  • The puns in this thread are starting to get to me. It's too punny, guys. We should nea-ver stop and should keep this up in a dwight-fully cheerful matter.

  • @Hunky32 Hey, Hunky! Glad to see you've gotten into Dead By Daylight! On the topic of your statement, I should inform you that, as of right now, Killers are in a current state where they're not as powerful as they can be. You're fairly new, as you've said, and everything you're going against is presumably the META for the Killer playerbase. I would inform you that, eventually, after dealing with these, you'll learn to get better and compete against it, just like other Survivors have. :)

I hope you continue to play and learn everything there is to learn! Keep at it and try to have fun. :D

    You mean, Nea-n?

    I'll see myself out now.

Nea-ver stop saying beautiful puns. 😭

  • @Hoodedfengm1n Yes. (Now we pray for Bunny Feng and Bunny Legion)

  • The new Hero is literally Demoman.

  • Monstrous Shrine, Wake Up, Deja Vu, Hex: The Third Seal, Iron Maiden, Territorial Imperative, and Insidious all really need some sort of new rework or buff.

Monstrous is only used in Basement Leatherface builds, it's just not useful overall for all Killers, sadly.

Wake Up is kind of better for the new Endgame Collapse, but it's still just as effective as Spine Chill or Leader, making it really overshadowed.

Deja Vu can't compete with Detective's Hunch and pretty much every map. It needs to be looked into for a perk that still has the same concept since it's release.

Third Seal isn't entirely useless or useful, it's a mix, and it should honestly be better. Blindness isn't an overall good mechanic when it comes to SWF.

Iron Maiden is only useful on Doctor and Huntress, and even then, the benefits from this perk aren't entirely useful for most Killers, even Legion, and it's his perk.

Territorial Imperative is probably the least used perk amongst Killers and that's just depressing.

Insidious hasn't changed in years, and the only Killer it really benefits off of is Leatherface, not to mention that Tinkerers does a better job at keeping you hidden when you mostly need it, unlike this perk itself.

  • @Peanits You seem to be on right now, what's up with that..? Why was Milordo's post removed..? D:

  • @Milordo Your post just...Up and vanished??

  • Why did you post this twice..??

  • No one knows currently, and I don't think the devs will outright say that she'll be in it if they're trying to keep it on the DL right now about the Scream information.

  • Save The Best For Last (or in this case, first!): Everytime you hit your obsession, you get the bonus recovery affect from cooldown hits, however, everytime you hit anyone else, you lose 2/3/4 tokens that were gained from hitting the obsession.

  • @Tefatika That is true, I am worried that this could cause a lot of issues within the game for Players who might spend too much on it and hurt themselves, but we'll have to see.

  • Totems in the basement would be nice! And having a cover would be very unique, just as long as the candles don't burn it. There is potential in this, but it could use more detail, such as, how long would you suggest it take to remove the cover? A quick second? Few seconds? Also, would bloodpoints be given by the tarp removal and would perks like Leader, Small Game, Spine Chill, etc affect the tarp removal speed?

Great idea, just more information would be nice, such as locations and etc. :D

  • I don't personally tunnel, but I only do so if I have to, such as if the Survivor I had recently hooked gets unhooked and charges at me, I'm not gonna let them just get an easy escape for making a mistake. I won't purposely go out of my way to hunt down one player, however, as that wastes my time and just buys the Survivor's more time to get stuff done. Even then, the only 'tunneling' I really do is if I happen to see the Survivor I injured alone and expecting me to either ignore them or leave them be.

You buy games to have fun and win, and if having fun means taking care of business when needed, then you're technically winning in your own personal book.

  • @Elegant I thought that was Legion? 🤔🤔🤔

  • 1: Taking a hit from MoM isn't farming, that's not even remotely close to farming.

    Anddd...

2: You'll be fine, it was just a false report, and if anything, you can report him for falsely reporting you if you really want/need to.

  • Loving these jams so far, everyone! 😄

  • @Iceman Oh, yeah, I agree, I was just stating what the topic should've been about lol

  • @Iceman @AshleyWB To clarify, I meant the battle pass, NOT a season pass, which is completely different. I re-edited the post for that, in which I apologize for in the confusion.

