  • My favorites aren't on this list (Kyoya Suda and Isaac Clarke) and I don't recognize most of these characters. I guess the ones here I want to see the most are Jim Hooper (even though he's more legendary skin material to me) and Shaggy.

  • Killers are finally the power role, Survivors would beg for Shadowborn to be basekit (as it's now a general survivor perk, obviously), Trap killers would be buffed a lot (as survivors can't see a Snare on the opposite side of the wall for example), and worse yet finding stuff is hard and the Generators move around so survivors can't even reliably track gens.

  • Imagine 99'ing a gen to heal an injured survivor (so it doesn't pop letting the killer know you're there and potentially go to it and they find an injured survivor) just to finish the heal and the gen has been moved. 10/10, this should be added to the game immediately.

My suggestion was for DBD because this is a DBD forum, if this was a forum about BHVR products in general then I can see why you would have assumed that it was an idea for a visual novel. The Cupid's Arrow suggestion is cute, although the Killer shouldn't be rewarded for killing the Arrow'd or Valentine'd survivor. It's an event about togetherness and closeness. The killer should be rewarded for killing everyone except the survivor they love.

I mainly did the killer thing because I kinda wanted a Broken Heart charm, although in hindsight it's fair to say Valentine's day is NOT the day to add it.

Since killer can't pick up items, if a Survivor stabs a killer with Cupid's arrow and they escape both get a charm as well. I do want 2 charms but heartbroken charm obviously makes no sense, so how about if a Survivor and Killer fall in love it's a realistic looking human heart as a charm (still shows love, but is a bit disturbing)

  • As much as it pains me to say it, stop adding goofy cosmetics to make it scarier. It's hard to be immersed in a creepy environment when these are your teammates and this is the killer.

I believe it would work better if it were in keeping with the rarity of the charm.

    Brown: 500

    Yellow: 1000

    Green: 1500

    Purple: 2000

    ultra rare: 2500 until 7200

    What do you think?

I heard your idea and I agree with it, I'm just saying those charms (the 5 tier recolor charms) SHOULD be exclusive to the rift, but only those charms, every other charm shouldn't be.

  • Gonna be honest, I was a bit disappointed because I thought you were going to request a visual novel dating sim (like Lovers of Aether). But I do think a Valentine's day event could be good, but I don't think that's the way it should go.

Imagine if during EGC a new event item which can't be taken out of a trial, called "Cupid's Arrow", would spawn around the map. You can't use it on yourself, but you can use it on another survivor (doesn't give them the charm), and if that survivor also uses a Cupid's Arrow on you as well both of you get the charm (looks kinda like this 💗) (Survivor doesn't need to escape to get charm, they just need to be in love with another survivors who also loves them)

Meanwhile, if the Killer kills someone in love they get a charm as well (looks kinda like this 💔)

Despite charms only being obtainable through one side, the charms are universal so both sides can use the charms

  • Now that I completely stopped using Spine Chill I don't really have a crutch perk to remove.

I guess while it isn't necessarily a crutch, I can remove For The People my next three games.

First of all devs said they removing mori offerings soon.

Second of all, why are you worried about moris still? They only work on deathhook, they're useless. No one uses them.

also survivors can stack map offering, fog, longer hooks and hatch blueprint. So survivors are allowed 4 offerings? That's fair

Gonna be honest, I haven't faced a Mori so long I kinda forgot about the nerf (I guess I just thought Killers started being more nice all of a sudden for some reason) and I didn't know about Devs removing them. Okay, I guess I'm okay with 2 Offerings for killer.

  • @SkeletalElite said:

    I hope they don't

I'd rather the charms stay exclusive to show veterancy.

I understand, but I have an idea to counter this.

You know the 5 tier recolor charms everyone hates

    image.png image.png image.png image.png image.png

give these an actual use, something to make them useable by people (like to show veterans) by making THESE exclusive to rifts (not available in the charm shop). So if we miss out on a good charm we can still get it later, but people from original rifts can still show it off.

  • I just think the PERKS MADE FOR BEGINNERS shouldn't be hidden behind a paywall/tedious amount of grinding. They're beginner perks, let beginners get them.

  • You want killers to be able to put both a Mori and map offering?

  • As an Ace main, I'd get rid of the chapter Of Flesh and Mud in a heartbeat if it means Hag wasn't in the game.

