I am pretty inked up myself, so I don't have a lot of room. But I do enjoy Black and Grey tattoos and most of mine are a bit "dark". Kind of a theme of balancing between life and death, masculine and feminine, light and dark. So a Spirit tat could fit.

3rd grade, went out for choir. We go out in the hallway, individually , and the receptionist plays America the Beautiful on piano and we sing. They pick everyone in the class except 3 of us. So each week when the kids got to go to choir practice, we had to stay behind. Sad day.
Maybe that's why I love to sing today, even tho I can't carry a tune.
I don't think this is legal anymore, lol. But, NJ in the 80's.

Well theres no arguing about Freddy's current state, but I feel like he would actually be freddy krueger if the dream world was hell for the survivors so I thought it sounded good.
Fair enough. Lore wise I can see that point.
-
You can't really believe Freddy needs a buff. Freddy is in a good spot, if you think he needs more, than I suggest you pick up Spirit or learn Nurse
-
I think it's the 27th, but damn I hope it works. Killer is borderline unplayable on console and DH is actually a detriment on console. I think you lag back towards the killer.
-
Honestly, just stacked slowdown perks. The ruin, undying, thana, dying light BS. Or Corrupt, ruin, undying, pop, like pick a slowdown and move on.
I Just hate a game to drag on endlessly.
-
Nothing

I watched a streamer I like yesterday. 4 killer DCs in a row. No joke. In chat we started taking bets as to how many were going to DC.
And as a solo survivor. Please, 80% of games someone DCs

Then let's stop using the word with negative connotations. Because choosing a survivor to go after, for whatever reason, and then people whinging about it is ridiculous.
Basically tunneling = chasing.
I stated in an earlier post the the way one feels about them is subjective.
So, while not a negative to you, Others may be of a different opinion.
Both opinions are valid and understandable.
I personally play how I like to verse. So if I don't like something, I don't do it to my competitors.
-
@DangerScouse said:
100% agree. I'm a killer main right. I have a slight issue with Gen speed, but gen rushing is a nonsense term. If survivors want to get gens popped as quick as possible they are entitled to, and it ain't that hard so crack on.
On the flip side, if I want to go after the hurt survivor, or the strongest player, or the one with the key, etc etc etc..... you can be darn sure I will. Its not tunneling.
This is exactly tunneling. Now whether you care is up to you and how you view the game.
-
At this point, on console, it's actually a detriment to your game.
-
They are real, in the parlance of DBD. If they weren't then how would so many people understand what you mean when you write these terms?
Now, how you feel about them is completely subjective.

They are so not the same thing. Giving a pity kill does next to nothing for the killer. You barely get any bonus bloodpoints and in terms of emblems, you've already lost anyways, it's purely wasting time.
Giving the hatch gives a survivor 7,000 bloodpoints that they otherwise wouldn't have gotten and it also has them escape the trial, which emblem-wise tends to be enough to rank up.
So no, I don't care for your argument. They are not the same thing, so I will continue to be okay with one, but not the other.
Fair enough.
I just find it funny how so many claim "survivors never give me a kill" then when they do, now it's, "fk that, I don't want your pity"
-
Agreed, the 3 gen patrolling is an outdated mechanic
-
If you're chasing for a minute, you're already doing it wrong .

What does that have to do with anything?
Maybe for an obvious baby Dwight who got unlucky with the matchmaking, but generally no.
I'm asking because they are the same thing. If you are okay with one, then you should be with the other.

It's not unique to killer, I hate to break it to you. Imagine skill checks as a survivor. Imagine vaulting a window and being stuck mid animation for three seconds. Imagine unhooking someone and being stuck in that animation for six seconds. Imagine running through a pallet and all of the sudden you teleport back six feet and you're facing a different direction. But yeah, killers are the only ones with problems on console.
It's not unique to killer, true. But it is much more game changing and detrimental to killer.
-
@Alionis said:
No. The gates are open, gtfo and stop wasting both of our time. I hate survivors not leaving, regardless of whether they want to give me a worthless pity kill or just continue to gloat.
Do you ever give the hatch as killer?
-
Better to use them now, to make more points to buy more cakes
If you save them, u actually lose points because you would get cakes in these webs. Later there won't be cakes to buy
-
Used it once, got my adept, haven't used it since.
-
I just cashed in 95k shards getting blood points to stock up on cakes.
I don't know why I saved them. I just wouldn't let them go. Now I have 100. But lots of cakes
-
I'd gladly take the points 👉.
But, honestly, it is rare that I am in the position where this would happen.
But when I do get my ass kicked, sure I'll take those points. It's like getting the hatch, idc about it, but thanks.
-
Yeah, fk that map. I can't stand it as killer. Add in the nice console frame drops and it may just be literal hell.
-
I got accused of this the other day, and if you know anything about me, I play under my own no tunneling rules.
Funniest part, they all had DS and I didn't get hit with one. People are so silly sometimes.
-
Yeah it sux. I've been exclusively solo q during the event. The amount of times people DC is annoying
As killer, idc. Got plenty of cakes to spare

