Should a slugged survivor be able to heal another slugged survivor, at say 25% healing speed?
This still makes slugging a strategy but nerfs boring gameplay.
Yes, crawling Dwight mounts the other survivor and wiggles as the healing animation.
Seriously though this tactic is countered by perks if you really hate being slugged. When I get slugged I immediately start crawling away from the killer and get to a pallet, flashlight-friendly open area, or some hidden spot far away so I can be healed later or find the hatch. Most killers will hook you immediately and you can punish them if they do not.
In my very first match of DBD in 2016 I crawled out the hatch. Slippery snakes make use of being low.
-
Killer has 6 hooks and 5 gens are still up? These moments test the fortitude of even the most patient and understanding players.

Another way to put it is that survivors should not be auto-lose simply because the killer has a tiny bit of experience or is bring overpowered perks.
Survivor skill is meaningless and that is why the game is broken and survivors are frustrated. Killers should never be an EZ mode and that is exactly what it has become.
The overall trend has always been that killers are coddled by the devs in every patch since 1.0.0. DBD is not really a game now but rather a 4K simulator.
"tiny bit of experience"
It takes about a thousand hours to start to be the terror you describe and those players are not as common as the newbies and tourists getting rolled same as before the patch.
-
It is a huge behavioral experiment. Saints and sinners show their colors
-
I know they drew first blood but It's over Johnny!
-
I just wish we had personal stats for each of our characters. Every little detail of their journey.
I would love to know how many Dwights my Michael has killed for example.
Or how many times my Dwight has escaped from a Michael.
-
New Iron Will has saved my David a few times. It is situational but effective. Especially if you do not run exhaustion perks.
-
I ran a build with bond, open-handed, and kindred and it helped the team avoid a disaster at the hook a few times.
Bring perks to counter the things you hate.
I hate sloppy so I almost always bring botany and leader so I heal faster and get healed faster.
-
That made me chuckle. Happy Saturday
-
Many of the longest-serving DBD streamers who always played solo are still doing so. (Pug, Hexy, Morf, Coconut_rts, etc)
I do understand how it can be frustrating to have to relearn how to play a role with different rules.
-
Take some time to look at the new perks and figure out a nice build that works for your playstyle in this new version of DBD.
Go into your matches expecting to win. Be confident and brave and let the entity decide the rest.
If you gonna die, die with your boots on if you're gonna die
-
It gave hella perks to all my lower-level survivors when the update happened. The small blood web after prestige is really good for getting more perks and perk levels on those that need them very fast. Less useful if you already have all perks.
On the killer side even though I had "all perks all killers" (no prestige), it cost me over 1.5 million bp to get them all up one more level to prestige 6 after the patch. I lost count but I earned that bp pretty quickly just by playing killer.

But that's like saying: Our soccer team lost 0-5, but i played well. That's a win for me. No it ain't. You're just focusing on yourself in a team game, lol
You don't get to decide what is a "win" for other players. They clearly won in game terms but not in their own mind. A killer who feels they lost if 1 escaped, or a killer who just wants to 2 hook everyone. Each player gets to decide what they want from DBD and how they choose to play in order to achieve that. My score at the end of the match regardless of escapes or sacrifices is always what I put emphasis on.
-
He is easy to play so he attracts beginners and those that want a simplified killer experience.
Not caring about the hook order is also a simplified killer experience so they kind of go hand and hand.
-
I would suggest not straining your eyes to look into the black parts of the screen. Look at the visible parts.

im a killer only player bro - I don't play survivor at all.
YOU are the prey in the relationship.
I play both roles and you are limited by your murder fantasy in a hide and seek game. You ain't preying on anything
-
It is good that more people are playing killer. I am taking advantage of the fast survivor queues.
If you are stubborn and want to wait in the queue then that is on you.

I got it clear the conditions
Killer: avoid surv to escape.
Survs escape the trial.
How mmr works u escape or you kill if not u go down mmr
I understand that part. What I mean is each person has their own idea of what a win is. If I earned more points than anyone else in the match I consider that a win for example. This can be achieved even if I get sacrificed or survivors escape.
-
If sweaty means less time to point at each other and run backward sashaying back and forth then yes, when you load in the match it is time to play the game or die.
The "play survivor and win without really paying attention to the match" which is what survivor is famous for. That experience has changed for sure and I sympathize.
I have been playing solo survivor with just Empathy, Botany, Leader, and Kindred and earning plenty of points even if I get sacrificed.
-
I need to level my survivors so I appreciate the instant queues and the break from killer life.
Go for the points. Help the team and don't take it personal. You will have better games I am sure.
-
DBD is like craps. You can have a winning streak but the odds will catch up. Enjoy the glow of victory and treat yourself.
I recommend ice cream.
-
Old BBQ was great because it created a minigame to get 4 hooks secured before "relaxing" and just killing them in any order.
With that mini-game gone, I am not saying I will tunnel you but I might
The aura reading is not worth the perk slot on its own but with Lethal Pursuer, it becomes a different beast. In general, it is best to combo perks that accomplish similar things now.
-
Mostly Nurses and Legions for me
-
DBD hackers are the lowest of the low because this game does not even have clear win conditions and they are making an unfair game even more unfair. I try to ignore them if I recognize what they are.
-
The only change for me is using Empathy instead of WGLF. Botany, Leader, Kindred is my usual build.
-
I have noticed the same. I try to kill them but do not fret if they escape because I usually have earned plenty of BP.
There are occasional 2 hook games against gods (pre-patch), but in general putting on a good show pays well.

