The... guy that... spells correctly?
No, the dude that is the grammar police on a dbd forum.
Did you know what OP meant? No need to correct them if you did.
You want to write your threads in perfect English, feel free. But why reply to a thread only to correct grammar? That contributes nothing to the discussion and , really, only insults someone. Someone who is probably posting in haste or using the forums for fun discussions and not an English exam.
-
You do realize your odds of getting an ebony mori are greater than getting an ivory one, right?
Also, they promoted ######### gameplay and needed to get nerfed.

There is a bit of a difference. Tunneling is a decision you make on the tactics you choose to do as a killer. The survivor being tunneled has no say in this and can only react to said tactic. Often making for an unfun experience.
Gen rush, is what happens when the killer leaves survivors too much time, whether by Tunneling one survivor continuously or by lacking skills to pressure gens. In either case, there is nothing else for survivors to do but gens. And it is the objective to power the gates.
When I refer to Tunneling, I mean the purposeful targeting of a survivor to eliminate them from the game. Not the, oh, sorry found you again, bad luck.
-
DCing is a dick move. I would never convince anyone otherwise
-
I am sure they do, and have. But if we get bored with the game, can you imagine after working on it all day, how bored they must be after 5 years.

Gens start highlighted white and turn more and more red the closer it is to being complete. Info on where survivors are. What gens need regressed, etc is so valuable it's not even funny
Ok, I never play that one. Guess I will have to give it a try

Got you

I like all-seeing spirit more then blood tbh
What is all seeing Spirit? Father's Glasses?

Depends on the map IMO. If you’re playing a map like Hawkins/Lery’s/The Game, Michael’s TR being undetectable is a HUGE advantage.
Compared to Wraith, you have to prepare to catch survivors off guard. Michael you can catch them off guard in any situation.
Any other map I would give it to Wraith.
That 's a fair point

Waaaaay stronger. Your lunge isn't limited, you move quick af around the map, semi-invisible, etc..
Although I will say, I love to have the aura addon without the silent bell because I love seeing the survivors freak out when I'm looking at them through a wall & bong it real quick.
Agreed, I just like that combo with MYC because they are hiding and then, bam and they're down.

Yes, I think this Add On became too strong since they buffed his Speed. Before one Add On Slot was used for Windstorm basically all the time, so you could either use the Silent Bell OR All Seeing. Or you used both and had a slow Wraith.
Now you can use both AND have the Speed Increase, basically like old Wraith with 3 Add On-Slots.
Too much IMO. Especially because now you see this Add On more frequently than before.
That is well said, very good point
-
I honestly don't main anyone anymore. I do dailies and play whichever killer has streamers.
As survivor, whoever has most medkits , streamers, or if I feel daring, flashlights
-
Not bannable, better question is why would you do this?
-
I am mostly an 8 now. Sometimes I still gotta remind myself to just chill and keep it light. But for the most part I play pretty chill and just get those bloodpoints!
-
It's a fun pass time for me. And I was committed to getting good. I admittedly play less than I have in the past, but it is still one of the best drinking games that you can play with friends all over the globe/country at the same time.
-
I think this is another chicken or egg argument. Do survivors gen rush to counter tunneling and camping? Or do killers tunnel and camp because of gen speeds? Would survivors slow down on gens and do more chests, totems, heals , etc. if they were sure not to be tunneled? Would killers really stop tunneling if the gens went slower, or would we just get that kill rate into the 90's.
This is the biggest question/disagreement between to two sides. I agree, people should play both sides with equal intensity and learn a bit of empathy towards to plight of their competitors .

""Also killers get to decide how the game is played, what tactics will be used, etc. So they have a greater chance of negatively impacting a person's game, if said person dislikes the tactics used. What can survivors do to control the game besides play immersed?""
No, this is what you said. 🤥
Yes, and the only control survivors can do is play immersed. That's what I said.
What are we debating?

Survivors could easily hold the game hostage by hiding at some remote location. The only way a killer can is if its one survivor left and he body blocks him from escaping a tight corner. Slugging all the survivors and letting them bleed out is not holding the game hostage; its douchey yes but you bleed out in 4 min.
I've had 2 occasions of survivors holding the game hostage by hiding; 1 took me idle for 45 min. for survivors to finish the gens and escaping, the other took 15 min but would have taken long if I were not able to locate them hiding.
Yes, that is what I said. That is the only thing they can do to control the game.
And we all agree it's a ######### thing to do.
-
Sorry, but this is just another thread that further divides the community.
Simply, nice people are nice and others are what they are.
I'd argue those that main only one side have a higher rate of ignorance than those that play both sides.
Also killers get to decide how the game is played, what tactics will be used, etc. So they have a greater chance of negatively impacting a person's game, if said person dislikes the tactics used. What can survivors do to control the game besides play immersed?
Not that any of this should ever warrant nasty messages
-
If they got more points than you, and didn't even finish the gens or open the door. Well sounds like you were losing anyway.
Secondly, like I have said before, if keys were so strong and so prevalent, then they are decreasing the kill rate. Which can be as high as like 68%. So , if they are as strong as people like to make them out, and used that often, nerfing keys will only raise the kill rate, resulting in eventual nerfs to killers.

