Stop paying attention to gens and focus on getting downs and hooks. There are some games you cannot win. That is OK. You can still earn BP and if the survivors want to just do gens and leave that means you get to the next match faster.
I don't use gen slowdown and still win most of my games. Maybe focus on healing interruption? Healing slowdown is much more precious to the survivors. If you can interrupt healing you cut down the chase times and keep the hooks coming.
-
Give killers a perk or add-on to see their red light so they can mind game tiles more effectively.

i don't know but his remnant "anti" loop power feels a bit weak. when i teleport to it, it always get disoriented and the survivor is out of my way. any tips on how to place it the best way
Face the direction you intend to force the survivor to and then just follow the survivor until they are close to the remnant. Survivors are evolving so there is a mind game there. Sometimes it is better not to use the power. Test them by holding the power and seeing if they try to double back anticipating you going to a locker or teleporting to the remnant. You can then just release the power and they are out of position. There is also an add-on that changes the way the remnant facing works.

I have had Dredge games where I have only had 2 hooks but they are rare. Some players are really amazing and pull off escapes by a hair and if they have support from their team taking hits etc they can avoid death. I think most killers in the cast would struggle against 4 great players all on one team. It is a learning experience and I keep in mind cheating is still a thing... so I just do my best.
I still have fun with Dredge even if some or all escape. His M1 feels good and his mobility and power feel like they have an impact.
-
Dredge has one of the most satisfying basic attacks after Nemesis.
-
One tip I will give you is healing during nightfall is usually a bad idea. Especially if it is my Nurses Calling Sloppy Dredge.

yo,
A prime example of how fast the gens are flying at the moment. I'm curious when all the Genslowdown perks are nerfed, what it will be like then. Genrush Meta Inc (coming soon with the Perkreworks)
Oh, and as if SWF with higher MMR wasn't punishment enough, they also make fun of the killer..... This is so much fun
Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep (reduce) their MMR to a minimum?
I want to have fun playing again, the rest is too frustrating as a killer.
I would just play normally and not worry about MMR or pips or any of that jazz. Play the game because you enjoy it and learn to accept losing more gracefully. Even in matches where I "lose" I do my best and keep doing things that generate blood points. There is way too much RNG in this game to take wins or defeats seriously.
One side always has a disadvantage that can only be mitigated by their decisions in-game, the perks they brought, and the decisions of the other players. If you just won every match easily it would be very boring.

Also once all twelve are collected will the invitations keep showing up in game for you? Can you still get points for collecting it if it does?
Yes, it is still good for points.

I could but doing a killer build with that and exhaustion perks like blood echo just to counter 1 perk is ridiculous
Unrelenting counters good jukers who don't have dead hard too. It also allows you to bait hook and window grabs.
Back in the day, I used it to bait hatch grabs.
-
I would suggest trying Unrelenting for a few matches. You will get value from it. It won't stop the distance use but you can get them before they can get to another safe tile or window during a chase many times.

BP means nothing to me I have everyone maxed out and you don't just auto face easier opponents especially in solo q.
I would not play this game if I was not progressing somehow. You have to admit BP and progression is everything to most players.
If you have maxed out everything you may be burned out on this game in general.

Noooo didn't you hear Patrick in the Q&A if you don't get out you lose.
No, you just face easier opponents next time. Win with BP and Win with maybe an easier match in the future.

sad part in solo q's you have to deal with random peoples mistakes.
That is pure DBD. The original concept. The randomness of the tiles, people, perks, and addons make for endless combos.
Even if you are losing as a survivor you can save and heal and do totems before dying horribly.
-
It is a mind game. How you choose to perceive "fun" is the crux of the situation. I find chasing, downing, and hooking survivors fun. If they power the generators and escape it does not matter because I did my best and earned good BP.
If you perceive the game as a hide and seek simulator instead of a murder simulator it will have less of an effect on your mental health.
Do your best win or lose, and try to learn from your mistakes.

My problem is that it makes camping insanely easy if survivors don’t have flashlights. The only counterplay to that situation is an item which should never be the case imo
The counterplay is crouching but I know what you mean. It can be rough if the player chooses to play that way.

Hag is easily a top 5 killer and if anything needs some add ons nerfed (mint rag)
I have not seen a mint rag Hag since 2017. It is a hard addon to manage and requires a different playstyle. It is very easy to teleport to the wrong trap just like with Dredge and lockers.
I use her aggressively by just trapping dead zones randomly. A team with a dedicated harasser with a flashlight can make her life difficult though.
-
I am having a good time with him using Nurses and SBFL. He is one of the best at interrupting healing.
-
Survivors looking for friendly killers make for boring games. Do your objective.

Bro, some people have a full time job and a family, they cannot play the game every day for hours and hours. And I don't know how often I have to repeat myself, as killer I am unlucky enough to not find any, and of course people are gen rushing, so there is not enough time to search. I dunno, I cannot be the only unlucky one? Whatevs, why do I give a s anymore about it, there are more important things in life.
If the masks are important to you and you have little time, play killer and throw the match if you have to find the pedestals.
Once you find it just let them leave and go next and repeat.
-
Playing killer without BBQ is actually not worth it. I am not sure why you are not running it but that should be a priority.
-
I tried it in 2016 and realized it was very tedious and required survivors who were unaware of lockers. I have been saving up the needed add-ons assuming that Mike will eventually get some quality of life changes.
I would ignore this achievement for now. Many people who have it did not earn it in a legitimate match anyway. It requires friendly or clueless survivors.
-
The cycle of revenge means we face each other in both roles. Mastering all aspects of DBD demands this.

