If you d do that that would prove nothing as swf would most likely crush killers.
You also proved nothing by showing a 4k with a tryhard insta-down build. But you posted it anyway.

I could go make a post right now called “The game is not survivor sided” and have a screenshot of a 4 man SWF escape. These kinds of posts just create meaningless arguments.
Y have a 2k+2 escape screenshot. I'll make a post to say the game is balanced. LMAO...

I guess I haven't seen one yet in my 2k hrs. Guess I'm just lucky.
I have 4k+ hours, they're rare. I have seen 3 at most. They're just disgusting, the curves they make feel like cheating. Keep in mind, there are hillbillies that know how to curve, but these guys are insane, they do curves on insane loops, it feels really unfair and frustrating.
Map pressure? they insta down a guy in 10 seconds, go to another, insta down the other... They don't even slug, camp or tunnel, they don't need to at all. I hope you face one soon to know what I'm talking about.

I'm not. You are. Creating a thread about a 4k (like nobody 4ks in this game and you're somehow special) using an insta down killer with 2 insta down perks, turning addons, slugging and saying the game is ez.
Jeez... are you memeing or something?

You cannot take a corner as fast as a survivor while you are hugging the wall. Let alone with a saw.
I guess everyone has their strengths. But I'm Rank 1 survivor (not that it means much anymore) and my favorite FAVORITE killers to go against are the ones with saws. Because they are the most likely to respect the pallet a few times. Then change it up and smack em with a few of they start to catch on. But perhaps that's just me? I like to be chased tho.
For what you're saying, you have NEVER faced a hillbilly main then. I went against one a few months ago, my team was all 3k+ hours like myself, he had speed limiter and didn't use M1. We all died, 3 gens left, he didn't even have ruin.
You like to face bad or decent hillbillys, those are your favourites killers to go against. Trust me, you don't want to face a main hillbilly more than 2 times in a row, it's boring, you died the moment you joined the lobby.

A good Billy that knows how curve won't.
I agree, he also used 2 insta-down perks (HG and devour) and has an insta-down killer. LOL, tryhard much?
-
Oh, the streamer has more than 4k or 5k hours (and he's a survivor main) and the rest of the team have like 2k+ hours.
-
So... you 4k against a SWF.
Which proves... nothing, I 4k all the time against SWF using wraith (I don't even need an insta-down killer to 4k). And, sometimes, I lose too.
Yet, the game IS survivor sided.
Here's a 4k against a twitchy SWF with pig (granted, it was old ruin, but still) and not even tryharding a devour or haunted grounds nor ANY insta-downs. Just good old pressure.

Slugging would be more viable that fixing all 5 gens as no one would have unbreakable. Also no ds. No borrowed. No sprints. No dead hards.
It all depends on the situation, but yes, slugging would be a good option. Camping, patrolling the hook and tunneling would be good strategies too since, as you said, no DS and no BT. Again, all depending on the situation.
-
A Good nurse, hillbilly or spirit (and maybe Oni) could have a chance on a "NO PERKS" match.
But if survivors are decent and focus on gens (no NOED, no need for secondary objectives) and spread out and don't give the killer a snowball... ez game.
That's what's broken about this game, the base game mechanic is survivor sided.

According to WHO (world health organization) 250k - 500k people die worldwide from the regular flu. Now given a wear a tinfoil hat and take everything i read in the news with a very large grain of salt, going by the low ball number, then gool old regular flu kills more people in a year than the number infected by this new apocalyptic disease. By twice the amount. Minimum.
The world is shutting down over what appears to me to be a bad but in no way world shattering chest cold.
Yes people are dying. And that is a tragic thing. But keep in mind that people die every single day. From age, from unsanitary conditions, from starvation, from drug overdoses, medical malpractice, murder, terrorism, accidents.
Should we not ever have a double bloodpoint event because life happens?
I get not naming the coronavirus as an event to celebrate. (Mocked? Probably but not celebrated.)
Fact is, world is shut down. People are home. They are going to play games. Give people incentive to play this one. That's all that is being said. Just some are saying it more eloquently than others.
I see your point, however I don't understand the discussion about numbers. I mean, take the World Trade Center attack for example. 3k people died, and it was like 20 years ago. Is it OK for me to ask for a new skin? Lets say a "World Trade Center Huntress" skin (two smoking buildings instead of horns) because people are seriously asking for a "Coronavirus plague" skin. Something is not right here.
I mean, 9/11 was 20 years ago and it killed less people than the Corona, is it ok for me not to take it seriously because numbers or because people die every day?

