I was focused on getting all perks on all killers so the cakes are spread out nicely among them all.
I am happy about having a few hundred on Nurse so I can justify practicing with her.
-
Even if you banned shaders modern gaming monitors have internal settings that give the same visual results.
Console players can benefit from those advantages as well assuming they can afford one. I like the AORUS FV43U.
-
They did this so you have to make reasoned choices when picking your perks by making sure they synergize for maximum effect.
IW with the new reworked lightweight perk for example seems like a good combo for escaping chases without using an exhaustion perk.
Old DBD is dead soon. Plan accordingly.

Sparkling underwear would be hilarous

I'm speaking the truth, against good survivors he is trash.
That really applies to most killers. If there is no weak link killers will have a more challenging time.
-
I wish the endgame just started automatically when the last-gen was done. It would require perk reworks but it is an exciting mechanic that is not allowed to play out most matches.

Myers is literally the worst killer in the game
Yes yes please keep spreading this propaganda. I like when survivors tea bag my Michael out in the open as I stare at them.
Kool Aid Man Myers just does not care. Enduring, Brutal, Bamboozal, Unrelenting
-
I am great with every killer except Nurse but I gave her a try today because I leveled her and have hundreds of cakes. As long you pay attention to how many blinks you have available and wait for the right time it seems to be doable. To be honest, it is like playing another game, and any skills you learn with her are not really transferable to other killers.
I take a break after every match win or lose, and that makes playing the game more tolerable for me.
-
This game is designed to give the roller-coaster emotions of frustration and elation. I have only been able to play it with long breaks in-between goals achieved. I wonder if the redesign will change how it feels.
I would like for the devs to disable or allow us to disable the defeat music when people get sacrificed or the "entity hungers".
No need to rub salt in the wound.
-
Event Horizon or Pandorum would provide rich content and characters.
-
All perks no prestige is level 5 for my killers. My Dwight was level 6 but that may be because I poured bp into him.
-
I think I understand now. The snapshot the PTB is using is before I had Max perks on everyone.
-
All perks all killers and all perks on Dwight. Never prestiged
-
They are factoring in something else that we are unaware of. I agree though.
I got all perks on all killers without prestige and most of my killers went to 5 except the ones I have not played as much.
Killers I have not played very much like Nurse were prestige 2-4 even though they had all perks.
-
I have Laurie PTSD. Her grunts of pain trigger an ancestral fear and remembrance of first down DS.
-
I will try it after the changes to bbq. Not worth playing killer without that sweet bp
-
He is my favorite killer to play in a long time. I like non-human monster killers and his M1 feels very satisfying to land, especially after a remnant teleport. His add-ons are fun and useful too. The voices are getting a bit old though.
-
It is not the killer so much as how the player chooses to play that killer and what the game allows them to do.
-
Don't let the mind game lead you to despair. Change how you perceive victory. This game is silly and not worth taking seriously.
Earn as many blood points as possible doing things to help the team escape. I don't mean farming people from the hook. I mean reacting to the cards being dealt with a fearless aspect. Not sitting idle. Doing something that will proc a scoring event and keep doing it until you are killed horribly or escape. You are already dead in the game. You are reborn after each sacrifice. Just put on a good show!

Clown main opinion here.
There no add-on that decreases bottle velocity and I think you mean the angle from Parade Gloves which decreases the throw angle while increasing bottle velocity, which is not recommended.
As for the purple add ons, those can be good in the right hands and Ether 15%, which I use with Gin or Bleach, still a solid add-on.
You can combine Garish with cigar box to have wall hack, which could be good against multiple flashlights. I use this combo with Starstruck, agitation, iron will and lightborn whenever I see a SwF with 4 flashies.
The only add-on that is need of a rework is the Karosene Can as blinding survivors for 30 mins does nothing.
You COULD change Karosene can to have 2 second duration while invigorated and change Garnish to something else.
For more info on which add-ons are good on him, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEcyf7__djA&t=22700s
The blind status effect is slept on. Think about all those survivors that depend on Windows of Opportunity

Hex Ruin or any other Hex build will require you to synergize several perks to get the most value.
It will no longer be as effective due to base killer changes that make the killer role a bit easier.

