  • Killers this year have been stronger than before, killers kill rates through the roof, EGC which now massively favours the killer, DC penalty which impacts survivors more, gave most of the adjustments to Ghostface which killers wanted to the point that he's flat out broken for survivors now, instaheals nerfed into the ground....

Change Ruin though and oh no now they're massively survivor biased!!!

  • Look at some of the replies in this thread. This explains it all.

You get poor players who can't get kills any other way so they tunnel and camp people to death because they believe "you can't win if you don't tunnel" and they never play survivor so they don't realize how much it ruins the game for other people.

  • It's the buff killer mains always wanted. Some shitlord disconnects, next one suicides on hook, last two can't just dc they need to stay and feed the killers ego for the 4k. Slugging if necessary.

  • "we are aware of it and hope to provide an update in the near future"

    Here's a scenario for you.

Match starts and someone used a shroud so we will start together. We start in the killer shack. Survivor 1 runs to the pallet and throws it down, then crouches in front of it. Survivor 2 blocks the other door. Both teabagging. Survivor 3 and 4 move to leave through the window. Legion shows up as survivor 4 is making his way through the window and survivor 1 and 2 are using the point emote at 4. Killer thinks 4 did something wrong and goes for him. After he is hooked 1 and 2 run up and take turns engaging the unhook animation. They do this into struggle and block survivor 3 from the hook. Survivor 4 gives up and dies.

Survivor 3 goes to gen and starts working. Survivor 1 and 2 run over and throw down pallets nearby. Survivor 3 ends up in a chase with Legion and is ultimately caught. Survivor 3 does not give the other 2 a chance to repeat their earlier actions and suicides on hook. Tell me why he should be punished?

This happened to my wife and I last night. After the match, in which 1 and 2 hppoed in and out of lockers until caught, they laughed claiming to be killer mains who are sabotaging whiney survivors.

And this is yet another reason I prefer the killer role. You don't have to depend on idiotic strangers for success.

No, between that experience and toxic killers, I don't agree with penalizing hook suicide.

This is why I’ve switched to killer only now. Not worth playing survivor anymore.

Only toxicity that bugs me is getting coldwind offerings every couple of games but in that case I just play toxic myself and camp.

While i think a dc penalty is a good thing i also think this game isnt stable enough to have one, yet.

All this current penalty is going to do is drive people away who are being penalized for the game dcing them out. Our que times are about to get even longer.

Ive had one 5min ban for the game dcing me, got to say it kinda p*ssed me off. Happens again and bans get longer i certainly wont be hanging around wasting my time on a game that punishes me for its mistakes.

Remember if you experience a second within a 24 hour period that counts as second dc and stops the timer from resetting. Therefore one more in a 24 hour period and its a 15 minute ban for you.

Come to think of it not sure if its even confirmed as a 24 hour reset. All I know is that a second dc within a certain period i.e 24 hours stops it from resetting.

Great system. Totally doesn’t punish people for server or game issues at all.

Watch everyone downplaying this change their tune when the new update is out and a new issue arises which affects them.

I wouldn't mind a 4th health state you could recover into. Maybe you could stand back up but be too injured to run.

Besides that, slugging isn't toxic. You can escape while slugged, have several slugging related perks for killer or survivor, and its a baiting/slowdown mechanic for killers.

There's also valid reasons not to pick someone back up. Wiggle timer after dropping someone is almost maxed, or they have DS.

The OP specifically states that it’s slugging and being left to bleed out.

Slugging is fine. You’ll get picked back up eventually.

It’s slugged and being left to bleed out for the full 4 minutes by toxic players that is the issue. I’ve seen people do this on stream before. Sounds like some toxic players are doing it to try and bait survivors into disconnecting. Theres no hope then, nothing you can do, nobody to rescue, just sit and wait for 4 minutes until the game ends.

Spirit gives you no information. Half the chase is just her standing still. How can Billy feel cheaper than Spirit when you have absolutely no feedback on the Spirit’s movement? You can clearly see what Billy is doing and how to plan your next move.

