I want faster matches and seeing mori animations more frequently will be a good thing. Faster matches mean faster queues. If you want to show mercy do not down them.
-
SWF can be annoying but they are obvious and the matches tend to be fast. I no longer take it personally and I am fine if some escape as long as nobody was cheating. I know some will say voice coms are cheating but SWF has been here a long time and facing them makes you a better killer if you learn their patterns. More people playing is a good thing and people like playing with their friends.
You are still killing plenty of survivors despite SWF existing.
-
I just had a game where the survivors did not have dead hard. They died.

But only on bad survivors, due to PH making a tremendous amount of noise while walking, an even louder noise when prepping his shockwave, and an enormous start-up delay along with a "this is where you need to move out of" red beam (that is shown to survivors through walls) to warn them to move slightly to one side.
I would agree that on certain maps it is harder to do. Yet despite all that I still get double downs fairly frequently. That alone is enough for me to always run nurses on him. PH feels powerful and is a threat if you don't spam his power too much.
-
I would highly suggest using nurses calling with him as you can get double downs through walls.
-
Nurse is the only killer I do not bother with unless I have a daily. I played her enough for her achievements but for now I will ignore her.
-
Dwight has useful perks that I still use after thousands of hours. Pick a main and just unlock the teachables. Claudette is where I would go next for botany knowledge.
-
Maybe at first, we get credit for whatever we already did, and then going forward hitting the middle thing counts as the prestige.

Mori offering WHAT? 😨🤣
Let's say it involves more than one😩every weekend
-
Ripley and Alien would be amazing and I am sure they will do it if they can.

I hope that if they retire moris, they don't delete them ala Hawkins offerings and instead let people use their stockpiled ones. I mean, there's no harm to it at all, they're more cosmetic than functional, and I personally am not a fan of the idea that only one survivor will be mori-able per match.
As such, I'm not using up my mori offerings until we get confirmation on what will happen to them. I'd like to have some cool, heh, mementos for a distant future age.
I get that. I like looking at the expired offerings from the past. But you only really need one to keep the memento.
-
I had a game where I showed kindness to a survivor team after one disconnected on first hook. They sacrificed themselves to the end game in gratitude.
-
Playing both roles is what unlocks this understanding and empathy. I would suggest always running "we are going to live forever" as that is their equivalent to BBQ. It makes your time spent worth it when you can get consistent stacks. It will never be as much as the killer but the faster matches make up for it.
-
It is an ancient enemy from 2016. Lots of bad memories and grudges.
-
Disconnecting never made sense to me as the bloodpoints earned go to waste. It is basically a tantrum and barely held in check with the penalty.
-
At this point, the teachable perks have been spread out to their other characters already. That might make sense during the first few weeks of release.

Learn to bait it out, keep practicing
You cannot bait dead hard for distance
-
Do your best and try not to take it so seriously. I know that is hard to do but it is best for mental health. Getting worked up causes stress that may affect your physical health as well. Take a break after every match and try to approach things from a hide-and-seek perspective rather than a murder simulator.

Dad DCs on pretty much every killer I've played since yesterday, Doctor, Huntress,Trapper, Bubba, Ghost Face.
Penalties should be closer to 30 minutes honestly. The current penalty is about the time I take between matches to have a break anyway. So wouldn't be detrimental in any way. It's getting ridiculous at this point where every game is either up against far higher skilled plaers or DCs because I actually manage to do alright. Not really encouraging for any kind of more layed back gameplay.
30 minutes seems fair especially considering someone may legitimately have an IRL issue they have to deal with and DC while it might give someone pause if they are disconnecting for the memes.
-
I want more perks that give bp bonuses for a variety of gameplay behaviors, especially those that promote good sportsmanship.
-
This game breaks people mentally. Take solace that they get a small break from the horror

The game is not balanced for casual players. The killers objective is way too easy.
Theoretically speaking, the way the players are playing is how they are supposed to play but there is no feasible path to escape.
You have to play on a perfect team or the gates will not be opened. But I never play anymore expecting the gates to open.
This right here. If you are already dead in your mind the killer cannot harm you anymore

oh yeah, i guess i will change my goals to die every single time and call it a win, and getting barely any bp as well ! that is such a fun goal !! lets die and get 3-4k 20 times in a row and call it a win a be happy ! , please dont say such a crap comment buddy
If you have less than 1k hours then all I can say is eventually it will click. If you have more than 1k hours then perhaps change your playstyle.

