Makes sense. I have 2500 hours never did it. I have all killers all perks and cannot wait to get home and see my progress. I assume the achievements get unlocked auto now?
-
As someone who did not run gen slowdown perks prior to the update this change is a buff.

Rent free for 5 yrs, nightmares over a perk is too much, I understand.
How is it rent-free when it was in almost every match? Rent was paid
-
Being injured should never have made survivors stronger.
-
Back to Tarkov
-
I leave the survivors that are clearly good runners for last when I have plenty of time to chase them. Especially since those players tend to run straight to the shack or directly away from generators every time. Better to down and hook the weak links that would otherwise be sitting on generators.
-
I reached all my goals, so I'm not interested in playing until the patch. The Dredge will be played a lot.
I love its basic attack and the passive nature of the nightfall power charging as you play. Its anti-loop is pretty sweet when it works.

Honestly, it does take some practice. I tend to turn when they turn. Also don't hit immediately, wait a second longer than normal to make sure they aren't gonna Dead Hard or turn. Also, try the Perk Unrelenting. It is very good for practice, it let's you hit quicker after a missed hit. You can use that to practice until you get better and then switch it out. =) That's what I did.
Unrelenting is not just for practice. It allows you to get grabs at pallets, windows, and hooks that are normally not possible. It is also a good bait tool, even for the new dead hard.
-
I bum rush every pallet and get stunned a lot. On the bright side, those that try to get me to respect the pallet get smacked.
-
I would be fine if the bottles just slowed survivors down and did not affect their vision. Sort of like that useless Hag addon that deafens survivors for whatever reason.
-
I have to really be in the mood to play Trickster, Billy, Nurse, or Ghostface.
I have fun with the rest of the cast but my favorites are Trapper, Mike, Hag, Clown, PH, Dredge, Nemesis, and Demogorgon.
-
I will certainly be using Unrelenting this weekend for the great battle ahead
-
You are just playing the role. It is best to not take it personally and just move on to the next match.
-
The Mitchi guide on YouTube should be your first priority watch. It will provide you with trap placement ideas that can make any map a dangerous place for survivors without flashlights.
I play her a little differently than standard as I do not run gen slowdown and instead focus on anti-heal and surprise.
Monitor and Abuse - Nurses - Sloppy - BBQ used to be used as the fourth pick but after the patch, I will likely run Clourphobia or Unnerving presence.
This build requires you to actively place traps in dead zones and to keep track of where survivors are healing. Monitor will allow you to approach before they realize you are there. Flashlights will make it harder but as long as you stay aggressive and keep them injured it usually works out.

The change triggers me that, I use healing focus build (We'll make it, Botany, Desperate measure with Empathy) that only healing on teammate, which Im always bring a Brown medkit for myself. This change just make me unable to do so.
I dont know why they buff a perk then nerf another aspect that make the perk pointless.
The point of these changes is to encourage synergy in perk choices to enhance the desired effects.
If you are running a heal-focused build and not seeking out healing from others then that is a flaw in your strategy.
What about that item recharging perk instead of We'll Make it? It is redundant to take a perk that only gives fast healing via unhooks as well as Botany.
-
Dredge M1 attack is one of the most satisfying.

You should apply to work for BHVR, if you don’t already.
Truth does not require them to pay me. I have been playing since Oct 2016. I have killed and died thousands of times and see the light.
Healing others is in your best interest and if you do that, they will also heal you.
If you choose to assume everyone will be selfish then you should prepare with the right perks.
-
If you are not interested in healing others faster then Botany is not a perk you should run. There are other more selfish perk options as well as just using a Medkit by itself.
-
I will play whatever role is available, especially with the incentives.
-
I use botany so I can heal others faster not myself. I also run leader so they heal me faster. By healing others faster I improve the chances of my own survival, especially against sloppy and thana.
-
Put points into characters you will actually play.
-
The game can only match you with people currently playing. DBD is 6 years old and survivors who are newbies are far and few between.