You’re not predicting anything the Spirit is doing, she’s predicting you and you’re at the mercy of whether she can hear you or not and whether she is a good killer. She can’t be looped for multiple generators if she’s good at tracking.

I know you don’t like going against Billy. Neither do I. I hate getting instadowned. It can feel a bit cheap but that’s just the way he is. There’s just no way that Billy feels cheaper than Spirit...and I am a Spirit main.

Because with Billy he will shred my team within about 60 seconds once he starts his snowball. Its very rare for that to happen as Spirit. Also mediocre spirits tend to struggle whereas mediocre hillbillys still can turn the game around in an instant and end it no matter how well the survivors were doing.

I guess I’m just good at predicting spirits. You stand at a loop and you know the first phase will be fake. They’re just going to observe you. You then get a feeling for when they’re phasing, you move position, even if you’re injured they likely still wont land on top of you. At which point you’ve dodged the hit and can run the loop, or better yet you’ve moved to another pallet/window entirely. Once she misplays she’s on cooldown.

Its hard to describe I guess you could say it is all guesswork but with experience and playing her a lot I’m often able to get inside that players head and read them like a book.

  • @Rivyn said:

Bud, one thing you need to learn is that, as a killer player, your enjoyment is not considered. Only survivors, since they spend more.

As if they haven’t pandered to almost every killer demand this year...

  • I’ve had 2 different pcs. One is bang up to date, fresh install. Its a common bug affecting everyone.

I mean the devs themselves have come out and acknowledged the bugs existence and how they’re aware of how bad it is but sure everyone else is wrong and its you with your magic PC that never experiences the bug that is correct.

    Don’t troll.

Define frequent, I NEVER get an infinite loading screen more than once per day, but more commonly I get one every other days.

This has zero effect on the penalties, its another excuse.

Depends how long you play. Can be 1-3 times depending at the moment. Used to be more, nothing to say a new update wont make it worse.

Thats you personally though. With all the games that dont load because someone bad the infinite load screen it means that while you personally don’t receive it someone else has. Hence why it is frequent.

  • And now people understand why killers can’t be buffed. You can argue about buffing for the top 1% all you want but that would just make games like these completely unfun for survivor (as if they aren’t already) and brain-numbingly easy for killer.

I saw tru3talent yesterday on stream. He complains about DS a lot, gets reset back to green ranks and complains about how all killers at those ranks just tunnel and 1 vs 1 all game. That is why DS got buffed through the roof because of bad players.

They need to fine ways to educate survivors and killers better. I believe a lot of issues in the game stem from neither side knowing how to play. The game isn’t as sinple as it seems. Advanced tutorials would be a start.

Killers need to learn not to chase 1 survivor all game. They need to know that its ok to break chase, when to break chase, how to run tiles and hide their red stain etc

Survivors need to know how to loop effectively and most importantly they need to learn that if they aren’t aggressive on the gens they aren’t going to win. Hiding gets you nowhere. The sooner the gens are done the sooner you can escape.

  • It will to a degree. Hence why I said killers are shooting themselves in the foot if they think a disconnect penalty will solve their problems.

I criticize plenty on the killer side. Except, only things that are actually OP.

Mori's need a rework, but keys do as well in kind. Iri head needs a rework, cause it's just nonsense. There's plenty of small things that need work. Hillbilly's base kit isn't one of them.

Also, I really don't care about what you say you did. You've talked about it enough. Show us. Until then, you're just confirming what I said prior. All talk.

I’ve never baited anyone into getting banned. This forum is well known across the board for being full of very unhappy killer mains. Of course if you try to defend anything on the survivor side they’re going to get angry. Nothing to do with me if they can’t control their anger and end up insulting and swearing at everyone they disagree with. You act like its me thats actually banning them, no pretty sure thats the mods because they browse her regularly and see people breaking the rules.

I don’t like using Hillbilly as he doesn’t feel rewarding. Feels like turning on god mode. Same reason I don’t like using NOED. I like to feel like I’ve earned my kills. In fact I don’t enjoy using chainsaw killers in general. Bit of a dull power if you ask me.

