Idea for Predator I had for a while now but didn't know where to share.
Rework: Predator
Your acute tracking ability allows you to hone in on disturbances left by
runningmoving Survivors. After a survivor stops running, they still leave scratch marks for 2/3/4 seconds.
The idea is to make it more Predator-ish if that makes sense, to still be able to find prey even if they think they lost you. As it is now, Predator is an active disadvantage, but this could give the perk more situations and uses.

Even if you just want the torso and pants thats still $10
That's $8, and I said I only wanted the Jacket ($4)
-
My vote goes to Saw, because the only other licenses here I personally knew were Stranger Things, L4D, Silent Hill, and Resident Evil (I also known about Halloween and NoES, but I don't count those I never seen a movie in the series before) and there's no way I'll put Stranger Things, L4D, Silent Hill, or Resident Evil in my least favorite license in DBD.
If you meant least favorite DBD License (as in how they are implemented in the game) then by no competition Silent Hill (sets were the worst thing to happen in this game, and Konami is why we have it. Thanks)

@kate_best_girl said:
Guys you realize its the same price either way right? Linked or not you still need to pay $10
No, we might not pay for the head/torso/pants and we can customize them (for example, I would only buy Leon's RE4 Jacket to go with his default pants and head. I would only pay $4).
You still have to pay $10 if you want the full thing, but a lot of us don't want the full thing so we aren't paying $10.

What's the price difference between a 3-set with different pieces vs. a 3-set with only 2 differences?
There is no price difference, that's why everyone's mad.

We're already spending $30 on the Redfields, and now we must pay $4 for DEFAULT HAIR while limiting our creative freedom. This was a terrible move, shame on you BHVR.

Wow, you really can't wait for 10 years? Man, stop being so impatient.
-
Wowie, 15 more seconds, I'm gonna use this immediately. Move out of the way Resilience, you're useless now.
Sarcasm out of the way, yeah no this is still a garbage perk used exclusively for adepts.
-
For the ridiculous price BHVR is charging for these (even if they do get their own voice lines and such, a regular character with perks is still $10 cheaper) this should've been done from the very beginning.
Honestly wish you could buy a "legendary pack" in the store of a certain character for $15 to make it a more justified purchase (like, instead of getting Lisa Garland for $15, you get Lisa Garland (Legendary), Bloodied Lisa Garland (Legendary), Shattered Memories Lisa Garland (Legendary), and a Charm of something) so there is actual value other than a character that doesn't even feel like a character.
(Because I like spending time in MS Paint, here's a rough explanation of what I was trying to describe in picture form. Not my best work, but then again none of them are. Note, you can view the models in 3D before having to buy it, I just don't know how it would work)

Grandmaster Adept Challenges are going to red rank as a killer, and getting a merciless (double pip) killer with no perks or add-ons.
It's a fan challenge that does nothing if you complete it, other than satisfaction that you did it :)

I accidentally clicked on "🟧I don't like it but its whatever", when I meant to click on "🟨I'm indifferent on this matter", so note that when I speak.
I know little to nothing about IT because I've never been interested in it so I never bothered. From what I hear it's pretty good but I'm focused on other things.
On one hand it'd be our first Book license which is cool, but if we could have a license based on books I'd rather have Goosebumps just because I can see the map being AMAZING (imagine if it was the Wii Game Goosebumps HorrorLand, man that was certainly... a game? Idk I don't remember much of it, all I remember was the opening cutscene).
Either way I got my Stranger Things, Left 4 Dead, and Resident Evil licenses so I really don't care who it is next.
-
I have around 200,000. I would be playing more but it's E3 week so I've been focused watching the conferences. So far Microsoft's was the best.

Perk 1: Rhythm Hell
Despite being taken and forced to play an endless killing game you want no part of, that doesn't mean your love of music has to go.
This perk reduces your hearing of everything reduced by 75% and allows you submit a YouTube link pre-trial to listen to (if you submit nothing, you get a DBD random DBD song).
Grooving to music increases your movement speed by 2/2.5/3% and your action speeds are increased by 15/20/25%

Gonna be honest, I can't really think of anything else. I fit too well as a survivor.

If you fear this then wouldn't you say that this is a problem that the developers need to fix rather then hide the issues in the muddied cess pool of mega data that they have now?
They can't do anything if they can't see it. There needs to be pain before the healing can begin.
You know what, you're right. I don't think I'll ever stop being a bit scared about it (until it comes) but I'll trust that the developers know what they're doing and that this will eventually become great.

