Just having Agitation on will normally be enough to beat them to a reasonably close hook even with breakout.
-
It seems to be affecting us all.
-
It is a mind game. Use perks that support your playstyle and try to group perks that synergize. For example, sloppy butcher and nurses calling synergize with monitor and abuse on low terror radius killers. Go in with a plan or just go with the flow. Try to have fun and earn BP no matter the outcome. Take a break after every match. Stretch. Breathe. Uninstall

Laurie Legendary skin would solve it

In 2300 hours I disconnected once in 2017 as a nurse on Haddonfield. After that, I decided that I will keep any hard-earned blood points by staying until the end no matter the role. I never understood playing hard and then disconnecting to lose all those blood points. The game cannot function if everyone who is having a bad game just leaves.
-
I liked it better when it was not a 100% chance. Made it spicy
-
My go-to is haha

I personally do my best to make each match fun in the ways you described. Showcasing skill with a 4k without gen slowdown perks is a great way to challenge yourself. Having empathy for the other side by not tunneling early is good. It makes you feel honorable and clean. It will also lead to more bloodpoints.
Expecting them to play by your rules or be grateful for your mercy is folly. It is not personal. It is the killer's burden.
-
It makes sense for his own map to be favorable to his power.
-
Fearmonger might be good as survivors will not realize how close they are to others without aura reading. This might negate the spread-out counter. I have not played new Legion yet but will give it a try when I do!

Like,
once he fills his power, gets a hook and uses it he can just:
Run around fast, have instadown, big lunge, curve around walls while sliding on them as if they are made of butter, destroy pallets with it,
and unless the survivors instantly heal, the map is just filled with red orbs for him..
It takes a lot of playtime to get good with Oni and pulling off his power can be challenging. Take solace that you will not be facing him every other match.