Oh, so all of a sudden you're running into all these issues 100x more now that DC penalty's are a thing?

I'll let my man Ace (not of the Visconti variety) speak for me here.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/547/JQJPE44610SH.gif

    🤦‍♂️

This is what I mean by people being unable to see anything further than directly what’s in front of them.

Complaints have escalated dramitically about these now because it’s actually punishing people. If you got a crash before you reloaded. Now you reload and wait 5 minutes. If you get a gamebreaking bug before you quit. Now you get stuck have to quit and get punished. People are now trying to play toxic to bait disconnects purely because theres a disconnect punishment.

It doesn’t take a genius to find out why once people are punished for issues in the game people become more vocal about said issues.

In fact I don’t know how you have the cheek to say this is only being brought up now. People have complained about the bugs for YEARS. Know why it stopped? Because the devs either obviously weren’t listening or were incapable of fixing them. Now that people are being punished though they are saying “enough is enough”. God forbid players ask for a reliable game without too many issues. How entitled!

You're right about one thing. Spirit is fine. I never said she wasn't.

Literally everything else though, you're wrong about. You go on and on about how "easy he is to play". I think it's time for you to practice what you preach, so indulge us. Record (which is easier than ever with todays modern graphics cards having built in capture technology!!) games of you, at red ranks, 4king consistently with Hillbilly. Of course that means you actually have to get to red ranks. So I wish you luck there.

Now, we both know you won't, because even you don't believe what you're saying. But, I implore you to do it. It's the only way you have even a slight chance of having any merit in your words. Until then, you'll be the one considered the troll; not me. Because I personally believe you're all talk and post purely to bait people; which can be observed by your name itself.

As for playing victim - isn't that what you just did by calling me a troll? Pot calling the proverbial kettle black, don't you think?

    😕

Of course you think she’s fine. I don’t think you would criticise much on the killer side.

As for Hillbilly I’ve played thousands of games and he just instadowns instadowns instadowns and zips between survivors doing it. You say he can be looped but theoretically most killers can be looped for 5 gens but it rarely ever happens. Nobody plays perfectly.

Yes a lot of those survivors aren’t great but when the hillbillys chase me they show they aren’t that great either.

Which means when its happening over so many games you begin to see a pattern. Your average everyday Hillbilly will dominate your average everyday team of survivors in a way that no other kill can. Not the average Nurse, not the average Spirit.

Which makes me believe he is too powerful for how easy he is to use. Which is what Pigmainclaudette was saying too. Unlimited instadowns with minimal cooldown, ability to cross the map in seconds. Its enough that it will boost the average player. People say Spirit is easy but your average everyday Spirit tends to resort to camp, tunnel and NOED to win and they dont dominate teams like Billy does. That’s due to your average player not being able to use her well.

I'm curious - why all of a sudden are you so against DC penalty's? This was never a point of contention with you before. Do you make a habit of DCing? Just a question.

Bugs and server issues. Bugs that have been in the game since the last dc penalty trial which caused literal disconnect standoffs still not addressed. Bugs going back years still not fixed. Developer track record of putting out half baked updates which add more bugs than they fix. Toxic community willing to troll just to try and get other people to disconnect.

If over the next 2 weeks they fixed half the bugs in the game, promised extensive testing on all future updates and the next one came out almost bug free then I’d feel a lot better about it.

Then they just need to address WHY people disconnect because right now everyone suicides on hook and I know people say “mub bbq stackz!!” but to me it makes no difference its still a thrown game that sucks for everyone else left behind and I think a lot of us would rather be given a forfeit option.

I didn't call you bad, and I'm not trolling. I can question your ability without calling you bad. I think most people here would call you a troll over me, because of your unfounded rhetoric on Hillbilly being super mega hyper OP; when 90% of the people here have told you how incorrect you are.

But go ahead, attack me when you're incapable of countering my point. Sounds about par for the course with you. I guess I struck a nerve. I certainly didn't mean to offend you, but maybe you should accept the fact that when you think something, and everyone disagrees, the issue isn't everyone else.

