But if it's not the 'Amusement Tax' then I assume you're seeing Steam's price change because of regional pricing. Dead By Daylight only shows Auric Cell prices in USD I believe, but I could be wrong about that. The price in-game may appear different to the true price.

it says it speeds up recovery by about 55%, not 75%.

It doesn't work how you assume it does.
Its kinda misleading, it does nearly double the recovery speed from 2.1 to 1.2 seconds and not reduce the amount by 75% (that'd be 0,53s). -

2. Do you have any numbers that prove that Killers usually find it first? The Hatch usually spawns when multiple survivors are alive, at that point no Killer is going to ever bother looking for it, unlike survivors who already know that the odds are stacked against them, and if they are on comms then i'd say the chances to find it first are indeed in their favor.