This is untrue as I have mocked and dunked on many myers a lot of times, and the only repercusion I got was 5000 escape points.
I never said he had a 100% success rate and it was clearly said in a playful tone. Woosh
-
The best way to beat DBD is to not play DBD.
If you choose to be part of the nightmare it is best experienced with a deathwish and a healthy dose of Dominant and Submissive play. You have to enjoy being hurt.
-
Michael is hardcore. He does not care, he has no mercy, his soul is black, and he cannot be mocked without repercussions.
I have been playing him since the beginning and I rarely have a game where I did not have fun. It is especially pleasing to see the jumpscares from the survivor side when you play a streamer. He is one of the rare killers that each side can have a blast with.
-
Hillbilly is only harder if you are only going for chainsaws. M1 Billy is easy as pie.
-
When I tried this perk I got value about once per match even on the game. Not worth it unless your entire build is pallet breaking.
-
There is a small window after it hits the ground where the whip can move a little left or right.
-
I do want to add that if the survivor adepts required a double pip escape that would be fair but that cat is out of the bag.
-
I get they are difficult but saying they are impossible is stretching it. I enjoy the ritual of leveling up a new killer, unlocking their perks, and planning out which map and add-ons will give me the best chance for victory. (etc. Midwitch for Dredge, Dead Dawg for Blight)
It just takes discipline using a specific set of perks until it is accomplished.
I do not allow myself to use other perks until done. Guess what? It gets done.
-
You never know what Rift Challenges or Daily Challenge a killer is doing. Kills may be required for example. It is easy to assume bad intentions since we cannot communicate.
In general, I think that mercy should be rare for it to be meaningful. I want to do objectives too.
-
Sometimes you have to be the hero. Even if the team is being melted you can save and heal or take aggro and earn good bp.
It only becomes frustrating if you expect to survive. Go in fearless and let the escapes mean something and stick in your mind as amazing victories.
-
I never prestiged, but I get the disappointment. These players want something to show off to others.
Make whatever it is visible at the end game screen or in the lobby.
-
There are one in a million moments to experience but you have to slog through the mud to get there.
The game is better than it has ever been but it takes its toll if you care about victory.
-
I would continue to use a controller for survivors. You will be able to turn tight as a tiger
-
I still get success by taking the closer range shots and only committing when I feel I have predicted their movement correctly. Less missed shots mean distance gained and less time wasted.
He is one of the best killers at interrupting healing if you have the right perks equipped and are so inclined.
If they cannot heal, they are one-shot and very vulnerable to the chain.
-
My gut says perk variety is a good thing. Perks should be especially helpful if you think about your builds and combine perks that compliment each other. You can no longer be the jack of all trades every match. In some matches, you will have the wrong perks for the opposition you face. That is ok. That is the gamble.
-
Things came together for me around the 700-hour mark. It may be wise to just wait until the next patch and forget this old version of DBD existed. Chases will be easier "in theory" due to the faster attack cooldown and survivors getting less distance after hits.
Survivors want to make you think they are going somewhere they are not and you are trying to accurately predict their next move or 2. At the really advanced levels, killers and survivors are doing "micro fakes" to make each other slip up and make the other lose time.
You must be aware of your red light and you must chase survivors in the correct directions around loops.
You also have to be willing to give up on a chase if the survivor is leading you away from generators and wasting too much of your time.
-
I never prestiged and had all perks on all killers. They were all level 5 in the PTB. I also had all perks on Dwight and he was level 6. I think that is because survivors have more perks to unlock.
-
Botany was always part of my build as a counter to sloppy butcher. I combine it with Leader so others heal me faster as well. This change buffs my build.
-
Put yourself in the survivor's shoes; it is not so hard to understand. It is valid but a low-skill tactic in most situations. It is always easier to defend than hunt.
It is about the BP for me, so killing them all is not as important as putting on a good show of skill and game knowledge. Pulling off a lunge with just the tip at a pallet, or moonwalking a tile and winning the mind game.
-
I have a million bp, reached iri 1, and accomplished my goal of all perks all killers. Just chilling until new DBD drops.
-
If you have no other bp offerings they are better than nothing, but they are a relic of a different time.
I agree some sort of recycling mechanic would be nice since there are so many offerings and add ons that each side will never use.
-
Chase them around the house clockwise if possible. It denies the easy fast vault. They use the ledge next to the stairs to circle around on the 2nd floor. You can catch up quick if you vault from the 2nd floor since they stagger.
-
I hear you but P1-3 was always about the bloody cosmetics. Anything else is a bonus. I do think that players who did it should get some bragging rights in the match as it seems to be important to them and they sacrificed lots of items, addons, time, and effort.
I resisted prestige temptation all these years and all perks should get me to prestige 5 on all killers when the patch hits.
-
I do enjoy his music very much. I really like Demo chase music too.
-
I promise you if you keep trying the stars will align for you. You just need the right map and survivors who make some bad decisions. Spread your attention and damage and you really only have to kill 3 of them as you can get merciless even if the last one gets the hatch.
-
For every flying Hag, there are also subtle hackers who speed up just when they need to and always seem to be out of reach.
If you normally are doing well and all of a sudden there is a survivor who you cannot gain ground on in chase, just switch targets and save them for last. They will likely teleport out the match anyway.
-
I did horrible things for the Jake bubba mask. I am also known to hook right next to open hatches.
-
Old Asylum was my favorite map for both roles. I like the central structure and the way it was laid out.
Any map that feels like an arena rather than some haphazard layout.
