  • The nerf to items that made it so add-ons can't carry over has indirectly buffed this massively to the point I feel it can't be said it's terrible. It's one of the few perks that can help you in the next trial (assuming you escape with a good item) so I feel for that and the ability to item farm can't make it bad. It's a situational perk that's value and use depends on the item and add-ons of the survivor.

  • Don't know if I should include him because he's licensed, but Bill only having 3 outfits (including default and prestige) is such a shame considering how influential he is to DBD (he's the first and only licensed character you get for free, first paragraph in the game, and first and only licensed character in featured in tomes. As well as bringing 2 of the best survivors perks, and Left Behind, in the game).

If I had to say for original characters, I agree it's Adam.

Epicer Idea: You know those 2 sets of 5 charms each rift, pictured below (best picture I could find so just ignore the meme part of it)

    image.png

What if, the Empty Gaps were just filled with MORE recolors of the same charm!?!?!? We could have a green one, and a blue one. Trust me, I know this, these are the fan favorite charms so if anything I think I'm being too generous with this idea.

  • Nope: Doctor. It's The Doctor, he has electric on his side. Simply looking at him would probably make you insane. He has a menacing stick. He clearly wants to hurt you. Scary.

Hope: Bill Overbeck. Very strong man despite his age so if we ever got mugged, they wouldn't think anything of Bill as he's "just an old man" and he could catch them off guard. He also has a tendency to sacrifice for others so if only 1 of us can escape alive I'm sure Bill would allow me to.

  • Lore: Bill is a bad, uh, butt American Veteran Soldier who kills zombies as easy as cracking eggs! Bill is a brave American who would sacrifice himself to save his friends and is again very cool!

In Game: Because Bill looks cool and has great perks and is free, new player typically gravitate towards him. Because of this most Bills are too scared to touch gens, have no idea what they're doing, and with Left Behind they will let their teammates die for hatch.

That's really the only one I can think of.

  • Either Kyoya Suda (Siren; picture below because I feel he's obscure enough to warrant a photo) or Coach (L4D2)

    image.png

  • Awesome, I'd love going up against Hex: Undying, Hex: Ruin, Thanatophobia, Sloppy, Hex: Thrill Of The Hunt, and Dying Light while the killer is also moving at 120% speed. That sounds like it'd be a fun time, please add them in now.

Edit: Oh, also. What would their add-ons even be? I legit can't think of one.

  • I maybe could've voted Resident Evil because of Nemesis' AI Zombies and the Brilliantly designed perk Flashbang (it's all a good perk should be. Not OP, rewards doing objectives, and fun), but I just hate Sets man. Aside from Legendary skins, Sets need to get the hell outta here, so the fact Leon and Jill seemingly will only use sets made me not vote them.

Plus, Stranger Things in my opinion was the most hype because of the constant teasing from BHVR and Netflix, and it's the first chapter to bring 2 survivors (yes, Resident Evil bringing Jill and Leon was hype and good choices, but at least I kind of expected it. With Stranger Things I was wrapping my head for days trying to figure out which singular character they would chose, and they brought TWO! nancy and STEVE).

  • I think it'd be faster to name the GOOD teammates you get. I'll start.

That one Dwight on Yamaoka that Flashbang saved me with the Flashbang I gave him

That one Jeff on Haddonfield that completed 2 gens while me and him were the only ones alive while I was being chased (good he didn't just hide and wait for hatch)

That one Feng where pretty much the reverse happened, she looped the killer for 2 gens while I was the only other survivor alive doing gens

Yeah, I can't think of anyone else.

  • Long Post by a man who knows almost nothing about SCP

    Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲▼

There are many possible candidates for killer and survivor and that's particularly why I want it.

Most of the licenses were pretty shut cases when the got in (what I mean is of course the Halloween Chapter would bring Laurie and Michael, if any L4D survivor were to be introduced of course it'd be the one who died, obviously the Silent Hill chapter would bring Pyramid Head and Cheryl being the fan favorite out of the original 3 protagonists, they'd be stupid to not bring the 2 survivors who been the most games and the most iconic villain of the series in the Resident Evil chapter). Meanwhile with SCP I feel like it'd be basically impossible to tell who the characters would be.