  • Detectives Hunch is the most overrated perk in the game and is borderline useless to good players. I don't understand the love of it and how people are saying it's "underrated." It shows you things you should probably know already within not a great distance for only 10 seconds. There are far better information perks like Windows of Opportunity (which can be life saving at times), Kindred (a perk I also think is a bit overrated but it's at least useful), even Wake Up! (if you weren't paying attention to exit gate locations, this also can save lives with a neat bonus speed to opening exit gates). It's not even Tapp's best perk, it's his worst. Tenacity has some fun build opportunities and Stake Out is great for newer players and it makes gens progress faster.

  • imo, just move Self-Care up a tier and it'd be a perfect tier list (I feel Self-Care gets unfairly hated just because of the players that use it. It's great for farming Survival Points, isn't based on any conditions or restrictions [like how Inner Strength can only activate 5 times per trial as example], and can be great if nobody's around to help and you NEED to be healed). It's definitely not a weak perk.

  • I remember a quote from the devs a while ago (at least I think so, my mind might be making this up) that licensed characters were unlikely for tomes because you have to pay for them and they want people to be able to finish archives for free (even if you have to grind a ridiculous amount for an original character, it's still technically possible to get them for free). Bill, being the only licensed character in the tome, is a unique exception because he IS free so there isn't a problem with people being forced to pay.

So sad as it is to say, I don't think it's possible right now.

  • hag (lisa sherwood (so bad she doesn't deserve to have her name capitalized))

  • I was trying to do the Power Moves achievement, listed below in the spoiler tab for those unaware, and I was having a good game. I did my gen, this was 2 escapes in after 10 games, the gens were done, all I needed to do was escape. I got a freaking lag spike. I saw the gate, it was opened, I was running to it with the killer behind me, then I just kept teleporting back to the point I was even outside to the right of the gate and then got downed. I had good internet the entire game except this one specific instance and I died because of it.

    Power Moves

Equip 0 perks, repair generators for a total of 1 full repair and escape 8 times in public matches

  • If I had to pick I'd say a perk that fits my personality well and also a perk I use quite often.

So either For The People or Bond.

Honorable Mentions of DBD Tattoos that didn't make the cut:

DBD Logo: I do love the game, but I just feel picking the logo would be a boring choice

Fixated: Also fits me well and I use it a lot, I just think out of context 2 feet would be a weird tattoo

Calm Spirit: I try to be calm but I admittedly have anger problems from time to time. While not frequent enough I should be worried about and I usually calm down fast, I feel it's often enough to not get me a Calm Spirit tattoo.

And didn’t he give a global sound que when he went into night shroud?

Yep, that also. Instantly taken out of power when looked at for less than a second and wasn't stealthy at all for a stealth killer.

  • @GannTM said:

I wasn’t around when Ghostface was on the PTB. Can someone explain to me what made him so bad?

Basically survivors didn't need to look at Ghostface for a bit. If Ghostface was on a survivors screen at all they were instantly taken out of their power (might be exaggerating a bit because it's ben a while since. But basically it was really bad)

  • Ghostface didn't even have a power. Sure he's 115% (5% faster than Trickster) but at least Trickster had a power that could theoretically injure someone.

You just can't see the signs & the heavy hints the devs are dropping. I think people are just choosing to be oblivious at this point.

I guess I can't really argue so I'll just leave it at this. As a fan of Smash Bros. my entire life basically, I no longer trust fan speculation much and the only way for me to think Candyman is coming is to see actual gameplay of him (and no, not just him in a lobby screen, I seen that enough especially with the Rayman leak. Actual gameplay in a match like the Ghostface leak)

  • Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲▼

The Next Super Smash Bros. Game will have Waluigi

All signs point towards Waluigi getting in Smash Bros. He was 100% going to be released alongside Wario, but then the time constraint of Brawl pushed him, therefore his fighter release. Ridley was released before him, because Metroid is a major franchise that was about to release a game (and doesn't have enough Fighters) & why would Sakurai miss an opportunity like that? Anyone who disagrees & thinks it'll be someone else is delusional at this point.

Honestly, Candyman could come but if Candyman did get in next chapter it's just because you got extremely lucky this time. There have been 8 4 chapter releases since the 4th Anniversary, and each chapter people have been saying "Candyman will come as the next chapter" since then. There's no substantial evidence Candyman is even coming to DBD. That April Fools on discord where everything was a bee? That's likely a red herring meant to confuse fans. The 4th Anniversary logo looking like a hook? No, in hindsight that was obviously a pyramid head meant to be Pyramid Head (if it was meant to be anything at all).

