Maybe because the 3 seconds between a hit and the vault hadn´t passed.
Your terror radius has to be active. It is not during Nightfall

Never prestiged in 2300 hours. Perks over clothes always and it seems to have paid off.
-
I tried him again because he had many cakes and he is actually pretty good. Especially with SBFL
-
I had the Twins bug where I could no longer use the spacebar to break pallets and pickup. Happened mid-match and the survivors had no idea so kept playing normally. I do not blame them.
They cannot know what your intentions are and have to assume the worst. Do not expect mercy and you will never be disappointed.
-
Michael is classic and can pull off some crazy stuff in the right hands and RNG in his favor.
-
Sometimes it is hard to understand someone's intentions until you get to the end game chat.
The cycle of revenge is unending. That killer that treated you badly could have been a survivor who got camped out the last match.
This tension and frustration are the core of this experiment we participate in.

My Dwight loves Claudette. David is her best friend and Dwight's buddies are Ash and Adam. They solve mysteries in a van.

hey man, you get matched against enough baby survivors and you'll get bored and want to make the game harder.
I was joking but I understand what you mean. You can accomplish the same by not running any gen or healing slowdown perks. This alone will give them an edge and is an expression of skill. I also favor not using add ons as any blood points earned are pure profit.
-
I personally would be fine with hooked survivors teleporting to a hook at some empty part of the map.
-
Survivor propaganda
-
This question has baffled researchers since 2016. They will say it is to "make sure everyone gets out" but many of them like to relish their victories since they die horribly in many matches. It was worst before End Game Collapse.
-
When I play killer survivors who are hiding all match enrage me as this means fewer blood points. I would rather have a group of clickers sashaying backwards.
Some players cannot accept any defeat and would do anything to prevent it regardless of the fairness. As you might imagine they have other mental problems as well.

No one is asking for you to get a pip for doing nothing. Not gaining a pip would still be a thing.
I cannot imagine that players are getting the displeased result very often if they are playing normally. As others have mentioned the current system is way more forgiving than it used to be. I would just let the cards lay where they fall and not even pay attention to pips.
This is best for mental health.
-
END GAME CHAT
-
Going 4 deep is the only way to guarantee good players. Without a weak link, victory is likely.
That being said, solo queue is the dbd experience as envisioned originally and gives me the most satisfaction. I focus on heals and saves when the team is being destroyed and gens when they are holding their own.
Many times, even if I die I make plenty of bp and pip. If you consider yourself dead already then the frustration is much less frequent.
-
I suppose it is so you actually try to earn points and participate in your games. If you could just AFK to Iri it would not make sense either.
-
"How do you build pressure? Tunnel, Camp and slugging"
You build pressure by winning chases and downing survivors quickly.
After the gates are powered all is fair game but I would rather chase another survivor than do circles around a hook even if it means I "lose"
-
Use the same number on the end game screen with all the player names.
-
I would use whatever the end-game score screen says.
-
I would put it out of your mind and just take things as they come. Stop fighting it and just go with the flow.
Choose your own victory condition no matter what happens. Mine is to do my best. If I did my best what else can I ask of myself?
Some matches are just bad RNG with tiles and the little decisions each player makes.
-
I like this thread giving me tips on which addons to use
-
Pyramid head with nurses is one of my favorite ways to play. Double downs through walls are fun!
-
I rode Clown to Rank 1 with those bottles before sbmm..good times.
-
Once you start winning they throw harder players at you. You lose once or twice and then you will get a clueless bunch of survivors as a treat.
-
After some thought, I would say I have given hatch WAY more often than survivors have sacrificed themselves to me during the end game after the gates are open and they have won. The matches where it did happen were ones where I showed mercy and did not death hook after 1 DC.
-
Killers and survivors have RIFT or daily challenges that require them to do things that seem cruel. It is hard to know the player's intent.
-
Noed happens at the end of the match when you have already earned most of your points. It can be countered.
-
I should bring my Hag out from retirement
-
OK, I will bite. How would you feel about an exhaustion totem perk as well?
-
I think at this point it is best to just max perk out any character you care about and let the auto prestige take care of the rest when the time comes. The loss of all the perks and items is not worth it anymore.
-
Your brain would have exploded in 2016. Bodyblocking is fun for them and points for you.
If you want to turn the tables just run Starstruck, Agitation, and Iron Grasp.
-
I find predicting movement to be satisfying as well as getting value from the perks I brought.
-
Trapping under the feet :P