I have been playing Hag since release but I am busy loading up perks on newer killers and getting better with them. I mastered her a long time ago and so only bring her out for daily or rift challenges.
I wish the game would show us how many hours or matches we played as each killer.
-
Those narrow corridors were made for phantasm traps. May Hag heaven rest in peace.
-
I would focus on BP and get those WGLF stacks. Even if the killer is destroying you can get some altruism and boldness. Lose the desire to escape and death will not be as bitter.
-
With a game this old it is hard to avoid experienced players. I would make getting BBQ on all the killers you play the first priority and only use killers who have the perk. Killer is not worth the work without it. I focus on blood points and do not care so much about match results. I spread the pain and try to give everyone a good game.
If they can get out before I sacrifice them all I do not take it personally because I know each match is a unique set of perks, items, add-ons, player skill levels, and map iterations. Hide your red light, do not take their bait, and walk fearlessly through pallets. Try to have fun!
-
During my very first match as a survivor on Oct 8th, 2016 I unhooked someone after the gates were open and then jumped out the hatch.
I only know the date from the achievements but I do remember the match lol
-
I have been playing Hag since release and only ever use Trap setting speed and Range add-ons for the most part.
-
I have an Artist daily so I will "test" it
-
I find it hard to start up the game sometimes but once I get into a match I get into it.
It can be fun and exciting. Especially if you do not stress about a particular outcome, do your best, and just go with the flow.
-
I just played a few matches as Mike on Haddon and would have to agree. Good runners on the survivor team but it did not matter. Hook saves on the street are very exposed with long sightlines. Windows are strong but Bamboozal limits loop potential pretty well. Something here for all killers.
-
I agree his daily should be changed or at least lowered to 3 or 4 full shreds. Something that can be accomplished in one match.
-
I am playing again after my latest break but I stopped after stretched res, cheating, and boons were all happening at once. I am back for now but I play way less.
-
Dead dawg saloon is where I got adept Blight. It is perfect for him.
-
Just listening to the sounds of wounded survivors and the sounds they make when killers hook and hit them makes people horny.
-
I may just try to go back to using victor to jump healthy survivors so I can down them with Charlotte. That would solve the switch issue in a way by reducing the need to switch at all. Twins daily requires downs by victor though...
-
I will give Legion and Ghost another chance after the patch but still have plenty of fun with Wraith, Trapper, Mike, Fred, and Clown.
-
If I down the 3rd and see the 4th I will likely go for it. Otherwise, I hook.
-
I agree it feels bad but I have a feeling they tested faster switching and it resulted in the Twins dominating a bit too much. They have to figure out how to make the switch feel better.
Maybe a bot victor/charlotte that stays close to the other? The switch would not be so bad if the other was close by.
-
I look at it like the Entity has all of us in an arena and wants a good show. Give the entity a good show and stop worrying about the outcome.
-
You are correct that as a killer gains experience they can see patterns and know how to react. Recognizing a good runner. Understanding when you are being pulled from generators to a dead zone, not focusing on any particular survivor, and just reacting to what develops. Remember where the dead zones are and hide your red light. Pay attention to status indicators when hooking. Learning and paying attention to your killer power and perk cooldowns and noise indicators.
The problem is maintaining that level of brain focus for several matches in a row can be draining. Go hard in your matches but take frequent breaks. Or you could just meme
-
If you focus on just having fun then you win no matter the outcome!
-
Dead hard is annoying but makes survivor fun for a lot of people. Killers have perks and add-ons to counter all exhaustion perks. If you choose to not prepare for the likely possibility you will be facing multiple exhaustion perks then that is on you. Killers still win plenty of matches even though Survivors run exhaustion perks.
-
Just running Agitation is usually enough to outrun them to a hook. Pyramid head also has a perk that punishes body blockers by preventing healing for a while. I had a Pyramid Head game today where I noticed I was about to be swarmed so I dropped and caged the survivor. It makes games more exciting when they fight you. Sometimes they mess up!
-
Back when buying skins was not a thing, having bloody clothing was a nice advantage for survivors at least. I have never prestiged after 2300 hours and still do not have all perks on all killers and only about 5 survivors over level 50. Even without prestiging the grind is enormous. Just buy or shard the skins you want.
-
Most of the players still playing will be experienced. Matchmaking can only do so much.
-
I think it should show the player's devotion levels.
-
The first killer that came to mind was Plague. Then I stopped the thought process to avoid the horror.
She is like a Warhammer 40k Elite Nurgle boss spreading disease and biofluids.
-
I play all killers but have a fondness for Michael and Hag. Dwight is my main as he is the OG and I remember unhooking someone and escaping through the hatch on my very first DBD match in 2016.
-
I focus on blood points and having a good time and it makes the role less "dreadful". I go into matches with a goal related to a daily or a rift challenge, or I am trying out a new combination of perks. I spread myself around and do not take survivor antics personally. This old game is filled with players with thousands of hard-earned hours of experience. No way to avoid them so try to learn to hide those red lights.
I go with the flow and try to enjoy myself. Otherwise, what is the point of playing this game?
-
DBD is a mind game and designed to frustrate. A never-ending cycle of heroism and revenge.
-
Imagine if you could only use dead hard if you also used no mither
-
I don't know how many hours you have played killer, but after sacrificing thousands of survivors the real joy is to be found in the chase and being able to break a team's plan. Being toxic does not yield many blood points so I avoid that playstyle.
Daily and Rift challenges give me a reason to play so I focus on that.
-
DBD has been out for years and the population of experienced players has increased. Even if you take a break you are going to face players that know what they are doing.
Think about what went wrong and try to adapt, but in the end, maps, killers, perks, opponents, and offering choices are a gamble. Just do your best and focus on blood points.
-
It makes a team stronger but this game is so old you are dealing with veterans either way. Experienced players already know the game so well that even solos can seem coordinated. Consider it hard mode and do your best.
(They tell each other lies too. I cannot tell you how many times I watched a match from the survivor side and they made wrong calls to each other.)
-
I wish we had stats on what each of our killers has accomplished. Sacrifices of each survivor character, maps played on, matches and time played, and match results. Give us data!
-
I am a killer main and I agree it should just happen and not require the skill check *unless it is during EGC :)
-
I normally open the gates if they survive that far to ensure the timer starts. I will try to kill them but sometimes I use my killer power, break pallets, search for hatch away from the gates and try to take advantage of any taunting mistakes. They cannot help themselves so just plan for it.
-
I have been trying it with Undying and never seem to see any survivor auras around totems. If it showed all totem locations the perk would be so much more useful.
-
If you play normally and do not focus on getting a merciless killer victory it will just happen naturally. Eventually, the right map, circumstances, and survivor combo will happen for you. Take a break after every match. Taking a break from the game is also valid.
-
Only allow the use of the required perks until the achievement is completed. /s
If those perks are on, and you are playing normally, it will eventually happen.
Every time a new killer comes out I force myself to only use their perks until I get adept. Unlocking the use of normal perks is my "reward". It is a fun way to get it done.
