  • Maybe I know what you mean. I am used to play on PS5, but want to switch on PC. I am constantly failing skill checks now, cause the input is "too early" for me on PC…

  • Would love that too. It is just so much fun and refreshing!

  • I has two cheaters today, few sweats, but surprisingly some very nice and fair killers (means, not tunneling and WE all got decent points even when everybody died). But my biggest surprise was that nice Skull Merchant that let three of us escape (they could have destroyed us with her build, gens took forever. I also thought they hated us - or me -, cause they were hitting me on hook a few times the first time I got hooked lol).

  • As for recording evidence, I dunno about other consoles or PC, but on PS5 you can record footage from, I think, what happened 3 minutes before. Did so with a hacking Hillbilly today and reported him then.

  • Love it, survivors should just do gens while someone is getting chased/tunneled, but when survivors last longer than 30 seconds survivors are OP

  • MMR needs to go. The overall performance should matter, not kills/escapes.

  • @Hexling said:

The second they disable MMR is the second DBD will be a fun game again.

This, plus the removal of the pip system. Guess we only have to wait five years for it, but hey, at least we all can buy cool outfits.

  • Well, being toxic got you the hatch. Thanks for the reminder of why to not touch this game anymore though.

Also, doesn't it kinda count as working with the Killer what you did?

  • New Yui skin?! Dammit, don't tempt me paying more money to Sony and coming back to this game after all 😂 also I am pretty certain the other one is Jane.

  • Same here. When I escape I don't feel much about it. When I get killed I don't feel much about it either. Only a slug build still annoys me (Solo Q here). The amount of times I uninstalled and installed the game one day later is ridiculous by now. Though I don't have any fun at all and, like you, actually don't feel much about it anymore I still am kinda addicted? Why else would I install over and over again, only to be reminded how unfun it is. It's either the tunnel fest or gen rush fest, both so incredibly boring. Every game feels the same. I (gladly) play on Play Station and due the price increase for PSN (which is required for online games) I won't be able to play soon anymore anyway since my abo is about to finish and I won't renew it. I'll be finally free from the DBD curse lol

I do hope you find your happiness in DBD again though.

  • This is one of the reasons I uninstalled the game again. The past days I encountered more killers with a slug build. Dull Merchant, Slugakos and the best one was the Nurse who downed me and let the last survivor, a bot, wiggle free and though they passed me a few times the Nurse just did not hook me. Being downed, getting up only to get downed again the entire game is so much worse than tunneling.

  • I agree. I hate how only escapes and kills are accepted as a win. It often feels really unfair and knowing you go lower in MMR because of a tunneler or because a "great" teammate (and depip then too) just feels not good. I really miss the old ranking system. I gave up playing this game, though I sometimes watch streamers playing it. I was really excited for the Alien chapter, but I feel how this game is affecting me mentally and I just have to stop. I hope the MMR and depip system will be gone someday, also kills and escapes not be counted as a win anymore... I'd try to play again then. The rest of you, I hope you have good games and fun in this game!

  • The fact self-care is still used this much really disturbs me.

  • Few years ago we didn't have Dull Merchant and the other boring 3 gen killers (I don't care, I kill myself on hook as soon as I am against them, I have no time to waste 30 or more minutes for one match. I also never blame anyone killing themselves on hook when facing them). Also, when you see no one is doing anything besides crouching somewhere or only touching chests and totems then there is no need to stay in a match. It's unwinnable anyway.

  • @Star99er said:

Typically they don’t reveal the new chapter/ptb til tome 3, we got awhile. Personally I’d like a Buffy the Vampire Slayer Chapter.

I second this! A Buffy chapter would be amazing.

  • Skull Merchant. The sooner the better. I don't care if she is rare, the moment I notice I am going against her I just wanna DC and eat the penalty instead of being trapped in what feels like an eternal match.

  • She needed a buff, but this was bit too much. She should be able to condemn survivors only every two teleports.

  • Fart Merchant just has to go. Knight is already a pain in the butt, but she is just so so unbelievable boring and annoying. I'd go against 100 sweat Nurses, Blights or Weskers than being trapped in a game with Dull Merchant.

  • I will never understand why so called team mates have to play like jerks. How unhappy do one have to be in life to find happiness in giving another player a miserable time?