    🙄

Don’t play victim. You thinly veil your insults, calling everyone else bad at the game and then smugly add a smile to the end.

Nobody called Hillbilly hyper mega OP and most people here are killer mains anyway. I think he’s overpowered and too strong for how easy he is to play. Sue me. I think Spirit who a lot of people complain about is fine omg i must be a bias killer main!!

  • Agreed. A halfbaked system implemented at the wrong time.

Also interesting how gamebreaking bugs that causes issues the last time this penalty system was in the game still haven’t been fixed yet in that time they’ve managed to tweak and implement the penalty system.

It really shows a lack of care or concern for the players.

  • @McLightning said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1092433#Comment_1092433

Billy can be mind gamed. Spirit, while she can, is way more difficult to mind game. She's not hard to mind game, but more difficult than Billy.

If you have issues mind gaming Billy, that just says a lot about your own ability as a survivor. 😏

Why don’t you stop trolling calling everyone bad at the game and then putting smileys at the end?

You hold onto e-grudges and then just troll people you disagree with over and over again.

  • @ermsy said:

I understand your frustrations but the DC penalty solves more issues that it causes and if you revert the change, we would be back on square one.

    https://clips.twitch.tv/SlipperyHomelyKaleOSkomodo https://youtu.be/DHLYMaLin_Q

Such a fun and fair system. Yes lets compare it to Rocket League because that game has a penalty for ranked games yet none of the billion other issues DBD has so it’s totally a great comparison!

  • @ermsy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1092481#Comment_1092481

Those last two survivors can also suicide and end the game quickly.

But its the time before that which is frustrating when its happening over multiple games.

You need to seek them out at which point they’re hiding, chase them and hook them. Theres no fun because its a free win. I also feel really bad for those players which sucks the most. I shouldn’t have to feel like a dick for doing it.

Before 1 would disconnect which at least opened the hatch for the other.

  • At least one normally would. But if not then its the same? But the point is that option isn’t there.

I’d at least like the option to forfeit games. I dont think it would make much difference with all the toxic players but at least if 2 survivors gave up I could agree with the other survivors to just call it a day.

You are so busy that You cant wait to bleed out 4 minutes but you can complain about it on forums. İnteresting...

What on earth are you babbling about? I’m not even playing the game right now.

How does forum posting - something which requires active participation in any way relate to trying to play a game but being not allowed to participate?

  • @CashelP14 said:

Well in most other games if someone leaves they can get replaced, this game can't be balanced around that idea.

So if you don't like the new dc penalties then try playing another game.

To be fair that’s a dumb mechanic as well.

Rainbow Six casual mode - it’s 2-0 so everyone rage quits, you spend a few mins trying to join a lobby and it puts you in half a team and theres only one round left. That sucked. It would be like rejoining DBD as a survivor thats on death hook and 1 player is already eliminated from the game with 3 gens to go.

  • Upload a video and I can give you some tips.

  • @Endstille said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1092424#Comment_1092424

No it doesnt hurt the remaining players more, not at all. Before that people would not wait to be hooked and so on thus it helps the remaining people whether you like it or not.

The rest left have to participate in and finish a tilted game. Nobody has fun.

Killer gives up - I’d rather have them disconnect than sit and hold m1 while they afk.

2 Survivors give up in 1st minute - I’d rather have the last 2 disconnect and get it over with than be forced to go chase them around or play hide and seek.

2 survivors give up while you’re playing survivor - seek out the killer wanting it over with and be left on the ground for 4 mins to bleed out. Punished because others quit the game.

  • @Purr Bad comparison.

Take Rocket league for example. It bas a casual mode, it offers a forfeit option, but most importantly it isn’t absolutely riddled with bugs. There isn’t any toxic mechanics that can be abused either. You don’t get a Ghostface in Rocket League that sits there tbagging you and mori spamming for 4 minutes before finally doing the mori and ending the game. You don’t get random crashes, stuck in walls, trees or scenery.

It’s an apples to oranges comparison.

  • @DocFabron said:

Watch a video if you get slugged.

Yeah sounds great. Put a game on and then its community and mechanics are so messed up you spend your time watching videos.