So, exactly what I said? I hate to break it to you, but your idea of fun does not mesh with that of anyone who wants to actually play to win. If you want chill games, go play a chill game. But Dead by Daylight ain't it.
And if you decide to keep playing DbD when you want to chill, you can't complain about other people actually doing their best to win. And you must understand that many people - especially Killers - are not screwing around. You can't have it all your way.
That's not exactly what you said. I never said DBD was Chill, but I did say it was fun. My definition of a fun game is a game that constantly evolves and becomes a different experience when played, with a ton of options to how you play it.
That's why Minecraft is one of my most favorite games of all time, each seed is different and there are multiple ways to play it (Manhunt, Hide and Seek, Hardcore, and WAY more). That's why DBD is one of my favorite games of all time (multiple builds and killers and maps all combine into an evolving experience. You can be a killer that's slower than a Snail with a BK Myers build, you can use Desperate Measures and Botany to heal at extreme levels).
What I'm afraid of is that if this happens, all the matches will feel samey. It's either a Nurse with a slugging build, Spirit with Stridor, or something else Meta, with DS and Unbreakable Survivors pounding gens as fast as they can. When I play DBD I want a different experience, and I'm afraid of the possibility if that happens the trials are going to be less special. I don't care if I win or lose as long as the match was fun and unique, but I don't think these matches will be either.
-
Because if it works I'm afraid I'll only get serious killers who sweat a lot. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying serious matches are bad, but only in small quantities. If I ONLY get serious matches against serious killers every day it takes away a lot of the fun for me (for instance, if I want to use the Mither of Man (Mettle of Mither) build I'll only get killed around 2 minutes in by an amazing Nurse).
This is why I really want a casual mode that's away from our current ranked (if this happens). Maybe casual mode has no ranks and less bloodpoints, but it's for survivors who want to mess around with funny perks and killers who don't want to sweat all the time.