Weird that every single survivor in my fl complains about it too xD
That is weird. I never use it so maybe that is why I never hear about it.
And when I play survivor, it is easily predicted by how the killer plays if they are likely to have it. And, IMO, no big deal to counter.
But, there are so many ######### survivors anymore
-
Good killers don't use No Ones Even Dead yet.
And good survivors don't give a ######### about NOED.
-
No, as others have stated. There should be more incentive to not tunnel and camp. But people shouldn't be punished for playing within the rules.
-
You do realize there is a flaw in the logic here? If keys are indeed so strong and prevalent, and the kill rates are over 50%, some killers as high as 65%, then keys are dropping those rates significantly, if indeed they are as problematic as you make them sound.
In which case, nerfing or removing keys would lead to an increase in kill rates leading to killers getting nerfed.
-
Never thought of this build, I'll give it a try. Thanks!

I have not tried them, admittedly. Finding inner peace sounds super helfpul these days, though. I'm willing to try anything, so that's something I should look into to work on myself.
Good luck my friend. I do believe there may be youtube videos with some beginning yoga you can try.

Again, I already am seeking professional help for this, but I'm also looking for more personalized experiences for advice. I don't think it's a bad idea to seek advice for this sort of problem on a gaming forum as long as I am already looking for professional help.
Fair enough. Then may I suggest Yoga and meditation. I don't know if you have ever tried these but they are amazing for finding peace within yourself and embracing the moment. The breathing techniques should help you recognize when your symptoms are coming on and may eventually allow you to control them.
Either way, I can't see anything but a positive outcome from these two practices.
-
Like others have said, this is not the place for such advice.
I hope you find a solution and feel better soon.
-
What rank?
-
The simple truth is you play how you want to play. If it is within the rules, it is fair game.
I play how I would like to verse. So if you prefer, do what you would hope your opponent would do in that situation. Although, realistically, what do you hope your opponent would do here?
I play about as "fun" as a killer can and remain competitive. But even I would not reward an unsafe hook rescue. Survivors still should play the game strategically. Not just rush in knowing the killer is right there and expect to be rewarded for bad gameplay.
This only creates the horrible play we see in Solo Q.
Do you, play within the rules and have fun. If you aren't doing those things, then change your tactics until you are.
-
Yeah, Im not even going to download it until tonight. Put it in rest mode and go to sleep. Maybe by the morning I can play.
-
Still has to be paired with Iron Will to be completely effective. So two perk slots to win maybe two chases. But, two chases, if wasting enough time could be huge.
Maybe I'll run it a few games with a syringe and see.

We Will see with boon totems. Hexes are really powerful. DS it Is also, but is a needed antitunnel perk, to make the game playable, and not a Slaughter fest.
Fair enough. I know I run it every game. But, I don't know if the skill check should be bigger.
-
High risk high reward perk. Like hexes
-
Constant slugging and camping with them just makes for many miserable games.
-
We are all carried by our perks to some degree or we would all be playing perkless.
But, surge and pop actually getting takes downs and hooks to proc, so I don't see how they would be salty about it.
But people hate to lose and often lack the self awareness to use it as an opportunity to learn and instead throw shade at the competition.
Fk em.
-
Yeah, sorry...Hatch or take the L.
-
Thrilling is better, but bloodpoints are the best. So bbq and a pudding for me.
-
Dead Hard, DS, Bond and lately Windows for those loops. Normally it would be BT or Kindred if solo.
-
Toxic damn fools is what. Plus who wants to be bullied for opting out of voice chat.
I have friends I swf with that just don't like to use comms. I have one friend I have played with for over two years and have never heard their voice.
-
Totally Meg perks with Kindred, to replace my beloved Bond.
Then Bubba perks for those tasty bloodpoints, with Sloppy to slow things down just a bit.
-
No, I rarely use anything stronger than green. On occasion of course for fun or to try something different. But I play how I would like to verse, so same as when playing survivor, I don't run keys or map offerings.
Just my personal preference.
-
I'm glad you said it because I feel others disagree with how prevalent it is.
I know there are great killers out there that try to play fun matches, and I appreciate you. And I'm not hating on others.
But the get one hook and spend the rest of the game just returning to it, hook after hook is getting stale. Definitely why people prefer to play in SWFs or just die on hook and hope for a more interactive game.
-
Maybe it wasn't so much about SWF and you were just matched against people with much more experience than you.
SWF is not the deciding factor of whether a killer wins or not. Rng perhaps. But if you are losing more than winning, perhaps you are not in the correct rank.
-
It happens. But it's a 5 minute penalty. More time than it probably took to create this thread.
-
I think like the word "toxic", entitled has lost all meaning in this game.
But with that said, why message and ask them why they chose to play a certain way? You are inviting a snarky reply.
Take the L, Ggs if you must text something and move on.
How another plays is their business.
-
I am with you on objectives.
I believe healing is a bit more complicated. There are times when it is the right move and times when you gotta push objectives.