It's okay to be a fan of Candyman and want him in DBD, that's fine, just don't call people delusional for not believing in something that's likely not true and push literally nothing but fan speculation as objective fact.

Edit: 4 chapters released since 4th Anniversary, I can't believe I missed that for a second and actually put down 8

  • Link (The Legend of Zelda)

    image.png

(preferred version of default appearance is Twilight Princess, fairly basic idea of Link when you think of him [unlike how BoTW Link is now Blue? No, Link obviously wears Green this has been established] but still dark enough to kinda fit in DBD imo, plus Twilight Princess was my first Zelda game so it's most likely bias affecting me.)

  • That'd be the equivalent of making Self-Care an exhaustion perk. No

  • Nemesis should say S.T.A.R.S. for every millisecond he's in a chase with Jill or Chris.

  • Now now, crazy idea. Lets say some objects left behind from a killer were to remain (like Trapper's traps, or Pig's traps. Because it wouldn't be fair to have that much set up lead to nothing). So now we're Nemesis, and when we leave we leave behind contamination, vaccines, and... Zombies? Then suddenly we're someone else, maybe Ghostface trying to creep people out and get them to run into zombies. Now, if the Queue system allows us to pick who we want could we go Nemesis again? Last theoretical of this theoretical situation, could the killer's assets reset?

My idea, is it possible to get 4 Zombies? Could we go further, could we have around 10 of them? Would this be at all possible?

  • Thinking about it strategically, Haddonfield is a single map and in my opinion only Mother's Dwelling is a problem map (Temple is fine). Meanwhile, both the Swamp maps are garbage so we (hopefully) fix 2 maps going with Backwater.

  • Best Way To Buff Trapper

When a survivor falls from a great height 10 times (Balance Landing counters this) or a survivor steps in a bear trap, a new status effect is placed onto them.

New Status: Having a broken leg

The Having A Broken Leg status effect makes survivors physically incapable of running, and walk slower (don't know numbers, but enough to where having tier 3 fixated makes you walk normal speed). When a survivor gets this status effect, they will never be able to remove it and each time they fall from a height they do a 5 minute animation of them screaming in pain.

  • As a huge Stranger Things fan, being terrible at Demogorgon physically hurts me.

Killer legendaries are getting removed in the next update, devs probably aren't looking into giving them unique aspects.

No, some are just being renamed Ultra Rares because the devs want Legendaries to be for licensed characters (BHVR originals like Minitaur and Krampus are being Ultra Rares so they aren't confused with licensed characters). The Mordeo (Huntress) and The Look-See (Doctor) are still going to be legendary skins.

I think separated cosmetics for torso and legs will be worth the price.

For example we could get this two full set for Claire:

This, I would do anything to be able to use Season 3 Jonathan (not because he was my favorite in that season, in fact him in Season 1 is probably my favorite, but just look at that and tell me you don't want to play as that).

  • Charms are the Realm equivalent of Pokémon/Yu-Gi-Oh!/Magic: The Gathering/etc. cards.

Basically while survivors are around the campfire, one person eventually found a charm laying around somewhere and eventually it became the big thing around the realm because literally what else would they do (after all they been there for what feels like an eternity, you need to cling onto anything to push onward). So survivors wearing charms in trial are basically them showing off their most prized collections, and killers doing so because they also are into collecting charms.

  • This was a tough one, and boy howdy did I mean it when I said it was a tough one. After thinking, I decided G N O M E

    image.png
    Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲▼

Firstly, the way you got it was a very fun event. It's simple, doesn't cause survivors to throw games (unlike the crowns where a lot of survivors might prioritize crowns over gens, Gnome Chompski only spawned during EGC so gens were prioritized), isn't tedious to get on everyone as you only need to do this once and it can go on licensed characters, and it was also fun to grab him (you had like 2 minutes to successfully find him and get out, that's a main thing that made it fun, the time constraint).

But ignoring the conditions, how is it overall? Well, I'm just a big fan of valve tbh and I like the thought of having a gnome with me as I find that funny.

Tl:dr: Getting the gnome was fun, and I find the idea of carrying a gnome with me funny.

  • Twins and Nemesis? No matter where you go, there's most likely something coming at you. Also, YAY!, now we can potentially have 5 survivors face camped at once!