Sounds like a good mentality to have for a game that is meant to be “fun”.

    Never work in game design.

  • It was obviously going to happen. Anyone who plays the game could have seen this coming if they have any experience with the community.

Either people just stop playing in which case killer queues take longer or game mechanics are changed or certain perks get buffed to combat it.

Any killer participating in this behaviour is only shooting themselves in the foot. These kind of toxic players will be the first to cry if survivors are given a bleedout option for example.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/129669/well-we-did-it-boys-1-hour-penalty-for-crashing

On am average gaming pc, my dbd crashed 5 or 6 times in a year.

Don't act like this game is so bad with crashing because its not.

This is the usual survivor excuse to go against a system that is working very well

In terms of crashing it definitely used to be. I dont remember the exact timeframe, maybe last summer but there was an issue in the game where immediately after you take your first few steps the game would crash and the crash reporter would pop up. Seemed to be an update that caused it and it lasted a few months.

Now the biggest issue is the infinite load screen. This is frequent. If you deny that you’re lying. It can potentially happen multiple times per session but if it doesnt happen to you it will happen to someone hence why some lobbies dont start saying “a olayer disconnected while loading”. Thats not people rage quitting thats the infinite load screen.

Now its not meant to count those as disconnects but this is DBD nothing works as intended. Hell just the other day it couldn’t even rank reset like it was supposed to.

Demo is too weak imo. Billy is the best killer all around. He's very powerful, has a high skill gap, yet accessible to the newcomer, and you don't feel cheated when you verse one, unlike say the spirit where it's flipping a coin on whether you guess right or not, or a good nurse where you feel helpless.

Billy is way cheaper than Spirit. He just swings instadown after instadown after instadown until he lands a hit since theres minimal cooldown. Then zooms across the entire map in 5 seconds to do it to someone else.

Spirit has nowhere near that kind of lower. You just need to be able to predict the Spirits next move which comes with experience. It eventually becomes easy to loop spirits for multiple gens.

  • @Runcore said:

NOED is fine as it is, its high risk, high reward perk that can be easily countered by cleansing totems. Dont know why NOED should be nerfed only because survivors are lazy to cleanse totems during game and better go gen-rush. Its great counter to gen-rushing.

    High risk 😂😂😂

    It’s low effort, high reward.

Meanwhile these kinds of players “fIx uR iNtErNeTz”

Maybe they will still participate in the game and see that in the end it wasn't that bad.

Where is the diffrence to holding m1 to a tunneling killer that gets looped all game? Killer does not participate we are gone in a couple of minutes.

Yea or you play normally till the end or go to the killer. See the problem in all this is the person that does dc with consequence less people will do it. What abuse? You mean toxic postgame chat? Just close it or understand that there is a report function for exactly that.

When you meet good people they will usually understand or just want to get out of the game the fastest way possible, again less people who dc is better in the end.

Maybe they will participate, maybe not. Maybe they’ll just resort to camping when they’re pissed off.

Less dc more suicides. It has solved nothing.

I genuinely believe this is going to hurt the game. Yeah a lot of people babyquit because they were caught but this just hurts the remaining players more. Also there are genuine reasons why some players would feel salty or tilted. None of those are looked into as that requires work.

  • @Sairek That’s exactly it. It’s all about their ego.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1092364#Comment_1092364

I agree with you in that when the killer slugs to get the 4k is very boring and maybe the survivor should have an option to suicide there and then seppuku style but...in the current state of the game i prefer the DC penalty.

Id wager that the suicide rate is lower than what the previous DC rate was purely because it takes a little more effort to suicide. You can't just rage quit and instantly leave the game, more people will be inclined to stick it out.

Wraiths or Myers sitting in the corner facing the wall wasn't unheard of before this change as well so I don't think this would trigger that either.

As I mentioned before it is the lesser of two evils and I think we'll eventually see the positives. Whenever any change occurs, there is some backlash which promotes toxic play but that does out.

The survivor should have an option to bleed out but the devs could not care less. Not until it affects their bottom line.