You probably could've made more bp by forcing them out and moving to the next match.
I killed 2 and already had plenty of points except for destruction and ended the match over 34k BP. I wanted it to be over and did not want to grant them any more points. They chose to make loud noise notifications for nothing while I continued to earn BP. I know others do the same sometimes and it is a way to stay productive until the end.
Sometimes killers just want to go next and the EGC ensures there is a time limit to their nonsense.
-
I do my best to ignore the pips. They only have power over you if you pay attention to them. Just play normally and let the cards lay as they fall.
-
The game design ensures each role will experience matches that are unfair due to RNG. They want this frustration as it drives our obsession.
-
It is a mind game. Do not let it break yours. Take a break and enjoy your life.
-
I use the shock ability sparingly to catch them off guard and keep my speed up during the chases. Too many shocks and you are extending the chase too long.
I lean into his strength and have been buffing his chase potential for faster downs. Brutal, Enduring, and Unrelenting is a fun combo for me and usually results in big blood points even if a few escape. Pulling off a 4k without heal or gen slowdowns is also pretty satisfying.

I've definitely been booted the title screen, but that was always after my internet died, or when steam maintenance hit. Maybe either of those happened by pure coincidence? It could very well be possible that they sent you back to the menu screen, but without any other context that's hard to judge.
I wish it was so simple but it was clearly a cheater who got angry about getting hooked.
The real problem here is I literally have to record every match to have any hope of reporting these people since crashing the server also removes your ability to report them from the match.
-
I notice survivors are already getting better at versing him but I still find him fun to play regardless. That is a good sign.
-
People are still buying the DLC and leveling up this killer and will likely not go out until they have full perks.
I suspect you will see much more Dredge than you want soon enough because he is a decent killer.
-
I consider Midwitch to be one of Dredge's strongest maps so sending yourself there may help.
-
I would also add to take the time to listen as you teleport and pause before choosing the next locker. Do it right and you can get great results.
-
The only perk I actively used while getting his adept is the Darkness Revealed. This is all he needs to get a sense of where to teleport and constantly stay in the chase and proc Nightfall. I would just focus on 12 hooking them and not try to play around the perks as the other 2 are passive.
-
I do not hold out hope for refunds on retired offerings. I would avoid moris in the bloodweb if possible.
-
Unrelenting.
Yes, yes I know, it means "I miss many swings" and insert joke about getting glasses.
This perk seems like it would suck, but then remember about that one survivor who is injured and pulls off that sweet move with Dead Hard at a critical moment in the match. Unrelenting prevents survivors from getting to a safe tile in time or reaching the gate. It seems to come in most handy when you need it most. I like to play without gen slowdown perks so I need to end chases quickly. This perk gives me downs or hook grabs that I would not have gotten otherwise consistently. It will always have a place in my perk rotations.
-
That is a good way to farm the locker grab achievement
-
It is the journey, not the destination. Make use of the perks you have until the RNG gods bless you.
-
Dredge is a lot of fun to play and can really pull off some crazy locker plays. I will play this killer for pleasure, not just for daily challenges.
-
I liked the old offerings that just increased the chance a little. Sending people to Midwitch as Dredge has been fun though!
-
I have no problem lunging with her but I agree the lunge animation could be better.
-
A 6-year-old game will have many veterans, and the matchmaking can only pick from available players. Veterans make mistakes and bad decisions just like anyone else and you can learn new things from playing against someone with more game knowledge.
It is a mind game; if you go into a match with a defeatist attitude, you create a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I tried it for a day. That was more than enough to know how pointless it is against dead hard.
I get value from it at least several times a match when I use it and I get downs on survivors that would have gotten to a safe tile or the gate.
It can also be used to bait unhooks into grabs.
-
Try Unrelenting for a week. I think you will be surprised at the results!
-
It is a mechanic designed to frustrate just like so many other powers in the game design. Seeing the clawing animation over and over while they gain distance is designed to make you feel like someone is holding you back when all you want to do is go forward.
The rubberbanding makes this worst.
-
It is going to be with us for at least a few more months. I have accepted it and started running Unrelenting. This perk is made fun of, but it consistently comes in clutch several times a match and results in downs I would not have gotten otherwise due to Dead Hard.
PS it also works great for locker plays and if you get spinned out
-
You need Merciless killer
-
Blobby
-
I remember not knowing about the vault on the big swamp boat for a long time after the map got released.
I think it is a good quality of life feature for survivors learning new maps or not running windows of opportunity.
-
Solo queue is pure DBD. It is the original concept. The randomness is the point whether is tiles or teammates. I have seen things that only happened once in thousands of hours and the game still surprises me sometimes. SWF matches with experienced players tend to go the same way with 3 or 4 out with the occasional squad wipe when they get bad RNG. When the stars align and 4 experienced solo players end up on a team, it is nearly an identical result.
It is frustrating to get teamed up with someone who is clowning around or making terrible mistakes, but you can still earn plenty of blood points saving and healing them before death. I would rather head into the unknown and play the cards I am dealt than every match being 3 and 4 escapes tea bagging the killer.

I don't want to mention them tbh. Might encourage people to start campaigning about them again.
Doc shock, Clown bottles, Hag addon that deafens, Pyramid head barbed wire on the screen, blood on the screen or anything obscuring vision in general
