 4 makes survivors Broken like Forced Penance.
Green 6 punishes survivors for healing (if they're tormented) and Purple 2 inflicts Oblivious.
I aimed to hit the core elements of all 3 of Pyramid Head's perks in my add-ons, and I think I did just that.
I like them more than what we have at the moment.
-
In terms of suffering endured AFTER being abducted Quentin is at the top of the list. Based on his campfire animation he isn't entirely sure of what's going on in his sleep deprived state. He nods off and then quickly wakes up before checking his surroundings. He obviously can't tell if he's still vulnerable to Freddy in his sleep.
Based on the journal entry written about him Quentin is more focused and driven than the survivors added before him. He's running on pure adrenaline at this point.
(This is easy mode for the Silent Hill and Resident Evil protags).
-
I think that NOED should be able to replace Boon totems or even merge with them for a secondary effect.
That secondary effect possibly being able to mori the person who owns the boon.
-
BHVR tried to stay faithful to the handful of Pyramid Head encounters in SH2. Basically he pops up in totally unexpected areas to terrify you for a short time. Of course this is only really shown through Trail of Torment, the Obsidian Goblet, and the Lost Memories Book. The execution with his add-ons are underwhelming to say the least and his breathing is a dead giveaway when it comes to camping a gen. I think I would prefer it if his add-ons revolved around tracking survivors and keeping them oblivious. Kind of like Nemesis.
Also I'd prefer it if they incorporated his perks into his add-ons like they did for some of the other killers.

How about... in custom only?
Terrible. I want it in the real game.
-
Yeah, I'm taking a break from the game atm. Nothing to do with the update though. I'm just burnt out.
-
Thank goodness they nerfed MoM to make up for this.
-
PLEASE keep the entire map as a variation!

I mean you can at least buy ace with shards, it's not like you have to pay 500 auric cells just for a perk.
yeah but those shards are better spent on new unlicensed characters.

@geni said:
I NEED IT, its the only perk left to unlock from ace (i don't have the character), maybe thats why it doesn't appear
I feel you. Open Handed and Poised are the only survivor perks I have left to unlock. Open Handed is the only one I actually want though. I passed on Poised maybe twice now.

And thats with our lucky boi Ace ... seems like a stroke of bad luck.
But honestly, I use Open Handed in so many of my builds. Bond+Kindred+Open Handed is like using sanctionised wallhacks. With anyone hooked you can see the killer through walls pretty much on half the map without them knowing, turning any "mind game" into a Benny Hill sketch.
So many survivors falsly claim that SWF get all this info without burning a perk slot, but this survivors totally sleep on the fact that "knowing" or "hearing something being scribed" (I am entering shack now from the left side) is way inferior then actually SEEING it. I even use this build when SWFs, its just that good.
I'm dying for this perk atm and your post only strengthened my desire.

@brokedownpalace said:
Isn't it random, other than perks that are added because they're required for a tome challenge?
I like the perk but it could use a secondary effect of some kind. Can't justify equipping it in this meta. I used to love running Kindred and Bond with it.
If it truly is random then Open Handed has the worst luck out of all the perks.
-
It's so dumb that hackers actually think it's a good idea to set their prestige to 100. Bhvr is obviously going to flag their account and take it down in the next ban wave.
-
I hope they put the older skins on sale when the update arrives.
-
Do you dedicate any playstyle to certain characters? I know it's way more difficult to grab the items you want with the current bloodwebs but maybe you could grind certain items for your favorite characters? Maybe get a high prestige level for your favs?
-
Well... there's always saving your bp for the next chapter.
-
Merciless storm may be a decent counter, especially if you use it with discordance on Nemesis. I believe the skill checks activate for everyone participating in gen repairs so you're 2x/3x/4x more likely to get value. The discordance will alert any nearby zombies.
-
If I go up against a certain killer too often I'll start to dislike them. That's really all there is to it.
The only exception would be Nemesis.
-
Resident Evil is right around the corner, of course it isn't dying anytime soon.
-
Adding that I had 3 survivors kobe in one match without any luck offerings or perks to effect their chances.
-
Pharmacy was a perk that I mostly used for the novelty. I loved the idea of being handed a good item once in a match (if I could even find a locked chest). With how the perk works now it's counterintuitive and even less worthwhile when compared to other healing perks and built to last.
I have to agree that the devs did not adequately test this one. Maybe it sounded good on paper or something.
-
I will never leave.
-
I guess my games are about 50/50, maybe 40/60 (good to bad).
Unfortunately I think I've hit burnout again and I'm not having fun even if I win.
-
A character that would let you cycle through different killer abilities that are already in the game. This could be done through some kind of dredge like creature.
I'd rather it be done through the special infect from L4D though.