Yes to showing perks of your teammates at the very beginning if lobby dodging stays a thing (to avoid people running certain selfish perks...), yes to hiding prestige levels, yes to hiding names until the end result screen (and though it wasn't listed here, yes to removing Fart Merchant from the game).

  • I don't like the hook animation, I HATE the screams and the running animation when you escape is now bugged too.

  • This is why I want to see the perks of my teammates before the match begins. I and many others could leave the lobby and dodge a bullet this way.

  • I think the real problem is the definition of a win aka kills and escape, instead of the overall performance.

Of course, toxic people will always be toxic, No matter what, but imo many players would play more relaxed when they know that the full performance is important.

If you think Killers do not treat their victims horribly before finishing them off, I have some movie recommendations for you.

Also yes, you should behave like a serial killer. It is how you win. This game is not tennis and does not follow its rules for "sportsmanship".

Jesus Christ, this is a only a video game. You should behave like a normal human being.

Sometimes I really get the feeling some killer mains are living a disturbing fantasy with this game.

  • "Just give us...!" Give me! Give us killers!! Cause we killers are all so poor!

So many of you killer mains are so boring, seriously. I am glad for the few ones still playing this game for fun

  • As someone playing mostly solo (rarely in a duo) I would take what I get, however, Ii I had to choose I would take icons showing throughout the game.

And let's be honest... There are enough times Kindred doesn't help at all. I had it a few times I died on second hook with Kindred on, Killer was clearly chasing someone of the other side of the map, while the other two were only standing around. I guess I am just low mmr, cause I die most of the time. And Vice versa. The hooked one had Kindred, I was on the other side doing a gen while the other one got chased and the third one,? Busy standing around...nearby...

  • Well, for most people winning equals fun. I will never understand this sentiment, but I guess some just need their 4k or their escape, no matter what. It's also an issue that there are enough people who are letting out their anger and frustration in this game. It doesn't matter to them whether they play in a way even a little kid can do or not.

  • Some of you killer mains are seriously so damn boring. Like a robot you are thinking of the 4k. You all (survivors too) need to chill and try to have fun rather than that stupid "I NEED TO WIN OR ELSE 111" attitude. I will never understand this tryhard sweat thinking. Do people need it for their ego? For attention? Jeez

  • The game itself is lots of fun, it's the sweaty tryhards ruining it. The devs are doing a very good job.

  • Everyone, let us play like this and hide until the killer gives up.

Joke aside, I hope I will never or seldomly be in a game with such selfish players with absolutely no sense of teamplay. Play killer If you want to fck up your team so badly. So boring.

  • I know an even better stragedy: Have fun and don't play like a d*ck. Works for both sides

  • Someone with the name "DeleteSWF" and a killer perk as an icon makes a threat about survivors shouldn't ask for heals. Ok. In case you are serious: I hope I'll NEVER have you in my team. I absolutely doesn't need someone who doesn't know when to heal and when not (and people here wrote absolute good situations WHEN you can and should heal). I bet you are the first who asks for a heal or you are one of these useless people using self care.

  • @Exxodus21 said:

This would just be abused to block players that beat you or people that don't play the way others want them to (i.e. a survivor that that waits for you to die on your last hook so they can find hatch instead of trading and both of you dieing).

Uhm, yeah, that is why some people would love being able to block, even when it means longer time to queue up. That's on them then, but personally I wouldn't mind if it means to get good games.

  • I think it depends... I honestly don't understand when someone DC's after a (fast) first down. I do understand the urge to disconnect, but in past I had plenty of games where I went down within a minute, but escaped in the end. I also understand the urge to disconnect when you face a certain killer (looking at you Pinhead), but that's just bad luck and no reason for a DC.

NOW... what I DO understand is when you get hooked and no one bothers to come to get you, maybe being busy self caring for 100 years at the very corner of the map while the others are just standing around, doing nothing. Why give them extra more time? I also understand a DC during a slug fest with knockout. This is even worse than tunneling imo.

But saying the game is too killer sided and that's why someone DC's... why even load in into a match just to disconnect within the next minute? It sounds like they intended to DC.

This is an excellent case study in why MMR and escape rate should not directly correlate.

I don’t want to be handed free wins because I’m coming off a stretch of games in which my teammates couldn’t have been more useless.

