I really hope that the "Springtrap" in the background is just a crow on a rock and that some temp merely took this screenshot, threw the S by the bench in there, and now everyone at Behaviour is dying of laughter over all the theories the image caused within 0.1 seconds.

Damn, so many Strawmen in this thread I thought I was on a farm.

Lol, did you even read what I wrote?
Clearly, he was too busy looking upwards.
On a serious note, you gotta keep in mind what Survivors have in their hands, so that you don't slap a flashbang carrier on your way to the hook. Otherwise, take a step back and look upwards, away from it. There seems to be a tiny AoE where you get blinded regardless of what you do, but with little bit of attention, it's fairly easy to move out of it, as it really is rather small.
-
Imagine getting political over a dark image with twelve pixels at best.
Looking at that zoomed image of "Springtrap" we're getting 50 shades of gray lmao.

Do you feel the same about "bing bong boi" and "ping pong boi", or maybe "pupper gorgon"?
I might make a tier list one day, just you wait.
-
I personally have very little hope for a skill-based matchmaking in an RNG heavy game.
But yes, the current state is far from ideal.
-
Depends on the time of the day, but yes. It is like that sometimes.
-
But then, my following game had them? Did it bug out or something?
EDIT: Oh, Twitter says they've ran into issues or something. Well, it was an experience, I guess.
-
Here's a picture for those wondering, as I was about to make a thread myself.
-
The biggest issue is people spelling his name like that, thinking they're being funny.
-
I dodge all the lobbies. Literally every single one of them. I have 4 000 hours in this game and I've dodged 35 436 lobbies and counting.
You cannot stop me.

So wait just to clarify, the reason people wanted object changed over spine chill was because it was more "obnoxious and in your face about outplaying"? So....What im hearing is "I dont like people who can play better than me". I'm sorry but what is that reasoning?
I've never said I agree with it, rather this is what makes sense to me. The obnoxious and "in your face things" are always the ones that people complain about the most, no matter how strong or weak they are. Take the latest change to pallet validation, for example. A very similar situation, no matter how fair on unfair it is, people make 3 000 threads about being "robbed" and the like.

Right but you dont really need Object to tell you if you're versing a sfw. Nor did SWF even need to use it to track the killer cause they already have comms to go "hey man the killers chasing me" nor do they need Object to tilt you cause those type of 4 mans can already do that with many other perks. And just from personal experience going against it (back when those toxic SWF were more common) they almost never used it. SWF had old school DS, Iron Will, DH and Adren. Old Object was more of a gimmick, Spine Chill can be used when ever you want with no consequence.
Quick summery I guess: Toxic survivors don't need Old Object to be toxic cause they can make anything toxic. So changing a perk that was hardly used to useless doesn't sit well with me. Why don't we nerf every single perk in the game cause toxic SWF can make anything broken.
That's not really my point, though. If anything, I agree with you to a certain degree.
However, that doesn't change the fact that the answer to "Why is it that more people wanted an Object change, rather than Spine Chill change" is "Because Object was more obnoxious and in your face about outplaying you"
-
Leatherface has one of the best perks in the game, Barbecue & Chilli, so if you want to play any Killer at all, I would 100% go for him. Matter of fact, I'd ensure all of my Killers get this perk sooner rather than later, as it will ensure you have a steady supply of Bloodpoints for all of your other characters, on top of that, Leatherface is a really solid killer.
Ash on the other hand... While he is Ash Williams and that's enough of a damn reason, his perks are rather questionable when it comes to their actual use.
So if you love both of them equally, then practicality ought to skew things in Leatherface's favour.
-
Because happy brain juice goes brrrrrrrrrrr on a pallet stun.

@MrBuffalo said:
What baffles me the most is...People would have preferred Object get reworked instead of Spine Chill.
Well, that's due to the fact that Object made SWF even stronger than it already is, while being actively annoying to deal with. Sure, you can make the argument that Spine Chill is stronger, but more importantly it doesn't yell: "Lmao there's 4 of us on comms and we're here to try and tilt you".

Whenever I get bored and feel a bit cheeky, I grab the most hilarious Survivor build of all time: Flip-Flop, Power Struggle, Tenacity and Unbreakable.
For Killer, I've been finding Haunted Grounds+Undying combined with Devour Hope a lot of fun lately, it results in some genuine chaos that you rarely get to see otherwise, while still being strong enough to bring something to the table.
-
Someone once said that knowing which parts of the map are smeared in butter and which aren't is an important part of his skill ceiling.
And honestly? I felt that.
-
They better give Victor some Timbs.
-
The best suggestion I can give you, is to not focus on pips and ranks. I understand that for many players, hitting rank 1 for the first time is something that brings a great sense of accomplishment, but treating DbD as a competitive game is a major mistake, because it simply isn't. It's random, it's silly, it's often poorly balanced and again, it's extremely random at its core.
Take a step back and enjoy the chaos, or find something else to define your own value than pips, it really is the only way. Matter of fact, many players cheer when they depip, because it means they're just slightly less likely to face a Spirit that figured out how to use headphones, or a full gaming chaired 4 stack.
-
It's all just too complex, guys.

you know, healed by other takes the same time,(16seconds, 16seconds) so in bond case, that's not alternative option. just same.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2410693#Comment_2410693
so if SC is wasting time, so do healing others is also wasting time.
Yes, I've heard that terrible argument at least 15 times.
-
Another one of these?
Run whatever you want, nobody has the right to tell you otherwise.
But you can literally run Bond or brown medkit over self-care and get better results, giving you space to run other perks that make you a more efficient Survivor, that doesn't need to be healed 30 times in a single game.
-
... Nerf pig?