No matter who the survivor, we will get a new archetype not present in the game (whether it's a D-Class that could potentially be the Protagonist of SCP Containment Breach, we'd get our first prisoner. And of course we could also get a scientist which we don't have). Finally with too many SCP to chose from the killer(s?) could bring a lot of new to the table.

My other thing, I don't know about the mumbo jumbo that goes on with the license with SCP, but I think it could have the potential to be free? If that's the case, we could get a rift for the characters and the charms that would come out of it would be amazing (imagine if instead of those boring 5 tier recolor charms every main survivor and killer gets, we progressively go through to get better keycards. And multiple SCPs could get figurines, I'd kill for SCP-999 to get a charm)

  • I refuse to vote on account of Ace not being on the list.

You don't care about having fun killers to play against? Personally I prefer that when I am on survivor. But I play survivor VERY casually. I am the teammate everyone fears having on their squad.

As long as it isn't another Trap Killer or Killer with unrealistic counter-play (Spirit) I'm fine.

  • I'm a very altruistic player, I love doing Altruistic plays (which is why Yun-Jin is currently the only survivor I don't own and don't plan to) so I'm hoping the next survivor also has a perk (or multiple) that could be used for altruism.

I don't know how unlikely it'd be, but I kind of want the next survivor to be a fire fighter who's perks revolve around getting others and themselves out of dire situations (like for example, a perk which allows them to carry a downed survivor both allowing the carried survivor to recover and get off, while slowing the rescuer slightly)

Don't care about killer, likely not gonna play them anyway. Only really play killers to learn how to survive better.

  • It didn't come with a cosmetic because from buying the DLC Chapter you get a charm of the Umbrella Logo

    image.png

Even then, the bonus cosmetic usually goes to the survivors (even with the Leatherface paragraph, the bonus cosmetic is a Dwight head piece where it's normal Dwight but you can tell he's been beaten up. The only paragraph and/or chapter that focused on giving the killer the bonus cosmetic was Ghost Face). So even if it wasn't a charm, I imagine the bonus cosmetic would've been a torso piece for both Jill and Leon that just add some blood and bandages.

Still, that would be a nice cosmetic and I would love to see it in the game.

  • I get them because I'm a completionist and also in the hopes that an outfit could come to make them useful (the 4th Anniversary Crowns look like Halos, so because of that I can make Jeff look like Jesus, make Kate an angel, and to give a [David] King a crown. The 5th looks like a magic symbol so I'm hoping a survivor could get a wizard outfit, like wizard robes, to make the crown fit there)

  • I was using Flashbang, already had one equipped and I could get another and a locker was near. Without thinking about it, I gave the one I was holding to the Dwight I was working on the gen with and got another.

That Flashbang quite literally saved my life. Dwight pulled off a Flashbang save on the killer while I was the one being carried (and it was death hook). Because all the gens were done and there was an exit gate 99'd nearby, both me and the Dwight escaped. It was one of the best feelings in the world that both a random and the person I gave the FB to saved me.

Other than that, haven't been many but I still use Flashbang often.

  • Personally when I die, I want it to be fast and as over as soon as possible. I can't and don't want to imagine slowly dying in an unescapable manner being in constant pain where death is a mercy.

That's exactly what dying on the hook is. Being impaled around the chest for minutes after just being attacked a little bit earlier. Sounds brutal, man.

EGC is also brutal and sounds like it'd hurt (you can literally hear bones breaking), but at least your death isn't slow and agonizing, it's just fast and painful.

When did DBD become among us

  • Every killer is good with it, just ask me, a totally non-biased gen-rushing survivor main 👌😎👍️

    Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲▼

Literally no one, it's an outdated offering that only worked at the beginning of the game because no one had any idea what they were doing and survivors were scared to be alone. Now everyone knows what they're doing and prefer to be alone. The only way to redeem this offering is to give it to the survivors, and give survivors Shroud that unites survivors to the killers.

  • That technically won't get rid of the stand still mind game, Spirit could just activate her power and stand still for a bit. Still, would be nice to know Spirit is actually phasing (there's no guessing on that) so I think it'd be a good band-aid fix.

  • It was an alright game. My main interest, as a survivor main, is the possibility of 2 survivors this chapter (I'm hoping for Ashley and Chris, but I think the popular option is Sam and Mike which I'd also be down for).

If it was only 1 survivor... eh, okay. There could be a good map and killer but I feel Until Dawn is all about the characters so it only having 1 survivor would feel weird in my opinion.