Right, especially when THEM are waiting for US at the gates to give us free hits before they leave. They often seem to leave just a bit before the hit though, probably to be nice and waste as little of our time as possible, but they do it too early by mistake!
I caught 2 at the gate recently thanks to SBFL and Deathslinger reeling healing greed out the gate
-
Always remember every action leads to more blood points. Even a loss can be profitable. Never give up.
-
Don't take it personally. The killer's burden is to be feared and taunted. Sometimes you can take advantage of their mistakes.
-
Killer is best played in short bursts. I take a break after every match. One thing you will notice is once you are in the match, many times it is not as bad as your imagination assumed it would be.
I also take deep breaths as I load in and have a terrible aspect to my eyes in my focus and eventually frenzy
-
This game has been out a long time and it can only match you with "the best" choice from the pool of players currently playing. A 6-year-old game will not have many newbies so killers will have to jump in on the deep side in many matches.
-
Complaining is part of the experience. DBD is designed to frustrate and feel unfair at times so people want to say something about what they experienced while still playing.
-
I do not usually run gen slowdown perks anymore. If survivors can get 5 gens done I usually open the gates since I do not run end-game perks. This means I have trained myself to 12 hook by the time 5 gens are completed and any dilly-dallying on the part of the survivor team will just give me extra time. I go into a trance and frenzy and many times I am surprised there is nobody left when I hook the last person.
I now understand that faster games are an advantage to both roles. More matches mean more BP and more XP since scoring categories are capped.
-
I use Monitor, Nurses, and Sloppy besides BBQ. It allows me to get close to land shots and interrupt healing. Obviously no gen defense but I usually kill them all by the end by denying heals.
-
Do not expect mercy or farming. This is still DBD.
Sometimes the RNG is not in your favor so do not take it personally. If you did make mistakes be honest with yourself and try to learn from the experience.
-
Dead Dawg was the "favorite map" :)
-
I have 53 cakes on my Deathslinger. I do not like playing Deathslinger but I am doing it anyway. Believe in yourself and do your best.
Nothing is guaranteed but if you fear defeat before the trial has begun, you have already lost.
-
This game is so old that you cannot avoid going up against competent survivors on teams or not. Newbies are far and few between. They hardly even need to communicate to destroy as they have game knowledge.
I know SWF is very important to this game and will never go away, but I do wish the end game score screen made it clear who was in a team together. I would feel better knowing an SWF was destroyed or having the knowledge that I was beaten by one.

And I have a lot of games where survivors have dead hard, and they still die.
Agreed. Just saying they are easier prey than normal.

I have a great difficulty to find my first survivor, because, very often, all the survivor are on the furthest from me, When I play, my luck is ######### low, everytime ... So, One gen is done before I found one
I use the nearest corner to me at spawn and orient away from it and it usually guides me right to them.
-
I agree that if a team does really well opening the gate for them ensures the match ends quickly.
That being said, you should keep trying no matter what to maximize your blood point gains for spending the limited time in your life on this game. Life is short and spending time trying to take points away from others is a futile endeavor.
Never give up and magic will happen sometimes.
-
This game is a social experiment. The name of the company is the clue. They do not play their game because they are scientists studying our altruism and murderous tendencies. They introduce various "perks" to make things unfair and increase rivalry. This enhances the experiment.

You have to be a hero