So yes they should do something for us. But of course not call it Corona event or something like that. But fighting the virus event perhaps.
Again, I'm not asking people to be depressed and stare at a wall for 15 days, you can play DBD all you want. Why a BP event?
But as I said before, I agree not to call it "The Coronavirus Bloodpoint Fest!" or something like that, but maybe "Awareness Event" or something similar could work.

I'm done and just burned out by the game due to how the recent patches were basically a cluster ######### of crap.
I played 60% killer, and 40% survivor, and the recent patches essentially made the killer role exponentially harder to play, while making survivor somewhat of a breeze to play. The two worst patches was the utter disaster of the nurse nerf, and the ruin nerf. These two patches are the patches that killed the game for me.
The nurse was a killer that needed an add on rework, but not on the base kit. The basekit was balanced were the time you put in to learn and master the nurse, rewarded you equally. Now the Nurse is the opposite were the time and effort needed to learn and master doesn't equal the reward, where the reward is low. There was a ton of feedback from the ptb, yet they weren't even listened to, and decided to release the nurse in the most unfun way possible. The Nurse is an unfun and boring killer to play now, and when playing the survivor, playing against the reworked nurse feels boring, instead of exciting from the old nurse. Essentially this patch, really deteriorated the compassion for this game.
The Ruin nerf was the breaking point for me, where gen times were a problem, and ruin helped mitigate that problem for an opportunity to play fair (aka no tunneling, camping, slugging, or unfun add ons, unless I'm facing a 3 to 4 man SWF bully squad, then all fair play is off the table.). Also the fact that Ruin got nerfed because of new players, and apparently players who can't hit skillchecks (seriously if you are at red ranks and can't hit great skill checks, you shouldn't be there). The Ruin nerf made red ranks a sweat feast for killers against optimal survivors, and SWF, and a breeze as a survivor with optimal red rank teammates. The dev stream after the nerf, just added fuel to fire, when they said to expect to "Lose 3 gens in the early game". The ruin nerf just made about 80% of the killers unviable at red ranks.
The fact that you have survivors having a lot of second chance perks that cover up any mistake a survivor makes. Especially with the Unbreakable + DS combo where you are untouchable for a straight minute and don't get punished. I've been hit by DS at times where I don't even tunnel, in which I just down survivors too fast because they are potatoes.
Lets also mention how toxic some players can be and just attempt to bully you when attempting to have fun at the game. This game has the worst toxicity on a level I haven't seen before, especially from survivors. The amount of butthurt some players get just by being outplayed and the amount of spam they attempt to flood you with by just playing in a way someone doesn't like. I've been DDOSed by a survivor just because I slugged them.
The last thing that just annoys me is how the rate of survivor bugs get rapidly fixed compared to killer bugs. Survivor bugs like the DS bug, and the Basement bug got relatively fixed in a week or two, compared to the killer sound bugs, which have been going on for at least 3-6 months. We had bugs on the nurse, which made her unplayable there for months but still not fixed, but a DS bug can be fixed in at most two weeks? I'm sensing a pattern here.
I said in some previous posts that after I spent all my ebony and ivory moris on killers, I would quit after ruin was nerfed, and today is the day. I gave the Devs one last chance, and so far they shown me that a 2.5 sec sabo is fair, the toolbox "nerfed" ended up making toolboxes essentially mini-BNPs, and releasing a killer who is arguably worse than clown, despite the amount of feedback.
Currently, I'm find games like Minecraft, War Thunder, COD, and Plague Inc Evolved a lot more fun and enjoyable, and actually rewards you for putting in the time and effort to learn.
I'll still lurk around the forums, and watch youtube vids of DBD, and might come back if the game changes for the better, but for now I'm gonna spend my time and money on games that don't favor one side of the spectrum, and has a better community.
TL:DR: Burnt out from the game due to how crap the recent patches are, and how certain patches essentially deteriorated the game for me, and essentially killed it.
You're doing yourself a favor. Trust me.
If uninstalling it is not enough (and you keep reinstalling it and coming back) you can remove it permanently from your steam library (google it)
Good luck!