I was not trying to put words in your mouth, directly, apologies.
I was simply pointing out the myriad of excuses against NoED, and other rules Survivors have invented, and putting them together to show just how much Survivors are trying to tie Killer's hands. Something that may not be seen when folks view each suggestion piecemeal.
Fair enough. But trust I have my killer time logged. And I understand how asinine some Survivors can be in defining killer tactics. I am just not a fan of sacrificing a perk slot for an end game scenario, i am not willing to concede will even happen.

Heaven forbid someone play for the back half of the match, right?
I mean, Survivors get pissed off if a Killer 'tryhards' before a gen pops, too.
So what are Killers supposed to do? Not kill until a gen pops, but make sure not to use NoED fir all 5 popping, because Survivors have declared the match is over by then!
So Killers have a 4-Gen window to kill without being 'sweats' or using a 'crutch perk'; Don't kill before Gen #1 (tryharding), but also don't kill after gen #5 (Survivors have deemed 5 gens a 'win')! 🤦♂️
No, that is why I try to choose my words carefully.
I really need to stop interjecting in these noed discussions. First play whatever you want, and ######### someone else's opinion. But, let's not act like killing before the gens are done isn't the old school Killer's goal.
It seems newer Killers see noed differently. I personally don't judge anyone's perk or tactics. But, after 4 years in the game, I prefer perks that will let me 4k before I need No ones even dead yet.
My point is, if you play it every game, every build, every killer, well you are a bit boosted .

So? Just because it does not reward success does not mean it has to reward failure. This is not an either/or result.
NoED is just a tool to help a Killer win. Maybe it salvages a game going south, or maybe it was a Killer planning ahead because they like being a threat after 5 gens pop; Since the Killer has not failed until everyone escapes, it's really up to how a Killer uses it that defines it.
But none of those definitions are 'rewards failure', since the Killer's only fail state is 'people escaped'.
The 'rewards failure because 5 gens' BS is like a Killer saying 'Ok! Survivors fail if I sacrifice 2 of them! Stop doing gens; you already failed!' 🤦♂️
Look, I have played so long, and been on these forums so long, that I have had this noed discussion ad nauseum.
The simple truth is, if you play this in every build, every game, IMO, then you concede that more often then not, Survivors are going to finish the gens on you.
Or else, why not play other perks to help you ensure that they don't power the gens?
Look, play what you want, but like DH for survivor, you didn't outplay, you outperked.
-
@Power_Guy said:
Even if you don't want to hear it; tunneling is a strategy. All this bunk about how it 'ruins the game' or is 'unfun' or 'removes someone' needs to stop.
If I play a battle royale; should I not shoot someone because they did not find a gun? Clearly, they won't find it fun to be removed so early, and they can't fight back. Should I think of their fun and stop trying to win? 🤷♂️
And if I see 2 people, and one is wounded, they will take half the time to down as someone healthy. Why should I stop playing optimally just because Survivors demand it?
Do you look at a regressing gent at 80% and go 'The best play would be to finish this gen! But that would be unfun for the Killer! I'll go do a 0% gen!'
No? Because you want to play optimally? Well so does the Killer. You don't get to decide how the Killer plays. ✌️
Tunneling is not a strategy, it is a tactic. If Tunneling is your strategy, then you are doing it wrong.
A tactic is used in your overall strategy to achieve a goal.