But it does. Surviving for survivors counts as a win, and killing for killers counts as a win. No other factor is taken into account. That's what lowers/increases the MMR. If you "change your goals" you better have very, very low standards, because your MMR will plummet into the underworld, where there's a blendette and 2 megs having a picnic in a bush.
My only goal is bp and I tend to have earned the most when I play survivor even if I die, which is often.

just to lose a tthe end ? because thats what happens, and god forbid i get caught first, bc some ********* will unhook me right in front of the killer
This game has no real win conditions. It is what you decide a win is. Change your goals and the frustration dissapears
-
Even if your team is getting destroyed you can earn plenty of bp saving and healing them. Be a hero and be fearless
-
This feeling is intended. Frustration is the goal. Counter this by trying to use perks that synergize and focus on actions that give you blood points. If they escape just try to learn from the experience and take solace that even the best killers lose games sometimes.
-
This was answered as you just need to get to level 1 of the P3 to get the reward.
-
If you are just planning on ambushing an injured survivor trying to get a medkit in the basement it will probably work since you will be notified before they can start locking every locker.
-
I would get all the perks. No reason to lose your items to prestige when the new prestige will not punish you in that way.
-
Faster games will benefit us all. I hope they also make the end game collapse automatically when the last gen is completed.
-
Give us more perks that affect BP gains for specific actions like ending chases quickly, using powers effectively, or survivor support actions like team heals. Encourage good gameplay by bribing us. More options would mean more perk variety.
-
It can feel unfair but SWF is the gauntlet all killers must face in order to get better. They can teach you things about the game. There are patterns you will eventually recognize. Survivors' desire to play together keeps this game going. You can still earn plenty of points and learn new things in defeat. The stars will align in some of your matches. You will take advantage of a mistake and victory will be yours. Even the best killers lose sometimes to good solo teams. 6 year old game is bound to have many experienced players so either way you will face strong teams.
-
The best strategy for those who have never prestiged is to get the rest of the perks unlocked asap on the characters that matter to you to maximize the auto prestige.
I am so glad I have resisted prestiging since 2016 and only have 100 or so bloodwebs to go to reach all perks all killers. I have always favored perks over skins and not getting the perks taken away as punishment for prestiging will encourage everyone to do it.
-
Faster matches are a good thing and the lore favors killers putting on a bloody show.
-
Alien, The Thing, Event Horizon, Pandorum
-
I rather earn more bp by not ending matches early for a "win". This is a hide and seek game, not a murder simulator. I understand the desire to be a killer from the movies, but you can have more fun and create incredible moments if you reset your expectations.
-
If you expect every survivor to have it then you take away the surprise factor that makes it strongest on first use. Move your mouse up and down when you get close to bait it out and use perks and add ons that affect exhaustion. It is strong but can be countered.
-
Every time a new killer comes out I force myself to use only their perks until I get adept. I then reward myself by being able to use all perks. I find it a fun challenge. If you just equip the perks and play normally it will eventually happen.
-
I searched my name on youtube and found a video from 2016 of me getting facecamped by a Wraith who was hitting me over and over on the hook :)
-
It can only match you with who is currently playing. This game is so old it is not so common to come across new players regardless of your MMR.
-
Live forever, botany knowledge, leader, kindred
Points, faster healing, unhooks, gates, totems and team info
-
If knowing hook states is important to you then pay attention to the status indicator when hooking. Although some killers would use the information to spread the pain, most would use the information to prioritize who to chase and hook out the game.
-
Imagine a world where they were all very good at the game and understood it like the fans.
-
The cycle of revenge is by design. The devs created this as an experiment in human empathy and ruthlessness. I recognize this and take a break after every killer match.
-
Good advice. Time to fire up Myers!
-
I prefer aura reading advantage or denial and chase perks myself. I remember seeing really good players running old Ruin and thinking to myself "they could totally win without Ruin" but it was "insurance". I never liked perks that survivors have control over so I used it 2x in 2300 hours. It may have made my games harder but I never got used to the extra time it gave those Ruin players. Faster games and more efficiency.
I do agree with OP that certain perks and situations can make the game much easier in both roles and we should keep that in mind to keep our egos in check.
-
The thing out of reach is the source of your desire. Take it away and boredom sets in.
-
The balance between empathy and greed is the challenge of the solo queue.
-
In this game, anything can happen. Especially in the end game. In either role, your opponent can make a series of decisions that changes the outcome. Never give up and magic will happen.