I’ve proposed an idea before. A bleed out button. Tap it and you start bleeding out at twice the rate. 2 minutes is more acceptable. That still gives the killer time if he really needs it but in return if the survivor bleeds out their aura gets revealed to the killer so he knows they’re doing it and can hook them anytime without them hiding in a corner.

I dont even get why slugging for the 4k exists ever since EGC. Its so killer sided now and you can close the hatch anytime.

Slugging for the 4k is boring as hell not just for survivor but killer as well. The last survivor will go fully immersed and its often spending ages squinting through corn trying to see them. I’d rather just take the chances on the hatch and trigger EGC.

  • @Endstille said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1092373#Comment_1092373

I see still no progress in the logic department.

Yes totally killer sided cause the little ragequit kiddies didn't hurt the remaining 3 survivors at all. This is going to happen less and less, I sincerely hope that they make the penalties harsher.

Also note dc is not exclusive to survivors but that tells a story about your skill not making a killer rq even once in all those thousands of games that you played.

Keep up the contradictions. I am sure that the people that rq everytime as they do not have it their way, they all just want a good challenge.

Nah I am just glad that the amount of farm games will decrease, i hate to either ######### on 2-3 people like the ragekiddie did or waste the time of everyone farming.

Got another story to tell? Can't wait.

    Farming ends?

All these killers that ragequit when losing or when they got pallet stunned carrying a survivor what do you think they will do now? They’ll likely afk. Which means everyone else has to do gens against an opponent that isn’t participating anymore. Hold M1 for a few minutes before you can leave. Yay so happy because all those afk wraith games were so enjoyable!! ^_^

Or 2 survivors give up on hook/disconnect. That leaves the last 2 to go into hiding for the hatch ensuring you have a long drawn out game, or you just gotta let them farm ir feel guilty while hooking them and deal with the abuse afterwards because they’re pissed off. Im sure players being unsatisfied wont have a knock on effect. No this is where it ends. We dont think that far forward so we Endstille?

Now why would people all of a sudden start complaining more about crashes when they are all of a sudden penalized more for their game crashing?... I... I... can't figure it out. It must be some sort of conspiracy.

These people can only see what’s immediately in front of them.

They aren’t able to see problems further down the road or put 2 and 2 together and work out why certain issues are now being talked about more such as crashing or toxic behaviour.

All they see in their head is “taking away my hatch = bad”.

  • “And of course if you play all day and crash once? Well then your penalty never resets.”

This is what worried me the most. It not resetting.

Server/crashes issues can occur at least once per session. This way it could easily roll over if you play a few hours on a Saturday and get it then a few hours on a sunday.

You’re right all this does is punish people who manage to spend a bit of time on the game.

Lol that guy on stream was so arrogant. He doesn’t play the game though so of course he doesn’t care.

Its like people can’t see the forest for the trees. Do people not remember when Oni came out and there was a gamebreaking basement bug? You could easily get that multiple times per day as all it took was a basement hook. If you disconnected from that and the disconnect rolls over you’d easily get an hour ban.

Or infinite mending legion. Sure they banned the players exploiting but in the meantime everyone who was a victim of them had to suffer. Now if we get another bug like that people will be forced to stay in those kind of games or just keep disconnect and get an hour timeout literally due to being griefed by exploiters.

BHVR has done some dumb things but this is literally the dumbest thing they’ve ever done. All it does is punish the victims.

  • Dc penalty doing wonders. Now everyone disconnects on hooks.

Another problem successfully fixed. I’m sure BHVR will give it another “pass” in 3 years or so to re-evaluate why so many players just give up in the game.

Can't say i am surprised to find @ClickyClicky ranting about DC punishments.

The fact that people like yourself are all for it implies it’s massively killer sided.

I like a challenge in videogames and I like to earn my win. This dc penalty only benefits people like yourself who will take any win you can get regardless of if the other side is even still playing or not.

It’s like NOED in that regard. Some people want to earn their kills, others will be happy to have it handed to them.

So like, I let it sit for like 5 minutes or so and then restarted the game, and no DC penalty at all. I KNOW it counts them because it counted the last one, so I think the timer started right after my game actually froze, so by the time I got back in it was up.