The problem with the view of most people who complain about NoED is that they think it 'rewards failure'. This could not be more wrong.
See, the Killer did not fail just because 5 gens popped; the Exit Gates still need to be opened, and the Survivors still need to actually leave the match. At any point between those two things; the Killer can still hit and hook and kill people.
But, the way I see it, most of those who dislike NoED know this. They just don't want to accept it. So they invent some arbitrary event; the Exit Gates being powered, and then claim it's somehow a fail state for Killers.
In this way, they have just created an argument against NoED; that it 'rewards failure'. They're wrong, but they will stick to it, because it's the only method to attack NoED that they have.
Because, and let's face it, their other argument of 'It has no counter' is an utter lie, given the number of anti-totem perks and items that exist.
So they tried to invent another flaw with the perk; the 'rewards failure' tripe. It's also a lie, but they keep trying.
It sure as hell doesn't reward success.
-
######### agreed.
Playing killer on console right now feels like a punishment.
I want my cakes, but not with my sanity lagging out!

Your LITERALLY throwing the game if u do that, not to mention giving the killer more BP than he deserves
I understand that. But, what is the fun of pounding gens and getting 2 out?
I mean you can camp and tunnel one dude out the game before 4 gens.
Get another one, noed and guarantee 2ks at least.
I understand that it is not the smartest move game wise, but it is hard not to give a person a chance. I'd rathered be farmed and get a chance to hit my DS.
I was just pointing out why it often works, and I'm talking solos. SWF is even more reason to go for the save.

They disconnected both at the same time. I doubt they cared for the fun of the rest of the team.
Yeah, I didn't mean those two imparticular, I meant in general as to why survivors often lose to this tactic.
-
It works because when we play survivor we care about the other players' experience. So, we know we will lose, but gotta at least try to get them off the hook.
Maybe they have DS, IDK.
I just don't understand why killers want to play like this.
It can't be as fun and thrilling as engaging in chases and strategies on gen control.
-
Congrats!!!!
-
Agreed @SilentPill , I bag tunnelers.
-
It's definitely strong, especially when combined with MYC and BBQ.
I'm a bit biased myself, because I enjoy Wraith as well. But I could be convinced all seeing is a bit OP when combined with certain combinations of perks and addons.
Silent bell, ghost and discordance can result in a lot of grabs. Much like old prayer beads
-
Yeah, gotta agree with others, it's not really cool to come here and just gloat because someone got frustrated and quit
-
Can you please delete your forum account now.
Thanks!! 👎
-
No, I'm having a blast. And if I have games where I don't enjoy the tactics, well I'm getting like 5 times the points to endure it.
So, overall I am enjoying leveling up a few characters and stocking up on cakes.
-
@Orion said:
Probability does not work the way you think it should. The fact that Enduring has appeared 20 times is a statistical abnormality, no different from when you get 5 heads in a row when flipping a coin. It's unlikely (about 3%), but possible. Getting struck by lightning has about a 0.0003% chance of happening, yet around 24000 people are still hit and killed by lightning every year.
PS: The odds of any one perk appearing actually decrease over time due to the increase in possible perks.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
People's understanding of math on these forums just drives me crazy 🤪!!

You don't lose a pip when someone closes app. Sorry
-
The truth is it happens on both sides.
I was playing demo yesterday, who I rarely play. And , last second switch to 4 flashlights. I should have closed app, but no, fk it play it out.
Flashlight gods, preceeded to kill gens and deny me my first like 4 hooks. I made an OK recovery but just an unfun game.
Both sides do it
-
Sorry, but ######### this map. I mean, how many doorways so I have to go through to kick a damn genny.
I never had a problem with W gaming until this map
-
I think more of us prefer a normal game then constant farming matches. Like I said earlier, I think both sides could play with a bit more understanding of the other sides plight, but not constant farming matches either.
-
??????????
-
I hate farming too. I just play normally, which is honestly, nice enough

I thought people would just be helping other people during this event. In my killer games I'm just playing with the survivors and letting them get the crowns if they need the crowns
That is quite nice and kind. But, it can be boring for killers that enjoy a more competitive game. However it would be nice if there was some middle ground
-
You kind of answer your own question in your post. Both sides come in prepared to do battle, neither sides know what the intensity of the other side will be. So both start off sweating, and well, you have said results.
I wish we could all find some common ground during these events. I don't want farming games, that is boring as #########. But if one side is killing it, can't we take our foot of the gas for a bit and let the other side get some points.
-
Yeah, MYC and BBQ are my standard build.
Then usually I run Huanted grounds and devour, or HG and undying.
Sloppy and pop are also great