Even if Doctor loses, I'm proud my boi made it to top 6.
Anyway, my argument for Doctor being the coolest can be described here.
@Elcopollo said:
I don't feel like it's very fair to put licensed characters together with original ones, as licenses aren't really a natural part of Dead by Daylight and have had the following far before the DbD was even created, hence why a lot of people gonna be biased. That being said, as much as I like them, I don't take Nemesis, Demogorgon and Pyramid Head into account. So, we're down to Doctor, Oni and Spirit.
Now, although I believe Oni's lore being far better than Doctor's, when it comes to the sole "killer" aspect, Herman Carter has no competition in this poll. Unlike Spirit, Doctor isn't a victim of circumstances, he isn't a "forced killer" who simply seeks justice against those, who hurt him. Unlike Oni, Doctor doesn't hide behind the mask - he has a metal headgear, yes, but the horrendous face we see under it is still his face. Unlike both Yamaokas, Doctor isn't a supernatural undead being, so it's easier to relate to this killer is the sense of believability. He's not a demon, he's not a ghost, he's a human. Maniacal and completely crazy human. Moreover - he's not only "close to objective reality", he is based on the actual real-world person, who is still alive and well. It's not the revenge that drives him, it's lust for power. His laugh, the way he enjoys every murder he commits and every experiment he conducts; he isn't someone going after those who he hates or feels disgust towards. He is a man of his own interests, which go beyond the emotional aspect and reach rather a rational aspect. His rage doesn't feed him, his intelligence does. And a man, who knows what he's doing and gives thought to every detail of his atrocities is far scarier than a man, who acts on impulse.
As well as how cool he was at the time. Other killers before (except Michael who was licensed) were all sympathetic who were dealt a bad hand, but the Doctor actively wanted Power and everything about him screams Power (first killer with an anti-loop ability, the fact it's impossible to hide from him, how the CIA in lore deemed his actions too brutal even for them, his add-ons both display power and intelligence with the chest piece add-ons. Doctor is someone you can't hide from, can't outwit, and can't loop) and he was the major turning stone for Killer lore (Doctor was the first killer who's backstory wasn't about the killers being mistreated or explaining how they got that way, no Doctor WANTED power. Ever since all killers WANTED something, whether it's to kill S.T.A.R.S., kill fake samurais, vengeance, food, or whatever Pyramid Head was idk never played SH2).
The Doctor is both based on terrifying reality and can stand on his own as awesome if you knew none of it. Doctor in my opinion is one of the most influential killers in the game, a posterboy for modern DBD (in my opinion) and THE coolest Killer BHVR has ever made.
-
Ace's perks get too much hate, he still has 2 really good perks (Open Handed and Ace in the Hole).
Honestly, If I made a survivor tier list based on perks, he would probably be 6th last.
-
I'm not the best at explaining why I picked Doctor... So I'll let someone else do it instead. Weird how 2 People on this thread shown a video by the same guy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6srKprky2f0Basically, he's possibly the most influential killer when it comes to killer's backstories (as other killers before just explaining why they are who they are. Doctor was the first who described a "want" in their lore, as Doctor wasn't dealt a bad hand like the other killers, he pushed himself to become a killer due to his personal wants). Secondly, holy crap is he brutal as heck. If the CIA had to stop him for being too brutal after hiring him for what he did in his tome entry, it asks what the hell did he do?
For multiple reasons explained way better than I can in the video, Doctor is by far my favorite original killer (possibly character, I just have Ace as my pfp because I play him slightly/moderately/considerably more often than Doctor) in the game and no killer comes close to him. His lore and design just add to it
-
@Gaffy said:
Cursed Legacy, I think you can tell why.
... Hmm, why would the Oni pfp like the Cursed Legacy chapter?
Huzah, I got it! It's because the chapter brought The Killer Oni to the game!
Which Oni brought along the perk Nemesis, which gave us a hint that laid undetected for over a year that Resident Evil's Nemesis would come to the game. And you picked cursed legacy because the Resident Evil chapter isn't already out so you don't consider it a DLC (since, technically, you can't pay for it), so Cursed Legacy for it's brilliant foreshadowing is your favorite DLC.
Man, I am so smart. I can't believe I figured out why the Oni pfp liked the Cursed Legacy chapter.
on a serious note, that was a great chapter. Probably my 2nd favorite chapter theme (first goes to All Kill for it's extremely unique K-Pop aesthetic and stunning visuals after a chapter as dark as Binding of Kin. Also, Oni and Yui were fantastic additions.
-
Agreed, this is a nerf. I will say, I was expecting another start off healthy suggestion, so thank you so much for not doing that, but I think leaving No Blood overall is more impactful than No Scratch Marks (which, really only Spirit benefits from Scratch Marks).
Personally, I'd make it so the grunts of pain are reduced by 50/75/100% and non-generator action speeds are increased by 15% (including vaulting, entering and exiting lockers, unhooking, healing, recovering on the floor, Sabotaging, even killer specifics like Cleansing Sickness and Jigsaw Box searching)
-
Being THE Multiplayer Zombie shooter, I don't think it has enough representation. Resident Evil is just coming out and has 2 survivor so while it's big and deserves another chapter, I will say I don't want it over L4D.
There are many ideas I have, and even a pretty unique killer idea. Too bad it's extremely complicated and I don't know how to describe it, but the idea is to completely change how DBD is played when The Horde (yeah, it's a group of special infected, kinda like Versus mode) is around.
At the very least, some Legendary skins of the L4D survivors would be Nice. It'd be really cool to SWF as the L4D1 survivors (unfortunately we can't, as Louis isn't represented at all).
-
I'll never forget the match I played with Yerv. It was the day Crossplay happened. I was an Ace trying to do blind rift challenges (at least I think, it's the only reason I'd have a flashlight), and yeah just skip to 7:58
https://youtu.be/tmTSrBifszgI was the person that caused that trying to flashlight save the Meg. I try not bringing it up as much, but the fact I played with and was in a Yerv video still makes me extremely happy.
-
The Halloween chapter
First to note, I don't play either Laurie or Michael. I really don't even use their perks, aside from STBFL on Doctor. I think this was the best chapter for the game, but it's not my favorite.
The reason I say this is because it was huge for the game's success. Getting a license like Halloween so early brought the game's sales and attention to a great height. I don't know what DBD would even be like without this chapter, it's that game changing.
It also brought a huge change to the game being obsession perks, and oh boy are obsession perks worth talking about. They're great.
My favorite however, I guess the Stranger Things chapter for bringing Steve, Surge, and Fixated, as well as having 2 survivors (the first and one of two chapters to do this) which was really cool.
-
This is Not Happening
You are certain that these circumstances are not happening, and you're not being chased around by a blood thirsty killer endlessly. And you're right.
You are able to turn off DBD.
"wow, that was not happening. I am so happy that it wasn't happening" - Lost tapes; Loser
This is Not Happening (the actual, non-meme idea this time)
This perk is always active. You always get the increased big sized great skill checks. Additionally, hitting them grants a 1% bonus (pairs with Stake Out for 3% Great Skill check bonus).
It's a beginner perk at it's core, it literally increases great skill check size. I just think it should be more inclusive to it's effect, having to be injured is stupid, and to give it a mediocre side effect which can work okay in a niche build.
-
"Meg excelled at DBD"
When Meg got transported to the Entity's Realm:
-
For the love of everything, do this! I hate it when a survivor already with an item searches a chest in front of me, with me being
A Default Ace with no item, Up The Ante in the bottom near the perks, with a Shiny Coin in the offering menu
(seriously, I tried everything to make it so obvious I'm doing a chest build) while I'm trying to do the chest quests.
-
I think we should go back to some licenses and add more content. I think the popular opinion is we need more licenses (that are done well) but I think we have a lot of honorable franchises that should be added to. Main examples
- A potential paragraph to Halloween that adds Samuel Loomis as a survivor
- L4D having some similarities with DBD (mainly the 4 survivors against near impossible odds), I think it would be nice to go with a full on chapter (my opinion being Coach should be the new survivor, with either a Charger/Tank, Witch, or potentially Horde of zombies as a killer)
- If we ever get licensing to the original Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, Nancy Thompson is an obvious survivor addition.
- We should get a Scream chapter. The Ghost Face doesn't count, it's just a mask. I mean the Killer from the original movie and Sidney Prescott.
- Resident Evil should get another chapter eventually. Not in this year, maybe not even in the next, but I think Resident Evil should be revisited eventually.