I want to make meaningful decisions, and see my actions reflected in the outcome of a match—not just for myself, but my team.

    THIS!

I won't come back until they actually change this. I think it is the only way to make survivors finally do things and use their damn brain instead of hiding and doing nothing. Also, being killed wouldn't matter anymore (just if you get tunneled and cannot do sxhit of course) and I think this would be huge step into the right direction. The whole match needs to be rated and not only an escape, this is just utter bs.

I tried to play on PC yesterday, cause I saw I still had it installed (usually I played on console)

In one match there were only two gens left and then the killer got his 4k, which was fine, cause I didn't loop well, the Kate didn't allow me to heal her even with we'll make it and other mistakes. Well, the Claudette had 5k points... With 2 gens left lol the game thinking I am just like that Claudette is just nuts.

It is the other way around too. Sometimes I played really bad and my teammate so damn good, but we all get killed. How is it fair for the better teammate to be put on the same pedestal as me if they played so much better?

This escape=win, 4k=win is so unbelievable boring and narrow minded.

  • Maybe cause there is nothing to be proud about. Every braindead person can do it.

(I am talking about camping and tunneling at 5, 4 or 3 gens)

  • Yes, I even uninstalled the game now. At first I didn't mind the changes at all, sometimes I had even good games and great teammates. Unfortunately I am a very altruistic gamer and this means I am climbing down the MMR hell pretty fast and then I didn't seem to be able to win even one game anymore, cause of tunneling, people giving up or an immediate dc. Guess it is my own fault for playing that way, but I rather see my teammates escape than me, BUT... sometimes it would be nice to make it too.

I also will never forget this toxic DS who thought it's funny to waste my time by carrying me around and acting like he'd give me the hatch. He couldn't find the damn hatch and I grew really tired of being carried around. In the end he found it, dropped me and closed it. I got finally hooked and he just nodded at me. Guess he was angry cause I was the only one doing gens lol I feel like there is more toxic ######### going on now and I am just fed up.

  • Are you saying this as a survivor or killer? (though I must admit I don't miss the 4 minute gen rushes as a survivor too, cause it's just boring as heck. But a game that takes almost 30 minutes is quite boring too.)

  • I played and loved it. It's like these good ol' trashy B slasher movies and it's so fun to kill them all in the second round (I always try to keep them alive when I play them first). They really did a great job, and the actors are amazing (big Ted Raimi fan here x3)

  • I PLAY TO WIN AND DON'T GIVE A SHXT XPU HAVE FUN OR NOT! I WANNA WIIiiiIIIIN 😭😡

That is how you sound like. You don't care about other people's fun, so don't be so butthurt over other people destryoing your fun by dc'ing. Why should they care?

People want to play the goddamn game and not get tunneled out after two minutes with 5 or 4 gens left. And when one gets camped and no one does gens I also understand a dc or suicide on hook. I honestly don't blame anyone doing it. Not all are entitled, they just want to play the damn game.

Saying you have fun by winning is not very mature either tbh. This is not e Sports, you don't play a tournament and win money.

  • Some things I don't like (like going against Thana Legion or Plague is so damn exhausting now, you really feel the time you need with gens there), but others I don't really mind. I am just sad the BP bonus isn't a thing anymore. I still like to use WGLF, because I usually play quite team orientated.

I must admit I didn't want to play at all after all the complaints I read, but I wanted to give it a try, because I wanted to see if Solo Q really was so much worse than before. So I played for some hours yesterday and today and... Tbh my matches haven't been very different... Tunneling and camping were still a thing, but not more than before. I died because of it, but also because of selfish teammates or my own mistake... So... DBD just being DBD.

But I must say I also played with really very good survivors too! Really caring for the other one and trying to help in any way. I also played with really nice and kind killers too (thinking about the Blight who let the Yui get the hatch today, it made me so happy to see! Or the Blight allowing me to do a bit more things before mori'ing me <3) It is a mixed bag as usual.