  • Behind a fire fighter, a Skateboarder has been one of my most wanted archetypes in DBD. Heck, in that celebrity in DBD Poll a while back I picked Tony Hawk. We need a proper skater (not including Nea as her perks have nothing to do with skating) so we might as well get Isaac.

  • Beacon of Hope:

Despite how terrible the odds are, you stand up and continue fighting, inspiring those around you.

When 2 survivors are slugged and you're in the injured/healthy state, survivors can pick themselves up within a 12/16/20 meters of you.

    "Inspiration Quote" -Cheese

  • What do Ace, Jeff, Felix, Adam, and I think Dwight share? What do all of these survivors have in common? Aside from being the best survivors, what unites them? That's right, the formal suit.

What we need is more fancy suits so we can have more great (and dapper) survivors. After all, a Fancy Survivor is still suffering but at least looks good survivor (personally want Leon's Infinite Darkness skin, a Bill outfit where's he's a suit for whatever reason, basically call me the Purple Guy cause I have to put everyone in suits).

I believe at one point, early in the game's life luck did have a hand in the chest items. I could be wrong, but there is something luck related they removed at some point.

It was escape chances to get out of Trappers Trap. Now the only thing that effects a Traps chance of breaking out is Trappers Add-ons.

  • Gonna be honest, I forgot I even made this thread and got almost every perk on Bill.

With that being said, I'm now working on Jeff and Yui will come a bit after. Thanks for voting people.

Edit: Dang it, it's now a tie. I guess I'll wait till tomorrow to decide.

  • I would want and love a Castlevania chapter, I just don't know if it would work. Also, knowing it's from Konami means there's around a 100% chance the characters will only get linked sets from the store (and if there's anything I should've made clear now, it's that I despise linked sets).

But in the end, Castlevania is a really cool flipping license, sure to bring cool content, so if they can make it work and fit well in DBD I'd be happy with it.

  • Iron Will is Overrated:

Off The Record, Self-Preservation, Bite The Bullet, Self-Care (to work with Bite The Bullet)

A really dumb build where you try getting no injured noises in the least efficient way possible.

  • Personally love Desperate Measures, Borrowed Time, For The People, and Dead Hard.

It's a versatile altruism build meant to serve many functions (survivor on death hook? For The People and try to take aggro which can get to long chase because of Dead Hard. Killer camping? Hope my Desperate Measures can unhook them fast enough for me to not get downed, they get borrowed, I have Dead Hard, both hopefully escape. Every survivor is slugged? If healthy I can use FTP and try to get others up/take aggro for the other person to get the others up. If Injured, I just hope my 56% healing speed can get others up fast enough for us to recover).

  • Stranger Things for the absolute hype of the possibility of two survivors a chapter from now on, both Fixated and Inner Strength as some of my favorite perks, and Steve "The Hair" Harrington.

Edit: Somehow forgot to mention I was a huge fan of the show at the time, recently finished the latest season when the chapter was announced as well so that just added to my hype.

Absolutely not, this would make her garbage tier.

Just crouch, why is this so hard?

Crouching isn't hard it's just really, really, really boring. I would rather do literally anything else than crouch all game. Besides, teammates can be stupid, the amount of times I crouch walk to unhook a survivor just for another survivor to run over and trigger a trap is too much for my liking. So even if I crouch, that still doesn't mean my team will and everyone still dies even if I play good.

  • Whenever the Killer attempts to read your Aura, Distortion activates:

    • Your Aura will not be shown to the Killer.

Distortion does not activate when you are in the Dying State or in a Killer Trap

  • Where's the "It'd be nice for Custom Games" option? This shouldn't be in the actual game itself, but up to around 8 perks in Kill Your Friends would be a nice and fun time I imagine.

  • Had a hard time choosing between Quentin and Cheryl because both are to my knowledge the only survivors taken place after their story ended (basically, one for Leon or Jill is pointless because they're taken between the events of RE2 and 3. Steve and Nancy a bit before Season 3, etc.) so Quentin and Cheryl have interesting potential for stories after the events of their movie/game.

In the end I decided on Cheryl because I can think of more Silent Hill charms I would love over the amount of NOES charms I would love (like one of my most wanted charms of all time is a portable radio from Silent Hill). And also in hopes that because of the rift's structure, Cheryl would finally get an outfit that isn't linked (because you get the head, torso, and legs separately).