Perk 1: Awakened
Your ability to not be easily tired as well as your great eyesight and hearing give you heightened senses in the entity's realm
Your field of view is increased by 9/12/15°
A survivor that did a loud action is revealed to you for 3 seconds, this effect of the perk has a cooldown of 30/25/20 seconds
"Entering this fog, I felt as if I grew a 3rd eye. Not one on my head, but it's more like drone I can control with my mind and see through? It's as if I was seeing myself in 3rd person. I'm not the best at explaining this, but you feel it too, right?"
Perk 2: In the zone
Once you start, it's hard to stop
When running for 30/25/20 seconds, this perk gains a token up to a total of 5. This perk loses tokens when you stop running at a rate of 6/5/4 seconds lost each second (i.e. Run for 18 seconds, walk for 2 seconds, the token has 6/8/10 seconds of progress).
Consume a token when vaulting to increase your vault speed by 20%. Can consume three tokens to vault a blocked window.
"I couldn't think of a good quote for this, in fact I even had trouble thinking of this one as it was the last perk I made... Ehh, who cares"
Perk 3: Enjoying the Company
Despite adding little to conversations, you still love spending time with people. You're not going to let anything hurt these people.
When within 10 meters of another survivor, this perk starts filling up. Each survivor you're near reduces this perk's cooldown by 1 second, this perk takes 300/270/240 seconds to activate.
If this perk is full, you can press the ability button near a killer carrying a survivor to punch them and to make let go of them. You become hindered for 5 seconds. The survivor rescued leaves no scratch marks, blood trails, or noise for 10 seconds.
"Jesus Christ, that hurt like hell! How did that even work is no matter right now, get outta here!"
Edited Bonus: Description:
Difficulty: Intermediate
An introverted socialist, actively trying to get others out of trouble
His personal perks Awakened, In The Zone, and Enjoying the Company, allow him to locate and save survivors, while taking the heat off of them and get the killer on them to loop more efficiently.
-
- If you can take anything from the entity's realm (literally anything, even an exit gate door if wanted), what would you take?
- Who's your least favorite survivor/killer?
-
Spine Chill and Resilience (I'm too much of a coward to unequip Spine Chill, so I just add Resilience to pretend I'm doing a vault speed build, but I'm really using Spine Chill)
Fixated (I love walking faster, as possible jukes and the information of knowing my scratch marks is great)
Sprint Burst (pairs well with Fixated)
-
Left 4 Dead: The Chapter (Free)
Absolutely love L4D, so when Bill was announced I was extremely happy yet slightly disappointed he came with no map or killer (to be fair he was free and came with 4 outfits for the OG survivors, but that still doesn't mean he came with a map or killer).
Killer: The Horde
I'm going to be honest, I haven't played the Versus mode in L4D, but I like the idea of the killer being killable and there being multiple killers to swap between. Maybe the killer(s) is called "The Horde" and you spawn as a random special infected, have the potential to be killed by enough flashlight or pallet stunning, spawn in as a different killer (around the same area you died), rinse and repeat until you get gen rushed.
Survivor: Coach
Since we have a L4D survivor, we should get a L4D2 survivor and I say it either comes down to Nick or Coach (Rochelle and Ellis are costumes). I say Coach because I think he's the fan favorite and Adam wouldn't be overwhelmed with 2 skins (assuming we give L4D skins to characters added since then. Ace gets Nick, Adam gets Louis, we have Coach, we have every L4D survivor represented). Also, Ace is already the Gambler, Coach is a Coach and we haven't seen a Coach yet.
Map: Fairfield ("no mercy" campaign, l4d1)
There are many locations in L4D to pick. Picked Fairfield as it's the map that started everything. Also, it'd be really funny to say "David has been in Fairfield" and be correct.
-
Agreed with everyone else said. It also doesn't last long, only staying for 5 seconds and leaving you exhausted for 40 seconds. I also really don't like the exhaustion (like, what if I was fully healed, Adrenaline pops, killers finds and injures me quick, I can't use Dead Hard).
I'm gonna be honest, I don't really like Endgame perks (except on killers, it's funny there), and if I ever use one I'd rather it be Hope. I personally think Hope is the better endgame perk (it doesn't leave you exhausted, slightly counters NOED [NOED has a 4% speed boost, Hope has a 7%, you have 3% over NOED], lasts for 2 minutes, more consistent in the effect it gives [lasts longer than 5 seconds])
-
Leon's my last most wanted survivor out of the big 4 I really wanted (Someone that always smile [Ace], Steve Harrington [even though I don't play him cause I hate his voice], an original Blonde-Hair [Felix, wanted original so they get loads of cosmetics], and finally Leon Kennedy). I'm definitely leveling up Leon first. Even gonna try P3ing him before the event starts, so I'm likely not even gonna touch Jill or Nemesis until July 16.