So... I actually still enjoy playing Solo Q. There are times a felt fed up and will feel this way again, but then I just take a break, play something else and come back again. I never, really NEVER, go into a match with the expectation of winning, even less now. And I don't care (ok, sooooometimes I'd like to go through the gate, but this happens not that often and I am ok with it). I just want to chill on a gen, do totem, unhook and protect my teammates when they play fairly, have a good chase (though chases are my weak point...). And... I want to show off my cosmetics 😂

Anyway... nothing really changed for me... but I do believe many have a hard time atm and I hope they'll have better luck with killers soon. Like not getting tunneled so fast, no camping at 5 gens... Sometimes one is just so damn unlucky to get tunneled literally every match they go into (I know it, cause it happened to me a few times too) and you just get so frustrated and want to quit (and I am honest, I also can throw a fit about it, but then I know I have to stop playing for a while). But then you have these amazing games with amazing teammates and that's when you remember why you play this game - to have these rare moments. At least I feel this way, I know not everyone or maybe only a minority does.

What also quite helps me to chill more about being tunneled/camped/bad teammates, I noticed, is to immediately leave the game after I died and go on to the next.

I only wish a solution for both sides could be found, but I fear this will never happen.

    I am sorry for this long text ^^;

Killers that keep letting survivors win are doing nothing but messing with the numbers. When killers do this they just pad the metric that the devs are looking at to decide how to buff or nerf things. I personally will waste a killers time instead of them allowing me to escape.

Please do so and increase the kill rate so survivors get a buff soon :) Merci ❤️

  • When anyone is saying only survivors are melodramatic I will just link them to this thread. It's amazing, peak comedy here, I salute you. I'll never understand how killers feel SO offended by something that actually looks so hilarious. When I see someone tbagging I always think they have to poo or pee really urgently (that's why I call tbagging pbagging). Oh well, enjoy your Disney villain role

  • "there are perks to help stop that"

Nope, there are not. The perks can help to stay in the game for a few seconds longer, but when a killer wants you to tunnel out there is no way to stop them. Only chance is a SWF or a REALLY GOOD team in Solo Q to help you out. (and no, I never used DS, yes, I tried DH and that perk just wasn't for me and so I used it like 1% in all my 2 1/2 years)

  • @Gary_Coleman said:

It doesn't make a lot of sense, huh? Do the objective and get the least amount of bp. Even if you're unhooking, being chased and healing teammates on top of it.

This is why I would love to see what every teammate did for how long at the end of the game. Sometimes you see a teammate not having much points and you think all they did was hiding when in fact they tried to do gens. (I also sometimes feel I was useless, cause i have less points, but then I remember I actually sticked on a gen)

  • It is absolutely doable, you just have to stop opening when the first light is about to go on and then hide. When the killer comes and goes back to the other gate you go back and open the door fully. However, it is absolutely no guarantee you will escape that way. It depends on how far the gates are from each other and what killer you are facing.

  • Or they reduce the time repairing a generator (because yes, it can become boring as hell) BUT add some other task to open the gates to compensate the reduced time repairing a gen. I have no idea what this other task could be though :3

  • Generally I'd say killers who don't tunnel the sxit out of someone at 5 gens or someone you can goof around with (and I'd HAPPILY sacrifice myself for them then, ok? I do NOT care about escaping). Other than that, I personally think it's fun to play against stealth killers (except Pig, because the bear traps are annoying as hell). BUT everyone has their own preference, so I think this question cannot be really answered.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

    Please.

Killers said they will never tunnel/camp if survivors could not have second chance perks.

Killers said they will never tunnel/camp if gens took longer to finish.

Now all survivor meta destroyed and generators have really long time to finish with anti-gen builds. But killers are still camping and tunnelling.

If x happens the killers will stop camp/tunnel seems to me just an excuse.

If survivors start the game hanging on the hook killers will stop tunneling :D Let us face it, tunneling and camping (at 5 gens) will never stop. Never. These people who tunnel at 5 gens only have their 4k in mind. Guess they need it to feel validated and to feed their own small ego

People want killers to act like cute little pets, always prioitizing the other party's enjoyment over their own. Winning is the most enjoyable thing and as it goes, killing survivors is no matter which way u do it. The only reason u are angry and u stroke post on the forums is because u lost. Either quit the game or consider improving at it. Honestly if u managed to get tunnelled and lose against nemesis on the game it screams skill issue.

"Winning is the most enjoyable thing."

I really, honestly and genuinely pity anyone with this mindset.