I’d be up for having a BP Hunt, if it means it’s going to create more awareness to stay safe.
There is a positive side to an event, yes it is unfortunate that there have been casualties and my heart goes out to those people all over the world who have lost someone due to this virus.... and I’d like to believe that we have the power to take care of ourselves by doing the right thing, and prevent it along the way. Maybe an event about the situation isn’t the way to go but maybe an event for BPs might keep some people indoors where it’s safe.
I think, as with everything else it is all about how you suggest something.
Yes, as I said before, something related to "Awareness event" could work. However, I don't think that would be the difference between people going outside and people staying inside. You'll be lying to yourself if you think that's the case. Maybe it would be the difference between people watching netflix and people playing DBD, but I don't think double bloodpoints would "prevent people from going outside".

Calling it coronavirus bloodpoint fest would not be good, especially with "coronavirus challenges".
Now if they came up with something like in order to encourage social distancing, we are making the game free + granting double bloodpoints, I don't think that would be an issue.
I have to agree. Calling it "Coronavirus Blood Hunt" is just stupid.
If they have or want to do a BP event, maybe the "Virus awareness event" or something like that would be less grotesque.

Sorry, you're right. I just find it difficult to ignore trolls. Back to the topic.

Title may be in poor taste, but then, we're playing a game about murdering people. A BP event would be nice, seeing as a lot of us are now stuck at home over this mass hysteria.

The idea is to keep peoples mind off that.
No. The idea is that "now that I have nothing else to do but stay home... well, BHVR, gimme double bloodpoints".
If you want to get informed, you'll stay informed.
If you want to turn off the TV and play videogames, do it, you don't need double BPs to do it.
Double BPs are not going to make you forget more about the issue, you just want free stuff for no real reason.

How are they going to call it? "The Coronavirus Bloodpoint Fest"? Keep in mind REAL people are dying right now.

If you see a mori, do gens. They're not overpowered if your team does not suck. Think of it as an increase in dificulty level.

The nerf that I liked the most was when the devs accidently broke the killer's chase music and you could hear survivors running into bushes to hide.
But since that was temporary and actually a bug, my favourite nerf was when they lightened Claudette's clothing so she couldn't hide in plain sight as easily.
I'd be really interested to hear what past nerfs filled your hearts with joy when you discovered them.

Uhh I was more baffled that you had that much emotional investment in the metric system.

Not really. Neither is superior to the other.
So, you're like the flatearther of the measurement units? you know the metric is WAY better, but you just don't want to aknowledge it?
Ok, I know it probably feels like an attack on you and on what you've learned as a child and somehow you have to be defensive. Somehow this bothers you, since you engaged in this discussion as soon as someone mentioned it and it bothered you that I "took a tangent" to say something you apparently don't like. But this is not the case, I'm not trying to hurt your feelings or something, the metric system is superior. In fact, I don't think the metric is superior, it's just that the imperial is SO inferior, like you have crazy units and relation that don't really make sense. Sorry mate, the metric is better, don't take it personal.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1131975#Comment_1131975
Did you really just go on a tangent about the superiority of the metric system?
No. I answered the OP question about how to complete the challenge, then I answered the comment by xGHOSTFACEx about "what a meter looks like in the game" explaining about how game engines and game development work, and then I wrote just a line about how great the metric system is (because it's a fact).
Don't you agree?
-
@xGHOSTFACEx said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1112172#Comment_1112172
American here. A lot of us know a meter is pretty much a yard or 3 feet (at least those who had “yard sticks” in school if they are still around). I think they meant what it looks like in game. It’s hard to judge the actual size, distance in game sometimes. I was wondering if the hills were “a great fall” but those seem to be only 12 feet (4 meters)
The question from the OP didn't really need a thread, just jump from the higher map and I'm sure you'll get it (Is it the hole in Hawkings 2nd floor?), but I'm pretty sure it works on coal tower or crotus prenn as well.
Also, I'm not sure about Unreal Engine, but in Unity 3D, the unit is the meter, and you, as a developer, should create (or scale) your models and everything in your game accordingly. I'm pretty sure Unreal Engine works the same way, so you can extrapolate the height of the characters. I think Leatherface is ROUGHLY 2m (maybe 1.9m, IDK), so let's say, 4m is rougly 2 bubbas stacked, there you go.
And that's why the metric system is so great, it works everywhere and it's easy to use :-D Could you imagine coding a videogame in feet, yards... OMG, I'm having a headache just by thinking about it. Nightmare fuel.

This game automatically breaks immersion by having killers with massive bladed weapons and otherworldly powers get stunned by planks of wood, and being less athletic and smart than a bunch of introverted teenagers, and you draw the line at people touching a pig mask?
You draw a line at a pallet?