@Pilot said:
It's strong & annoying.
Even though some killers here would disregard this for the simple fact they can't delete keys / items anymore & camp them.
Deleting key users is more fun anyway.
-
Teletubbies better Mori with that eldritch looking hoover though. If Lala isn't choking a dude with the hose only to turn him into that weird pudding I ain't buying the DLC.
-
Nothing can ever beat the ol' Flip-Flop, Power Struggle, Tenacity and Unbreakable in terms of sheer fun.
-
Don't forget stuff like this!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9qg0KnE-A4 -
I mean, what is there to discuss? You've met entitled morons. It is what it is.
-
Letting Killers know whether they're facing a SWF would help a lot, since it's no fun for anyone when a Killer brings meme perks for fun only to meet four dudes with LED gaming chairs.
Matter of fact, even as a Survivor I'd love to know who is with who, so I can adjust perks and my expectations accordingly.
And yes, lobby dodging would be a concern, but eh...
-
I think the perk is a fantastic display of something people often seem to forget. Anything that can be abused for an advantage, will be abused. Which is why pausing the wiggle timer when the Killer is close to the hook and other big brain ideas are worthless.
And yes, the term abused is being used rather loosely in this case, though that doesn't change the fact it's a defensive perk that sees a major use in aggressive plays.

Honestly with trickster in the game I think cringe is allowed
This is the largest IQ take in this entire thread, my man graduated from Harvard with honors.

Because it's funny when Survivors miss the reverse Doctor skillcheck.

I mean, yeah. But the roar is very close to the sound they've used in the first Saw movie, during the parking lot jumpscare specifically.

It does get annoying when survivors don’t cleanse which is part of the reason people don’t play her. Still wish that she could get more love though because she’s incredibly underrated.
Started running Thana with Corrupt on her more often and that seems to generally motivate at least "that one person", that each team has, to cleanse. Fun stuff.

@Vampirox said:
why do you guys want a DH Nerf, SB is by far more powerful in running away from a deadzone area
Much like with the current pallet hit validation shenanigans, I think it's a matter of people feeling robbed, which is understandable. It's comparable to outplaying the killer all game, only to die to NOED, or Spirit winning chases by standing still. All of these things have a certain amount of counterplay, yes, but by design they "take" something away from the other side, hence the bad feel posts.
-
That video gave me depression. Again.

@GrimoireWeiss said:
I wonder why even bother playing survivor when you find more than half of the killers unfun to go against lol.
How else will they satisfy their need to complain?

@Mandy said:
I think everyone has their own opinions on what counts as a win to them. For me, it's 4 stacks of BBQ and 28k plus BP when playing killer. 20k plus when I'm playing Survivor because normally if I've scored well in a match, I've played fairly well in it. I care more about BP than kills or escapes and I'm not bothered by pips in the slightest, I don't even pay attention to the score screen to see whether I've pipped or not.
Honestly, getting a bunch of BPs, 4stacks of BBQ/WGLF AND losing a pip on top of that? Now that's a REAL win.
-
My man's got that fresh degree in economics

With more reason it will force the killer to respect a pallet in the looping zone.
Though respecting the pallet often results in a stun regardless since the Nemesis update, which makes the whole 50/50 rather annoying.
-
I wouldn't mind it as much if pallet stun also didn't have such a weirdly generous range from time to time since few patches ago.
-
As of right now, he barely stands.
-
The disconnects are for such ridiculous reasons, too. Had a wounded, no Iron Will having big brain "sneak up" on me as I was picking up a Survivor on a pallet, so I quickly flicked into a hit and that person instantly ragequit. Not to mention, that person also used a cake offering.
I used think that the DC penalty didn't matter all that much as well, but these last few weeks definitely proved me wrong.
-
Because you're throwing knives into walls half the time, due to poor aim and you're chasing survivors with your knives out for way too long, making them outrun you with ease.
Again, you make a good point and I agree he's definitely meant to be more of a spam character, but this really isn't a good way to show it.
-
I get the point you're trying to make, but this video really isn't a good way to make it.
-
It just feels like everything about him has been pushed to the extreme. Now he's much more oppressive at short loops, dead zones and camping, but also even more pathetic at jungle gyms, map pressure, general chases and time efficiency. Honestly, it's almost impressive how they've managed this.