I've done that multiple times with Trapper and Myers, does that mean they need nerfs or am I just uber good at the game and don't know it?
What elements of your own gameplay may have lead to that happening?
what RNG elements may have led to that happening?
Was nurse OP or were you just really bad as a team against her that game?
We could have done better as a solo q random team, sure. Most of the team tried and died but never gave up and that is all you can ask for.

That's basekit nurse to boot. Seems like a skill issue to me. 🤷
My score proves I did my best. Don't resort to insults to prove whatever point you have.
-
I am noticing that any character that I prestige is getting a significant boost to unlocking perks since they are unlocked faster on the smaller blood webs.
-
I destroyed both her totems right at the start of the match, and she killed us all with just Dragons Grip and no add-ons. If the player has mastered Nurse it is tough to beat.
-
Restarted the game and it reset.
-
I like that I can try out more perk combos. SoloQ survivors who also play killer like this patch. My healer build is working great for points. Empathy, Botany, Leader, Kindred - (I should point out Fearmonger screws me haha)
-
It is a cute animation that makes me feel pity for them.
-
OP has 6k hours and says killer is too easy. The vast majority of players are not even near those hours. They are not stomping at 5 gens. Not every killer is running 4 gen slowdown. I only run tracking and anti-healing perks for example.
I have a feeling the stats will show survivors still escaping their butts off, just not as often.
I do agree that this game is less hard if you play unfairly. This has been true since the start.
-
I am swapping either anti-healing builds or tracking builds. Stridor and predator is a fun combo on Spirit.
Dropping BBQ made space for more targeted synergies combining perks of the same feather.
-
I am going to be running Stridor/Predator Spirit as you seem to be correct. Stealth is back.

That is nice of you to go easy and let them win. But, that in itself spells out a huge balance issue if you, the killer, have to go easy and balance the horror for them to have a chance. This shouldn't be a killer choice.
Killers should be required to try very hard or have a lot of experience to win. And killers with experience shouldn't win every game either.
This confirms the game is broken in favor of killer.
The stats will confirm it, not my individual experience.
-
The good news is this type of "feedback" is only part of what the devs will be looking at when making future decisions on balancing. Stats won't lie. At least in my games (where I do not run gen slowdown), survivors are surviving plenty. I admit if I chose to play unfairly less would survive but many killer players have empathy. I try to balance out the horror.

"Toxic players play both sides?" Click "Always have"
-
Take your vengeance where you can but it is better for your mental health to not take it so seriously.
It is a hide-and-seek game, not a murder simulator.

I am. And by doing this I’ve realised how weak and niche the majority of them are especially newer ones
Self preservation, Overzealous, boon: dark theory, boon: exponential, clairvoyance, resurgence, rookie spirit and counterforce are all example of weak perks released fairly recently.
Coconut did some research
-
YEARS of suffering first down DS and Dead Hard and the world is ending less than a week after a patch that changes things up.
Please try some of the new perks and think about how you can use them.
-
I assume it still gives extra bp too? Faster gens more bp makes sense to me
-
I play solo queue as a healer and leader and it usually results in plenty of points live or die. I also run Kindred and it makes things much easier. The patch is not even a week old so the exaggerated complaints will fall on deaf ears since the devs can see the actual stats.

Because the only time killer mains play survivor is in swf that’s why they think it’s easy.
Nonsense. Many Killer "mains" are soloQ mains if they play both roles. "No friends" remember?
-
Solo Q is pure DBD. The original concept. Random good and bad matches depend on the killer choice, the map, what addons and items are used, perks, and of course the players. That is a 6-year-old story.
I have had some of the most exciting escapes and 1 in a million moments in Solo Q.
It demands taking on a grim aspect to queue it up. Defiance of death. Determination, skill, and altruism. Heros and cowards show their true colors.
-
No more moving your mouse up and down to bait it. No more running Unrelenting in revenge.
Good survivors can still extend chases with micro jukes and smart movement but mistakes will be punished far more often.
-
"giga chad music"
Pure DBD is solo queue. It is where random things happen good and bad