I'm talking about both roles. I play both fairly equally. For example last night, I had very limited time to play. Only could fit in a few games. Was one pip away from next grade and was trying to do a challenge. Not only did I lose all my pips but I couldn't get the challenge done either. So even I, who is reasonably relaxed when it comes to this game got a bit miffed. I'm not blaming the game for this I'm just pointing out it can wear you down at times.
The day I started ignoring pips and just played the game normally I found myself way less stressed and enjoyed myself.

i do not say you are supposed to win, but i think it would be nice to have notification that you play in some sort of VERY HARD brasket. Its not that you are bad or unlucky but you have a very decent players against you. What is wrong with that? They say already that they have MMR in the game.
"why would game infortm you that you will face more difficult opponents?" because they say game have some kind of system (mmr etc). It is already impied. Would not it be nice to know that game started giving you some sort of 10k hours proplayers with 50 winsteak? You wont be so desperate after losing.

i mostly speak about killer`s expirience. i have no idea how survivior`s system is supposed to work and what system based on.

well, fun comes usualy from balanced matches. If you are destroyed completly mostly you get frustration and anger.
"Destroyed" is a concept in your mind. Look at it as a hide and seek game instead of a murder simulator.

Since I have hundreds of cakes on my nurse be prepared for the worst Nurse trying again and again

This is true but it can bog you down if you are constantly "losing" no matter how casual your approach is. I like to think I'm extremely chill and relaxed when it comes to this game but there are times when I'm having bad run after bad run and it does start to wear thin.
Switch out the killer or bring yourself to a map you enjoy to break up the streak. Switching to survivors can also be relaxing.
I used to swap roles each match and it helped.
PS: This game has no true win conditions. It is a mind game.
-
Taking the game less seriously will result in you having a lot more fun while spending your time on DBD.
-
Iron Grasp, Agitation, Starstruck, Mad Grit and you will tear apart most teams if they want to be aggressive.
Some matches are not winnable. That is ok. Even the best lose sometimes. Once I started placing more importance on blood points than 4k, the killer role became more enjoyable.
I like scaring them in creative ways and making memorable moments that they don't see every match. I will still kill any that fall to my blade but I no longer feel like a failure if they escape. There are too many variables and we still have subtle cheaters who run as fast as the killer and other cheats.
Take things less seriously and you will enjoy the game more.
-
If you play out your tough games and make the right choices with a little bit of luck you can pull off comebacks or at least earn enough bp for it to be worth the effort.

I got such a preset loadout, too.
Mine includes Agitation, Starstruck, MadGrit and Lightborn.
I call it the Clicker Whipper
That seems like a good way to plan out load-outs based on the lobby or map you are about to play.
-
I use his spear selectively to disrupt healing and only take close range shots when I have predicted their next movement. It works out most matches. Unrelenting on him catches many by surprise.
-
It is a gamble that carried many killer victories as well as insta cleanse within seconds of the match starting.
I ran Ruin once when Hag came out. I will never again run perks that can be disabled by survivors.
-
Never mind I restarted and they are there now.
-
This thread got me thinking of post-BBQ builds. Fearmonger, Knockout, Nurses Calling, Deerstalker
That Haddie perk that causes killer blindness is the counter.