  • @se05239 Who knows anymore, anything is possible, though I don't think they'd pull an EA on us.

@Iceman Yeah, probably, I meant just relating towards the ONE season (AKA the battle pass, I guess?) the pass gives, but I guess I just forgot the difference between Battle and Season passes, in sense of terms. If it IS a season pass, in which it goes for an entire year, then yeah, I'd pay for that, but if it's just a Battle Pass, then they should look into that being a bit cheaper.

  • Still makes no difference, though it would essentially be more useless if you made it exposed, as it wouldn't have the benefits of less bleeding, quiet moans, and being able to use perks such as Dead Hard if you just outright had the exposed status affect.

  • No, hostage would be having the game held for 20 minutes or more just to wait for the Killer/Survivor to DC.

  • @Orti said:

Looking into the amount of purple cosmetic you can earn I doubt it would be under 20$ it's too less to let them earn money with it otherwise

Mayhaps...Though that could really be a low blow to the community if that were the case. ;(

  • Possibly due to Legion's changes maybe having them think that Legion players could use the slower mending add-ons to waste Survivor's time and try to locate them without having the Killer have the upper advantage in being able to remember who had the least amount of time left to mend.

That's just my theory as to why though.

  • They're not currently looking into implementing any changes to NoeD. The devs believe it is currently balanced, so we shall just leave it at that.

  • Guess I gotta give them a 'hand' for such a creative death if that were to happen.

I'll find myself out the door.

  • Doesn't really make sense, as the perk is supposed to reward you for actually rescuing your teammates. Not to mention that it can be easily abused and could end up being the one thing that costs your teammates their own lives, as you're sacrificing yourself for a few extra bloodpoints and giving the Killer more pressure on your life.

  • For Xbox, just hit the RB button (or your secondary action button, if you changed it, AKA the one used to hit skillchecks) while in the process of healing with a Medkit at any point before a Skillcheck comes up.

    Hope that helps. :)

  • For Doc, yes.

Whenever a Survivor is Tier 3'd by Doc, they'll start to look around frantically and their running animation is slightly different than normal. If you're trying to figure out who you've been shocking, however, it's always good to press esc and check all of the Survivor's names and who they're playing as for a quick second to make sure you're wanting to shock the one you want.

    For Plague? Not really.

For her, you just gotta pay attention to who you've been puking on and who might be in the local area, such as, if you puke on a gen and notice someone is suddenly sick, then you'll know where to go by past memories of where you puked.

    Hope this helps. :)

  • Problems relating towards Chucky being in DbD:

    1: Hooks.

Hooks would have to be significantly smaller, in order to fit Chucky's height, which could give Survivor's a competitive advantage at knowing who the Killer is right off the bat by knowing the Hook's height. Plus, it would be silly seeing Survivors getting hooked off of a baby meat hook.

    2: Size.

Killers such as Legion and Hag already have a disadvantage AND advantage for their smaller heights. Coldwind is hell on most smaller Killers, and playing as Chucky on there would be absolutely painful. However, the advantage that Legion gets off of their height is the small chance of confusing the Survivors into thinking they're a Survivor if they bring perks such as Tinkerers or Monitor, however, for Chucky, he would just have a huge advantage in general, as he could easily avoid flashlights, it would be harder to pallet stun him, and he'd be easier to lose in a chase. (Disadvantage on that last part for anyone playing him)

Your idea isn't half bad though! It's just that mechanics and map layouts in the game might need to be looked further into if they ever decided to implement someone like Chucky into the game.

  • I'm still hoping BHVR will look into my idea that I gave awhile back relating towards how other companies treat DC'ing in their games...

Pair DC'ing players with other DC'ing Survivors and Killers, while also keeping the ban system for anyone who excessively DCs too many times. (Presumably 2+ to be paired with other's, while banning should be taken seriously at 4-5+)

  • Yes, that is abusing the window and an exploit.

