Seeking Refund due to update.

Carnivorone

I do not like the latest update so I would like a refund on what I have spent on the game.

I did not sign up to spend an entire minute and a half staring at a progression bar on a generator

Cybil

If you bought it on steam you can refund as long as you've played less than 1 hour.

I played this game about two weeks before the update and two weeks after the update.

Unfornately DBD is a live service game so BHVR is free to change their game as they please without needing to provide you a refund.

Do you know where this is written down? Is it in terms of service?

I played this game about two weeks before the update and two weeks after the update.

Sorry but I seriously doubt you'll be getting refunded then.

It's actually two hours and you bought the game within 14 days

What can I request a refund for?

Valve will, upon request via help.steampowered.com, issue a refund for any title that is requested within 14 days of purchase and has been played for less than 2 hours (this includes online, offline and shared library playtime). Even if you fall outside of the refund rules we've described, you can submit a request and we'll take a look at it.

I don't play on Steam, I play on Xbox

I want to understand the rules that say if they go ahead and change the game to make it intolerable to play, I am still not entitled to a refund.

I'm truly am sorry you are seeking a refund as the game is no longer something you feel you can play, and feedback is noted as to the reason for this request.

As noted above, yes, refunds are given through the platform they are played on. For Xbox, that policy is located here: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/subscriptions-billing/buy-games-apps/refund-orders

When players accept the EULA, they accept all the changes that can be applied to the game, as stated here: https://deadbydaylight.com/eula

As stated here by others, and previously by Peanits in another thread:
