  • I'm a bit bothered by how killer sounds are weirdly universal across the map- I can hear Plague get stunned across the map, PH's every m2 move, the Chainsaw Boys revving, etc., all regardless of where they are. It's a toss up of whether it is a good thing or not hahaha- I always know when someone else is in a chase against these killers, but I have lost chases due to not being able to tell just exactly where the killer is if I'm not staring behind myself as I run, since their sounds are always in the same place audio-wise.

I'm assuming I'm not the only one who hears Deathslinger's shot differently now, too- sounds like a higher pitched version now LMAO

  • It's literally so impossible to play killer on Switch right now.

Not even sure if devs fully understand how AWFUL their game currently is on killer side. I don't see how I'm gonna be able to finish the rift pass this season unless they actually do allow cross progression before the end of the month. I just can't bring myself to play killer with how impossible it is to catch someone, and then catch them AGAIN after they wiggle out before the first hook. You have to be a LOT better than the survivors you're going against to have a fighting chance, with how many glitches there currently are.

Omfg I'm so tired of these sh*tbags. This was an immature, tired, waste of time of a post that was merely hyperbolic with no substance. Kids are mad they get killed and cant just start a new match. They say you're not a good player if you like Keys and Moris but then go "DoN't BuLlY mE iDk HoW tO pLaY oR lEvEl Up A bLoOdWeB sO I hAvE 2 eXhAuStIoN pErKs". You know who gets mad at being mori'd? Toxic players who have similar mindsets that sink this game on the forums and in play with some of the crossplay features introduced. If you dont like Moris and Keys, f*** off and play something else.

It makes NO SENSE that people will keep the incredulous shittalking going and STILL play when they dont want/like, ruining it a little more everytime for people like me who enjoy the game and getting better at it with each new mechanic or addition to the trials work.

I mean, come on, grow up, get out, and leave.

Your comment here was WAY more annoying and toxic than his post 😴 have you never complained about this game? And way to take his explanation for running 2 exhaustion perks so lamely. I'm sure he's sorry that he wasn't born with 5 billion blood points to invest in every new DBD survivor he gets.

If you wanna get taken seriously, don't make comments like this. You're freaking out for no reason as if someone being (rightfully) annoyed at getting tunneled and mori'd off first hook is gonna make BHVR shut down the whole game... like... what? lmao

Also, plenty of non toxic survivors and killers dislike keys and moris. I dislike getting mori'd off first hook but I'm not mad if it's my second hook. I'd love to get the chance to wiggle off/get stun saved but the animations themselves are cool and fun to see sometimes (especially if they're Clown LMFAO). Keys are fine, too, but I'm completely cool with a rework for them.

    Just chill out, bro LOL

  • DCs being rampant is one of the big reasons I almost exclusively play full SWF. Even with 3 man groups, the random very often DCs and it's incredibly annoying. I wouldn't care that much if they did it on their third down or second hook or something, but a huge amount of players DC if they're the first down in the match. Hook suicide is a lot less annoying because at least they took up... ten seconds of the killer's time by picking them up and hooking them. Hate running halfway across the map to unhook only for them to die before I realize what they're doing, though.

I'm all for DC penalties coming back, would definitely play the game more in solo queue if I knew I would be less likely to deal with the scenario of having 4 gens left with 1 teammate lmao

  • Some of the comments in here are straight up... ignorant. I get the idea that most of y'all have never had a hobby turn into a job or have streamed consistently for a while. I've done both so I completely understand why No0b3 is burnt out.

I had one of my hobbies turn into a side job and it honestly sucks the joy out of it completely. I can't do my hobby for myself anymore without feeling guilty that I'm not working on the business aspect of it. I give myself no chances to rediscover WHY I loved it enough in the beginning to become popular in my town as someone to go to do have related projects done. A fun little hobby has turned into something I dread doing.

I imagine No0b3 is in the same boat- how is he going to play DBD without thinking "I should be streaming this/recording this for content/doing this/that/etc"? If he has depression/anxiety/any personal stuff going on that can affect you mentally, all of that is just amplified. The very thing that you loved enough to become something of a stand out becomes distasteful for you- it's not something for you to relax anymore, it's job or performance for other people and no matter how demanding or non-demanding it is, it's very, very rough for some people.

Now with streaming- even if you enjoy it, it's a lot of work. Having to be "on" the whole time, worrying about how you're coming off on your broadcasts, etc., it's just a lot of emotional and mental energy being expended if you're not the right "personality"

We don't know what kind of fans No0b3 deals with, (besides the obvious horde of entitled snotballs who are incapable of comprehending the fact that sometimes people need a break) and he might find a lot of his fans extremely exhausting. Even just besides all those little reasons you can think of, streaming is just tiring. Content making is tiring. Doing that for DBD is a recipe for a mess, too, considering how toxic the game and the playerbase can be. Some people just aren't built to endlessly handle it well. Otz, Monto, etc., they seem to be doing fine. But not everyone is the same and if No0b3 has depression that is a HUGE factor that won't go away on its own.

I don't really know of No0b3 that well. I've watched some of his YouTube videos and I follow him on Twitter- and that's about it. But he doesn't owe anything to anyone. If you're a twitch sub of his and unhappy with the amount of content he is making, go ahead and un-sub. That's totally your right and makes sense- I wouldn't sub to someone who made it clear that they weren't making content for now, unless I genuinely cared about their possible return and wanted to toss a coin to help support them as a content creator.

  • I don't see anyone talking about ADAM. Adam mains are consistently the worst survivors and complete brainlets. I haven't EVER seen a good Adam, like, fr. I always run into them playing as killer and they're easy downs every single time. As survivor, they don't really tend to get in the way... you just spend the whole match cleaning up their messes. It's like having a child who isn't potty trained in the match.

Blendettes are usually sickos in my experience tbh. Either that or they're basket cases who go off in the chat on you about how bad of a teammate you are when they were the ones who didn't finish a single gen or get a single save.

P3 Cheryls are usually awful, too, despite playing enough to get enough BP to prestige her fully.

  • Oh I had a match against a Doctor on Yamaoka with a completely invisible red stain... he had no perks or add ons to influence his red stain, either. I was tier 1 madness at most (and like I said, no perks or add ons to influence it) and I went down pretty early into our chase on a T&L tile due to having so much difficulty fully understanding where he was while chasing me lmaooo

  • I think the only change I'd like to see for Saboteur is that it wouldn't be put on cooldown just for touching the hook. It is often pretty difficult to sabotage the right hook without getting smacked by the killer, and if he does that after you start the sabotage, you're out of luck. The best strategy right now is to take that hit a little bit further from the hook and use the speed boost to get there before he can and sabo it, but either way you're kind of forced to take a hook and it's a higher skilled and coordinated perk to use for the most part. If it just went on cooldown once you completed a hook sabo it would be ten times better without being anymore overpowered imo

  • BBQ is just annoying to deal with/wastes the survivor's time, especially against high mobility killers. You yourself may be prepared to counter it by hiding/faking out your aura, but if you're with another survivor at the time and they don't bother to do anything about the BBQ ping, you just wasted your own time trying to counter it because the killer is probably coming anyways since your teammate gave them a reason to come.

Otherwise, I think some survivors just complain about it because they're used to killers complaining about seeing the same survivor perks, so it feels like a fair retort to make the same complaint about BBQ/Pop/etc.

I personally find BBQ to be somewhat annoying on occasions when I have no way to counter it (in a deadzone, not enough time between downs/hooking to hide aura, etc) but I appreciate that it discourages camping somewhat. Of course you have the people who literally don't care about leaving the close proximity of the hook, but most people seem to take the BBQ ping and leave the hooked person to go start a chase with someone else. It's a good perk and it encourages fair gameplay, in theory. I really think survivors complaining about it is just a retort to killers who make the complaint about seeing the same perks over and over again, since BBQ is probably the most commonly run killer perk (for good reason)

They still had 1 gen to do and I had the best 3 gen I’ve ever seen

Then only three people escaped, not four. In that case it definitely sucks more for you, since they did skip more of the game than if it had been a four man escape.

  • @gamblor6 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1620822#Comment_1620822

They did 4 gens on ormond when I have little to no perks, and the guy that brought them thought it was perfectly reasonable to bring them and then tell me to play better when I don’t know how to use blight power properly

Sounds unlucky to have gotten Ormond, a hatch offering, a key, and have been playing Blight before you were used to him.

Regardless, having all five gens done only skips the exit gate opening part. That's the only way 4 people would have escaped out of the hatch together- you already were at the point that most people would have considered an almost sure loss (unless you had Remember Me/Blood Warden/NOED/etc)

Sorry if they were rude to you, but I personally wouldn't really take it to heart.

  • @MadLordJack said:

The amount of "I told you so" that is going to be going around the community in a week already has me cringing. I'd be willing to bet that you are only the first of very, very many to wake up to Blight's capabilities.

I just told myself to ignore everyone saying Blight was weak in the beginning. Mobility is a huge part of what makes a top tier in this game and Blight has ridiculous amounts of it, along with being able to keep up in chases really well. That's ignoring his add-ons that some people already consider to be borderline OP (his GREEN aura reveal add on... WHEW!)

I just could never see him being bad with his kit lmao; hard to learn, sure, but bad? Nuh-uh.

@TheClownIsKing , glad to see you have changed your mind about him, especially after seeing all your posts saying you didn't like him! I haven't played Blight yet (swearing off killer until cross platform progression frees me from the Switch cross play killer hellscape) but he does look incredibly fun to play as.

  • NOT Haddonfield 😭😭 it's my absolute favorite map, purely based on visuals and aesthetic, and I hate thinking of it changing much. With how many killer mains complain about how much they hate the map, though, I can only imagine it's probably next in line for a rework. I hope they keep the look and the cool blue tones, though!

As for maps I'm actually looking forward to, I think a Coldwind rework will be interesting. I don't mind the corn being kept simply because I would love to see what a new appearance for it would look like.

Red Forest also seems like it could be really cool, especially if they change Temple of Purgation to be more fitting to Plague.

  • Yes, yes, yes, a million times yes.

I play on switch and I also have a PC. But until I grind this rift pass out/cross platform progression is implemented, I'm spending all my play time on Switch.

It's mainly the frame drops that are the issue. And for some reason, pc killer hits just ignore my dead hards regardless of the fact that I'm timing the same as I always did before crossplay, and I get hit through windows and vaults that I never used to get hit through (and this is without getting dedicated!) I don't know what the issue is there but it has been very noticeable to me.

I've completely dropped killer for now (outside of forcing myself to get killer rift challenges done) as it takes forever to find killer matches with crossplay off and I just can't handle PC players with my crusty Switch Doctor LMAO

I don't mind it all TOO much at this point as I know I'm just waiting until I can transfer my Switch account data to my newer PC account. But my ability to perform against PC players is definitely lower than my ability to perform against other console killers- and believe me, the difference is very apparent and noticeable in game.

  • Hmm... nah!

Half the allure of DS is for situations just like these. If I play well the whole match and maybe don't even get hooked until EGC after, say, NOED activates on the last available totem and I go down while healthy, I don't really think it's that cool or fair for the perk I brought to be completely useless once I ACTUALLY need it to do what I brought it in for.

If you have such a problem with DS in the endgame, eat the DS early. I don't play killer often but my boyfriend does and he has no problem with eating DS for breakfast, lunch, and dinner when he gets the chance. If you don't like feeling like a tunneler, you can drop/slug the person you tunneled for DS if they didn't end up having it, or you can drop the chase on the person that DS'd you. Or you simply can re-hook them if you want, it is your choice. Win/win, now you don't have to deal with their DS late game.

The problem is that the game just...doesn't feel set up for SWF. It wasn't built for it. It was clearly built for randos vs a killer. Both thematically and mechanically.

SWF was something tacked on and now you have a lose/lose - where premade stompcomps will become nastier and more prevalent, making killers either quit, go survivor themselves or become amazingly bitter and unfun to play against.

Tacked on? It was planned from the beginning and only delayed 3 weeks after the game was released- due to technical issues with implementing it. Companies who make multi player games in this day and age aren't usually unaware of the fact that most people will voice chat with each other if they're able to play together, and BHVR is no exception.

Pre-game chat also completely enables survivors in a lobby to add each other on outside voice chats if they so wish- which further relieves BHVR of the work of adding their own native voice chat.

  • @Justalittlepeeck said:

Water isn't as wet as everybody thinks.

Saying that SWF isn't OP, when it literally enables legal cheating via using voice communication in a game designed around not having voice communication is the dumbest thing I heard in last week.

SWF was put in a month after the game came out (after being planned from the beginning and only being delayed due to technical issues)... do you really think the devs thought "wow... NONE of these people will be communicating outside of this game... huh? Discord? XBox and PS4 party chat??? I've never heard of that... what do you MEAN these survivors are TALKING TO EACH OTHER WHILE PLAYING!?!?!?!"

It's not like they don't have their own discord server with voice channels for SWF communications. Calling voice comms "legal cheating" is just great exaggeration. I highly doubt that the reason they don't have voice communication in their game is for much reason other than that they just never bothered to put it in when they didn't have to. Even without native voice chat, they have pre-game lobby chat for survivors to have a bit of coordination beforehand- you can literally voice chat with randoms with ease if you were so inclined because you can just exchange discord usernames in the pre-game lobby and make a quick chat for that game if you wish to, or jump in the same discord voice channel. Most people just don't want to. When I solo queue I'm not interested in having voice comms with randoms and I actually appreciate that this is one of the few games that voice chat with random teammates doesn't feel somewhat forced/required.

  • LOL I'm gonna use Ash just cause of this post. Imagine telling people they can't use any of the killers that have the DS bug right now/any other bug. Wouldn't that be silly?

  • Maybe because they're two totally different things dealing with completely different parts of the game? Why on earth would DS need to be nerfed because Ruin got nerfed?

    1. Toolboxes got nerfed

    2. Survivors working on gens together got nerfed

    3. Great skill check progression bonus got nerfed

    4. Several maps got changed so that it would be easier for killers to waste less time traversing the map AND on braindead loop chases

Ruin may have gotten nerfed, but it brought along several survivor nerfs. And current Ruin is still very good, and like @AhoyWolf mentioned, it IS more consistent against players of every skill level.

  • It's not that hard- I got lucky and was able to complete it in just a few games. If you have trouble getting people to leave before you, pointing at the escape point in the exit gate usually gets them to leave before you. You can probably get it done within a few matches, even if only 2 people escape (or 1, if you're on the hook).

If you have trouble even getting to the point where the exit gates are open, hit up the official DBD discord server for an SWF group- they have channels specifically for it.

While you are on the Hook, or while another Survivor is on the hook, Camaraderie activates.

If another Survivor is within 16 metres of your Hook, the Phase timer is paused for 30 seconds.

Any Survivor within 16 metres of your Hook gains a 5/6/7 % Haste Status Effect.

If you are within 16 metres of the Hook, the Phase timer is paused for 30 seconds.

While you are within 16 metres of the Hook, gain a 5/6/7 % Haste Status Effect.

For now, I have this. Applying the same treatment as Kindred seems to be consensus, I add a little bonus.

That would make it a perk actually worth taking. And it would be useful in both solo and SWF!

yet l found someone early in the match and downed someone quick after hooking him so what difference does it really make

A lot of difference, obviously. Maybe you don't need tracking perks, but this post is literally proving WHY you need at least gen defense perks. I second everyone else who is saying that you should have Corrupt. Ruin is also a good pick for Myers as even though he has poor mobility, he's really good at chasing people off gens because they don't want to feed him to tier 3. Discordance also seems to be a popular pick for Myers for obvious reasons (two survivors in one spot? More stalk! Also would have been helpful against Prove Thyself)

You definitely could get rid of a couple of your chase perks and replace them with anything else for gen defense.

That said, I'm not surprised that you had several gens fly by. With Prove Thyself and toolboxes, they definitely were planning on getting gens done fast. Most people don't run builds for gen rushing, but it does happen sometimes and there isn't much you can do about it if they dedicate their builds and gameplay to it (without anti gen rush perks and meticulous gen protection play). ESPECIALLY if you play a character like Myers who has a slow start.

  • @NoRage said:

I have a good idea yeah : Deleting the tool box or add a different item in game that you can only search in game like in chests or other places that allow you to repair gens (that's an idea i took from the game named soul at stakes kinda) so gens won't be rushed and survivor won't press M1 the whole game and will actually move their asses a little .

But i'm pretty sure this idea will be bad because 'No survivor aren't supposed to move their asses , we're too lazy , No because we can't gen rush anymore .'

Toolboxes already got nerfed to the point that some of them aren't even worth taking anymore, unless you bring BNP, double charges, or are planning on using the toolbox as a sabotage toolbox.

  • @MadLordJack said:

Does premade mean SWF? Where did this term come from? I have literally never heard it before a week ago

Off the top of my head, the streamer/youtuber Fungoose is one of the people who has been saying "premade" instead of SWF. Perhaps it is gaining popularity as a term from his videos, or he is only one of the few who has been saying it as of lately?

    Also, to OP;

"...and is likely going to end up with not such good effects in the long term"

I'm PRETTY SURE that SWF/premade/whatevertermyouprefer has been in the game since the beginning (or, to be slightly more exact... a month since it's release?) It's not at all a new thing and idk why people act like it is.

Your idea only works for people who are actually skilled at the game. And half the pc killers I run into at red ranks think groups of solo queue players are SWF... punishing people for playing SWF isn't gonna help killers who are less skilled than every single one of the four better players who are the survivor role in their matches.

Most SWF can't even handle a killer that is much above their ranks. I know my usual SWF can't- two of us have around 900 hours each, and then the other two have about 100-150 hours each. If we got red rank sickos every single game, none of us would ever escape. We had trouble when the newer survivors were purple rank (on switch LOL) and we were getting red rank PC players- nearly every single game was a 3k-4k. No amount of communication is going to save half the SWF teams out there when you consider that a good portion of them are brown ranks who just got the game, green ranks who have played a bit longer but still don't even know the difference between medium and fast vaults, that you can get 3 genned, etc., and teams like mine where 2 of the survivors play together often/are passionate and knowledgeable about the game and then add on random low rank friends who want to play with them.

I don't think your idea is a bad idea, overall- I just think that it unfortunately isn't quite as practical as it sounds when you consider that there are tons of 4 man SWFs, 3 man SWFs, etc., who are made up of bots. At the very least, I don't think SWFs should constantly be matched up with the lowest rank of their group but I'd hate to see innocent SWFs get stomped out by higher rank killers just because everyone on the forum thinks that SWF is the devil :/

  • How often do yall run into a team with OoO that wrecks you? Be honest.

  • I think the problem with some of "default" perks is that they're meant to be helpful for newer survivors... and therefore have their place without necessarily demanding a buff. Deerstalker is not worth taking once you have a better idea of the game and where a survivor is likely to crawl (or have a better ability to listen to their sounds). But it's totally worth taking for killers who are new enough to the game that they literally lose survivors if they hit them over a vault and have to go around to look for them.

  • I wonder what perks will be changed first! Excited to see, hoping there won't be any crazy nerfs.

if he is the same how come I haven't seen a single billy for the past 2weeks,

    when I played 4hours a day?

we all know hes fked, just stop...

I've seen just as many Billys as I've seen Spirits so????????????????????? Your example is anecdotal. Billy also was less popular on console due to being a slightly more difficult to handle on controller and crossplay was implemented about the same time. So the pool of available Billys out chainsawing about has been watered down thanks to crossplay killers not picking him but still playing, if that makes sense?

  • I am struggling to understand what you mean... unless you're talking about vaults that prevent fast vaults from either side???

This is why the PTB exists, after all. If we had a way of testing this sort of thing, then it would be easier to get a better sense of what's needed.

I hope they'll consider changing how her phasing cues work sometime in the near future, then. I don't think she needs a lot of tweaking, she still can stay strong and one of the strongest in the game, but at this point she does really well against top level, and then absolutely stomps low level. And I don't think you have to be super skilled with her to stomp people out, which is an issue I have with her. If you get choked out by a Nurse, at least you know the player is skilled and put in a good amount of time to learning their killer of choice. If you lose to a Stridor Spirit with good headphones... well... you can't be sure LOL

  • Yes and it's DISGUSTING. I went up against a Huntress and I'd already be around the corner when I'd get hit by a hatchet. The rest of the game, I was having trouble getting where I was going just because I would get pulled back ever so slightly. Seemed like there were invisible collisions everywhere at random during the rest of my games, too. My friends also complained about it. I almost didn't want to play after a few games, but it randomly would get better here and there so I kept playing LOL

So. Spirit denies Survivors any form of information with her Husk and it's Terror Radius.

As it stands, Spirit as TONNES of information between scratch marks, blood and still retaining the ability to hear Survivors, something they cannot do, then add Stridor on top of that and certain PC Spirits adjusting audio settings to the point where a set of headphones may as well be an aura reading perk in an unknown 5th slot. If the Spirit can no longer hear Survivors while she is phasing, then that would alleviate most of the problems associated with going against a Spirit.

Maybe not as far as you want it... but I think her volume while phasing should at least be lowered. Iron Will is only a counter to her if she doesn't have Stridor (which plenty of spirits run anyways- worth the perk slot with how quickly it can shut down chases). If her audio was lowered by 50% while phasing, Stridor would still make it 150%, 50% for IW, but maybe not crazy broken, and Spirit mains certainly couldn't immediately jump to crying about big nerfs. I think also making her footsteps louder would be a good addition. At this point she just has a bit of everything... and while I'm not opposed to her being very strong, I just wish she required SLIGHTLY more skill instead of slapping Stridor on (or changing headset sounds) and calling it a day.

  • I haven't had the fun of going up against this add-on (haven't played too much in the past few days) but I'm definitely surprised that not only isn't it iridescent, it isn't even ultra rare- it's just RARE! I think it's an incredibly cool add on but it is surely deserving of a higher rarity. If not red, then at least purple or something hahaha

Also... can't stand how half the people here love to say the Blight is weak... give him a little more time before you make that judgment LOL

  • The problem with a game so devoid of expression/emotes is that tbagging tends to be the go-to for everything. I personally understand that it is, more often than not, considered disrespectful to the killer but a LOT of newer players don't think of it that way 100% of the time.

I myself will tbag the killer in a non disrespectful way here and there- no idea if the killer gets it or not but I'd assume so considering the situations (accidentally and horribly sandbagging a teammate, standing at a second story window while they're looking at me from the ground, when I land on something a survivor doesn't usually land on [box, rock, etc]). I don't really feel like it's my problem if the killer takes it the wrong way if I'm trying to "meme" with them since I have very few other options to catch their attention otherwise (cause pointing DEFINITELY seems ruder in certain situations LOL).

Anyways, my point is just that tbagging isn't always malicious- certain situations it almost always is, other situations not so much, and then some people just don't understand yet what it means to a killer.

  • I always try to save if I can, but I'm not gonna put my neck TOO far out for an awful player. It sucks to not get saved (I've had matches where I absolutely carried the team [somehow] and when I finally got hooked, nobody did anything to save me) but if you didn't add much value to the game AND there is a strong chance I'll get screwed over by saving you, someone else is gonna have to get you because it ain't gonna be me.

Gen rats get saved, looping sickos get saved, and people who saved/healed me always get saved. Otherwise, just not completely at the top of my priority list, especially if there are plenty of others left in the trial to possibly go for them.

As someone who loves playing pyramid head and loves playing against pyramid head, his cage and m1/m2 switch is way more situational and rarer than I feel like the forums makes it out to be. I have to try really hard with environment add-ons to get people into cages, it's basically just looping punishment. The only time I saw the cage counter DS was with a tunneler. We still had 3 escapes with noed up.

It might be rare to you but idk how often you play survivor. Every single time I go against a GOOD PH I'm just screwed if I'm already injured at a window (and sometimes a pallet).

I personally don't care about the cages except for how much PH seems to love to tunnel (even without auras, it's really easy for PH to KNOW where you're gonna go based on where he cages you and thus be able to pull up on you easily). Otherwise, I don't really mind DS and BT being countered. It's just tough to deal with actual tunnelers (which, like I mentioned, a lot of PHs seem to be, unfortunately)

My only desired change to him would be for it have to be a little bit more of a committment for him to m1/m2 switch. Something closer to the likes of Huntress, and further from Deathslinger, you know? If he fakes an M2 he loses almost nothing if a survivor calls it out because of how quickly he can just smack them anyway.

In the end, though, I'm not currently too bothered by PH- I still care way more about Stridor Spirits and M&A Deathslingers. I'd rather see Spirit changed before they touch PH LMAO

All they need to do is if they want to mess with the zoning they need to make tormenting and his punishment of the damned more consistent to make use of, otherwise he will frankly suck with his current drawbacks..not a fan of bhvr touching the better killers but..sadly one side of the community holds the majority vote..not exactly fair but it's how it is..that being said if they somehow manage to expand pyramid heads tool kit so he can have more outplay potential I'm for it , I get tired of never feeling rewarded for well calculated shots

If you wanna feel rewarded for shots, just make sure you go up against a lobby of Switch players 😭😭 Switch players have no rights and every single time I go against a PC PH, I get hit by POTDs that I should NOT be getting hit by LOL

  • Would you rather them put the map and key on last second after everyone has readied up?

  • Wait, can I see a screenshot of Blight's scattered body??? LMAOO

Also, agree. There is an absurd amount of bugs in this patch. I'm a little peeved but I do love the game regardless and know it probably won't be long before they fix everything up :0

  • Omg wait this is exactly what just happened to my boyfriend when he opened a locker to grab a Meg out of it. He just kept shaking in place. The Meg didn't even get grabbed out of the locker, either- she eventually jumped out and he hit her and she crawled away and got healed.

  • I'm watching my boyfriend play a match with Myers on Blood Lodge and he's currently stuck after trying to open a locker with a Meg in it 😐😐😐 He literally can't do anything to escape, he just keeps shaking in place whenever he tries to move. It doesn't even give him the option to open the locker

I don't usually get tight over game bugs but it's a little frustrating how many completely awful bugs this patch has. It's very frustrating for killers right now with how many bugs they're experiencing.

And here's a survivor bug that is easily replicable on the Rancid Abattoir map:

  • Mmm, nah.

Spine Chill is fine. Obviously it's annoying (if you couldn't tell from how Jill10230 keeps posting around everywhere on the forum about how badly they want the perk nerfed) but it is fairly easily counterable.

Survivors already have a limited pool of actually meta/useful perks to use- I don't at all support anything that would encourage that list of good perks to become smaller tbh

  • 1. There is a visual indicator for when the Whispers perk is active- the perk icon lights up.

    2. I believe this is on purpose- Corrupt Purge is one of the strongest powers in the game while active (to the point that many players will prefer to play injured the entire game rather than give Plague more fountains) and the sounds that infected survivors make themselves are very loud. The loud whispers while she has Corrupt Purge (besides being very cool) makes it so that infected survivors still have a chance to play a little bit stealthy.

  • I hope so! I came over to the forum to ask the exact same question because I'm not seeing anything about it (besides your post)

I haven't heard anything about cross platform progression since they first confirmed it a few weeks ago. Hope you get a definitive answer on your post because I'm DYING to switch from switch to PC LOL

I'm just collecting stats on my games (from both sides) and the double hooking is actually super rare. Most of the times it is slugging and they are healed up again

But that's BECAUSE of DS. Killers respect it at this point. I guarantee that you would see different results if DS didn't exist :/

  • I don't USUALLY have trouble revealing Ghostface, but every so often I'll have a game against him where I CANNOT reveal him before he exposes me. It's infuriating, especially since I generally have no trouble as long as I'm aware of my surroundings because I do know how to reveal him properly.

    .

I've wondered if it was add-ons but there has never been any consistency at the end game with what add-ons they've had. The last time I went against a Ghostface he didn't have any add ons that would have affected his stalk, but both my boyfriend and I had trouble revealing him- it was 4 or 5 times that game where we got exposed even when trying to reveal him and it was really weird.

  • Exit gate spawns can be ROUGH for survivor sometimes. I had a game in the past where they spawned in a corner a jungle gym or two away from each other and it would have been literally impossible to escape through the gates as the last survivor. I don't remember how that match ended, just that I was shocked by how incredibly close the gates spawned together. You could look at the other gate while standing at one of them without ANY obstruction.

Closing the hatch I don't have an issue with, nor hooking survivors in end game. I do have an issue with things such as "blind/.....burn a killer 5 times" or "kill all 4 survivors by an means". No wonder there's been a lot of mori's recently.

Thing is, to move up to the next set of challenges, I have to at least one of the above - I'm rubbish with a flashlight and think it's just nasty to be constantly trying to blind killers, so I unless I get lucky with a 4K, I guess I'll have to mori my way to the next rift tome.

Or just not bother trying to get there

LOL I'm trash with a flash light, too- I got lucky the other day when I loaded into a match with an AFK Demo. I just borrowed (wasted 😭) my boyfriend's flashlight and blinded the AFK Demo 4 times in a row after having had the challenge on for dozens of games and only getting one blind LMAO

More directly on topic, I don't mind the tough challenges. I think that's the point as you go deeper into the tome- it isn't supposed to be a walk in the park and I appreciate the effort to force a survivor or killer out of their comfort zone with some of the challenges. It IS annoying to have the last challenge before reaching the end of the particular level be extremely difficult, though, I will give you that.

The issue with the whole "DS should deactivate when someone else is hooked argument" is that there's a lot of easy ways around that.

Situation 1: I'm hook and I have DS. Partner farms me in front of a Bubba with a revved up chainsaw and both of us go down. Killer hooks other person first and that deactivates MY DS through no fault of my own.

Situation 2: I get farmed in front of the killer by an injured survivor and I get slugged. The killer catches up to the other person pretty quickly, knocks them down and hooks them. My DS would be deactivated and I've only really been off the hook for maybe 20 seconds. Again through no fault of my own, I don't get to use my perk even though I was still tunneled.

Situation 3: Killer downs someone while a 3rd partner pulls me off a hook. The killer decides to tunnel me, slug me, go hook the other person they slugged to deactivate my DS and then comes back to me.

That condition just doesn't work because there's so many way to cheese around it

Tea... I've made the same argument to people on the forums here. DS HAS counterplay. It's in a good spot where it is, no matter how mad some people are about not being able to get free re-hooks.

I don't like anyone's idea for it lasting only 30s unless you get into a chase with the killer within those 30 seconds, either, because that's also easily cheesable by ending the chase but still following. I just don't see it working out well.

Wanting it to deactivate in lockers is stupid, too, because at this point it's the only counterplay to getting instantly mori'd off first hook LMAO

Anyways, as a survivor main, I rarely see people use DS aggressively in games. 95% of the time it's used as an anti-tunneling perk. And y'all, it wasn't originally created as an anti-tunneling perk- it activated upon pickup for the obsession and once you wiggled to a certain percentage of the wiggle bar for the non obsessions. There's not really an argument to be had there because by the way the original perk worked, using DS aggressively is also fair game.

Me personally? I didn't run DS until crossplay was implemented. It either saves your butt or is a complete waste of a perk slot and I DON'T LIKE that it's on me as a survivor to waste a perk slot on something to prevent a killer from tunneling me out of the game ASAP. I would 100% prefer to run a fun perk instead of DS but if I get multiple tunnelers in a row, DS is going on.