Still though, if it happens again I am going to get a much longer ban. I lost my BPS isn't that punishment enough?

It’s not meant to count them apparently but this is DBD so ‘m better it does sometimes. Just like sometimes you would lose a pip from them and sometimes not. Or sometimes the game would still start with only 3 people.

    Joke.

Your scenario is the lesser of the evils. There isn't a fool proof way of stopping players from prematurely exiting the game be it dcing or suiciding on the hook.

But punishing dcers would at least alleviate one of the problems and I think it's a step in the right direction.

Dcing to give someone the hatch shouldn't be a thing and this stops that or killers dcing near the start of the game causing survivors to spend another 10 minutes searching for a game.

It's a welcomed changed that has more pros than cons.

Dc for the hatch was part toxic swf, but part because the other survivor was bored as hell while the killer walked around spending the full 4 mins looking for an immersed claudette he was never going to find. Its a very boring part of the game that should have been addressed long ago.

Killers that disconnect early will now just go afk early. This is another point, I’d rather the killer disconnect on me if he doesn’t want to play as opposed to me having to sit holding M1 through the remaining gens before I can end the game.

Basically everyone is giving up just as often as before if not more so but now everyone else suffers for it by being expected to carry on playing against opponents that are no longer taking part. You’re pretty much playing DBD by yourself at that point.

@Warlock_2020 That’s the problem it’s the frequency of it. Its just so common for them to give up.

  • Killer mains upset its not balanced around the 4k again. Killer isn’t THAT hard. If you’re struggling every game then you need to improve.

With survivors now suiciding on hook rather than disconnecting, how do you think that will affect the stats? I can tell you this much, there won’t be any hard survivor nerfs.

Ruin nerf caused killers to play more aggressive. Because they have to.

It's not toxic because you don't like the play style.

You don't have to. I don't play any different than before.

When you're good at killer you don't need to try and take the cheapest way out and can adapt to many situations 😎

  • Toxic community takes advantage and acts toxic. I am shocked!

Yes, i understood that from your last post. And i agree, that might be a boring drag, wanting to get to the next game. But i just dont see a reason why you should DC in any of those cases, since you lose both the points and de-pip. While the game becomes less fun for the survivors left behind of the suicider, i can't see why anyone would rather leave the game and waste all the points they could gather; a simple solution in that case then; suicide on the next hook + get the points + a potential safety pip, while you also get to carry on to the next game. Penalty is needed to discourage the players from purposefully DC-ing, hence trying to prevent the scenario you're describing.

Well normally it's the survivors that disconnect in those cases. I don't care about pips tbh or points in those cases because you're getting none anyway. I just want the game to be over.

Also tonight suicides have seemed far more frequent than disconnects. I've barely had survivors disconnect recently.

Can't wait to see the next lot of stats were all killers have like an 80%+ killrate.

"Couldnt be bothered to wait for gens to be done. "

Oh my god how would you ever survive.

These reasons for needing to disconnect mid game are becoming more and more elaborate as the threads appear now that punishments are back.

If you cant handle the outcome of a game, or how you may have yo play to deal with bullshit, then dont queue up.

Joining a game, and disconnecting is childish.

Having 2 people leave and being mad you cant DC instead of what you came to do, but easier, is childish.

Ffs you had 2 people gone and its "a chore" instead of chasing 4?

You could either play the easier game, or watch videos for 5 mins. Sorry you cant rage quit whenever you want to now.

    Grow up.

Until then, I'm out. Theres no way you're going to see logic. That's apparent by your DC white knighting.

    <3

The only people in favour of this are green rank killers that struggle to win and they love the fact that they can 4k for the first time in their life knowing the other survivors have to stay for the 4k.

Some of us play videogames for the competitive element. I want a challenge, not me just picking off half a team that has no chance. I don't want the win handed to me.

    "Watch videos for 5 minutes"

Yeah because that's why I turn a videogame on. So that I can spend my time watching youtube instead of playing the game. Makes sense. 200iq.