  • Honestly, if people just voiced their opinions in a calm, collected, and nice manner, then maybe they'd get more feedback and responses from the devs relating to their ideas or changes that they want rather than calling people out on being 'toxic' or a rude slur for simply just wanting to have their thoughts voiced aloud towards changes that COULD help the game. And if it doesn't end up heping? Well then, they can talk about it and not argue over it.

  • I try my best to give the most positivity here on the forums as possible. I just hope everyone can soon start having the same mindset to treat others the same way they'd want to be treated and respected as, rather than rude and outright toxic. But hey, we can all dream..

Just got in but QA is already on the case, don't worry.

Where would we be without you two? <3

  • @Shad03 not_Queen knows about us, she's mentioned our pins before in some posts, so I'm certain before the forum update, someone saw your post. Just stay positive, my friend. :)

  • @Shad03 That's up to you, friend. Legion isn't in bad shape currently, but he could use some work. As long as you voice your feedback to someone like not_Queen or Peanits in a positive matter, I'm sure they'll like to comment on your thoughts. :)

  • Possibly due to the limitations that the Entity (game) can handle in creating domains (maps).

  • Classic mode:

Survivors can only play Dwight, Claudette, Jake, or Meg.

    Killers can only play Trapper.

No one is allowed to use any Perks, however add-ons and items are allowed.

The only map allowed is all maps from the Macmillan Estate.

Endgame Collapse is disabled during Classic mode.

Brings back the feeling you’d have when playing the game if you had it during the beta or never got to play it and wanted to try it! :D

Items and add-ons are simply allowed to just give that extra bonus and surviability/killability for both sides. :P

  • @prayer_survivor NoeD’s opposite equivalent is Adrenaline. Both are Endgame perks that are activated once gens are done, while MoM is activated anytime at any point during the the trial. Your point would’ve be relevant towards maybe something like Devour Hope or Rancor, yet you aimed for the one perk every Survivor likes to complain about that isn’t at all as OP as MoM.

Get another hit, sure, that seems about right, however, it’s annoyingly difficult to do so if most Survivors with MoM combine it with Dead Hard or Balanced Landing, making situations in which Killers are suppose to apply pressure more difficult if they can’t exactly catch the Survivor in time, especially if it’s near Endgame and the Survivor get Adrenaline.

  • @ReikoMori You forget though that they still have no hope once the hatch closes; They have to deal with Endgame, a Killer chasing them, and still have the chance to escape with a key or Wake Up, but the chances of that actually happening are slim. The changes just help give more situational awareness towards both sides!

Killer wants to close the hatch? The final Survivor can try to stick near exits and take 10-20 seconds to escape, still giving a small chance for the killer to get to them, but only if they are aware of how far apart the gates are and if they have NoeD to help them.

Survivors can look for hatch, but if they stick too close to the Killer while doing so, they can either have it close right in front of them or get yanked out. There’s still a lot of advantages for the Killer to have, it’s just all about thinking your gameplan out. I do like the feedback though from everyone, it was only an idea that I had been thinking about. 😄

  • @Orion I guess the major problem I’m seeing is that something could come along like ‘Getting rid of Endgame’ being something that could happen.

  • @Orion Yeah, it’s solved, but the issue is that it just causes too many issues for Survivors than there is good. The problem I’m worried about is that, with how things go, if something isn’t done about the hatch situation relating towards it giving Survivors a free deathwish is the fact that most changes that could help Survivors generally end up hurting Killers, hence why I wanted to give an idea that could help both sides before something drastic comes. :P

  • @Madjura The Killer losing abilities could hurt Nurse, yes, but thinking about one Killer over other’s shouldn’t be a viewpoint, the only exception would be Freddy in having to think about, though his rework could change that

You can close the hatch if the Survivor decides to stick around it, cancelling the stand off and getting a free M1 hit while having to deal with Endgame can still easy guarantee you a Sacrifice.

  • @Claudette_Baguette

Again, it was only a theory. I wasn't outright stating you were camping, just saying that the game might've thought you were. :)

  • @shadowman0105 No sir, but if you do, I would look into reporting that into feedback so that the devs can go and make sure their players aren't getting hurt from a gameplay feature!

    Stay safe, buddy. :)