  • Haven't seen the Halloween movies so I don't really know what his abilities would be like, just going off what I think I know. So again, please forgive me if I get anything wrong or this is completely inaccurate. With that being said, here's my changes.

    • Michael has a car
      • Michael can also drive the car
    • While in "Car" Mode, terror radius is reduced to 0 meters (from what I remember hearing, somehow no one could locate the car he was in) and it's an instant down for survivors if ran over.

    You are so much stronger than me ;_;

Has another perk become your go to? Or are you trying to mix it up as much as possible?

    image.png image.png image.png

Body is 1 character too short.

  • Spine Chill, took me around 2 years to finally be able to let go of it. I am now doing everything in my power to not equip it again so I don't get attached hard to it.

  • It's time to admit it's a good map when it actually becomes a good map. But as of right now, it isn't good in the slightest.

  • A Hillbilly skin that makes Hillbilly look like a school student (story based on description of the cosmetic: When he broke out, he saw a school bus and decided to get on as he was curious as to what it was. Suddenly becoming a student at school somehow)

Hillbilly School Outfit includes a nice backpack and Dunce Cap, Epic Sneakers sure to make the kids at school jealous, and a large Pencil/Ruler as the weapon.

  • Doctor Main, literally never used Franklins except for that one time trying to get Bubba's adept.

Survivor Main, I think I only seen a Doctor use it once or twice, mainly it's literally anyone else that runs it. Literally anyone else aside from Demo, Demo's basically never use it.

  • I got Elodie, as it's about time the Ace main gets Appraisal (the epic Chest perk). Also been having more fun than I thought I would with Deception.

Now I'm saving up the rest of the shards for an Ace skin, if the upcoming Fisherman Ace outfit (don't think it's much of a spoiler since you can see the banner of it in the Anniversary Loading Screen) is available with Shards that'd be epic as I'll be prepared. If not, I plan on getting either the Pink Rascal or Shady Scoundrel outfits.

I feel the problem with putting Corrupt Intervention basekit in some nerfed form would be that in so doing, you likely neuter the actual perk out of existence as well. Not to mention that survivors wouldn't know whether the gen would be blocked for only a few seconds or for two whole minutes.

Putting it basekit in its actual form? No way in hell. That perk is 5 stars material and you better use a perk slot if you want it.

I had a dumb idea for a secondary objective for the survivors and that would involve finding a part in order to activate the exit gates. There would be two of them in a trial (one for both gates) and they would be in chests. One of them would always spawn in the basement chest, the other would be in a random chest somewhere. My main concern with this would be that this would probably create lots of confusion for the end game as to whoever holds the parts and what not.

Not to mention that survivors wouldn't know whether the gen would be blocked for only a few seconds or for two whole minutes.

That's a good thing, though. Everyone knows Killer sucks early game, so having a bit of a mindgame at the beginning is good for them. If they find out it is CI they wasted a few seconds which buys killer time to do stuff. I really don't see the problem here.

I keep thinking about it, and I just can't find the problem with Survivors not knowing if it's CI or Basekit Corrupt.

  • What do you mean, specifically? You want to give Nurse a Wedding Ring (key add-on), or something?

  • Doesn't matter if he's his own survivor or a Jeff Legendary, either way we want Carl!

  • I don't know how stupid this might sound, but imagine if Corrupt was slightly base-kit. Corrupt as we know it would still be in the game, the farthest generators are blocked for 120 seconds, but base-kit it's 15 seconds.

This way there still is some use to it, 15 seconds may not sound like much but in a game where every second counts it could be useful. It wouldn't be OP, as having 3 gens blocked for 2 minutes sounds a little unfair if a perk wasn't equipped. Finally and most importantly, I think it'd be funny to have situations where survivors think they can just wait out 15 seconds for the gen to get unblocked, then realize the killer actually brought Corrupt so they just wasted 15 seconds doing nothing practical.

It's a bit useful but isn't OP, and I think allowing killers 15 seconds to get to the opposite side of the map is fair.

  • Not including Killers as I'm a survivor main and Yun-Jin as I don't have her yet, I say Power Struggle. It's effect is too situational and even with Flip-Flop the killer isn't likely to slug long enough for it to work. Even if they do, I think I'd have more value with Unbreakable as I don't have to waste a pallet (and 2 perk slots) to save myself.