GHOSTFACE is the coolest killer in this game by a wide margin. Realistic, believable, simple and doesn't rely on magic. The Entity enhances his ability to one shot people, but doesn't have to give him magical abilities or a power tool to be lethal. And he looks creepy, scary and funny. He deserves to win.
Agree to disagree, I think realistic people are not cool when it comes to killers (note I said, cool, not scary. I'm scared of Bubba, but I don't think he's cool. I'm scared of Ghostface, but to me he's just a decently sized man with a knife and not cool. Doctor is a brutal man who seemingly mastered electricity, using electric bolts to kill people is cool)
-
@GGSlushy said:
i didnt thought that doctor would come to the finals
To be perfectly honest I'm more surprised about Ghostface, what's cool about a man that actively hides while being an obsessive murderer? He's about as cool as Legion for me.
-
Idk, (assuming we put everyone in this fighting game, including the survivors) that'd be 51 playable fighters, if we don't include someone people would notice and be mad. We should just put them in go karts, Drift by Daylight.
-
Honestly should've done this from the beginning, they really wanted us to see the new face model on the default head (being covered by glasses and a hat). Looks great, I'm happy Ace has been done justice.
-
I'm a survivor main, I do play killer but only on tomes and to become a better survivor. The rare times I do play killer, my mains are locked and I don't feel like switching them. Will say I'm very happy Nemesis is in the game, conceptually (like Freddy. Except I like Nemesis WAY more than Freddy in this game), and if Leon gets non-set cosmetics (Steve Cosmetic good, Cheryl Cosmetic bad) he'll be my secondary survivor main.
-
I want a lot of small-game horror characters to eventually come. Characters from great games, but not big enough to be a chapter.
Most notable example I have now is Girl (the main character) from Cat in the Box as, idk a Kate legendary?
-
Edit: Ignore

To everyone who says Console players can't type fast (wrong)
we have keyboards too, you know!
Honestly don't know why people hate the idea of it so much. I understand the toxicity concern, but it's still possible to hide chat if you don't want to see it. It isn't fair that PC gets so much favoritism, the least we can get is an end game chat (which, mind you, can be toggled off). At the very least it's what we deserve for our constant time and money playing the game, basic communication.