It counters kindred for.... Five seconds. That's not a counter, it's a slight inconvenience.
OP: I only use fearmonger coupled with blood echo on plague and legion. The true strength of it isn't the exhaustion or the blindness because the duration of both is too short to be of consequence. The true strength is that it prevents exhaustion from recovering while doing gens.
So when coupled with blood echo you give the survivors a choice: can I live without my precious dead hard or do I slam out gens like I want? Many survivors burst into flames without an exhaustion perk to lean on.
It counters kindred as long as they stay on the gen. You are assuming all survivors get off the gen when they notice someone hooked in the status hud. Many are in their own world and leave people to die.
-
I remember being confused in 2017 when the progress was not changing. There were fewer killer choices back then so it was easier to grind. The best bet is to use add-ons that prevent them from escaping quickly.
If you do not enjoy playing Trapper don't let an achievement force you to. Life is too short. Enjoy yourself and love yourself.
-
I think that it is a fair change for those who cannot hear or play music while playing. If they don't spot you early then at least the chase starts at a little closer distance.
-
I want them to see each other. The biggest mistake survivors can do against me is to heal each other during nightfall.
-
Fearmonger counters Kindred. It also frequently results in people dying on the hook because the survivor on gens is not paying attention to the status hud.
-
I occasionally come across survivors who seem to be running faster than me. I have got good at spotting them and just ignoring them and trying to end the match as soon as possible.
-
@Gorgonia said:
Guys, you're talking about being decent survivors... that's not what 70% of solo Q is.
You could say the same for newer/frequently "losing" killers that they face if MMR is working. The survivors that escape or know how to ensure they end with a high score win or lose are also in the solo queue. These "solo queue" survivors make efficient use of their perks, do gens, save, and pay attention to the status hud.
I have long advocated that SWF is shown at the end game screen so the debate can be closed once and for all.
-
Killer actions that produce the most points are not aligned with your defend the hook plan besides making the game miserable because you cannot bother to use your brain more during matches. Wraith or Bubba is probably your best bet for this low skill low score playstyle.
If blood points are not your motivation then you probably enjoy taking the wings and legs off of insects too.

Its not that I dont know. but I stay on their back 2 meter away from them on straight-line hall way of midwich, without catching up for 20 sec is very spot on for me tbh. If you play killer long enough, you will understand with odd running speed of survivor.
I have 2400 hours and have played since 2016. I understand the type of player you are talking about. They are always out of reach. Always already running as soon as you spot them. They are easy to recognize and as long as the whole team is not doing that you can ignore them until they are the only ones left in the match. If all 4 survivors are doing that you will be lucky to get a 2 hook game. I just do my best and move on since I cannot change the current situation.
The good news is many of them were banned in the last wave.
-
Cheaters are out there but some survivors are really good at starting chases right at the edge of your terror radius so that the maximum amount of your time is wasted. There is no way to know for sure but if you record your matches you can report them. I don't bother to record my gameplay and just take things as they come. Just do your best and understand that some matches are just not winnable.
-
I have let go of Dwights more than any others. I get mercy as Dwight more than any others. Dwight is love.
-
I love all the non-human killers and look forward to being the Alien one day.
-
I am quite sure this game is just an experiment in human behavior. They purposely create frustrating situations and observe our behavior.
Each of us has a choice to be a saint or a devil. There is mercy and ruthlessness in each match.

I already play survivor. The thing is, I DO play for fun. It's not even about winning.
Being stuck in a 2 minute chase without any counter play is literally NOT fun.
Knowing when to drop chase is hard for our egos. I was on a team that got absolutely destroyed by an onryo that kept the pressure on all of us hit and run style. We eventually lost that war of attrition.
Point is, that the killer is about being frustrated but the best killers keep their cool. They are constantly thinking about what the other survivors are doing while they are chasing someone—keeping a mental picture in their mind trying to predict actions just like in a chase you are trying to predict their path.
-
Try to have fun instead of this desire to "win" all or most of your games. There are good and bad matches for both roles.
If you do not already I would suggest playing survivor so you can get a feeling of the pain you intend to inflict on others.

And those 4 survivors that the OP faced, how often do they lose?
Only against a meta nurse?
You would be surprised. There are clowns, mikes, freds, pigs killing SWFs.
If you make good use of micro fakes, hiding your red light, commit to chases less if other targets appear, and in general, insta hook them picking up facing a wall to avoid others picking them up or unbreakable or flip flop ...you get the idea
-
I am not sure how many hours you have in the game but everyone loses matches. You cannot win every match. There is so much RNG with the maps, items, perks, add-ons, etc that in most matches one side will be at a disadvantage. Once you stop placing importance on sacrificing them and instead focus on winning chases the game becomes much more fun. I have over 2400 hours and still face teams that keep me at 2 hooks all match. I do not take it personally knowing that the game can be random and unfair in my favor as well. Just move on to the next match and your luck will probably improve.
Perhaps the killer role will be less tedious with the next update.