  • Pick whoever you want, whoever makes you most happy and you want to play as, as long as whoever you want to play as is Ace.

  • Feng, she's basically my bad luck charm on any side (As Survivor? Always saves in front of killer and in general makes really bad decisions that cost games while also being selfish people that without hesitation will sacrifice teammates for hatch. As Killer? I can't avoid the gen rush to save my life, Chase 1 survivor for a couple of seconds and then 3 gens get done, also this time they are competent at the game and can loop well)

  • Killer: Save The Best For Last

Just feels nice hitting survivors with 8 stacks.

    Survivor: For The People

I had too many clutch and insane moments with this, and it's also pretty dang fun.

  • I'm just really interested in how you'd incorporate a game like Persona, a time-management RPG, into a game like DBD. This is just the option that stands out most to me so that's why I picked it.

  • I get them in case there ever becomes a skin which would be good with them (i.e. what if Dwight gets a Wizards Robe and Pants, maybe the 5th Year Crown goes well with it since it looks like a magic symbol)

But mainly, it is just a need to complete them.

  • I thought Botany Knowledge only worked near plants, so I'd always Self-Care near plants (I vaguely remember always going outside on Lery's when I was injured to SC with Botany).

Was this not the reason they were so hated to begin with?

    You know what, you're right.

My suggestion was just too lazy, so to add to the changes I already made.

    • Feral Frenzy is now a passive ability that is always active
      • Basically, Legion is now a very fast M1 Killer with detection and the ability to vault pallets.

There, now there's a different reason to hate them.

  • If they did this I would actually maybe consider buying Legendary Skins, I might actually buy Jonathan (and definitely will buy Hopper when he comes).

    • Feral Frenzy no longer makes survivors have to mend
    • Feral Frenzy now downs injured survivors
  • Meh

At least the Naughty Bear charm looks cool, but that's about it. The Crowns aren't even good, they look worse than Last Years (at least the 4th Year Crowns were useful in making Jeff look like Jesus with a Halo, this years looks weird and doesn't fit anybody).

But hey, at least the BP is nice.

  • I've been in Purple Ranks as well, so I don't know how you're getting the fun matches.

I've been trying my best to get the crowns but fail hard for the effort I put in (only having Jeff, Ace, Dwight, Meg, Claudette, and Jake. Out of 30 games of me trying my hardest, I only managed 6 wins).

Personal highlights of my terrible killer experience have been a Wraith who used an Ebony Mori with Ruin and Undying, a Demogorgon with Insidious who camped and only let all the licensed survivors leave (none were Stranger Thing character, it was a Tapp and Ash I believe. Also, I do know he let them leave as he was watching them open the exit gate), Multiple Killers that slugged at 4 gens, and Finally an Infectious Fright Nurse that also slugged but this time at 5 gens.

I think they would if it was possible, but I’m assuming the license holders rejected it in most cases. Hence they didn’t want to cause confusion by giving it to some but not all.

Realisticly, I could only see Ghostface getting it anyways, and maybe the ST characters.

Considering Valve's apparent hating of money being received from Bill (all the L4D content in the rift is free, Bill himself is the only free licensed character and you don't even have to unlock him with shards as he's just there, and his Ugly Sweater is just in everyone's inventory) and them being open to BHVR (after all, he's the first and so far only licensed rift character) I think as long as the crowns are free, which they are, Bill would also be an easy grab for the crowns.

I know that's completely unrelated to the main point, which I agree with, just wanted to throw that in there.

  • 4th Anniversary because it looks more like a halo (for a science experiment I got both crowns on Jeffsus, and Jeffsus looks more like Jesus in the 4th Crown then the 5th, and as we all know the only reason to get the Crown is to make Jeff look like Jesus)

  • The killers were horrible... They do things to you, man. They, They slug at 4 gens, use Ebony Mori's when possible, killers go out of their way to be

    image.png

to shiny survivors and to camp and tunnel them when possible.

Today, a Ghostface went slugging with only 1 gen left. He slugged the Dwight, Yui tried coming for him to save him, Ghostface was near the Dwight and had Yui 99ed, Both Yui and Dwight got down... All I did the entire time was look for hatch because I brought a key! And what did I get for leaving my teammates behind like they were just stairs... A halo for a character I don't even use. *cries*
